Personality: Maya is normally a very kind, if somewhat introverted person. However, that does not mean that she will not use whatever means it takes to get the job that she is currently on done. Maya can be extremely seductive when she chooses to. She uses her mind and her body in order to gather information that is key to her objectives. She does have a fondness for animals, and somewhat for little children. Innocence is something that greatly peaks her curiosity. She has an immense craving for knowledge because of how she grew up to be. Of course there are times where she loses herself to either anger or the bloodlust. Maya usually loses herself to anger whenever anyone mentions how her face looks. It is a very sensitive subject to her and she usually responds with violence. If not she will normally become very cold for a short period of time. She also gets angry whenever anyone starts to destroy nature. Being so close to nature as she is, Maya has a tendency to lash out at anyone who dares harm it. While it is harder for her to lose herself to the bloodlust, it can still happen if she's not careful enough. That usually occurs when she ends up near a battle, or if she's unlucky enough to smell a large quantity of blood. If she is unlucky enough for either situation to occur, she will go into a frenzy and attack anyone and everyone around her. This can be offset by knocking her out, or moving her away from the source. Allowing her to eat a large portion of meat also helps, but is not recommended. After the bloodlust passes, she usually falls unconscious for a period of time. When Maya wakes up, she has no memory of anything that occurred during the bloodlust.
While she has no family or friends to speak of, any that Maya gathers are treasured. She would go to great lengths to protect her friends, whether it be from dark guilds or even legal ones. Maya has no qualms about killing, her more cynical side showing due to having been around enough death to last two lifetimes. She does like to refrain from it, and will pull out all the stops to make sure everyone comes out alive in the encounter. Maya might be a fighter, but she acts like a pacifist a lot.
When it comes to fighting, Maya loves an up close and personal battle. Despite not being trained at all, she has found that being in close quarters with her enemy is usually here she thrives in a fight. Longer ranges give her time to think, but she suffers trying to fight from a distance. If given the time, she can come up with fairly crude strategies for a fight, not many that work however. Maya is terrible as a leader, quite often not being able to coordinate with everyone at once. Following orders, on the contrary, comes naturally to her. She only strays when the orders contradict her morals, but otherwise will do anything to please her leader.
Likes:
•Meat - For some odd reason, Maya craves meat more than anything. She cannot go long with devouring some type of meat, be it animal or otherwise.
•Sweets- Maya has always had a penchant for sweets, it is one of the things that carried over from the accident other than a few memories.
•Nature - Maya feels at one in forests and with little human presence. Ever since her childhood, she would spend as much time as possible outside around trees and small critters.
Dislikes:
•Unnecessary Bloodshed - Maya dislikes having to kill when it isn't necessary. It seems to happen around her all the time, despite her best attempts.
•Labels - After being called a monster repeatedly, and having nicknames galore in her previous occupation, Maya hates being labeled. It makes her feel less than a person.
•Herself - Nothing would have happened if Maya had listened to her superiors, and she constantly blames herself for what occurred that day. She walks with the reminders forever.
Motivations:
•Reversing what she did to herself - If there is a cure for what she did to herself, Maya will find it no matter what. Even if it eventually kills her.
•To obtain true understanding of the universe - A lifelong dream, Maya strives to fully know the secrets of the universe and all that come with them. It led to the accident, and continues to be something she wants to finally figure out the truth of.
•Atoning for her sins - Regret is something she cannot get rid of. Maya has tried, but nothing works. Thus she wants to make sure she has a cleaner conscious before she dies.

•Staying like how she is forever - Maya would hate to be stuck how she is, a freak of nature, with no way to reverse it. A hell worse than any torture.
•Being overcome with bloodlust - A side effect of the mutations, Maya will slowly lose her mind while in battle or around enough blood. If she loses her sense of self, Maya doesn't know what would happen.
•Being someone's tool forever - No one can truly control Maya, but they can try. And being under someone's thumb is not a career that Maya wants at all.
