King of Thieves(Daiki and Kihia)(Job)

Kihia walked up to the top of the dune and looked across the wide expanse of desert before him, this wasn’t the first time he walked across this expanse of desert, nor had he taken apon a job like this. He had been hired on with an old friend to find a group of bandits that had raided a convoy that was carrying an rare, large lacrima that was meant for industrial grade manufacturing. Kihia was able to withstand the heat of the desert even wearing his trench coat. How long ago was it… that I walked in these deserts with Naraca and Quincy… that day… was a turning point for me… Kihia closed his eyes to remember that day, the day he skated through the ruins of the city defending his Guildmates not the just for the job. Kihia opened his eyes and stared into the expanse once again, that mission had taken place months ago, and they managed to make it out of there by Naraca flying them out. “It will be different this time…” Kihia turned around looking for his companion, he was on this job with Daiki, a mage he had done a job with before, that one involved protecting a town from a group of bandits. “Where is he… I hope I didn’t lose him…”

Daiki tried to keep up with Kihia, the man whom she had worked with on a job prior, though a desert almost seemed to be her worst enemy. He couldn't get used to the footing on the sand. It had been quite a while since she had last done a job with Kihia, in which she would hope that she hadn't fallen too far behind the man, considering she was already a good amount behind the man when she initially met him back when the two were protecting a town. As she made his way across the sands, it would take him a short while to catch up to Kihia before panting and speaking. "I'm here..." She said, moving the clothes she was wearing slightly, and revealing a Kusarigama attached on his belt for quick access to it.

She would drop her overcoat on the sand, showing that he was wearing a red shirt underneath it, as well as dark blue jeans. The boots she wore could either be helping her in the sand, or hindering her, but she didn't know at all. As she stood there, sweating and panting from the heat of the desert, he would scan the area before waiting on Kihia to speak or to lead on as the heat was frying his brain.

Kihia quietly studied the gravity age that had walked up behind him, he was heavily perplexed on the new appearance of Daiki... and wasn't sure how to comment on it, however as he turned back around the smile vanished. “Are you going to be ok walking into the desert…?” Kihia then held out his right hand out and channeled a portion of his magical power into it, “Ice Make Eagle…” The icy eagle formed on top of his right arm which then opened its eyes and stared inquisitively at his owner, Go seek out ruins of an old City… report to me when you have found your Quarry… The ice eagle simply nodded and then took off, Kihia then turned to Daiki once again, “My friend will help us find our targets faster… it isn’t my first time dealing with this particular group of bandits…” Kihia waited for a moment then turned around and started walking down the sand dune, he had a lot on his mind, as well as getting information from his ice eagle that was flying slowly overhead, “We should be headed towards a ruins of an ancient city, last time I had this venture that’s where the bandits headquarters was located, however my friends and I didn’t do much to them…”

Daiki would nod slightly as she had heard Kihia asking if she was going to be alright while walking into a desert. "I'm going to be fine, I just needed to take off the overcoat." She said, stretching slightly and still panting. She hoped that he would do much better, due to having the heaviest layer he wore, now off. She would then see Kihia make an eagle out of ice, and listening to him tell him that the eagle would help them find their targets faster and that it wasn't his first time dealing with this particular group of bandits. She would nod once more, before hearing the man speak again. Kihia had dealt with this group of bandits before and that the last time he had dealt with them, they were using some ruins as their headquarters. Daiki would hope that they would be using the same place as their HQ, considering that it would make their job much easier.

"So, how have things been with you since our last job?" She asked, as she walked a few steps behind the man. She wondered, partially, as to what the man had been up to since he had last seen him.

Kihia thought back trying to recall all of what happened since he had gone on that job with Daiki, it had been what months?... He then stopped for a moment and spoke up, “A good number of things Daiki… too many to count… I guess the chief of things that happened is that I have been granted the title of the Ace of Courage of my Guild…” After Kihia said that he resumed walking, and he did so in silence as he resumed processing the information his ice eagle was sending him. After about ten minutes the eagle had spotted the ruins they had been looking for which caused Kihia to stop.

“Roughly thirty minutes time… east of our current positon… Activity… minimal, but signs show there have been recent activities…” Kihia closed his eyes, Get closer and see if you can confirm our suspiscions… He then opened his eyes and waited for the Eagle to receive and act upon its command, he received information as the Eagle swept down and onto a ledge trying to hide itself in the shadows. Kihia however recognized the portion of the ruins where the Eagle had landed, it was the same portion he had barreled through after he had cast ice make Knight… however the walls had been partially repaired and footprints could be seen in the sand. “Looks like they are still there Daiki…”

Daiki listened to Kihia as she had spoken about a great number of things had happened and that the greatest thing that had happened was that he had been granted the title of Ace of Courage of his guild. Daiki was a bit shocked to hear that Kihia had gone that far in the time she had been away and felt a bit off that the gap of power between the two of them was much greater than it was before. She would sigh before hearing Kihia start speaking to him once more, this time speaking about thirty minutes, east of their current position, minimal activity but signs of recent activity. As Kihia had spoke about how it looked like they were still there. She would nod in response and soon speak. "How do you want to handle this, since you've dealt with these thieves before." She had asked, waiting on Kihia's response before taking any action. She didn't know exactly how the thieves fought, and considering that Kihia had dealt with them before, he would have some idea on how they acted and seeing if a sneaky approach was better or if there was an approach that was better that he couldn't think of, aside from sneaky or all out, like back with the previous job the two had participated in.

Kihia heard Daiki’s question and thought back for a moment to when he had taken upon this job back with Naraca and Quincy. “We had approached the ruins seemingly unnoticed… however somehow they got behind us and tried to ambush us… almost as if they had men hiding under the sand…” Kihia halted two dunes distance away from the ruins and examined the sands between the two dunes. “Last time we took an outlook spot just at the ridge of a sand dune, that was just outside the perimeter of the ruins…”

Kihia examined the area trying to pick out if there was anything, that’s when he saw something faint about the ground, he barely noticed ten… no twenty buldges in the sand, this cause him to hold his hand up and point towards the ground. He then whispered… “There they are…” He reached behind himself and pulled out Icarus out from its sheath, he then ordered the ice eagle to fly back to him and land on one of the bumps. After a minute it did and with a second command looked down and poked its sharp beak into the sand before dissipating. Suddenly a well tanned man erupted from the sand sword drawn rubbing the back of his head. Kihia dropped down as the man looked back and forth in confusion, “You can have the first go Daiki…”

'Monster Dice' :

Kihia spoke, in which Daiki would continue to listen, in which she would nod slightly. Though as Kihia had soon said where they were and pointed, it would take a minute for him to notice before the eagle made of ice had landed on one. As it had pecked down onto the sand and disappeared before a man had emerged from the sand. She would blink for a moment before realizing that they were hiding underneath the sand. As she was told that he could have the first go, she sighed slightly as she drew her weapon as the man that had emerged from the sand had noticed him and alerted an ally of his.

Daiki would start moving forward as she had hold of his weapon and sighed while the second man had emerged from the sand looking quite similar to the first man, in which they would soon charge towards him with similar weapons and staying relatively close to each other. She would smirk as they ran closer and closer to her before casting Light Gods' Speed to increase her speed, in which would allow her to dodge the attacked much easier, should some be thrown out. She would quickly start spinning the weight on Kusarigama and soon tossed it to hit one of the men in the head, which it was obvious he had tried to dodge, but wasn't fast enough and had land on his back, in which Daiki would make sure she had enough chain to spin the sickle as if she was going to throw it as well, in which she would. As it flew towards the other man, he would dodge it and would smile as he thought he was out of the blue. Unluckily for him, Daiki would quickly pull back the sickle, which would hit the man in the back, causing him to lose his footing and hit the ground after having been surprised by the attack.

Kihia watched as Daiki engaged two men with ease, knocking them to the ground with ease. Kihia then heard one of them bark out and order, which caused the remaining eighteen men to erupt from the sands. “Daiki watch out!” Kihia sprang into action, he reached into his trench coat and pulled out the Geruks as he did this. He lept forward, covering a large amount of distance with the single jump as he sent his magical power to his weapons, “Ice Angel’s Holy Swords!” The two swords of pure white ice quickly formed on his weapons as he tackled into three of the bandits sending them flying. As he landed a large amount of sand into the air.

When this happened eight swordsmen rushed into the dust cloud thinking they had the upper hand with the intruder in the cloud, however… they were sadly mistaken. Kihia ducked down and dodged two swordsmen’s attempts to attack his mid-section, he then responded by spun around slashing his swords across the group of bandits legs. He then Spun again this time extending out a leg as he did knocking the bandits down while they tried to maintain the composure through the pain, “You all don’t seem to remember me…”

Active Spells: Ice Angel's Holy Swords, Two more posts

After she had knocked the two men to the ground with ease, the rest of the gang had apparently emerged from the sand. The rest of the gang for the two she had easily knocked down was another eighteen people. Though as they had emerged from the sand, Daiki had heard Kihia shout out a warning. She would move away from the crowd of men as fast as she could the moment before Kihia had reached for his weapon and leapt, covering a large distance in a single bound. As the man had spoke, he had hit three bandits, sending them flying. Though, as Kihia landed, a large amount of sand flew into the air, making it hard to see in the vicinity.

She was just able to see Kihia attack a few bandits that had decided to enter the cloud of sand. She would smirk as she would soon use Light God Flare, in which would cause several objects within forty feet of Daiki to start glowing a dark light. She would soon cast a spell through this in order to make sure that there weren't much more going on until both Kihia and her had left the dust cloud or until it had settled. After having cast Light God Flare, she would soon use Light God Solar Flare from the illumination closest to the rest of the people who had emerged from the sand, in order to blind them for a moment. "Now, if you want to go and help me with the rest of them or something, that'd be fine, but unless we're doing this like the last job, I'll be ready..." She said, waiting for Kihia's answer.

Kihia heard what Daiki said through the commotion and waited for a moment, he then spoke up “Get who you can… we can work as a team when opportunities arise…” Kihia then heard one of the bandits speak up, “heh, you think we will be that easy to take out you pathetic mage…” Kihia heard the bandit’s voice clear as day, however he spoke back in a quiet solemn voice, “You say that to the mage who skated through your base in armor of ice…” He heard the man gasp at the thought, “YOU, someone go alarm the base! Hurry!” Kihia frowned at this and swapped Geruko into his left hand and formed a small ball of energy in his right hand. He then waved his right hand towards the direction he heard that particular bandit speak and said, “Heaven’s Cryo Wave…” As he said this a massive burst of magic power released from the palm of his hand and enveloped all enemies in the blast, also blowing away the sand from the shockwave. He had managed to catch Seven bandits in the blast sending them sprawling across the dune. He then spun around and decked an incoming enemy in the chest who tried to come at him, knocking himdown and unconscious. “That’s about ten enemies down…”

Daiki listened to Kihia as he had spoke about getting whoever she could and only working as a team when the time came. Though soon a bandit had spoke which had been followed with Kihia speaking. The same bandit spoke once more, telling any of the remaining bandits at the time to alarm the base. Kihia had then used a technique which had both blown away the cloud of sand and had caught several bandits, which he would then hit an incoming bandit in the chest, knocking him out. "If you say so." She said, in response to the statement he spoke to her at first. She would soon start to spin the weight of the Kusarigama again. As she started, four bandits would decide to run towards her with the intent to take her down. It took her almost no time at all to think of a small plan to atleast take out two of the four bandits, and slow down the other two.

As the bandits moved closer and closer to her, she would swing the weight of the Kusarigama at the legs of one of the bandits, causing it to wrap around one of their legs. The moment that the weight had wrapped around the leg and had wrapped around the chain at the end so that it wouldn't come loose so easily, she would pull the chain as hard as she could, and start to spin the chain. This would cause the bandit whose leg was caught to start spinning around, gaining more and more momentum as the other three bandits had stopped as to not be hit by the bandit who was grabbed. Daiki also made sure there was enough space between Kihia and her, so that she wouldn't hit him with the bandit either. After a few moments of swinging the bandit, causing him to gain more and more momentum, which would mean trouble for whomever the bandit hit. After having spun the bandit for a few short moments, he had gained as much momentum as he would have, in which Daiki would move the chain in such a way to loosen the grip it had around the bandits leg at just the right moment, causing the bandit to fly into the three bandits that he had been running with, knocking all four of them out. "Well, we're getting there, Kihia." She said, panting ever so slightly.

Kihia looked up and saw the four remaining bandits slowly backing away from the two back towards the ruins trying to avoid the path of ice laid down on the sand from his blast. They then started to run towards the ruins, Kihia however quickly sprang into action landing on the ice and taking off with mind boggling speeds. He jumped up and landed on one of the bandit’s backs knocking him down. He then ran and shouldered the other one making him roll into the sands. Kihia then landed on the sand once again and watched as two of the bandits made it to the ruins.

Kihia frowned and dispelled his ice swords from his weapons and returned them into their sheathes, he then turned towards Daiki’s direction… “It seems they got away… which also means we are going to have a fight on our hands…” Kihia then turned back towards the ruins and recognized the house he had first entered into with Quincy and Naraca, “It may be best if we entered in through a different angle… as they may be sending more and more bandits at this point… however that deceision is entirely up to you Daiki…”

Daiki had watched Kihia as he had taken down two of the remaining four bandits before they had gotten away, in which the man would speak, suggesting that it may be best to enter in through a different way since more bandits would be sure to be coming, though he had said that it was entirely up to her. She would think for a moment about it before soon speaking up. "It'd be smart if we did go in through a different route, all things considered." She had said, before putting her Kusarigama away for the time being, in which she would then notice Kihia looking over at the ruins. She wouldn't say much before looking around for a spot that would be optimal for entering, thought she would speak as she scanned the ruins. "How exactly did you do this job before, Kihia?" She asked as she had spotted a hole in the ruins higher up, though they would have to climb up the wall to get to it. Getting the drop on the enemy was one of the better things, huh? Even if they knew they were there, though that part could be left out.

"How about up there?" She had asked, after Kihia had answered her last question, and pointed at the hole in the ruins that was a decent amount of feet above them.

Kihia’s right eyebrow twitched, recalling the events of the last time he had taken this particular mission, “Well to put things simply… One thing lead to another… which escalated things quickly… before we knew it we found ourselves in the midst of a large amount of enemies… all of us injured… and then we escaped with the Lacrima in tow….” If there was an award for trying to keep a story short, Kihia may have gotten close to getting it, but alas that’s one thing he never really thought about. Kihia then heard Daiki’s recommendation, and he in response looked up at it.

It was a decent sized hole… located on the 2nd floor of an old rundown building, he thought for a moment and then nodded, “That will do…” Kihia then dashed forward quickly pulling out Icarus and using it to pole vault up into the hole. He then knelt there for a moment listening intently, hearing nothing he quickly turned around and extended one end of Icarus down for Daiki to reach. “Here… we should have some time before they catch onto this place you found…” Whether or not Daiki accepted the outstretched weapon as a means to get up easier, Kihia would turn around when Daiki got up into the room and walk over to the window peaking around it trying to get a gauge of whats going on. He frowned when he remembered something, “The only issue I can think of now is… I don’t know where they would have the lacrima…”

Daiki listened to Kihia as he had spoken about his previous time on this job, which was things quickly escalating, everyone getting injured, and then escaping with the Lacrima in tow. She would then nod slightly as she had seen him dash forward to the hole that she had found, and vaulting up to it with his weapon, in which she would already be part way up the wall when he had done so. After a moment, he would soon lower his weapon to allow her to move up quicker, which she would smile slightly as she accepted the help. "Thank you." She said, as she stood near him, as Kihia had stated that he didn't know where they would have the lacrima. "It's either in a room, somewhere around here or they're hidden underground, all things considered." She said, crossing her arms for a moment before uncrossing them again. Though, before she had the time to speak again, she would hear slight muttering, which would lead to someone coming into view.

As the man had come into view, a five more had also come into view and they would start to run towards the two. "Well, here we go again..." Daiki said, with a slight sigh.

'Monster Dice' :

Kihia listened to what Daiki had to say about the possible location of the Lacrima, someone rounded the corner of the street below. The individual had the normal robes and turban of the other cartel members, however there was one notable difference in this mans appearance. He was adorned in various jewelry, and head six golden inlaid scimitar sheathes on his back, and two more on his waste. Behind him came five cartel members who did not wield swords, but bo staffs, adorned with black and white feathers on top of them. “He must be the king of thieves…”

Kihia then channeled his magical power to his head area and then quietly said, “Ice Angel’s Visor…” An ice Visor formed on his head, he then discreetly looked around the corner and let the measurements start appearing on it for him. He watched as they passed underneath the building, Kihia then looked across the street and saw a roof within jumping distance. “I will jump over to that side… and we can flank them from both sides… surely one of them will know the location of the Lacrima…” If Daiki was for the plan Kihia would quietly leap to the buildings on the other side, if she wasn’t fine with the idea he would wait and follow her lead.

Daiki watched as the group of people walked, and had listened to Kihia as he spoke about the man adorned in jewelery and golden sheaths had to have been the King of Thieves. She would nod as she kept an eye on the group of men that were passing by and Kihia as well, at least until he spoke about him jumping over to another area so they could flank them, and that one of them should know the location of the Lacrima. She would nod slightly before speaking. "Alright, flanking them will be the best course of action, since being able to surprise an enemy is quite an advantage." She said, just loud enough for the man who was on the job with her could hear.

"I'll go down and get their attention as you ge prepared to flank them, just make sure you don't take too long as I don't know what they can do, so I'm at a slight disadvantage here." She said as she made her way so that she could intercept the group and make sure that Kihia could flank them. She would quickly make her way to the front of the group of the King of the thieves and the ones who were with him. Though before they could really say anything, she would quickly cast Light Gods' Solar Flare so that she could at least cause them to lose their sight for a few moments. Hopefully Kihia would take the opening as she drew her Kusarigama.

Kihia ran across the rooftops, keeping a low profile the best he could, utilizing specific movements to prevent his armored clothing from making too much noise. He then arrived on a mostly intact rooftop, that rose above the other buildings. He slowed down to a walk and waited for a moment, before he got to the edge that was over the road the bandits were on he saw a bright flash of light which caused him to nod, Kihia then quickly sheathed Icarus and jumped high into the air, positioning himself above the band of bandits. He start to breath in a long deep breath preparing for a signature spell of all users of the same base magic he now used.

“Call of the…” As he said those worlds he bent his upper body forward towards the group that was scrambling to figure how what just happened to them, “Frozen Angel!” A typhoon of snow and ice erupted from his mouth and flew straight down and crashed into the group, the typhoon halting at the ground as snow and ice was whipped about and laid around the area. After a moment the spell finally ended as Kihia fell to the ground landing in a low stance as he watched the bandits struggle to come to terms of what had just hit them. “Now which one of you wants to say where that Lacrima is…”

As Daiki had used her spell to blind the six men standing in front of her, and once she had seen the spell the Kihia was starting to use, she would move back a few feet, just to be safe. Though as the spell had hit and all, as well as Kihia having landed in a low stance, he would soon speak. As she heard him ask the group which of them wanted to say where the lacrima were. Not too long after, the King of the Thieves had shook his head, trying to make sure he wasn't still seeing a bright light as he soon spoke. "We'll never tell you where they are!" He said, as he rubbed his eyes with one hand and drew a simitar with the other. The others that had followed him had also been rubbing their eyes.

She knew that the spell's effect on their eyes wouldn't last much longer, if not having just already ended. She would quickly start to inhale quite a bit, and once she had finished inhaling. "Light God's Shout!" She said, as she had exhaled a massive black beam of light, roughly five feet in diameter. As it travelled, the King had attempted to slash at it, though using just hit ears, he was a bit too early, which had allowed it to hit him dead on, knocking him back slightly.

After she had used her spell, she would then spin the weight of her Kusarigama and would swing it in an attempt to wrap it around the ankle of the boss so she could keep him from doing much, though she wouldn't be able to do it for too long. It would keep the five others away, who had recovered their eye sight, as they would get hit by their boss who was being swung around by Daiki.

Kihia frowned at the bandit’s response and watched as he was suddenly blasted away by a beam of Black light, knowing that it had to be from Daiki Kihia readied himself to charge and take out the five lackeys of the king of Thieves. Kihia sprang forward, running straight into the middle of the blinded troop of bandits. He stopped in the middle of the group sliding somewhat on the layer of snow that covered the sandy ground, he pulled Icarus of his back and channeled a portion of his magical power into it focusing on one end, “Crystal Make Chain!” A crystal chain started to form one end of Icarus and formed to a length of two feet, and formed a crystal brace on his right wrist.

Kihia then twisted his body a bit and then spun in place letting go of Icarus and letting it fly outward stopping when the length of the chain reached it’s max length, it slammed across each of the bandits legs, knocking their legs out from underneath them. Kihia then stopped his spin by widening his stance, as Icarus swung in the air and drew closer to Kihia once again he caught the weapon, he then swung his arm forward releasing his hold. Icarus swung back out hitting four of the five underlings. He then pulled his arm back bringing Icarus back to his hand he then turned to the remaining Staff wield thieve and thrusted Icarus forward, letting it go from his hand and watching it impact full force into the thief’s chest. Kihia then quickly pulled Icarus back and grabbed onto it with both hands as the thief fell unconscious.

As Daiki continued to swing around they king of the thieves with her Kusarigama. The weight stayed wrapped around his ankle, and she had made sure that it had wrapped around the chain a few times after having wrapped around his leg, so that it wouldn't come loose easily. Daiki had soon heard Kihia state the name of a spell as he started to go after the five men, quickly knocking them out as he pulled off some fancy tricks with his own staff. As she watched Kihia take out the five men, the king of the thieves had soon spoken. "I'm getting tired of this damn ride!" He had said, as he had drawn another sword, and hitting the chain with it, to disrupt the swinging, though as he had done so, the chain had become loose. Due to the chain coming loose, the thief king had gotten thrown into a nearby wall, maging a decent crater in it.

Daiki would recoil slightly due to the Kusarigama having lost the man and having no counter-weight to keep her balanced well enough. As she regained her footing she would quickly send the weight back towards the man, in an attempt to hit him once again, though after the blinding effect had ended when he was being swung, he had easily slashed at the chain with the sword in his hand, just standing up again. "You think it getting a free hit when I'm getting up would be that easy?" He had asked, though as he had done so, the chain had wrapped around his weapon, which she would pull away. The man seemed shocked for a moment, in which Daiki would cause the sword to fall into the sand. The man would stand up, taking a few steps towards her before she started swinging it to give it momentum. As it had gotten just enough momentum, she swung it so that the chain would wrap around the man's torso, making it so that he couldn't use his arms to get any of the other swords on his back. Though, as she had done so, the man would smirk slightly as the sword that was in the sand had soon started to float in the air and would start slashing towards her.

Daiki would use the sickle of the Kusarigama to defend. "You're up, Kihia!" She said, as the sword had moved and she couldn't properly block it.

Kihia turned his attention to Daiki when she called out that he was up to the plate, he saw a sword was being thrown straight at Daiki. Kihia spun around and thrusted Icarus straight at the sword, impacting it a few feet from Daiki moving it off to the side just in time. Kihia then retracted Icarus back and caught it back again, he adopted a low stance. He then started to channel some of his magical power to Icarus, “Ice Make Glaive!” an ice glaive blade formed on the end of Icarus opposite from the crystal chain. Kihia then dashed in between Daiki and the King of thieves avoiding the chain of Daikis own weapon the was binding their opponent. He then watched as the King of thieves swords slipped out of the binding and levitated midair and then flew towards Kihia and Daiki.

Kihia stood his ground carefully deflecting any sword away from Himself and Daiki, however the onslaught continued when the swords simply stopped mid air and flew right back at him. He barely managed to dodge a few in time. Kihia then ducked down and let go of Icarus with his left hand, he formed a small particle of magical power and did a small throwing motion towards the King of thieves, “Heavens Cryo wave…” a bright flash of light erupted his hand enveloping the bandit entirely.
