Blossoming friendship. (Kyojitsu)

It was official, Mei had the worst luck, and ability to read, in picking these jobs. Her ignorance of everything was really starting to get to her, and hinder her ability to keep snacking. The entire mission was just getting a simple flower, sadly that's all that Mei had read till she had to figure out where she was going. She really should get into a better habit of appearing visible to others, since at this point if she didn't start doing that she was going to keep getting all the bad jobs. She just wanted to smell some nice flowers, and maybe figure out how to safely cook them, but nope she had to travel into a spooky forest to try to get one back. This was pretty dumb, actually rephrase that, she was pretty dumb for not reading the fine print. Maybe it's because they had become laced with bread crumbs at the time...

As she wandered through the spooky forest, Mei heard all the sounds, smelled all the smells, and enjoyed the fact that her favorite shoes were probably now ruined. Even though she had been hidden away with a cloud of natural produced Miasma, she still had strange worries. She feared some eerie tall man would try to get her here, it was dark enough, almost like night-time, but then she remembered that she was simply getting flowers and not pictures. clearing the metaphorical sweat from her brow, she continued to meander, secretly hoping that someone, almost anyone would come by to help out. While she didn't want to admit it to anyone, she wasn't one for being alone, especially in a creepy forest that looked locked within a perpetual night.

"Feel..."
With a slow and deliberate motion hands raised up towards trees bark. Brushing a slow touch against it, each notch hand a ingrained feeling of purpose. Its rough exterior a pleasant series of sensations as it ran from one side to the other. Moving hand fully past the tree, he followed with a sharp and sudden inhalation. Chest expanding out with the welcomed aromas of spring grasses mixed with a hint of must.
"How wonderful it is... to be alive."

He stood there, not moving for a moment. As he often did, Kyojitsu took this moment in a land unfamiliar to absorb the wonderful sensations that came with experiencing new things. His fondness for forests and plains was also not lost here. He had taken off his boots and rolled up the legs of his pants, feeling the pleasant wetness beneath his exposed toes. Cold, sharp, but at the same time warm and inviting as his feet sunk in a bit to the slightly warm earth below. He opened his eyes and let out a slow and steady yawn, stretching his arms up high above his head and feeling the muscles become a tid bit more loose, before letting them fall back to his sides. Looking up, trees loomed over head, but glints and streams of light streamed through creating little patches of respite from the darkness that was this spooky forest. He stood in one such spot at this moment, enjoying all that it had to offer to him.

"I probably should get moving shouldn't I?"
He pondered this out loud to himself, a small grin on his face. There was really no rush to the whole ordeal. He had chosen this mission specifically because the idea of being allowed to be out in this wondrous little pocket of untouched nature. Big cites we're nice, but nothing beat the feel of a genuine natural landscape. He looked around, and pondered perhaps where he would head next. It seemed unlikely he would find what he was looking for merely wandering aimlessly across this forest, but then again... he enjoyed that thought. He slung his boots over his back, tucking them into a slight pack that rested in his shoulder, before setting off once more.

You could suppose the nervous nature of the Mei caused her to seem paranoid. Wandering randomly throughout the forest had thus far only resulted in her getting tired, and hungry. Missing your fourth snack time will do that, but she didn't wish to stop and chow down, she wished to get out of here, after all who in the heck would enjoy a spooky place like this, especially when you are all alone. Seriously she thought she could hear wolves in the distance or something, possibly foxy ones. Mei didn't wish to become startled by a jump scare wolf fox that came from the side of the forest, or here anymore for that matter.

It was then that wandering through the forest, Mei's paranoia reached an all time high, as she spotted a man wandering through, though at first all she saw was a silhouette of him, well she fully saw him but her mind was playing tricks on her, which caused her to freak out and hop behind a tree, barely able to poke her invisible head out to look at him proper. He seemed like... a nature nut. How did she know? He didn't have shoes on and was wandering aimlessly.

She would normally silently judge, but she didn't know where she was going either, so it was all whatever. Still she couldn't help but feel that this guy was here for something more than just nature watching or roaming, since it is a creepy forest. Oh she hoped he didn't live here and kidnap children or something, maybe she was being too paranoid, she had been out here too long alone. That's what she got for being shy.

For now she would just follow the boy, it was better than just wandering alone while listening to the creepy howls of wolves after all. Frankly anything was better than that, except for healthy snack time, seriously who eats apples for snacks, people concerned for health!? You fools, it matters not for your doomed anyway!

With one step at a time Kyojitsu continued to move forward. No destination really thought out, and no real sense of where to go, he just moved from one patch of light to the next, and hoped for the best. An occasional noise would be heard in the distance, a brushing of foliage, a chirping of a bird. Twas nothing to fret over he figured, and instead enjoyed the sounds of life around him. He wondered idly if it was somewhere out of the main flow of the hustle bustle of the city that he would one day build that Inn he thought over often,
"That would be a tad impractical though... I mean how would business be."

He sighed, still searching for a perfect spot to plot a nice little home away from home for others. He looked in the distance and noted a particularly bright spot in the next little light opening.
"Mayhap those are the flowers I seek?"
The light refracted off a small pile of white in the distance. He wasn't one hundred percent that was the flower he was looking for, but then again it was a sight to behold regardless, and merited perhaps a bit of a closer inspection. Sitting down on a nearby stump he dried his feet, and slipped back on socks and then boots, giving them a soft tap down making sure his feet were comfortably snug in the dyed leather boots. Walking forward he moved slowly, taking a moment to be aware of his surroundings before moving in toooooo close.

This guy might have been worse to follow then Mei's own compass, or so she thought. Originally he was just some aloof person mumbling to himself about random things, but then he seemed to home in on an intent patch within the forest. While Mei was debating just wandering off on her own, she decided to entertain him one last time, and follow him towards the light, and no that isn't a metaphor.

This time however Mei became blown away, the patch seemed beautiful, but at the same time out-of-place. It might have been what she was looking for, and wait he was looking for this as well? So that meant that he was on the same mission? Could he be from the same guild or was he from another one, or possibly a dark guild mage? She couldn't fully tell and was frankly a little too shy about asking him. While she was really curious about him, she couldn't just go up and ask him about his life story or something, the thought alone made her blush, the same way she almost did when she entered the guild hall for Lamia.

Maybe she should though, I mean it's not like a monster was going to appear out of the forest or anything, right as her and the boy had found what was potentially the flower in the mission description... right?

Reaching to his side, Kyojitsu ran his hand slowly across a hilt that sat at his waist. Wrapping his hand around the hilt he pulled up slowly, holding the blade in his left hand. Reaching his right hand inside his cloak grasping tightly onto something. He proceeded closer to the plants and as he drew near he felt his hairs begin to stand on, they said that all man had a sense, a sort of ability to tell when someone was watching them. He had essentially not felt this his entire exploration of the woods... so why was it so strong right now. He closed his eyes moving slowly closer to the plant. He heard the soft steps of his own feet on the wet grass. A sort of sopping squish that one would expect when stepping into wet dirt...

But.... what is...

He spun suddenly, his right hand flicking out from underneath his coat, and a small dagger flying loose from beneath his clothes. It flew true, and in a bee line towards a noise he had just caught wind of. He peered into the trees that he attacked, and watched for a movement from anything that may be lurking in the midst of the area. He knew he was not going to hit anything, but his sudden motion might start whatever was hiding...

'Monster Dice' :

This kid was well paranoid. How dare he that was her stick. Oh well it was very proper, since apparently there actually was danger in the area. Mei had been too busy paying attention to both the flower and this boy to actually notice them, good thing she had hidden herself. Still they didn't seem like that big of a threat... no Mei had made that mistake before, she wouldn't underestimate these creatures, or any other like them. Each one of them was a nasty little green thing, well little was subjective, they actually looked quite taller than she expected. They weren't really armed with anything other than fists, and seemed far too intent on the boy and the flower, maybe they needed some too? Well mei wouldn't be one to simply deny a being something, but she didn't feel right about this.

Moving to get around them using the tree's as an ambush point, Mei would prepare to flick out some blades at them should they make a move. She didn't even this boy, but she wouldn't let someone get hurt by anything. What could she say, she was being pretty stupid, but at the same time that didn't matter much, it seemed like the right thing to do, so she would do it. Foolish, but at least she wasn't just charging in. Still if she attacked she would probably have to talk to the boy afterwards, which was the really scary thing about this whole situation. What would she say, especially if he turned out to have the heart of a bad guy in the end? Oh well sometimes you just have to take a risk.

"So that's your game..."
Kyo locked eyes as his pursuers finally made themselves visible. He touched at a few knives beneath his cloak taking a defensive step back, his boots softly sinking a bit into the freshly dew'd grass. He felt his eyes flick back and forth analytically. They were encroaching on hims slowly, and he wondered what their goal was. Looking at their armaments they had several javelins, so they could attack at any time... but they were not. Was this a trick of some sort? He took another defensive step back, and he honestly felt his heart beat a bit too briskly... he was worried about slipping his control even to something like this. He winced for a moment as he took another step back, and then it occured to him...

I'm being backed into a trap!

It was at this moment he felt the ground shift under his feet, and he quickly pulled forward, noting that the rope was under his foot, and had almost slipped a knot around his foot, but he had barely dodged its pull up. He reached back grabbing at the rope and using it instead to his advantage, its snapping up motion pulling him skywards, he felt himself get flicked at the end of the yank, and used this motion to spin and toss two knives. They fkew at the skulls of two of his opponents, and he watched as they sunk in slowly. Breaking through bone, and then sloppy squishing into the brain matter. They shot out the back of the skulls, sinking red blades into the ground and a nearby tree.
"What is this shit? Amateur hour!?"
The last goblins shrieked in rage, and gave his javelin a huck at the still airborne Kyo, he winced trying to position himself to deflect! He raised his boot up, making a kicking motion at it,
It's gonna be close!

'Block Dice' :

Thing's had quickly turned from creepy to violent. They were after something, or possibly protecting something. Mei didn't have the right to really judge them though since she knew nothing about these creatures except that they seemed feral. Perhaps they were just protecting something, yeah that was it! Well that kind of idealistic thinking left Mei surprised when they began to try to trap and hurt the boy. She would normally pass it off as being protective, but this was sinister, they had purposefully led him back that direction towards the trap. While a trap could be for defense, this one didn't seem like it. Perhaps they were hungry? Mei could understand that, but not eating a person. That just didn't appeal at all, which led to possibly the reason she would interfere. They were being heretical against her belief's of what food was, and that meant justice shall be... served.

As the boy deal with two of them with a swift throwing knife, Mei realized she didn't have any weapons, aside from her wit and 10000 years of human evolution... also known as her fists. Since the thing didn't even know she was here, it was all too easy. Flipping the creäture around after it had thrown its weapon, Mei cursed herself for not being able to stop it, hopefully the thing could be rusted out or something and wouldn't penetrate anything... otherwise she would bring back a bloody flower instead of a peaceful one.

The creatures face was greatly confused as Mei proceeded to lift them up, and punched it in the face, several times. She could have used some magic or something, but being frank, if she could already lift it up, then it wouldn't really be worth her time to use magic. She would need to save any power she could for later. As the creatures face became bloodied and it's eyes closed, she dropped them to the ground. She wasn't in the business of killing creatures like that, after all it could have still just been protecting, and no matter how heretical it was towards her concept of food killing something over that wasn't okay. It was just doing what it was born to do after all right?

She was such a stupid idealist.

Turning down her 'invisibility' she looked at the boy, and noticed he hadn't really taken any damage. That was good she didn't want tot have to bring back a body with her. Wait she just turned off her invisibility why? Oh right to re assure the kid it wasn't a ghost or something? Oh crap now she was completely exposed to this guy, and by exposed I mean you could see her normally, she wasn't naked or anything even if it felt like it to her.

"Uh... oh uh... you okay?"

Damn it Mei learn how to talk!

Just a bit more...
He felt his body twisting in the air, his foot being brought up towards the long wooden shaft of the spear, and with a pleasing sensation he felt his foot tap against the spear shaft just below the head of the weapon. Pressing into it, his foot readjusted the aim and kicked it off course so that it stuck simply into a nearby tree vs his... well body. He landed with a thud, the soft grass cushioning his landing, and it appeared he managed to make himself the fool and had not landed prone or on his face. His knee stung a bit from the landing, but using his hands for support he managed to lift himself back to his feet. He noted with a start that it appeared that the last goblin, Mr. McSpearHucker was now floating as his face appeared to spasm with pain as it was beaten in with some strange unseen force. Kyo looked at his hands for a moment, then quickly shoved away the idea that he had somehow used magic without even noticing. He was rather certain he could do nothing like that anyway...

Watching the girl wink into existence was not something he had expected, and with a hesitant eye raise he stared at her for a moment. He straightened a bit and brushed his shoulder off, where a stray piece of grass or leaf had decided to make its nest egg. Talking about grass babies or some shit and that wasn't going to fly whatsoever. He met her eyes again, and nodded slowly,
"Yes I am well. Thank you for your assistance in dealing with those creatures."
His eyes flicked towards the flowers, and he considered whether or not he should loom here for long, as he had no idea whether or not more would show up. His eyes came back to rest on the girl, he smiled a gentle smile as he held his hand out slowly being considerate to not seem dangerous,
"Kyojitsu Ametsuchi, of the Lamia Scale. A pleasure to meet you."

Well he didn't try to kill her, and if he was telling the truth then he was actually in the same guild as Mei. Oh boy, that meant that she would probably end up seeing him later in the guild hall, or be on a team with him maybe... that made her feel pretty nervous, would have been one thing if he was just a regular Joe, but being apart of the same guild she was in, meant communicating more often. Then again the guild was all about getting to know others so maybe it wasn't that bad of a thing?

As Mei, struggled to try to say something she too looked over towards the flower patch. She should probably go and gather it to make the job complete. Sadly Mei's motivations were now fleeing away from her at the speed of light, since she couldn't even deal with the boy in front of her. Frankly she had a really bad habit now, but what could you do? Her mouth just refused to say any words. Still she would have to try.

"Oh... Lamia scale I heard that's a fun guild... I mean I don't know much about..."

She might have had a fever now, she should have never undone her invisibility. This was too difficult.

"I mean, my name is Mei, uh of well... of Lamia Scale... I just joined, I'm not that strong or known so I mean... well I guess... are you here for a flower?"

She couldn't actually talk about the guild, and possibly all that buddy, buddy stuff, so she just focused on the job. Hopefully she was a smooth as butter, but she was probably as rough as a rock falling down a canyon.

Curiously Kyojitsu looked over the girl, an eyebrow raising against his will slightly. He cough turning away towards the flower and looking it over again,
This girl is either the worst actor ever, and is lying to me... or she entirely, absolutely socially awkward.
Raising his hand to the back of his head he scratched at an itch from the eye patch's cord, a nervous tick, he walked slowly towards the flowers and crouched down pulling a knife from his cloak, and gently pruned at the steam in a way that hopefully the flowers would regrow here again even after his disturbance. Taking a bit of cloth from his pack he wrapped some of the flowers gently and then tieing the bundle shut with a piece of cord. He stood up and walked towards Mei offering a bundle of flowers.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Mei of Lamia Scale. It seems we are kindred of the same guild, as such I offer you a token of my appreciation. I have a feeling that since you are out here, your goal must be similar to mine, and there is an abundance."

He looked toward the way they had came, and saw the little bubbles of light that had guided him here still glowed giving him a direction to head out. He looked towards Mei once more,
"It seems safer if we were to leave as group. These forests appear to have residents lurking about."

Kyo went over to grab a flower for the mission, or at least he was just playing off her statement all cool like. Perhaps should have to go and take speech lessons or something to learn how to just talk with people. She was fine on a job or something since then she needed to chat with them, but just randomly she was terrible. Maybe all that she went through still caused her to feel some fear around people, or she was just doomed to forever be awkward. In either case she would have to gather a flower for when anything else happened.

"Yeah, um well... it's okay I think it'll be fine there didn't seem like there was anything else about... I'll just head back to the guild uh well..."

Walking over to pluck a flower, she did so in a gentle way. She didn't want to rip too much or too little off, and wanted to make sure it was in good condition. If only she had actually brought a knife with her or something.

Placing the flower within a pouch she brought along for just this purpose, Mei turned and took a bow towards Kyojitsu.

"Well... I'll head back and report my end of the job... you seemed to enjoy wandering a bit so... I'll leave you to that and such... yeah... uh nice to meet you..."

She started to get a bit red, she almost couldn't breathe, it was pretty bad. If he was actually apart of her guild that meant she would have to get over it, especially if they ended up on another assignment together at some point in the future. Hopefully that wouldn't be the case so soon, but you never knew especially with Mei's luck, what would happen.

Turning invisible after she spoke her last word she made her way towards the edge of the forest at a brisk pace. She wasn't about to turn around and have to deal with more conversations with someone now, her poor little heart couldn't take it.

"And just like that, poof."
Kyojitsu made a slight flaring hand motion, expressing her sudden vanishing. He then considered that the girl could be watching. With a twinge of regret he bit his lip then let out a steady breath flipping the parcel he had offered the girl in his hand. More for him he supposed with a shrug. Pulling his pack tightly onto his back he glanced out towards the path he walked in on, and began to ponder if just for a second.

"You know... I did particularly enjoy the walk out here. Nothing says I have to rush the walk back..."

He lightly tapped his foot several times on the ground before he listlessly began to float upward. Gravity was factually just the great Mages exertion over all mankind. He liked to call this being... Arc. He hadn't thought of Arc in so long... Where was he? Oh yes... Gravity was another magic spell, and he thought it interesting that he had found a way to manipulate this force. He harnessed energy from not even himself for this, but from Arc. He let himself begin to drift deciding that he would merely float light spot to light spot. He yawned... he probably should use his magic so casually, but whats the point of being a mage if not enjoying some of the leisure's of it...
