    Star Clash! Harrigan v. Yugi

    Post by Yugi-Sempai 16th April 2015, 12:04 pm

Yugi heard footsteps behind him---finally. He'd been sensing a Magic Power that was off the charts in scale for some time now...a twisted sort of Magic Power. With his hands in his pockets, the young Fire wizard turned slightly; keeping his hands in his pockets. He faced a...rather dignified gentleman...he was dressed...rather exemplary if Yugi did say so himself.

With respect for the mans clothes, which Yugi would likely try to burn soon; Yugi's hazel eyes met the man.

'This is the Guild Master of Savage Skull then.......Lichborne and Lord Frederik's heir.' a closeup of Yugi's eye was shown, as his face looked somewhat emotionless for awhile as the camera zoomed out. Then, he broke into his usual passionate self.

"................I half expected some gigantic Demon overlord or something of that nature. Your predecessors were a bit more haunting, scared the shit out of people from the moment their names were mentioned." Yugi pulled both hands out of his pockets and crossed his arms.

"I assume you got my memo......I'd like to test the Might of the 3rd Guild Master of Savage Skull. My name is Yugi Sparrow." he balled up a fist and raised it slightly. "Whether you know of me or not...is of no consequence, I know who you are Harrigan. My brother...is Count Lucien Sparrow. I find it amazing that you're able to stand across from me now.....so without further adeu." Yugi bowed, introducing himself.

He gave Harrigan but a few moments to respond, and collect or introduce himself to the young man who'd unleashed the Black Dragon on the planet once more. After awhile, Yugi would unbutton the top of his shirt, and take slight stance.

"Well...here I come then Guild Master Harrigan, forgive me if it gets too hot for you."

Bending his knees and launching himself forward at S-Ranked speeds, Yugi would step on the ground only once before he reached Harrigan 50ft or so from him, with a single clap of his hands Yugi set off Fire-Make: 1,000 Blades~

While flying towards Harrigan at an impossibly fast sprint a huge storm of pure fire would whip around Yugi, blurring the environment in a flash as the flames whipped into the shape of a belt of gigantic curved blades, that seemed to orbit around Harrigan's position like the rings of Saturn.

Yugi would stomp just before reaching Harrigan and throw himself over him in the air, with a twist he would snap his finger once as the blades made entirely of fire stopped orbiting Harrigan, and locked towards him threatningly--and began diving down onto Harrigans position at the speed of a machine gun.

If Harrigan ran, the blades would keep respawning as thousands of flaming blades seemed to materialize and pour down out of nowhere; causing the ground to shake in the explosions from the blades just spawning and beating down in the area.

After thirty seconds, the blades would stop materializing out of fire from nowhere, as Yugi came running directly at Harrigan through the leftover smoke and rubble, skipping forward with S-Ranked speeds at a blur with one step and delivering a leaping right cross UFC style, attempting to knock him to the side or to the ground.

Pieces of the Mysterious Canyons ground began to smolder and crack from the heat, as rubble was knocked every which way.

The smoke cleared fully from 1,000 blades as Yugi would look around and clap once more. Fire-Make: Hand~

As Yugi made a motion with his hand like he was reaching out to Harrigan as he saw him again; an extremely loud roar of flames would resound off to Harrigan's left as a gigantic hand of flames the size of a car fell from the sky and tried grab the Savage Skull Guild Master by his clothes.

Yugi would raise his hand once, and drop it harshly causing the hand to spiral up holding Harrigan and then slam him harshly into the ground as the giant hand of fire would disperse.

The moment Yuri noticed the footsteps echoing through the mysterious canyon, the camera would move away from the young fire mage. And slowly pan in towards the very man he had called out to one of the most remote places in Fiore. Who with his red velvet suit flustering from the wind and dust that twirled around him, gave off a rather intimidating appearance. Mostly because he wasn't taking any caution, he just walked up to the mage, with his back straightened. And a tremendous conceited smirk on his face.

A smirk that lasted even, when his opponents eyes met with his own.

That gaze that locked both men, for what felt like an entirety. Was more then enough for Harrigan to realize that the stories about this man, this Yuri. Were true. That this was the very man that forced the council on its knees, the mage that actually called forth the black dragon and laid waste to the capital.

'Well then Mister Sparrow' replied Harrigan, while he slowly took off the white silk gloves that covered his hands. 'I am more then happy to oblige, however I can't promise the outcome will be as entertaining as the moment you thought of inviting me'

Arrogant as he was, Harrigan didn't even bothered to properly introduce himself. Not that it was really a necessity since Yuri already had enough information on him, to do the introduction for the man himself. The latter part of their brief conversation was nothing more then Yuri practically announcing his attack, as if the battle was nothing out of the ordinary, at all.

Then the moment was there, by slightly bending his knees Yuri Sparrow dashed forwards, leaving nothing but dust to slowly settle on the ground. However what appeared to nothing more then a simple frontal assault, quickly turned dire. Somewhere in the middle of the distance between the two mages, Yuri managed to land with one foot on the ground. Only so that he could create the extra force to propel himself in to the air.

It was a move that was actually barely visible to the mundane eye, especially since the fire mage had conjured several flames forming blades along his side. That just from the heat itself, started to distort the very image of their surroundings.

Until this moment Harrigan still hadn't moved an inch, nor had he taken on a defensive position. And the moment the fiery blades impacted on him would reveal why.

The moment the smoke started to lift and Yuri would punch down into Harrigan with a right cross move, it showed that the very thing Harrigan used to defend himself. Was an armored small time fortress, consisting with various sized cannons sticking out of it. Strong enough to withstand most of the attacks, but not that strong that it wouldn't withhold any damage. Especially when Yuri came at him with such an ferocious speed, that his punch equaled that of a giant.

The suit started to crumble and fall apart, and broke entirely. When a flaming fist raged into him, and took hold of him. Only to raise him along with his iron layered protection, high in the sky and pummel him into the ground with such force. That the canyon resonated with it.
And for a moment, when Harrigan laid there in the rubble of his suit, hidden in the momentarily dust from the impact. He realized that even though he knew who this man was, he was still underestimating him... greatly!

Feeling the sweat of actually fear and excitement dripping down his neck, since a long time. He knew that he couldn't hold back anymore, that eh couldn't stand there conceited anymore. To long had he been sitting behind his desk, ruling like a bureaucrat. But not anymore.

Now with realizing and actual determination, before the dust even had the a change to settle. Harrigan dashed forwards, with such speed that the dust actually flew backwards in opposite direction. Only to strike at his opponent with a punch to his stomach. Which even when blocked would be met with a rather viper of an attack. The moment Harrigan struck at Yuri, he would target the man's own magical source inside of him. And would compress to such a state that it actually imploded three times inside his own body. Thus sending a crippling painful sensation through his very nerve system, right before Harrigan went down to his knees and jumped away from the scene. Creating a gap of around 50 meters between them.

At the same time while Harrigan attacked, a tremendous deafening noise was to be heard. As if everything around them was falling apart. Which was true in a certain sense, raising from the ground and splitting the entire canyon apart was a behemoth sized iron contraption. That while raising out of the earth was already aiming its large amount of artillery barrels at Yuri. Only so that it could fire five rapid shots, at his position.

Yugi watched as his thousand blades of flame rained down upon Harrigan's location, but the Guild Master didn't even bother to dodge.....Yugi realized why as he came sprinting forward leaping once in for a haymaker.

He was wearing some kind of...armor, with cannons sticking up out of it. He was about eight feet tall in the armor...but it looked like it was already falling apart.

Yugi's leaping right cross sent Harrigan's sliding back, as Yugi clapped his hands shortly after; his Fire-Make: Hand~ spell scooped Harrigan up and swirled him down into the ground violently. Shattering the armor apart.  Yugi was about to gloat, until Harrigan looked up at him with a really...scary look in his eyes.

Flashing ahead with the speed of a mage of his calibur, Harrigan delivered a crushing blow to Yugi's stomach. Yugi was sent sliding backward on the ground, rolling clutching his stomach. As with momentum as he sailed back, he would glow with a white light for only a split moment before a Magical Explosion as if from nowhere sent him sailing upward off the ground and then back too it, near the edge of a cliff.

Gasping and sitting up, throwing himself to his feet in anger. Yugi felt like his bones had just ran fifteen miles, and felt a bit of his Magic Power slip away.

'.......That was. I've only read about that Magic.....it's super rare is it possible?' Yugi had only heard of Rapture Magic, and never even seen it used. He memorized it's effects briefly with the perfect memory of a Make wizard and was still a bit concerned even now. 'Did he turn my Magic Power into some kind of bomb just now???'

As he thought this, the entire ground and environment began to crack around him as epicly, the camera would spin to Harrigan at the epicenter of the gigantic maze of cannons appearing. Yugi would furiously growl as he rocketed forward, determined not to lose sight of Harrigan in the maze.

Kicking off of pieces of rubble as they landed from the gigantic fortresses summoning, Yugi sailed upward into the fortress proper and stepped on top of the tips of each cannon as he moved forward toward where he thought he saw Harrigan last, the vast fortress of magical metal made sensing him nearly impossible.

Just then, Yugi heard a loud WHIIIRRRRRRRRRR' as the camera showed his eyes fleck to the right as five gigantic cannons pointed directly at him.

With a clap going off in slow-mo, a six foot Katana made of pure fire roared into Yugi's right hand just as he went flipping forward off of a cannon he'd been running on, a huge explosion going off behind him.

    Fire-Make: Masamune~

The next four shots echoed out into the Mysterious Canyon as the large cannons firing recoiled spectacularly kicking up smoke. The camera would spin back toward Yugi who'd never stopped moving this entire time.

Four flashing slashes of flame would erupt from him as he swung the Fire-Made katana light as a feather at the gigantic shells of magic exploding around him. From the side it looked as if Yugi was samurai blazing through the shots as the fourth and final shot was too low and exploded beneath Yugi; sending him flying into the air.

He tried to stop himself, but ended up landing harshly on a Fortress wall, managing to grab onto the top of the wall, Yugi would pull himself up over it comically---spotting Harrigan down below.

"YOU son of a bitch! I'm coming for you!"

From Harrigans point of view now, two slashes forming a large "X" would blaze through the wall as Yugi's Masamune of flames flashed through, melting the wall as he came charging through it with a sound like a crunching metal grate, as Yugi slid forward though he realized he'd lost track of Harrigan and could no longer see him.

    WHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

"NO, not again!" Yugi yelled as he knew that sound meant more cannons pointing toward his location. Just then, he felt Harrigans magic power off in the fortress once more.

Bending his knees, and rocketing forward toward a wall, Yugi came clearing, and whirling like a B-Boy through fortress wall after fortress wall. Eventually, when he managed to find Harrigan; looking to his right as he came blazing through a steel wall with a clean slice of his Masamune---Yugi would look to his right and lock eyes with the man.

"Hide and Seek is such a clever game." Yugi would state as pieces of melted steel, and the wall itself sizzled behind him as he began walking toward Harrigan slowly, a gigantic Katana made of fire blazing in his hand, melting the ground of the Fortress as he approached dragging it along.

In a split second, Yugi would spin forward in the air with a breakdance like move, causing the katana made of fire to whoosh and fan flames in the air, as soon as he landed he would start slinging the blade at Harrigan. One slash down, two left to right. Would flash through the air toward Harrigan.

Stopping again, and backflipping through the air once more sideways Yugi would then land on a wall of the fortress and kick off of it heading sideways directly for Harrigan.

Unleashing a single brutal slash that would carve a good area or him in half if he didn't dodge as the blade seared ahead, Yugi would pass Harrigan with amazing speed and decide to keep moving, using his momentum to leap forward off into the Fortress further, hoping that Harrigan couldn't find him any easier than he could track the Guild Master in this Fortress.

The shots fired from the cannons itself, resounded with a deafening sound through the entire canyon. However for Harrigan and Yuri everything seemed to stand still the moment the fire mage, pulled himself up from the one of the walls and directly stared at his opponent. A man arrogant enough, to reply that hellfire gaze with a conceited smile.

Then the moment passed, and everything went full throttle once again. The gears of the cannon barrels  screeched as they moved grindingly to lock in once again on their target. While Yuri, melted a roughly drawn X in the wall, that separated him from the Savage Skull guild master.

Realizing this before hand, Harrigan had already moved to a different location. Not by his sheer speed, but by his control of the fortress, which walls and doors could shape and move to his bidding. By simply created a direct path to a deeper point in the construction, while directly reshaping that path behind him.

'That fool, he'd actually believes he can get to me inside my own contraption.'

Conceited with his own power, and convinced that his cannons would finish the work for him. He'd was totally astonished the moment Yuri crashed through the wall, and managed the one thing no one did before. Find Harrigan inside his own ever changing contraption. In fact he couldn't believe that the man actually was fast enough to stay in front of the endless barrage of the fortresses cannons. And to crash to every single wall in his way.

    'WHAT!! How did you even!!'

But before Harrigan could even finish his own sentence, his opponent Yuri, went on the offensive. And gave the impression that he was a true samurai, by slicing his flaming katana towards Harrigan. Thus creating three separate waves, that scorched the very air. Yet mostly avoidable, by jumping backwards and turning sidewards. He escaped the fiery destruction. Or so he thought

What Harrigan failed to anticipate, was that those three slashes were a ruse, a small ground work for a two step plan that contained a far stronger attack. Using the restricted vision those first flames created, Yuri managed to perform his next attack almost unseen, by jumping back against the wall behind him. And us that to create enough force by propelling himself towards the Savage Skull Guildmaster, while once more slashed at him with his fiery katana.
Harridan's eyes widened the moment he saw this imminent attack coming his way, knowing full well that there was no escaping the fire, that ate away the very ground itself.

Roaring with frustration, Harrigan threw his arm sidewards, while snapping his fingers towards the fire. Focussing on the magic of the attack itself, and use his rapture to disrupt its very flow. Stopping the movement, and disperse the flames along with the heat almost instantly, just centimeters before it could incinerate him. And turn him to ash.

'YOU WRETCH!!' shouted Harrigan with insane anger, the moment he realized Yugi had used the momentum of his attack to disappear somewhere into the fortress. Creating indeed a game of hide and seek, something that put a dent in Harrigans ego, as he highly disliked the idea of having the roles of seeker and hider reversed.

'Fine! If he wants to play this game.. then I'll play...no I will hunt!!' But not alone!!! GARM!!! ON ME!!'

The moment he uttered the name of the beings that were indicated with just one title, may it be a single beast. Or an entire pack. An eerie howling would fill the air, as did the stench of death and rotten flesh. This was the signal of the Garm, the large hound like entities that usually resided through the guild catacombs but always followed its members around. Skulking and stalking them from the shadows, waiting until the moment on of their masters called for them.

A slow-mo would erupt onto the screen as Yugi dove for Harrigan, a katana made of flames hanging completely behind him for a swing. But as he swung it at Harrigan something was wrong.

"!!!" as he skipped by once at blazing speeds and hopped over a wall deeper into the fortress, his katana made of fire seemed to flicker and FWOOSH! out just before he'd tried to blaze Harrigan through with a slash.

'I see....so he not only can target the Magic Power inside of a person...but the Magic Power in elements as well....'

Yugi was flying through the air as he looked behind himself, slightly, thinking. Landing on a piece of metal somewhat high upon the fortress Yugi would feel Harrigan's energy spike for just a moment.........in the next second, an extremely unnerving and loud howl seemed to hit the air around Yugi. Filling the environment. He looked around...nothing. But he felt...he felt like something was on it's way.

"Calling in backup eh?! Two can play at that game!!!" the camera would show his hands fiercely clapping together at a close up. The temperature in the area would sky rocket, so much that heat waves began to be visible throughout the fortress. The ground itself began to rumble and crack beneath the fortress itself as the metal seemed to begin to melt more rapidly, temperature skyrocketing in the entire Mysterious Canyon.

Suddenly, the camera would 'zoom' away from Yugi as from beneath the Metal Fortress they were within, rose heat and flames---it looked as if hell itself was erupting beneath the fortress.

    Fire-Make: Mimic~

Sprouting and shaking the air with heat, as if hell itself was burping; came a fortress that Harrigan would recognize, for it was his own. Only it was made completely of fire, howling like a raging inferno of flames as Yugi stood upon the mass that could be seen from a mile away outside the Mysterious Canyon area.

The camera would show a shot of him, his face slightly shadowed by the fire, flames dancing on the bottom of the screen as he looked down at Harrigan's fortress starting to truly begin melting onto the grounds environment like a pool beneath his own. If Harrigan hadn't just been melted to a crisp. Yugi would locate his magic power. Unlike his fortress. He couldn't exactly survive in an S-Ranked fortress made of howling fire, so he had to get out. And as soon as he did-----

"Now.......fire." raising one hand and pointing at where he felt Harrigan's energies his fortress would ROAR to life, as Cannons of Fire caused the air with whistle with the recoil of the exploding cannons made completely of flame.

The ground around Harrigan would begin to be peppered with huge explosions of flames. Yugi would again slash his arm through the air, as the cannons gave a 'TWOOSH' and yanked into a new position, being made of fire, they didn't have to turn slowly like Harrigan's cannons. "Round two?" Yugi's fingers would be shown in a close-up as he 'snapped'.

A sideways view of Harrigan would literally erupt in fire, in the distance if he dared, awaited a huge fortress made entirely of flames, with Yugi at it's center, standing high upon a cannon.

The fortress would continue to fire, as huge napalm blasts would just continue to hammer down upon Harrigan's location.

"Nowhere to hide...." the camera would spin around Yugi dramatically as he clapped loudly once more.

Fire-Make: Hellbats~ a noise like Batman shattering onto the scene would be heard as a HUGE storm of bats made out of fire, enough to cover up a city, town, or Godzilla completely erupted from the fortress and swam in a giant snake like trail into the air out of it in a mind-shattering display of fantastic magic.

The bats would do a final whip upward, and then come roaring out down of the fortress towards Harrigan's location, buzzing past the camera with a hundred thousand screeches and flaming flaps of their wings headed toward Harrigan at the speed of a train.

The earth cracked open, just as it did before. The walls all around him shook as the canyon roared in agony as it was being teared apart. Only so that something else, yet entirely similar as the fortress erupted from it. Heat filled the air, flames erupted, and the steel walls of the giant holding started to melt. Like the clocks in the famous painting of Dali Salvador. And Harrigan, Harrigan moved with speed of worthy of a guild master as fast as he could from the scene. Back wards, which almost looked as if he floated. Because he barely jumped to  cover great distances. All while the remnants of his fortress tried its best to open a way for him outside.

While he took off, the heat scorched at him. Ate away at his expensive velvet red jacket, which he dramatically left behind while he ran. It angered him, never before had someone forced him to take of something off his attire.

Once outside the fortress, Harrigan turned around so that at least now he faced the direction he was heading in. And by bending a little, he dashed off. Just in the nick of time. Because where he stood, where he left his jacket came down a crashing conjunction of fiery napalm, that would scorch the very earth and leaving nothing but a growing hole in the ground.

The next thirty seconds or so was nothing else but Harrigan who sped to the left and to the right, zigzagging through the canyon. Only so that he could evade the impact of the napalm, who seemed to barrage more frequently then his own artillery. So fast even that it could anticipate his movements and shot straight where he was headed. Forcing him every time to divert his direction.

    'This wretched mage!!!'

Was the only thing he could think off, well and off course other insults that came to mind. Harrigan hated this, not only did his own fortress succumb to the flames of the new one, but also it got him on the run. Putting a serious dent into his arrogant pride.

The firing stopped, and when Harrigan looked back he saw why. Chasing him and closing the distance even though he was speeding up, was a flock or better yet a mass. Of shrieking fiery bats, that together moved as a singular entity in the form of a snake towards him. Something Harrigan was fairly sure he wouldn't want to take a full front hit from.
Luckily for him he heard the stampeding sounds, along with the howling of his own forces. The Garm, the large hound like entries that served as Savage Skull's... well hounds. The clad the other side of the canyon black, as an entire horde of them came running through the canyon, and towards Harring from the direction he was headed. And just in time.

As Harrigan didn't want to take the full brunt of the fiery attacks, his Garm would gladly lay down their lives to do so. So as the Garm ran passed and he disappeared between the bodies of the hounds, the front of the hound would almost immediately clash with the stream of fire that was homing in at Harrigan.

The stench of rotten flesh got mixed with the burning and prickling smell of burning meat. As the frontal wave of Garm collided with the bats. The screamed and squealed as they did so, and while most of the first hundred were reduced to smoldering corpses. Among them two of the Garm stood tall, larger then the rest and with flames emitting from every socket in their body. From their jaws to their eyes. These were Fenrir & Skoll, the Primordial Garm. Harrigan personal pets, and most importantly highly attuned to fire since they themselves appeared to burn brightly with the fiery flames of hell itself. Or so it Harrigan like to talk about them.

'Well alright mister Sparrow, you certainly have earned my attention!!!'

Slowly now stepping forward over the smoldering remains of some of the Garm. Harrigan had stepped out of the the large crowd, that was now in waiting. Hundres, maybe thousands of other Garm still awaiting his command. All growling, while their spit that was as black as tar, dripped onto the ground from their maws.

Harrigans voice was strong and echoed throughout the canyon, enhanced with magic so that he didn't had to raise his voice as if he was shouting. He himself, showed signs of being in combat. His jacket gone, his white blouse having black edged collars, scorned from the fire that Yuri had been casting down on him. But more importantly, the moment he reached his to pet Garm, he stopped walking and snapped his fingers. Summoning two basic swords, nothing to special or any special features. But just two swords, one black that appeared in his own right hand. And when with a red blade, that stuck out several meters away from him in the sand. Like excalibur did, when it was edged into the large rock.

'So why don't you come down here, so that we can have a conversation shall we.'

The conversation off course was nothing more then a direct battle with the swords, a way of communicating and getting to know each others intention. As was the gentleman way off course, well at least if you wouldn't want to die directly. The other was a stand off with guns, that always started with their backs against each other and each had to walk a certain steps, only so that they would turn around and fire at the same time.
