"DO YOU HEAR ME, DAD!? I'M COMING FOR YOU, AND I'M GONNA' KICK YOUR ASS BACK TO HELL!" Deniel yelled, at the very top of his lungs, to the point where his voice his voice had nearly cracked. He was looking right at the direction of Sin. Behind him was the grave he dug for his mother, Arianna, who lay there in the two-person coffin, alone. But Deniel fully intended to make it so she would soon be joined by her husband. Sin was a lot farther away than Iceberg was, and Deniel was in no mood to prolong the journey and walk across several countries to the other side of the Earthland continent. Deniel couldn't wait, nor could he afford to rest. He clenched his fist and closed his eyes, and activated his Full Body Take Over. He was struck by a random bolt of red lightning, and immediately he was standing there in his Black Devil Form. His rage and anger was so powerful that his body was glowing red with his Holy Energy, and red lightning struck various parts of his body. Deniel pushed himself off of the ground, rattling his beetle-like wings, and flew off towards the land of Sin. Deniel made sure to fly high in the sky, that way no one below would suspect anything if they ever saw his shadow. It would look just like any other bird, or bug. Deniel went as fast as he could, and it was a long journey. He needed to travel over the foreign countries of Ministrel, Desierto, until finally he would come upon the land of Sin. Deniel knew the only other way to enter sin was the Pergrande Kingdom...and that was impossible.

    "Dad....you're going down!"

In the barren wasteland of Sin, Diabolos sat on his throne inside of his Obsidian Palace. And it literally was made of Obsidian. Although Obsidian was a fairly weak mineral or stone, compared to others, Diabolos had infused his own Magic into it to make it near-invincible. Just like Arianna, Diabolos had his own throne room, but his place was much more different than hers was. In Diabolos's Throne Room, there sat seven other thrones around them, each containing his seven most trusted Demons: The Sin Lieutenants. As Diabolos sat, one of them stood up. All of their bodies were shadowed, save for Diabolos. He had relatively short black hair, with his bangs a dirty blonde color. His eyes were the same red that Deniel had. And he was dressed in an all-black suit of armor that covered him from his neck down. He had a black cape on along with it, and looked more like a knight of darkness than a demon. The figure that stood up in the room managed to catch the attention of Diabolos and the rest of his Sin Lieutenants. They all stared at him, with various colored eyes. "Lord Diabolos, a report: your wife, Arianna. She is...dead."

Diabolos scowled deeply at the news, but his tone remained very blunt: "Is that so? What was the cause?" The shadowed figure hesitated for a second. He knew that the news would anger his lord, but there was no hiding it from him. "She was killed by your...son. Deniel." Diabolos's scowled, but calm expression quickly changed. Now his eyes widened in his scowl, and he slammed his fist down on to his throne's armrests. "WHAT DID YOU SAY!? DENIEL KILLED ARIANNA!?" This was absolutely unforgivable, even by Diabolos's standards. He loved that woman more than anything, and now...his own son had killed her.

Deniel was traveling as fast as he could, with rage filling his heart. He couldn't wait to get to Sin, and pummel his dad. Arianna, upon her death, warned Deniel not to challenge his father, but he did not heed her warning. Because regardless, he knew Diabolos would find out eventually, and come for looking for him. Deniel passed over the country of Ministrel in almost no time, and was now soaring through the cloudless skies of Desierto. He was going much faster than he was towards Iceberg, because this time, rage was driving him instead of Logic. As he was nearing Desierto's sea border, he could see the desolate land of Sin, shadowed and clouded in darkness and storms.

Meanwhile, in Sin, Diabolos stood up in anger from the news he received. As he did, his Sin Lieutenants stepped out of their smaller thrones and back. The one that told Diabolos of the news remained in place, although he did stare up along with Diabolos. The shadow still remained over all of them, and Diabolos's red eyes were flaring. "My son....DENIEL....killed Arianna!? Where is he!? IS THAT BASTARD COWERING IN FEAR!?" The Sin Lieutenant remained calm, and in his spot. No, Diabolos. In fact, he is on his way here. Right now." Upon hearing the news, Diabolos's mood suddenly took a dramatic shift. There was no longer anger in his eyes, and he didn't seem like he was going to explode any second now. Instead, the black and blonde haired demon gave a smirk, and looked at all of his Lieutenants. "Oooh? Well that's fortunate for us. It's time to kill another Nephalem! Hahahahah!" Diabolos laughed and sat down on his throne once more. The Seven Sin Lieutenants laughed along with them, and joined Diabolos on their thrones. They all gave devilish grins, and could not wait for Deniel to arrive. "Let's get the arena ready."

Deniel got closer and closer to Sin, and closer and closer to his destiny. He had just finished traversing over Desierto, and now was over the sea that separated the desert country from the wasteland of Sin. The clouds in the skies had begun to gather up more, and below Deniel could see that the sea was behaving much more restless. Sin was a dangerous and unpredictable place. And as Deniel neared it, the landscape started to get bigger and bigger, and more visible. He could see a very rugged terrain in the distance, with plenty of active volcanos, and a ash-covered sky that looked like it could rain at any second. As Deniel neared the volcanic and demon-infested country, the weather conditions grew worse and worse, to the point where Deniel was nearly losing control of his own flight due to the immense amount of acid rain and winds near the shore. Deniel had planned to fly all the way to where Diabolos was, but because of the weather, he needed to land, and walk through Sin instead. As soon as Deniel was right above dry land, he dove down on to the shores of the hellish wasteland of Sin. He returned home.

The sun had suddenly disapperead as he entered Sin. Nothing but dark, stormy, acidic clouds were above his head. So thick that not even the sunlight could pierce through. What gave light to Sin were its volcanic eruptions and pits and ditches of lava and magma. While on the shore, thunderstorms and strong winds caused the waves to crash and slowly destroy the rocks on it, so Deniel quickly made his way away from the shore as to not get crushed or dragged away by one of them. The terrain underneath his boots was rough and rocky, but nothing he couldn't handle. Deniel had landed on one of Sin's western shores, and when he finally got up the small hillside that covered the shores, he could see the valley of Sin beneath. There was lava erupting anywhere, and he could feel the heat from where he was standing. Smoke and ash spewed into the skies. The skies had various demons flying around, as well as the ground having some monsters crawling. It truly was a Hellish wasteland, but Deniel couldn't afford to waste too much time there. He needed to get to his father and not waste too much of his energy. Deniel used his strange system of memory that he used to determine Arianna's location in order to locate Diabolos. Amongst the many active volcanoes, Deniel could tell he was in one of them. One that was in the near-center of Sin, and probably one of the largest ones of them all. Deniel could also sense the volcano he was in wasn't active anymore, which would explain why Diabolos chose to thrive there.

The volcano did not emmit any smoke, but what was strange was the various pools of lava surrounding it, as if it had erupted before, and less than 20 years ago, in fact. Deniel had no idea how that could happen, especially since the volcano seemed inactive. There weren't any other ones nearby that could have given it lava, so Deniel questioned it for a second. Did it erupt from the ground? Was it always there? The Black Devil quickly shook his head and started to slide down the small hillside he was on and into the valley of Sin. He couldn't afford to waste too much time here. He needed to get to his father while his strength was still fresh. Being a demon, Deniel doubted that Diabolos would give Deniel the same healing treatment Arianna did before the two of them fought. Once Deniel was off of the hill, he leapt across the gorge that separated it from the rough stone of the valley of Sin. Now his journey had begun. He took fast footsteps, but did not run. He wanted to save that energy as much as possible as well. Not to mention Diabolos's volcano was no too far in the distance, and Deniel estimated he could reach there in around half an hour at the pace he was at.

But that wasn't entirely going to be the case. The monsters of Sin were not easily going to let Deniel just waltz on by without challenging him. He was a demon, sure, but that's the way Sin worked. The strongest and largest survived. And Deniel looked quite small....

Just as Deniel jumped over another ditch filled with lava, something caught him. As he leaped right above the giant pool of molten material, a huge figure bathed in the lava suddenly burst out from the small pool, clenching on to Deniel with hits enormous jaws. If Deniel were any normal demon, that would spell the end of him, and this demon would have had its lunch. However, as Deniel entered the jaws of the best, he drew his sword Nidhogg, and sliced up the monster from inside of its mouth. He cut up its tongue and upper jaw, forcing it to spit Deniel out. Upon exiting, Deniel used his wings to make sure he didn't descend into the lava. And now, it was time for him to finish this demon off. "YAAAAAAAAAAHG!" Deniel gave out a very loud battle cry, impaling his sword inside of the demon's chest. Deniel wasn't sure if it had a heart or not, but it did the trick. Upon taking a closer inspection, he saw that this best wasn't as large as he had initially thought it to be. It seemed to be around seven feet in length, with a molten serpent like body, and a huge jaw and teeth. Although it was quite large, it wasn't as large as Deniel anticipated. As Deniel defeated the beast, it gave a cry of defeat, before sinking into its pool of lava that it initially came from. Using his wings, Deniel flew to the other side, but instead of flying more, he returned to the ground so he could attempt to move further and save some of his energy.

What Deniel didn't know was that his slow progress was making him a vulnerable target, and that it was actually prolonging his ability to get to the Obsidian Palace, draining more stamina than it usually would. But Deniel, a stranger to the land of Sin, did not know just how hazardous it was, and how it worked. How did it work? The strong survived. The weak perished to fuel the strong. As Deniel ran across a large obsidian plane, he was suddenly met by three more enemies. The first one came from beneath his feet, grabbing on to his ankles and holding them in place. Then one came from the sky, grabbing on to Deniel's arms and holding it up. And literally less than a second within those two happening, the last one came in with its claws extended, going straight for Deniel's neck. Just like the previous encounter, Deniel would have died were it not for his skill and ability to get out of a situation like that. Just before the beast struck at his throat, he used his Devil's Reign spell to knock it back, as well as get the grip on his ankles and wrists to let go. The aura of dark red Unholy Energy radiated from Deniel in a huge burst, knocking back the demon that attempted to go for him, and freeing Deniel, but it still was no where near dead. Deniel was about to have a three on one fight against three hunters that worked together to defeat their prey. One underneath, one on the surface, and one in the sky.

Each demon also had a distinct look to it. The one that took to the skies was coated in black scales, kind of like Deniel was, but this was so it could camouflage itself using the dark clouds in the sky. And obviously, it had a pair of leathery bat-like wings on its back for its flight. It's eyes were almost pitch black, located at the front of its face so it could have a huge sense of perception as to where things are at. The one that was on the ground had razor-sharp claws and fangs, and even several spikes on its bodies so it would dig through easier. Each nail on its hands and feet were at least five inches long, and covered up in black obsidian. Its black scaled body was also very thick, so it could resist the friction and force of the stone it dug through. And finally, the one that usually stuck to the surface seemed to be the most physically strongest. Tons of muscle backed on to its limbs covered its massive body, and the way its feet were arranged, in a fashion that seemed to be on its toes and ready to spring appeared to be evolutionary, for the most amount of speed possible. The one in the center that stuck to the surface was a bright red color, blending in with some of the lava and light emitted by the volcanic material. "Your scent is familiar! And you...you bear his looks, who are you!?"

The one that spoke to Deniel was the one in the very front, while the two on the sides seemed to prepare themselves for combat yet again. They seemed to recognize him, and Deniel knew just who they were talking about. "My name is Deniel Decayuss Thorman! I am the son of Diabolos the Black Devil! I demand you all stand aside and let me continue, or else I'll kill you right here!" The demons in front of him didn't move an inch. Instead, the one in the middle snarled, the one that got in the sky let out a screech, and the other one that would go underground roared. "WE WILL NOT MOVE OR RUN FROM THE LIKES OF DIABOLOS! HIM AND HIS ARMY IS WHAT PLAGUES THIS LAND! IF YOU ARE HIS SON, WE WILL GLADLY KILL YOU, AND TAKE YOUR POWER FOR OUR OWN!" Deniel drew his sword Armageddon from his back, and prepared for yet another fight on his hands. He was not afraid to challenge the beasts that roamed about Sin, and certainly not these ones. The one on the right dug underground, just like he usually did, but the one that went to the sky, instead of flying up, it flew straight towards Deniel. Deniel held Armageddon in front of him, without the blade facing the beast, so he could block its attack.

Deniel successfully did, but not only did he do that, he also flung the winged beast away. Just as soon as he did, though, the bright red one was already in front of Deniel, swinging its might fist right at the Black Devil. Deniel was fast enough to duck right under him, but just as he did, he felt the one from underground emerge right behind him, and impale him with one of its razor sharp claws.

Post by Decayuss 25th June 2015, 8:02 pm

"MUUUAAAAGH!" Deniel let out a sound that seemed to be a mixture of man and beast: human and Devil. He turned around and slashed at the one that dug underground as hard as he could. His blade was strong enough to pierce through even its scales, and with another 2 swings, Deniel managed to split its body in half laterally, having its torso area fall right beside its lower body. Deniel's pure red eyes widened as he breathed heavily, and snarled. He could feel a strange feeling of rage that he had kept up inside of him. Of course, this had happened to him before whenever he got in his Black Devil Take Over, but this was a much stronger feeling. He felt as if he needed to fight to survive, and as he cut that being's flesh wide open, and split its body in half, he began to hunger....hunger for its flesh. Deniel quickly shook his head as he turned around to catch the fist of the physical one. Despite its larger body mass than Deniel's, he still had much more overall strength. He was able to bend the beast's arm, and snap its limbs in half. But not just that, Deniel took his sword, and cut its arm clean off. Deniel then took that arm while it was in mid-air, and started beating the face in of the victim. He was literally killing it using its own arm, smashing its fist against its skull over and over again. The blood spewed out and drenched on to Deniel's black scaled skin, but he didn't seem to care. If anything, he appeared to have enjoyed it.

Once he was satisfied, he let the arm drop on to the molten ground, took Nidhogg, and stabbed its chest with it. The bird-like one, seeing its comrades dead, was no where to be found. Deniel couldn't really blame it. If its other partners died, how much better was it? As the blood covered up Deniel's black scales, and he stood there at the corpses of his victims, heavy breaths of steam escaped his nostrils, and he felt an uncontrollable rage enter his body. He stopped for a second, and then let out a very loud roar. Except this roar sounded much more like a human yelling at the top of its lungs than anything else. Regardless, it was loud enough for Diabolos to hear in his Obsidian Palace.

The actual Black Devil, Deniel's father, smirked as he heard the sound along with his seven Sin Lieutenants. "Huh. From the way it sounds, he shouldn't be too difficult. Maybe one of the strongest, but he will never stand up to me. I just hope you guys are ready, though. Hahahahah!" Following Diabolos's laughter, the rest of the seven Sin Lieutenants laughed alongside him. Then Diabolos stood up from his throne, and the rest of the Sin Lieutenants followed him. "I suspect he'll be arriving here shortly. Let's go...and you had better get yourself ready, Sloth." Diabolos walked out of his throne room, along with the seven shadowed figures of the Sin Lieutenants. They were all ready and eager to fight. But despite what Diabolos said, he had a feeling that they would all lose. He just wanted to be sure of it. He scowled to himself as he thought of his son Deniel. He killed Arianna, the only woman I've ever loved! He will pay for this! I will now spend the rest of my days alone, in torment, and without a wife. But so long as I get to destroy him, I'll be fine with that...

    "Make the Devil cry!"
Very shortly after his obnoxious roar, Deniel gave a short burst of pants, out of breath, but they were very feral. They sounded inhuman, and thirsty for blood, and that's exactly what he was right now. He was slowly transforming into a feral, bloodthirsty creature and would stop at nothing until he got his revenge and killed his father. After his roar, Deniel sprinted across the wasteland of Sin towards Diabolos's volcano. From the outside, Deniel could not tell what exactly lay in store for him. It looked like any other volcano, except that it lacked smoke, and was not erupting. That particular element was not on his mind, however, and was instead focused on decimating his father. Just as Deniel hopped over another fissure, a giant fiery object came crashing down from the sky. He held one of his black scaled arms up to protect himself against the heat, which wasn't too much of a bother. He was already surrounded by an endless amount of fire and lava, and was very resilient to high temperatures.

When the fire cleared from the figure, Deniel saw two figures. One was the bird-like demon that he encountered earlier with the three hunters, while the other was...a dragon! It wasn't any kind of Slayer Dragon, no, but it looked a lot like Nidhogg. It had dark red scales, and even then the bright red color of blood was coated on it, and had a serpent shaped body. Its claws dug into the much smaller bird of prey, as its large jaws gaped wide open and snapped its limbs, devouring it. The dragon gulped down the human-sized bird demon, and then stared right at Deniel. It's large nostrils flared smoke right in the Black Devil's face, and then gave a mighty roar that stunk of blood and corpses. All Deniel did was scowl and give his own roar right back at it. This time Deniel's roar sounded much less human, but still had its own sense of humanity stored in it, and not completely beast-like.

The jaws of the beast opened wide, and attempted to devour Deniel in one bite. As its teeth clenched right down on his figure, Deniel used every last ounce of strength he could muster to push against the beasts's upper and lower jaw at the same time using his hands and feet. The Black Devil managed to separate its jaws momentarily, but could not escape it. He gave several snarls inside of its mouth, and then roared a second time. This time, his roar wasn't just to make a sound, but was one of his spells. His Shout of the Devil. Unholy Energy built up at his lips for a moment, and as Deniel opened up his fanged mouth and let out his roar, a Magic Circle appeared right in front of it, causing a huge beam of Unholy Energy to run straight into the throat of the dragon. The beast let out a cry of pain as it gathered up its saliva, and spat Deniel right out of its mouth. The saliva coated Devil landed back on the obsidian ground of Sin, and could never be more relieved to be there. As he rolled on its side and scrambled up to his feet, he drew his might broadsword, Armageddon, and looked straight at the dragon.

The beast shook its head rapidly. It was heavily damaged from Deniel's attack, much more so than if Deniel used it on the outside, but was not defeated just yet. It growled and roared at Deniel once again, challenging him, which Deniel gladly accepted. "LET'S SLAY US A DRAGON, NIDHOGG!"

    "Make the Devil cry!"
"Let's go, partner!" Deniel's weapon gladly accepted its master's challenge. The beast before them raised its clawed hand, filled up with hundreds of pounds of muscle and strength, and much bigger than Deniel himself. Despite the difference in their size, however, Deniel was the much more brutish of the two. The Nephalem Blood flowing through his veins that had almost completely transformed into the blood of the Black Devil granted him an immeasurable amount of brute force. With relative ease, he held up Armageddon on its side, and as the dragon's swipe connected with it, Deniel didn't budge an inch. "Tch! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Deniel let out a prolonged yell as he pulled back Nidhogg once the dragon's blow connected with him, and gashed open the dragon's palm. His cut was very prolonged, as he lifted up his sword just as his battle cry had begun, and finally let it tear open the beast's flesh once it ended.

Despite the small gap of time, Deniel's blow still connected, and the dragon let out another cry of pain. Just as it did, though, it let out a huge breath of fire. The inferno of heat surrounded Deniel's entire body, blasting right through him, and annihilating any form of obsidian around him. But the Black Devil just stood there, in the heat, without budging an inch. And just as the dragon's roar had ended, Deniel was still standing, with only his black scales charring smoke up, but he seemed relatively unaffected. And the small patch of obsidian that he stood on was perfectly fine, whilst everything else around him had shattered and broken. "You...what kind of a demon are you!?" Surprisingly enough to Deniel, the dragon was able to speak. The Black Devil stared up at the creature with a scowl on his face, and spoke back: "My name is Deniel Decayuss Thorman! I am the son of the Black Devil, Diabolos, and have come here to kill him!" Despite Deniel's seriousness, all the dragon did in response was let out a mocking, ferocious laughter. "Ghahahahaguahguah! Kill, Diabolos? Diabolos cannot be slain. No Demon in Sin, no angel, no warrior, and certainly no Nephalem has ever tried, and walked out alive! You are merely walking into your doom, Nephalem!" Just as the dragon finished, it gave a huge breath of smoke right at Deniel's face, and took off into the skies. The smoke was merely in an attempt to distract Deniel, and make its escape, as it found out that it could not prevail in a fight against him.

But doubting Deniel was its other mistake, second to challenging him. As the dragon took off, Deniel grabbed on to the very tip of its tail. "YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY!" As Deniel grabbed on to its tail, he slammed the beast right back down on the obsidian ground, and sprinted up its body. With Armageddon still in his hand, Deniel transformed his blade into a scythe, and then proceeded to finish off his foe. Using his massive scythe, the Black Devil proceeded to impale it repeatedly into the dragon's skull. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten times! Deniel stabbed its skull ten whole times before leaping up into the air, and choking the dragon with his scythe as he landed on the back of its neck. The beast was more than likely dead at that point, but Deniel did not care. He tugged on his blade's hilt as hard as he could, with his scythe slowly tearing through the flesh and bone of the dragon. Eventually, with enough strength poured into it, Deniel managed to sever the head of the dragon from its neck, with its blood gushing out of it veins and through.

    "Make the Devil cry!"
"Even for you, Deniel, that was brutal." Hopping off of the dragon's corpse and into the pool of blood created by the wound, Deniel just grunted at Nidhogg's remark. "So what?" He was very apathetic towards the fate of the dragon, and the method of killing him was mostly irrelevant to Deniel. He was dead either way, why worry about it? "Besides, something tells me he wouldn't have shown the same fate that I bestow upon him. My corpse would probably be devoured by now." Deniel slowly walked out of the pool of blood that kept on expanding with all of it gushing out of the dragon's wounds. With the fight now over, he sheathed his sword Armageddon on his back, but it wasn't done talking. "Maybe getting devoured is a much better fate than being decapitated, and left there to rot."

Deniel was about ready to sprint again, until Nidhogg made his remark. He gave a glance back at his sword with narrowed eyes, almost as if he distrusted it. "Are you taking this to heart because it was a dragon like you that I slayed?"

"Respect the dead, Deniel. That's all I'm asking."

"Noted." He took off sprinting once again across the obsidian, barren land of Sin. He was getting closer and closer to Diabolos's volcano, so close that the ground had begun to elevate. This meant that he was pretty much on the volcano now....and there was only one way inside. He needed to go in from the top. It sounded like a suicide idea, as there could easily be a pool of lava just beneath him, but it was the only way. And Deniel could feel that Diabolos was inside of that volcano, almost right at the core. Just like his mother, he knew almost exactly where he was without ever being there before. As Deniel ascended up the volcano, Diabolos and his Sin Lieutenants inside awaited him. "Hmph. Let's give him one last test, shall we?" Diabolos snapped his fingers once, and a rumbling could be felt through his obsidian palace.

On the surface, as Deniel made his way up, he suddenly heard a shriek unlike anything he had heard before. And from beneath his feet, the ground began to rumble. When suddenly, a huge purple demon emerged from beneath him, swallowing him whole. He was not fast enough to react to it, so ultimately he ended up traveling down the throat of the mighty creature, with its acid saliva covering up his body. "Damn it! Swallowed again! I'll get out of here, I swear!" Deniel yelled as he begun to fall into the stomach of the beast. Luckily for him, stomachs weren't completely filled with acid. Deniel was able to use his beetle-like wings to take flight in the creature's stomach, and prevent himself from being by its toxic acid. He was fortunate that the creature had swallowed him whole. "Seriously, these guys should learn how to chew once in a while..." With a mere shrug, the Black Devil reached behind his back, and drew his sword, Armageddon. A ferocious scowl appeared on his face, indicating he was about to engage in a very brutal act. Swallowing him was the last mistake this creature would ever make. "Time to get to work, I suppose...."

    "Make the Devil cry!"
"Again...chew your food." As the Black Devil drew his sword from his back, he sent a surge of Unholy Energy into it. The demonic blade was swiftly covered in his Magic, almost completely concealing the blade underneath. Deniel got close to one of the walls of its stomach, and pointed his sword forward. In an instant, Deniel's sword thrust forward, piercing right through the beasts's stomach. That wasn't enough for him, though. He pierced his sword further, going past the rest of the organs, to the point where his sword was poking right out of its flesh. The monster that Deniel was trapped inside let out a huge cry of pain and agony, to the point where almost all of the land of Sin could hear its shriek.

Most importantly, Diabolos and his Seven Sin Lieutenants could hear it. On his seat, Diabolos had his chin resting in his palm, and once he heard the noise, his eyebrow had been raised. "Ooooh? What's this?" Just as Deniel's sword has skewed the beast's stomach, he grabbed on to his sword with both hands, and will all of his might, cut right its stomach wide open, gashing out its organs and blood. And as he did, the creature fell to the ground in agonizing pain, with Deniel hopping right out of its stomach just in time. The Unholy Energy from his sword vanished, and as he stood right in front of the creature he had just brutally slain, his body was drenched in blood. He sheathed his sword on his back, and clenched his fist with all of his might. The brutal act that he had just pulled of left him....unsatisfied. He had never done anything like this before, and it felt good. It felt good good. The thrill of seeing that beast's stomach rip wide open, and the cry it made. It made him hunger for more.

"That cry....I must hear a beast cry!" With heavy breaths, he stared right up at the top of the volcano, where he was not too far away from. Just a bit more running, and he'd be there. "The Devil...I must hear the Black Devil Cry! I'LL MAKE YOU CRY, DAD!" Deniel took off so fast and with so much force that he left a small crater where his boot had been planted. He sprinted up the mountain of Sin, and just as he reached the top, he dove right down. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" He gave a loud battle cry as he dove down, and down, and down. And eventually, he landed on his feet. In the very center of a platform made of True Obsidian. As he looked up, he couldn't believe where he was.

He was standing at the very center of a gladiator's arena, made entirely out of Obsidian. The platform he was standing on was the arena itself, and it seemed to be decorated and made out of the skulls of beings embedded into the Obsidian. Deniel was standing right in the center, and just above him was the exit to the volcano. All around him, in the audience's seats were demons of every shape and kind, cheering as soon as Deniel had entered the arena. He didn't know why, and he didn't sign up for this. But when he looked up ahead of him at one of the stands...he saw him.

    "Make the Devil cry!"
"You...!" Pure red eyes met the same eyes that caused that to bear it. The eyes of Deniel as the Black Devil, with eyes as purely red as blood met that of his father's. Diabolos along with the seven shadows of his Sin Lieutenants were seated just in front of where Deniel was, but on a higher elevation, just in line with the crowd. Deniel couldn't see who exactly the shadows were, just his father, but that's all he cared about seeing right now. The red eyes of Diabolos The Black Devil stared down at his son with a devilish smirk on his face. Deniel's father did not respond to him with words. Instead, he raised up his arm, and snapped with it just like he did before that caused the monstrous purple demon to attack him. Just in front of Deniel and behind him were the two other entrances to the arena, which seemed like endless hallways of blackness. As Diabolos snapped his fingers, demon came pouring out of the hallway that was in front of Deniel.

As the demons surrounded him, Deniel continued to stare up at his father with a scowl on his face. It seemed like he did not acknowledge their presence, but rather focused on his dad. It had been over ten years since he had seen him. Ten long, miserable years all thanks to him and his mother. While his mother was dead, his father was still alive, and he had the fullest intent on killing him. All Diabolos did was stare back at his son, and neither of them exchanged words. He could have easily gone down and started fighting him, but he wanted to see just how strong he was first. Let's see if him killing Arianna was because of skill, or dumb luck. Diabolos frowned at his son as the idea of him killing his wife came into his mind once more. The hand that was on his throne's armrest clenched on to it harshly. Diabolos could feel his blood rushing, and the thrill of beating up his son getting to him. But he needed to be patient about it...

The demons finished surrounding Deniel, each one of them tough and looking ready to kill him. Deniel could see that there was sixteen of them total. But that didn't matter to him. In fact, he figured out their numbers without even looking at him. And just as the first one pounced on him, Deniel still didn't even look at it. Instead, while still looking straight at Diabolos, he jumped right over it, slashing it and kicking it away. As the next one went for Deniel, he ducked right under it, with his entire face still pointed right at Diabolos's eyes. "Oooh? What does he plan on doing?" What Deniel planned on doing was taking out Diabolos's demons right now without even looking at them. If he wnated to see his skill, then that's exactly what he was going to do. As three demons came for Deniel all at the same time, he used Armageddon to cut around him in a circle, but even then, he still kept his blood red eyes glued on to Diabolos. Diabolos raised his eyebrow at his son. He didn't entirely doubt his ability to pull it off, but it would be interesting for him to see his son actually manage to do something such as that.

    "Make the Devil cry!"
Diabolos did not entirely doubt his son's ability to take on a group of opponents without even having his eyes on them. The demons that he gave Deniel were fairly weak in comparison to what he had in store of Deniel. In essence, the only reason he had sent these demons out was to gain knowledge of how exactly his son fought. And based on the way he was taking care of the demons, it wasn't something that was hard to get used to.

The next one that came after Deniel went in from behind, and despite the fact that his eyes were not on it, he was still able to sense that it was coming. Just before the attack was about to make contact with his scales, the Black Devil thrust his sword Armageddon right behind him, impaling the demon on his blade. But whilst he had the advantage with it, Deniel used its massive body to flinging it into another one of the demons that was unfortunate enough to be chosen to fight Deniel. The next one that came at Deniel wasn't going to get a pass to live, however. When this one came from right beneath Deniel, he jumped over it, and pushed it down to the ground with his black boots. Following that up, Deniel reached down to its neck with Armageddon, and decapitated it almost instantly. In spite of the decapitation, his eyes were still glued right on to his father. And as he reached down to grab the head, he swiftly flung it up to the throne that Diabolos sat on near his Sin Lieutenants. Instead of moving to dodge the head, Diabolos merely sat on his throne, and one of his Sin Lieutenants stood up and smacked it right back down to the arena.

"How dare you disrespect Lord Diabolos!" The Sin Lieutenant looked as if he were about to assault Deniel, until Diabolos held his hand up for....it to sit down. From the sound of its voice, Deniel presumed the shadowed Sin Lieutenant to be a male. "Calm yourself. I find his daring attitude to be amusing." Reluctantly, the Sin Lieutenant obeyed his genera and king, and sat back down on his nearby throne. Diabolos stared down at Deniel kill three more of the demons that he sent in after him, and all the while he kept on staring at him. Deniel had not yet even made a word to Diabolos, other than "You", and Diabolos did the same to his son. Diabolos narrowed his eyes at his son, as he brought his blade through one of the demon's chest, skewering it before throwing it against another demon. All while staring at his father. He hasn't used a bit of Magic yet...what kind does he use? Is that spitting image of me permanent, through Magic? What? Back down in the arena, as his father stared at him and he looked him back, Deniel transformed Armageddon into a scythe, and swung it around himself three times in a row, killing three demons in the process. Following that, he charged down a demon right in front of him, pretty much tackling it to the ground whilst stabbing its chest. So far, he hadn't taken a single scratch, and he still had his eyes on Diabolos.

    "Make the Devil cry!"
With only several more swings of Deniel's gargantuan sword and scythe, he had finally finished off killing all of the demons. The arena was coated in their blood, and Deniel bathed in it. Not quite literally, however, he might as well be. He had finished off all sixteen demons much swifter than Diabolos had anticipated, and he did it all whilst giving him a look filled with malice. Diabolos grew frustrated not because his son had managed to kill his subordinates, no, they were expendable, but because he had pretty much wasted them. He was hoping to get a glimpse of the kind of Magic that his son was capable of using, but he got nothing out of it. With his frustration growing, his judgment decided that there was only one way to figure out.  With all of the demons defeated, and the crowd cheering for the bloodshed they witnessed, Diabolos stood up from his throne, and immediately there was silence. "Welcome, my son! To my arena!" There was cheering, snarls, and roars among the demons once more, but Dibaolos hushed them all with a simple wave of his hand, a demonstration of his supreme power.

"You are yet another Nephalem walking in, but another that shall never crawl out. The only way for you to get out of here alive is to defeat my Seven Sin Lieutenants in one-on-one combat, and then duel me in a fight to the death should you make it pass all of them!" Deniel listened to his father with intent, and sheathed Armageddon on his back once more. As his father finished, the demons let out their cries of sadistic joy once more, until Deniel's booming voice had cut them off. "Are these battles consecutive!" Diabolos crossed his arms, and answered his son almost right away. "Only if you wish them to be. If you win a battle, like you have just now, you can choose to rest and recover your strength, and move on right away! But beware, once you have chosen to move on, there is no going back!" Almost the moment that Diabolos had finished, Deniel drew his sword and pointed it straight up at his father, "I CHOOSE TO MOVE ON! Bring on your next Sin Lieutenant, I'll rip them to pieces!"

Diabolos was caught by surprise with Deniel's sudden eagerness to fight, but was more or less amused. With a brief laughter, he sat back down on his throne, and looked to the far right of the thrones. One of the Sin Lieutenants stood up from their thrones, and then leaped down into the arena. At long last, Deniel saw one of their faces. This Sin Liuetenant was built massively. He was not that much taller than Deniel, although Deniel was six feet eight inches in this form, but his body was massive. He was most dominantly a brown demon, covered up in dark brown fur, massive bat-like wings on his back, with purple interiors. Its eyes were red, full of rage, and red markings covered up parts of his upper body, in his upper chest and lower abdomen area. Chains wrapped themselves around his arms, thighs, and even connected to his wings, and on the back of his head were two large horns going backwards. Deniel and the monstrous demon stood on opposite ends of the arena, with Deniel already drawn his sword. "What is your name...?!"

The creature snarled at Deniel, and spoke in a voice that certainly matched its appearance. It was beast-like, and had no human qualities towards it, "I have no name! No Sin Lieutenants do! We are referred to by our Sins! I am the Embodiment of Sloth!"

    "Make the Devil cry!"
"Bring it on, Mr. Sloth! Just hope that you don't fall asleep during out fight!" Deniel hopped up and down as he said it, showing his eagerness to finally battle one of Diabolos's Sin Lieutenants. If they were so close to him, then that must mean they are very strong, and perhaps killing one of them would shake him up. In spite of the sin that Sloth represented, he was no snail. As Deniel taunted him, he swung out one of his chains, which wrapped itself around Deniel's black scales. And as soon as it did, Sloth swung him around the arena as if it were nothing. He swung him to the right, slamming him into a wall, and doing the same to the left side. Then he lifted Deniel up off of the ground, practically flinging him up to the entrance of the volcano, before abruptly swinging him all the way down into the Obsidian Arena. As Deniel's body crashed down onto it, it sent out a shock wave. However, Sloth was far from done with Deniel. His hands holding the chains ignited with Black Fire, before traveling down the chains and consuming Deniel's body. "Taste the fires of Hell!"

Diabolos anticipated such an outcome to befall upon Deniel. He taunted Sloth, and that meant the fight would get much harder from there on out. Diabolos did not doubt Deniel's ability to win against Sloth regardless, but perhaps the aggressiveness and strength of the monstrous demon could pressure him into utilizing some of his Magic. As the Black Fire consumed Deniel, all he did was sit there...and laugh. With a flex of his muscles and a surge of his strength, Deniel managed to break free of the chains of Sloth. He dashed right out of the black fire, with blood coming out of his mouth and nose, along with a few bruises on his body from the wrath of Sloth, but otherwise he seemed unaffected by the fire. With his sword Armageddon still drawn, Deniel brought down a massive swing on to Sloth, only to have it blocked by one of its hands. It was on the beast's bare hands, of course, but rather golden knuckles that were on the back of its hands, that it used to block Deniel's blow. And then, bright green claws had honed themselves right out of the slots for the glove, which Sloth then used to try and cut Deniel's stomach with it. Deniel quickly blocked the blow using Armageddon, and then went in for a counter-attack with a horizontal slash at the beast's chest.

Sloth blocked Deniel's attack once more, and the two unleashed a flurry of blows on each other, only to have the opponent block it. It wasn't until Deniel had managed to break through its defenses, and give a grievous cut to Sloth that stretched all the way across its chest area, looking almost like another red mark. Upon landing the attack, Sloth let out a roar to Deniel, and then hit him abruptly so hard, that he flew to the other end of the arena, and crashed into a wall. "Oooh! That's gotta' hurt. Hahahah!"

    "Die, Sloth!"
Wiping the blood off of his mouth, Deniel stared straight at the beast on the other side of the arena. Sloth let out an inhuman roar, and that's when Deniel saw him...him. A monstrous creature, but still human. In the presence of Sloth, Deniel saw the monster from his childhood: Senji. A man whose body seemed to be impossible to even have, and whose mercy didn't exist. Deniel could see the day when Senji, despite being much older, much stronger, much faster, much more than anything Deniel was at the time, snapped his limbs and mocked him. And in the face of Sloth, a creature who seemed similar to Senji, Deniel tapped into his rage. The Nephalem pushed himself off of the obsidian, Sloth had hit him into, and his body ignited in a fury of Unholy Energy. Almost instantly, Deniel's Magic Power flooded the arena, with so much force that even Sloth had to hold up one of his arms in front of him in defense.

On his throne, Diabolos raised his eyebrow upon seeing the Magic his son used, at long last. "Oooh? What's this? Deniel condensed all of his Unholy Energy that flooded the arena to his body, making it appear like it was on fire with his Magic. Instantly he appeared right in front of Sloth, and with an extra surge of Unholy Energy on his leg, kicked the mighty creature skyward. Following him up, Deniel activated two spells associated with his sword: Unholy Blade, and Summoned Swords. The very first strike he gave against Sloth was a powerful one, and as he cut Sloth several more times, each one was followed up by a sword of Armageddon. They appeared right beside Deniel, or above him, made out of Unholy Energy, and then impaled Sloth. Once Deniel gave him final attack, the Summoned Swords on Sloth detonated, sending him straight to the ground. And Deniel pointed his sword down, letting himself dive in for the kill. Just before his sword had stabbed Sloth, Diablos held out his hand, "Enough!" Deniel's blade stopped, just an inch away from Sloth's fur. "You have triumphed, Deniel. You may continue, or you can have an audience with me."

Covered up in blood and cuts, Sloth stood up, and jumped back up to the throne area surrounding Diabolos. The beast panted, and bowed before its master. "Forgive me, Diabolos. I could not defeat him." Diabolos gave a signal for Sloth to stand, and return to its throne. "No, Sloth. You have done well. And I hope you recover well." In the arena, Deniel stared up at his father interact with Sloth, and he was surprisingly....humane. Despite his warrior not succeeding in defeating him, Diabolos did not seem to be too concerned about it. Once Diabolos's attention was back down at Deniel, his son just glared at him, and held up his hand, "I choose to have an audience with you....your highness..." And with that, Deniel sheathed Armageddon on his back once more, and was getting read to de-activate his Take Over.

    "Make the Devil cry!"
"Very well then..." Diabolos snapped his fingers, and the gate on the end of the arena which was under Diabolos's throne was immediately opened up, allowing Deniel to proceed. Just as it did, Deniel was finally back to his normal state. Red eyes, normal ones, black hair, black clothing, and his katana rather than Armageddon. Diabolos witness Deniel's de-transformation, and that reassured him that his son's ability to assume his form was through Magic, and nothing more. Deniel proceeded forward, into the dark hallway that lead beneath the arena. As he did, Diabolos waved his hand to all of the demons sitting in the audience, "We shall continue once my son is ready. You are all free to do as you please now." And with that, Diabolos, followed by his seven Sin Lieutenants exited the arena. Beneath the arena, Deniel found himself arriving at a sort of waiting room. There were benches and chairs, along with tables, and racks of weapons and armor. As he looked around, Diabolos suddenly appeared right behind his son, placing his head on his shoulder. Alarmed, Deniel drew his katana as he stared back at his father, but Diabolos held up his hand in protest.

"Hold on there, son! I'm not here to kill you yet. You'll have to earn that." Deniel wasn't entirely convinced by his father's story, so he kept his sword drawn and pointed at him. "Why should I believe you? Old bastard." Diabolos wasn't that old, in fact. He looked not that much older than Deniel, despite the huge age difference between him. Diabolos shared Deniel's red eyes and black hair, except Diabolos's was in a different style, and his bangs were a dirty blonde color. Diabolos wore a crimson red coat with nothing underneath for his upper body, along with a pair of grey jeans and crimson red boots. He looked far different than Deniel, which contradicted the stories that Deniel heard about him being his spitting image. "Do you honestly think I would let you in that arena, nearly kill one of my Lieutenants, and then let you out just to kill you backstage? No. If I were to kill you, I want all of the world to see it!" The last part spoken from Diabolos was filled with malice and evil intent, and Deniel could feel it in the air. Regardless, he had no choice but to believe him. He lowered his sword, and sheathed it back in his scabbard.

"That's more like it. By the way, I loved the fight! Watching you kick Sloth's ass really got my blood going! That's my boy!" Diabolos smacked Deniel on the back, and then put his arm around his shoulder, almost like any father would. Diabolos was only an inch or so taller than Deniel, but he still felt small when in his presence. "Dad....what are you--" Before Deniel could finish his sentence, Diabolos started walking with him, cutting his son off, "Let's eat, yeah? You must be starving! Any warrior can't fight on an empty stomach. Not to worry! I already have a feast readied for us, so you can gorge yourself all you want!"

    "Make the Devil cry!"
Diabolos lead Deniel out of the arena's waiting area, and into a hallway. Deniel noticed the walls were made of Obsidian, but regardless, the place was decorated nicely, almost like a lord's castle. The carpet beneath Deniel and Diabolos's feet was blood red, just like their eyes, with golden trimmings and designs. The hallways were lit up with torches, but there were no windows. Deniel remembered that there was nothing like this on the outside, which must have meant this entire place was built into the volcano. Diabolos noticed his son taking a look at his surroundings, and with his arm still around him, just gave him a nudge. "This is my palace, Deniel, the Obsidian Palace. Normally obsidian isn't that hard of a material, but combining it with my Demonic Unholy Energy, I am able to transform it into True Obsidian. Nearly indestructible." They turned a corner with the hallway and continued to head down. "True....Obsidian?" Diabolos gave a glance at his son, showing obvious disappointment in his eyes. "Yeah, True Obsidian."

Deniel frowned as the two of them turned another corner, and he saw the dinner table set up for them. It looked very similar to the one in Arianna's Icecrown Citadel, having enough seats for 5 entire families, but other than Diabolos and himself, there were no other demons that would partake in it. Diabolos took his hand off of his son, and sat at the seat that looked to be the mightiest and most aesthetic of them all. Of course. Deniel took a seat near his father, but not right next to him. He was curious to hear about this 'True Obsidian' Diabolos spoke of. The table itself was set with all kids of foods: fruits, vegetables, meats (rare, medium rare, and even raw), desserts, and drinks. Despite the fact that it was set for only two people, Diabolos had surely gone all-out. "What is this, True Obsidian?" Deniel asked his father as he placed several slices of meat on his plate, and poured himself some wine, unbeknownst to him about what it really was. Diabolos, on the other hand, had already poured himself some wine, as as Deniel asked his question, he drank from it. His father nearly choked on it once he asked the question, and took a few moments of gagging and coughing to recover himself. "What!? You don't know what True things are!?"

Deniel was secretly hoping that Diabolos simply choked and died on his wine. But since he didn't, he just shook his head and took a bite of his meat. Diabolos shook his head and sighed, "What a worthless son you are....don't know a goddamn thing about yourself." Diabolos drank his wine straight from the bottle, like an alcoholic father and began. "'True' things are objects that have attained measures and power beyond that which they were initially capable of. 'True' things are not easy to attain, naturally, but once they are, whomever obtains them will now great power. Naturally, True Obsidian does not give me that much power, but it does provide a badass place." Diabolos let out a brief laughter, and drunk from his wine again. Deniel only gorged himself as he was starving just as Diabolos speculated earlier, but still listened to what his father had to say. "And I'm guessing that's where a True Nephalem comes in."

    "Make the Devil cry!"
"Yes....tell me, do you even know what that is, Deniel?" Diabolos scornfully spoke to his son on the topic of a True Nephalem. It was obvious the mere mention of it made Diabolos's blood boil and skin crawl. All Deniel did in response to his father was shake his head, and sip his wine. Diabolos sighed, chugging down more wine from the bottle, nearly finishing it. "A True Nephalem is born once the Nephalem has spilled and bathed in the blood of its mother and father. But at the same time, a Nephalem must also master its demonic and holy powers separately in order to master them together." Diabolos once again scowled at the topic. Deniel finally recognized exactly what Arianna meant about him earlier.

According to her, all Nephalem attempt to murder their parents as a second instinct, and based on what Diabolos just told him, Deniel figured that it was in order to become a True Nephalem. "Well that's not my goal, dad--" "THEN WHAT IS YOUR GOAL!? You think you're so different from the rest? Huh!? You think you're some kind of special little shit who isn't like my past sons and daughters? Well you're wrong you little asshole! Your desire to kill me is no different than any other Nephaelm's. You can make any excuse you want, but when it boils down, the only reason you want to kill me is so you can obtain power. JUST LIKE YOU KILLED MY WIFE!" There was a silence in the room. Diabolos stared at Deniel with hate in his eyes, obviously from the death of Arianna. Deniel felt no remorse or regret for doing it. She got what was coming to her. Diabolos grunted and chugged down the rest of his wine. "If all Nephalem want to kill you, why bother having them at all. Just to satisfy your sick, twisted pleasure? You're no better than they are, Dad."

Diabolos flung his bottle of wine at the nearest wall, shattering it in an instant. Then he angrily stood up from his chair, smashing his hands down on the table. 'You want your goddamn power, little shit!? Too bad! I'll make sure you never get it. I'll make sure this Obsidian Palace will be your grave! I hope you enjoy the last day of your life here, Deniel." Deniel calmly finished his meat, before grabbing on to a piece of pie and chewing down on it. Obviously, he was much more calm about this than Diabolos was, despite both of them having a lust for vengeance against one another. "Power is not my main desire from you, dad. But if it comes with killing you, I'll gladly take it. When I'm really after is avenging all of my fallen siblings, for dying at your sick hand. And I'm going to fulfill my promise I made all those years ago. I'M GOING TO MAKE YOU CRY!" There was dead silence in the room once more. The anger and hate between the two had quickly risen in just a few moments, but regardless, none made a move on the other. It would be settled in the arena, so long as Deniel had the ability to make it past Diabolos's Sin Lieutenants. He already did it once, and that wasn't too hard, he could do it six more times for sure.

    "Make the Devil cry!"
The silence was short lived. Diabolos scoffed and sat back down. Despite finishing his wine, there was still plenty more on the table left for him. He lifted up yet another bottle, and brought it to his lips. He gave a very prolonged chug of the drink, before groaning a breath. "You can take a break in your temporary room. Once you're ready to fight the next one, just let the guard know." It was quite alright with Deniel. He was receiving much more hospitality from his father than he did his mother, in spite of Diabolos's burning desire to kill him. He was done eating anyway, but noticed all his father did was drink wine..."Well where's my room, anyway?" Diabolos set down his wine and stood up to his feet. Deniel did the same. "I'll show you." No longer walking down the hallways with his arm around his son, Diabolos was in front of Deniel, leading him down only two hallways before he stopped at a door. Deniel noticed the door wasn't made of obsidian, but rather wood. It almost appeared to be a door to a cell.

Diabolos made the way clear for Deniel, stepping aside and letting him enter. Deniel grabbed the door's handle, and opened it up, taking a glance inside. It was quite a simple room. The walls and floor were made of True Obsidian, although the floor had the same red carpet that the hallways contained. There was a bed already made for Deniel in the corner of the room. There wasn't anything else in the room, but it's not like Deniel needed anything else. Deniel gave a glance back at his father as he took two short steps into his room. Diabolos stood there with his arms crossed, wordless. "Thanks, Dad. That will be all." Diabolos rolled his eyes and closed the door behind Deniel. Deniel was left alone in his room. That is, he would be alone if it weren't for Nidhogg. Walking over to his bed, Deniel grabbed the sheathed sword, and held on to it with both hands. He laid himself down on to it, resting his upper body against the back of the bed. "Nidhogg, do you think we can trust him?" Deniel was still highly suspicious of his father. He had given him food, sure, but this could all very easily be one huge trick against Deniel.

"I believe him, Deniel. And I think you should as well." Nidhogg was very blunt about his answer, causing Deniel to get suspicious as to why. Nidhogg gave no reason for thinking that way, he just answered him. Diabolos said that it was no trick, and that ddin't convince him, but if Nidhogg was willing to, then perhaps he should. With a brief sigh, Deniel closed his eyes and laid back in his bed. "Alright, I believe him. I'll get some rest, and then I'll see how many I can battle tomorrow." Deniel planned on fighting more than one Lieutenant, perhaps three. The only reason he only fought one today is because he was eager to see what Diabolos said today, and he had fought a lot of demons earlier.

    "Make the Devil cry!"
The Nephalem slowly but surely dozed himself off to sleep. He had no idea what time of the day it was anyway, as he was not only granted any vision of the outside world, but everything so far had happened in just one day. He walked to Iceberg, traversed the Icecrown Citadel, came all the way back to Fiore. came to Sin, and located the Obsidian Palace all in one day. A lot of strain was on his body, so in spite of his caution, sleep eventually deprived him of all alertness, and he succumbed sleep. An unknown amount of time passed before the Nephalem's eyes slowly folded open, before Deniel alarmingly looked at his surroundings. Sleep caused his memory to be jotted for several seconds, before recalling the events that took place before he decided to rest himself. Remembering what exactly happened, Deniel gave a brief sigh before pushing himself off of his bed. Immediately he opened the wooden, prison-like door of his room, and made his way out into the hall. Immediately, upon closing his door, Deniel almost ran into his father. Diabolos was on his way to see him, but Deniel managed to wake up at the perfect time.

"Oh. Look who is up." No longer alarmed to be in the presence of his father, but still feeling rather awkward, Deniel stood his ground and nearly demanded his next statement. "How long was I asleep for?" All Diabolos did was shrug in response, "Who knows? I don't know how long it took to to fall asleep. That's irrelevant, anyway. Are you ready to--" "Yes. I'm ready to kick the asses of the rest of your stupid lieutenants." Interrupted by his son before he could finish did not anger Diabolos, but rather entice him to appreciate the guts of his son further. Laughing, he slapped his son on the back and started to lead him down the other way they initially came before Deniel had fallen asleep. "Hahahah! Spoken like a warrior, and an arrogant bastard!" Diabolos lead Deniel through a bit of the Obsidian Palace, which Deniel noticed they were passing up large sections. Diabolos was only showing him the bare minimum of his palace. Only his room, hallways, and the dining room. Diabolos lead Deniel all the way to the waiting area that was on the other side of the arena that he exited the other day.

"Sorry about the mix-up, but you'll be here from now on. My Lieutenants will be on the other side. Now, then, let's go!" A sinister smirk on his face, and his son being lead by him, Diabolos walked out into the arena with Deniel following him. The crowd of demons had grown even more since the other day, and they gave roars of snarls, cheers, and actual roars upon seeing their king enter, followed by his son. Diabolos made his way to the center of the arena, before abruptly leaping up into the stand of his throne. Deniel noticed that there was someone missing from their throne up in the stands. He also noticed that Sloth was no longer shadowed. Just like Diabolos, he could see him clearly. Frowning, Deniel thought to himself: So they keep themselves concealed until it is time for me to defeat them. Hmph. On the other side of the arena, the door that had been sealed off was slowly opening up, leading the way for the next Sin Lieutenant to challenge Deniel.

    "Kneel before me, Envy!"
As the True Obsidian gate opened itself up, and the crowd of demons hushed themselves, Deniel could hear the footsteps of the next Sin Lieutenant. They were relatively quiet, especially compared to the thundering ones made possible by Sloth. They were quite slow as well, and from the sounds of it, they were bare foot. Deniel saw a shadowy figure appear at the entrance way, before entering the arena and showing its face. This Sin Lieutenant had much more of a human-like appearance than Sloth did. His body was human, for the most part. His face appeared to be, as well as his upper body, save for his arms. His arms slowly shifted to dark green scales, different than the one's Deniel had on his Take Over. They looked to be like...dragon scales! Noticing his back, Deniel saw two folded green dragon wings, green scales on its outside, and yellow leathery material in the inside. The Lieutenant wore dark grey shorts with a green sash tied around his waist, and Deniel could see that even his lower body was covered in its dark green dragon scales. He also took notice that the scales matched the color of its eyes....exactly.

Its human face had spiked back blonde hair, and when it opened its mouth, Deniel could see sharp fangs inside of it. "Welcome, Nephalem....I am the Sin of Envy." His voice was quiet, yet Deniel was still able to hear him. It was as if the Lieutenant were whispering into his ear, despite the distance between him. "Let'ssssssssssss have sssssssome fun...." The way he used his s's were as if he were a snake. They were drawn out, and he could even see the flicker of its forked tongue from where he was standing. "Let's..." was the only word that came from Deniel as he drew Nidhogg from its scabbard. Immediately five red pentagrams appeared on various parts of his body. One appeared right at his neck, the other at his feet, another at his waist, and finally two of them at his fingertips, one for each hand. After a brief delay, each of the pentagrams moved up, causing his entire body to shift into his Black Devil Take Over. His sword, Nidhogg, also received a pentagram, in which it transformed into the monstrous broadsword, Armageddon.

Letting out a brief roar, which still sounded quite human, Deniel pointed Armageddon at Envy using both of his hands, and bending his elbows at a ninety degree angle and turning his body to the side, with only his face and his sword towards Envy. Envy snapped his dragon-like claws on both of his hands, and almost immediately two swords materialized into his palms. On the left was a sword whose hilt appeared to be made of bones, whilst the blade was attached on. The right one appeared to have dragon's skin on its hilt, while the blade was merely a beam of energy. "Come get me...." The scowl on Deniel's face deepened for a moment before he gave a brief nod, "You shall kneel before me, Envy."

    "Kneel before me, Envy!"
Hesitating for a moment, Deniel dashed to the other side of the arena swiftly, and swung from down to up with Armageddon. Envy blocked it using both of his swords, and shoved Deniel's blade away, but made no attempt to counter attack. Deniel brought the sword in again with a swift strike, only to have it parried, and struck again from the other side. On the first side, Envy used one sword, and when Deniel struck the other side, Envy used his other. Deniel brought his blade up so fast that almost nothing could keep up with it, and then back down at Envy's head. The Sin Lieutenant blocked it with ease using the blade that was made from bones and metal, and then pointed the other one at Deniel. Kekkekekek!" Envy let out a brief laughter before his blade began to glow, and then fired an enormous beam of Dark Green Energy at a point-blank range to Deniel. With his hands and blades preoccupied, Deniel was forced to take the blow. The crowd was unaffected by it, as Diabolos put up an invisible barrier so nothing else could be harmed. Once the beam faded, Deniel was on the other side of the arena, down on one knee while holding the ground with the other. His body was giving off a bit of smoke from the blast, and he was bleeding out of the corner of his lips.

"Look who isssssss kneeling now," Envy taunted Deniel, spinning one of his blades in his hand. Angered, Deniel brought himself to his feet, and then used his Shout of the Devil spell. He took in a deep breath, with a small bit of Unholy Energy spreading to the sides of his mouth, and then gave an obnoxious shout, spewing out a beam of Unholy Energy that was even larger than Envy's one. Diabolos's Sin Lieutenants shielded their eyes from the extreme light that was radiated from the large quantity of Unholy Energy, but the Black Devil Himself smirked. Deniel, you have much to learn... Once it all faded, Envy was left standing, completely unharmed, whilst his green blade was glowing brighter than ever. "I envy your power, Nephalem. Kekekekek!" Using his name as a pun, Envy completely mocked Deniel's power, and then proceeded to slash three times with its green sword. Each one produced a huge wave containing the powerful green Magic. Deniel was able to dodge the first and second, but given the size of the arena, the third one hit him straight-on.

A large gash was created at Deniel's shoulder going down to his waist, looking like a scar. Touching the massive wound in his chest, Deniel stared at Envy, who just gave him a sinister grin back. He noticed that Envy made no move to try and attack Deniel in spite of his condition, and that's when the Nephalem discovered how do defeat him. Deniel slowly stood up straight, and then began to walk to Envy. He sheathed Armageddon on his back, and looked up at Diabolos as he walked towards him. "Has he figured it out?" As if Deniel had heard him, he just gave his father a brief nod. As if saying: "Yes I have."

    "Kneel before me, Envy!"
Determining the strategy of Envy and how to counter it was not the hardest job Deniel had experienced, as he knew what kind of abilities Envy had. He had definitely seen these types before. The type that would sit back and counter their opponents, preying on their anger, rather than taking the offensive. He also found that the attacks of Envy, physical and magical, required his swords, and his double blades were more than enough to defend from Armageddon. So with the large sword at his back, Deniel started to walk towards Envy with a scowl on his face. The Sin Lieutenant stayed on guard, but Diabolos in his arena closed his eyes and sighed. In the eyes of his father, this match was already done and over with. At least he's not as dumb as I thought... When Deniel reached Envy, the dragon-like demon raised both of his swords at the same time, and brought them down on to Deniel's shoulders. Deniel made no effort to block them. They came down on his shoulders, but luckily for him, the bits of armor on them protect him. With Envy's arms distracted, he begun his killing.

Letting out a snarl, Deniel grabbed the demon by the neck with his sharp claws, digging them deep into it, and then flung him over his shoulder. With his blades still in his shoulders, Envy was flung towards the center of the arena, without his blades. The demon landed on his back, and then scrambled back up on to his feet. Once he did, he found the familiar grip of Deniel on his neck once more. The Black Devi lifted him up to eye-level, and then headbutted him once. Twice. Three times. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten. Eleven. Twelve. Twelve times Deniel bashed his head against Envy's, and with the protection on his head, Deniel was left unharmed, whilst Envy could feel his skull cracking. And then Deniel kneed him in the stomach twice, before lifting him up with both hands, and slamming him down on to the arena. He slowly drew his sword from his back, and brought it up to the sky with one hand. Diabolos had been too distracted, watching in awe, amazement, and entertainment with how brutal his son was. He realized that if he did not call it off now, one of his Lieutenants would die. "STOP!" Diabolos's voice boomed across the arena and through the halls of his palace. With his sword still raised, Deniel glanced back at his father.

"You have won, Deniel. You may either take another break, or continue." Sheathing his sword on his back, and grabbing Envy's swords to dig them out of his armor, Deniel spat a small bit of blood on the ground. "I choose to continue!" Envy stood up behind Deniel, staggering a bit as it did. His face was blooded, and he clenched his stomach in pain. "You fight well, Nephalem...perhapssssss you can make it passsst the resssst of usssss, after all." Envy picked up both of his swords, and limped out of the arena. Deniel waited in the arena for his next opponent, heading to his side of it. He saw Envy re-enter the throne spot of the arena, and someone else was missing. Envy took a seat beside Sloth, the two of them now revealed. Deniel was about to fight his third Sin Lieutenant.

    "I don't fall for Lust."
"COME ON, WHO IS THE NEXT ONE! I WILL RIP YOU APART!" Despite his words, he knew that he wouldn't be able to do it. As much as he would love to kill all of Diabolos's Lieutenants, he wouldn't let him. Any time he came close, he would call it off. As the gate on the other side of the arena opened up a third time, Deniel heard the footsteps of the next Sin Lieutenant. What was strange about this one is that he heard an irregular amount of footsteps, and they were not exactly normal ones. He heard footsteps in quick succession, but they were not loud enough to be considered running. Narrowing his red eyes, but retaining his anger, Deniel saw what came out for the next Sin Lieutenant. Emerging from the dark hallway came a woman with the upper body of a beautiful maiden, although her skin was a pale blue color, and the body of a spider. Being the only female Sin Lieutenant so far, Deniel could easily distinguish who she was. She spoke in a voice that was soothing and seductive, but not enough for lure in Deniel. "I...am the Maiden of Lust...and you...you take the form of my master. Such an appearance makes me---" Before she could continue, Deniel sprinted across the arena with heavy footsteps, and jumped on her upper body.

"GYAAAAH! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIIIIIIIIIEEEEEE!" The screeches of Deniel echoed throughout the arena, causing both the audience and Diabolos go go silent. Using his fist, Deniel punched the Maiden of Lust over and over again repeatedly. Blood spewed from her on to his black scales, but not to his concern. His rage seemed mcuh more triggered than before, as if something out the Maiden of Lust triggered an inner core of anger within Deniel. Letting out another screech of blind rage, Deniel drew his sword Armageddon, and slashed the Maiden twice. Diabolos held his arm up for Deniel to stop. "Enough! You have--" Deniel stared up at Diabolos, nearly screaming, "SHUT UP YOU OLD BASTARD! I'LL KILL THIS BITCH!" Using his sword Armageddon, Deniel jumped on the maiden's back and almost instantly cut off the spider limbs that held her up. Falling down in pain and agony, the Maiden of Lust cried out as she felt her limbs be cut off and pain surge throughout her body. "L-Lord Diabolos....Help me!"

She cried out in pain for Diabolo's aid just as Deniel jumped off of her to the other side of the arena. He held Armageddon straight out in front of him, as Unholy Energy ignited on his body. "DIIIIIIIIIIIE!" As his voice boomed through the arena once more, Deniel charged at the Maiden of Lust. His thundering footsteps pounded the arena's True Obsidian floor, as rage and hate filled his eyes and soul. Armageddon was going in for the killing blow, only to have his vision completely obstructed, and forcefully fall to the ground in pain. One moment he was charging to kill the Maiden of Lust, the next, he was on the ground.
