Personality: Zaine is a fiery individual whose personality borders on manic aggressive. Even outside of combat, his actions are fueled by some deep seeded anger at best usually causing him to calmly stay out of others' businesses. That said, he has an air of mystery and danger about him that makes for a magnetic attraction for nosy folk within the proximity. Without this air, it'd be a wonder if he knew how to talk or socialize to any extent barring social awkwardness. Nevertheless, he's a fair enough guy, at the very least willing to let people have views of the world asides his own. Zaine is not the type of person to offer people philosophical advice, it all boils down to the simple matters. Then again, he's 14, so what does he know? He lacks the experience that other, older mages tend to have, so his version of advice often tends to be obvious bits and pieces.
When he's not a steaming hot mess of hate and rage, he's known for being quite the versatile fellow, capable of talking with anyone about just about anything. He's very informed, and even rather inquisitive, looking to pick up bits of info here and there, so that he's always got something to say about something. Zaine is young and absent-minded, so he's got his quirky moments where he may say one thing one second, and then be dancing the next. He cannot handle his liquor, and gets drunk with immense speed, possibly knocking himself to the floor with even a single high-proof beverage.
In a combat situation, he's quite the conniving little bastard. He knows that he isn't the strongest around and actively pursues an easier method to reaching victory. He's not a leader, though he has the perceptiveness of such, and he can provide a strong tactical ally with how he adapts to any malformations in the current strategy. He uses his magic to aide himself in combat, since it's inherently a self-buffing magic, and fights in a mannerism that seems all out. Zaine's biggest advantage in combat would have to be his maneuverability, having almost inhuman control of his center of gravity for amazing flips, even impromptu in midair.
In a straight-up fight, no environment to speak of, no tricks to be done, Zaine is at a severe tactical disadvantage. Zaine prefers to fight alone, stubbornly refusing aid from others and sometimes even refusing to help others who, quote, 'Got this'. When he's forced to fight a single foe with many people on his side, he's actually very creative in how to best make the experience a short one, willing to throw, be thrown, accepting buffs, distracting foes, blowing stuff up if he has to. If he weren't so individualistic all the time, he may actually make a good team mate.
So in summary, he's a young man with a bad temper, who can converse about anything. He doesn't like working in teams regardless of how good at it he is, and because of such he's more of a strategist than a leader.

Motivations:
- Get Over His Anger Issues: He has anger issues that he's not proud of, and finds that he needs to best. His biggest issue is that he's just got so much anger, and nowhere to blow it all out on, and is too much of a dick to not snap at people sometimes.
- Get Control of his Magic: His magic is somewhat abberant in its nature, always trying to take control of him and use him as a vessel. He doesn't like this, and fights back, but really the only solution is to make his magic his own, and break it.
- Defeat a Guild Ace: Zaine has anger issues which can only be made worse by someone who gets called a 'Guild Ace'. He feels inadequate around them and actively wishes to fight anyone like that he meets. If he can even defeat one, it may be the key to overcoming his anger.

- Giving In: He fears that one day he'll stop fighting his magic and wind up hurting a lot of people.
