Personality
Joyce is a girl with a compelling drive to understand the way things work. She's good at logical analysis, and likes to use it on practical concerns. She has strong powers of reasoning, although she's not interested in theories or concepts unless she can see a practical application. She likes to take things apart and see the way they work.
Joyce has an adventuresome spirit. She is attracted to motorcycles, airplanes, sky diving, surfing, etc. She thrives on action, and is usually fearless; and loves being a living-in the-moment, death-defying and carefree individual. Joyce is fiercely independent, needing to have the space to make her own decisions about her next step. She does not believe in or follow rules and regulations, as this would prohibit her ability to "do her own thing". Her sense of adventure and desire for constant action makes the red-head prone to becoming bored rather quickly.
Joyce is loyal to her causes and beliefs, and firmly believes that people should be treated with equity and fairness. Although she does not respect the rules of the "system", she follows her own rules and guidelines for behavior faithfully. She will not take part in something which violates her personal laws. Joyce is extremely loyal and faithful to anyone she considers close to her heart.
Joyce, being the perfectionist she is, is capable of being extremely critical of other people's work or achievements, especially if its something that she herself is great at. Thus, she's indeed a person capable of hitting the top numbers in the snarky-scale.
Joyce likes and needs to spend time alone, because this is when she can sort things out in her turbulent mind most clearly. She absorbs large quantities of impersonal facts from the external world, and sorts through those facts, making judgments, when she is alone. When alone, she likes to be left alone and undisturbed- any person who fuckin' dares to disturb her better be ready to face her ice-cold demeanor and sharp words. She'll slice through your heart like a hot knife through butter, baby~
Joyce is an action-oriented individual. She likes to be up and about, doing things. She is not the person to sit behind a desk all day and do long-range planning. Adaptable and spontaneous, she responds to what is immediately before her. She has strong technical skills, and can be an effective technical leader.She tends to focus on details and practical things and has an excellent sense of expediency and grasp of the details which enables her to make quick, effective decisions.
Joyce avoids making judgments based on personal values - she feels that judgments and decisions should be made impartially, based on the facts. She is not naturally tuned in to how she is affecting others. She does not pay attention to her own feelings, and even distrusts them and tries to ignore them, because she has difficulty distinguishing between emotional reactions and value judgments.
When over-stressed Joyce may exhibit rash emotional outbursts of anger, or on the other extreme may be overwhelmed by emotions and feelings which she feels compelled to share with people (often inappropriately). When down on herself, the red-head will foray into the world of value judgments - a place which is not natural for her - and judge herself by her inability to perform some task. She will then approach the task in a grim emotional state, expecting the worst.
Joyce has an unwavering love for working alone, or working only with people she knows well or can trust. She makes judgments about people and their personalities really hastily, so one has to fit in her heart through her first layer of sensory organs. Similarly, when it comes to leadership, she'll only follow someone she trusts from the bottom of her heart. If its not someone like that, then she simply won't take an order- she'll be the free-spirited bird she is and go completely astray--- wading through whatever darkness with her closed eyes. If the role of a leader is imposed upon her, she won't be able to handle it. She's most likely to just throw random words at everyone (Like, "Shoo!", "Boo off!") and send them away from her; thus ending without any team or plan at all. Which, of course is what's gonna happen even if she doesn't send them away; since she's not a planner anyways.
Joyce is usually excellent in a crisis situations. She's a very good athlete, and has great hand-eye coordination. She is good at following through with a project, and tying up loose ends. She is an impatient individual,and is prone to occasional emotional outbursts due to her inattention to her own feelings.
Joyce has a lot of natural ability which makes her good at many different kinds of things. However, she is happiest when she is centered in action-oriented tasks which require detailed logical analysis and technical skill. She takes pride in her ability to take the next correct step.
Likes
✓ Junk Food (Especially Pocky)
There's no solid reason for this, except for saying that junk food appeases Joyce's taste buds. But its heavily related to the fact that the girl doesn't enjoy cooking at all (your typical lazy-ass here) and actually, won't even bother to try making insta-noodles. So, that takes away the question of food when living alone; thus turning her into someone who relies on junk food. Not to mention, when on missions, who's gonna bother to spend hundreds of bucks on royal dishes of fancy hotels? Its like, earning money and then spending it in the blink of an eye. Her beloved junk food is just so much cheaper. And well, she's pretty much addicted to Pocky- no questions asked about that, 'kay?!
✓ Caffeine
Once again, its a matter of taste buds and personal choices. Being a lively and action-oriented individual during the majority of time, Joyce likes to sleep as less as possible. (Of course, there'll be some fuck-it days when she sleeps for 12 hours straight, though). Caffeine does help to get rid of sleep to a certain extent, so its Joyce's second-favourite beverage. Not to mention, coffee tastes beautiful as eff.
✓ Alcohol
The favouite-est beverage for Joyce. Surprising how the three things she likes the most is all related to the concept of "stomach-filling", but if she were to ever figure that out for herself, it wouldn't really bother her. Eat food. Love food. Pray for food. is her mantra. Coming to alcohol, this spoiled brat would love to take the strongest shots, and actually does order the strongest ones when in a bar. No hesitation, bruh. Note that she has a generic alcohol tolerance.
Dislikes
✗ Lady-like Clothing
She finds them uncomfortable and absolutely outrageous; seeing no sane point as to why you need something as basic as clothing to be so damn intricate and horrible and terribly difficult to wear. Its like, there could be a school devoted to just wearing those silly frilly frocks and those long gowns which look like a guarantee to tripping and falling on your ass. And those pumps and heels! Gawd! Let's end this conversation right now!
✗ Make Up (Except nail polish)
A trait that is typical of any tomboy, shared jovially by Joyce. Just like clothing made for ladies, she sees the whole make-up bit as an utter waste of time. Not to mention, she'd love it if people were for more for the inner-beauty than outer-appearance. Her conviction that everyone is inherently beautiful stands strong forever, no matter what the weather be. As for the nail polish bit, its quite a personal reason; but she's always seen with a baby pink layering over her nails and its the one thing that she doesn't mind wasting time over.

π Recognition
Now this is what most mages on the legal side of the alignment spectrum wish for, ain't it? Joyce is exactly similar to those, and knows about the perks that come with a lil' bit of a celebrity status. *Cough* She heard about free food, actually.
π Power
Another cliché of a motivation among all mages, shared by this red-head. However, her thirst for power is not to purge the world of dark mages, nor is it to gain a high position like a Wizard Saint. Being someone who accept people regardless of their beliefs and alliance (as long as it does not threaten her or her close ones), she's never been the type to hate on dark mages. So she does not aim for power to protect the world, she aims for it to protect herself and that includes the people she considers close to herself. Kinda selfish, but yeah.
π Finding More About Her Family
Being someone who grew away from her original family and knows very little about them, Joyce strives to figure out more about the mysterious house of Iscariot. She's not hell-bent on this, but rather, hopeful, that one day she'll get to meet those fabled brothers of hers; regardless of who they are or what they work for.

† Death
You only live once. That's the mantra that has been embedded into this girl's mind and thus, she aims to enjoy that once chance to its fullest and thus the idea of the cinnamon-sweet life ending scares her a bit. However, it's worthy to be noticed that she isn't scared of a natural, well-enjoyed life- but rather, an unnatural and painful one.
† Jail
Captivity is her biggest nightmare. The idea of being locked into a small cubicle with no human contact sends a mighty shiver down her spine. Also, someone who needs continuous movement does not do well in small spaces, right?
† Turning Into A Princess
Kind of an irrational fear, since Joyce wasn't born in a royal house-hold anyways. But its not the idea of regal blood that she hates, but rather the regal behavior and demeanor and hating it means fearing the notion of becoming that very same thing.

Appearance
Joyce is a girl with a lean body that seems to be crafted for speed, above anything else. She has been gifted with a height that is slightly greater than the average, but considering that her body is petite, she gives the image of being taller than she actually is. However, there's a catch regarding her body, which is the fact that she happens to wrap a tight cloth around her chest to be more "flat". This is done whenever her clothing permits it, and one should not expect her to do this if she's wearing a bikini (if that ever happens). The rest of her body is genetically gifted, having the appropriate amount of flesh in all the parts, thus ensuring that no bones stick awkwardly out of her and make her look malnourished.
Coming to her sense of clothing, she'll never be seen wearing refined and elegant clothing that other women tend to wear. She'd rather stick to clothing that makes her comfortable. Her usual outfit includes a loose white shirt with its collar and lower buttons open, paired with red plaid skirt and a loose bow. Over the shirt, she dons a slightly over-sized beige jacket with a black collar and folded sleeves. Joyce also tends to wear several bracelets and has a strange habit of wearing a purple hair tie on her right wrist. She usually arms herself with metal-studded finger-less gloves, which have now become an inseparable part of her attire.
