They say three types of heavenly light one that promotes life like those given by the sun to plants, One that purify the darkness like the ones in the hearts of men, and lastly one that combat the darkness and destroy evil. Rex was a baby born in Fiore to a loving family a baby born in shining white light his mother Layla believed he was born for greatness.Rumors spread about the magical baby that could destroy darkness. A dark guild Tartaros attack his family killing and kidnap. During the first few years of his life they ran cruel experiments on him and found out while it wasn't heavenly his light was like a combination of something holy and sun light. It was called project holy star the goal was to create an ultimate being under there control be able to use against Zeref in the event he was resurrected and could not be controlled. When he was 4 years old began his magic training under Imperius reading, writing, military tactics,combat sparing and the use of light master magic. He was being gromed to be the ultimate warrior. He was a quick study in combat able to quickly handle most test they put him through and by the time he was 6 he was able to hold his own against most of the guild. Imperius was almost like a father figure to Rex as he trained in his Light magic making the magic his own he did nothing but study and fight to improve his craft and make his plans of escape. As time went by Imperius begin to feel affection for the young man and taught him his most secret techniques. Rex then n made his first escape attempt using all that they taught him he waited till there key members was away and he broke out and made his way for freedom and he nearly succeeded but he was over powered in the end and he cause his own weakness for being caught. Imperius was impressed by the power and determination of his pupil and decided to help him adjust to his life there he was the light in Rex's young life he made his light magic his own and as his powers grew when he was 8he tried again this time he was caught outside the guild and he wreck as much as he could of it in his escape attempt. Imperius was proud how Rex had come and the strength of his heart but the guild was beginning to fear him so they decided to finish there plan with an experimental lacrima that they modified with mind control technology in order to control there ultimate creation. and when he was 10 years old they proceeded with the plan after he had tried to escape again and started the operation but imperius who had loved Rex like a son could not see him used as just some mindless tool hatched a plan to rescue him but was not in time to stop them from implanting the lacrima but did manage to destroy the mind control devices an all the information to replicate it. As Imperius was escaping with Rex he was injured badly but they managed to escape and go into hiding for a few years they had peace. During this time Rex learn many things from him about the world and magic but such good times would not last for ever. Rex train for years and years becoming truly strong and stayed a loner not trusting anyone but Imperius. Rex would set out on jobs for money and to test and improve his strength but one job when he was 13 years old would change his life forever day while on a job he was attacked by Tartaros and while he managed to beat his attackers he rushes home only to find it in flames and Imperius fighting for his life he losses control the he unknownly activated the demonic carnage activated for the first time transforming into a demon he kills them all. As he about to kill the last one Imperius yells to him stop and he snaps back to his senses and Rex see's Imperius with a sword in his chest As he lays dying in Rex's Arms Imperius tells him that he was apart of the team that kills his real Parents and that he tried to teach him honor and discipline respect and love in the way his real parents would and to atone for his sins and about the Lacrima in his chest and to promise him that he would control it and not lose to the darkness again and like your light to master it and make it your own. Rex tries to heal him with his white light but it only eases Imperius's pain and allow him to die in peace. In his honor and to keep his promise forever in his mind he change his name to Imperius Rex and sought to train to control his powers he travels to the highest mountains, volcanoes, and the darkest caves to master his magic after a year of harsh traing. At fourteen He meets Gildarts of fairy tail in his travels and after a brief sparing session Gildarts is impressed with his strength and character and they talk Gildarts tells him of Fairy tail and how he would make a good member and above all else there friends and family some like you who have none should give it some thought Imperius Rex leaves Enlighten about Guilds and decides to look up fairy tail
