   Personality: Thanan is the kind of person who, first and foremost, likes to ensure that peace is being kept. He will go to great lengths to assist those in need, but more for his own sake than for the sake of actually helping others. He likes to prove to himself that he's growing stronger by defeating increasingly powerful opponents and preventing others from being harmed. To him, it's almost as if the world is a chess board and he's trying to see if he can win while losing as few pieces as possible. The reason for this mindset is, plain and simple, vengeance. There's someone he wishes to exact revenge on, someone leagues above him as he figured out in the past; thus, he seeks to constantly improve bit by bit each day. Everyone he meets is nothing but a stepping stone towards that goal; he feels he can't have personal feelings towards anyone, whether it be as a romance or as a friend, until he's defeated the target of his anger.

As a result of his less than friendly nature, he has trouble when it comes to situations in which he's forced to interact with people. He doesn't have the faintest clue what kind of subjects people are interested in, and has trouble making friends due to this. Not that he has a particular interest in such things anyway, but if he were to it would definitely prove a challenge unless the person had the understanding of a saint.

Whether he likes to admit it or not, Thanan is also quite the pervert. When met with a girl he finds pretty, he'll often stand in awe of her, taking in her beauteous appearance; and unfortunately for the girls around him, it'll be extremely obvious when this is happening. He is, in general, very awkward around women to say the least.

In battle is where Thanan's "true" personality shines. Whereas he is for the most part stoic in conversation, he opens up into something of a passionate warlord in a fight. He fights through emotion and instinct, doing and acting upon what feels right given his gut feeling. Some who have seem him fight would compare him to an animal in this regard, as his body often moves before his mind has time to think about how to move. He is talented at thinking up tactics on the spot and analyzing the enemy's patterns and fighting style; however, if his emotions flare too hot, all of that will be for nothing. He loses sight of all priorities if he allows his anger to consume him. Whoever stands before him when he is enraged will be a target for his full ferocity and lethality. He can still tell friend from foe when angered, of course, but much of the time he won't care regardless; if put into a situation where he can get a perfect attack off but it would result in both an ally and enemy succumbing to it, he would often not hesitate if driven enough emotionally. For this reason he's considered a danger and tends to go on missions alone after one too many scoldings and arguments about his way of fighting.

Under the command of another, Thanan is willing to go along with their orders but will never fully trust them - he'd much rather trust in himself when everything is decided. He dislikes having someone above him but will put aside his personal feelings for it as he understands that there are definitely more qualified people out there.

As a leader, Thanan would like to coordinate attacks and get the job done to the letter. Precision is key when he's leading a team, though he's not much for words of encouragement or morale boosting. He doesn't care how motivated his team is, because if they couldn't do a job on their worst day they aren't worth putting any effort into.

Thanan is a living embodiment of vengeance, and anyone or anything that gets in his way of his goal will face his wrath.

   Likes:

• Fighting: The battlefield is where Thanan feels most alive. Being able to win fights is what determines Thanan's self-worth, and shows him how close he is to achieving his goal.
  
  
• Spicy Food: He just can't put a finger on it, but the way the spices heat his body up inside invigorates him. Makes him feel healthy.
  
  
• Writing: As an escape from reality, even for a little while, Thanan enjoys writing fantasy stories in his free time. He loses interest in his plots fast, however, so he's always writing up new ones. He'll sometimes even quote his characters when he doesn't know what to say.
  

   Dislikes:

• Dark Guilds: Say what you will about Thanan's way of dealing with things, but he despises any and all evil wizards. For personal reasons, he hates them with a passion.
  
  
• Pessimism: Thanan has no patience and no sympathy for people who think negatively and with an "I can't do it" mindset. They annoy him to no end and even make him feel a bit down in the dumps at times.
  
  
• The Law: On the other end of the spectrum, Thanan also can't stand the people who stand for "absolute justice". He finds their way of thinking flawed and usually dislikes those who follow that line of thinking.
  

   Motivations:

• Revenge: More than anything else in life, he wants to defeat the target of all of his pent-up anger. Before all else, living to see his vengeance achieved is his highest priority. All other accomplishments and obstacles mean nothing to him if this one goal can be realized.
  
  
• Become a Wizard Saint: The only way Thanan can truly feel like he's grown from his old self is to have absolute power and respect. What better way to do that than to become one of Fiore's finest wizards?
  
  
• Abolish Dark Guilds: He wants to rid the world of the "disease" known as Dark Guilds. He'll not be satisfied until none remain.
  

   Fears:

• Darkness: A common fear, and a fear one wouldn't consider someone of his age to have. Yes, Thanan is very much frightened by complete darkness still; more of what could be hiding inside of it than the concept of darkness itself, though. This fear does not extend to dark magic.
  
  
• Dogs: Thanan is terrified by dogs. Even the most tame of dogs make him uncomfortable, but when faced with a bigger dog with a deeper bark, all of his courage disappears into nothing.
  
  
• Loneliness: Despite his preference for working alone, or rather that other people prefer he work alone, he's afraid he'll die alone and forgotten. He doesn't want to have to feel loneliness for his whole life.

Thanan:

Thanan wears a black and green combat suit that covers most of his body. It's designed to protect him from minor attacks and allows for a high range of mobility and quick movements. It is decorated with orange ribbons and badges. The top half of the combat suit is a longcoat that goes down to his ankles, lined with green. The bottom half is a pair of black pants designed for ease of motion. For footwear he wears black boots highlighted with green.

When entering battle he wears a golden mask with red tribal markings that covers the top half of his face; the mask is shaped similarly to a bird's beak. It doesn't serve much of a purpose, but wearing it makes Thanan feel more concentrated; as if he's a separate person when he puts on the mask from when he isn't wearing it.
