Mischievous Imps [Venir/Lekuna]

"Wooooooh!" The energetic girl called out with glee as she dashed down a well worn dirt path. Apart from her almost eerie red eyes the girl seemed to be like any regular child, dashing along with all the energy and glee that only the young seemed to have. Her platinum hair was down that day, reaching her mid back, her white dress flowing with each step she took. Her clothes and demeanor practically screamed civilian but her eyes and the mark upon her thigh said otherwise. In light pink upon her pale thigh was the mark of Eclipse Soul showing that the young girl was a mage, as to what someone so young and energetic was doing in a guild designed for redemption was another story in itself. At least that mark explained why someone so young was travelling down a path that inevitably lead to danger.

She was excited more so than usual about this job, the description of it sounding easier than what she had recently been taking on. It would also give the young mage an opportunity to meet yet another member of her guild. "To think there's still people I haven't met yet!" Unlike the other guild members this one's name didn't spark any feelings in her. Alyia, Kat, and Deniel all carried a sort of familiarity to them while this one did not, which could only mean that Venir had not met this particular guild mate before her memory loss and change. "I believe we're to meet about this spot." The blonde skid to a stop her feet creating a small cloud of dust to go flying up. To be so young and to already be an excelling mage capable of moderate destruction was a tad alarming. Luckily, despite her abundance of optimistic youthful energy, the girl was a pacifist having cried the last time she harmed a living creature. Venir was getting a little better when it came to "hurting" the "bad" creatures but human being were a little different.

At the sound of a voice the blonde spun on her heel to face the stranger. The only way to describe the two of girls was complete and utter opposites. Venir in her white dress, was young, with such light hair that it bordered white, and had crimson red eyes completely different than the woman who stood before her. Long black hair and cyan colored eyes, her clothing just as dark as her hair, it made the woman look like a shadow walking in the otherwise bright day. The only things the girls seemed to have in common was their rather pale complexions. Despite the contrast between the two, Venir appeared to care less. Or rather she was a bit taken aback by the woman until Lekuna smiled. Venir's own features brightened up with a smile offering a small hand out to shake.

"I'm Venir!" She beamed up to the older woman her. She kept her crimson stare on her for a few moments, as if she were inspecting the woman before her smiled widened. "So pretty!" Despite her initial reaction of being somewhat alarmed by Lekuna, Venir was now more or less enchanted by her unknown guildmate. "Such long dark hair!" She had to stop herself from reaching out and touching it. Realizing that she had been staring for to long the girl gasped not wanting to be rude, "S-Sorry!" She quickly apologized before continuing, "I suppose we better get a move on! Those goblins won't be taking care of themselves!"

After giving Lekuna a firm handshake of her own, a surprisingly strong grip for such a small girl, Venir let her hand fall awkwardly to her side. Compared to her other guildmates thus far Lekuna seemed to be more....reserved. Or perhaps it was because Venir was comparing Lekuna to Katherine, anyone compared to Katherine seemed to pale in comparison when it came to a lively personality. Still, even Deniel seemed more lively than Lekuna. "Hmmm." She hummed unable to stop herself from occasionally glancing over at the dark haired woman as they walked. She was unlike anyone Venir had met in her short collection of memories, so it was only natural that the girl was curious about the woman.

As the wind picked up Venir's hands instinctively went down to hold the skirt of her dress down. Her eyes squeezed shut as dust was kicked up, stinging at her eyes and face. "Ew!" She groaned a few pieces having found their way to her mouth making her shudder. "Oh! Thank you!" She took the goggles with glee watching for a moment as Lekuna put them on. oon enough Venir followed suit. While the goggles looked natural on Lekuna they looked almost silly on Venir but the child hardly seemed to noticed and instead was focused on how the two of them "matched". With a skip in her step the girl dashed forward gleefully, the dust no longer able to sting at her eyes. As the two walked with no sign of immediate danger making itself known, the young girl began to talk not caring for the silence that seemed to envelope them. "So you can make goggles appear? Then that must mean you're a...." She seemed to be in thought, turning around and walking backwards so she could face Lekuna as they carried on, "Requip mage?" She guessed, "Or something else?"

"Mechanic? Machine make?" Her head tilted to the side in confusion. Machinery wasn't something she was quite familiar with. In fact if anything one might say that Venir was bad with all things technological, let alone could she wrap her head around the possibilities of machine make magic. Luckily, the slight click of the golden pocket watch had gotten her attention. "So shiny!" Her red eyes practically sparkled at the sight of the watch. Before she could inquire about what Lekuna's watch or even what she met, a new thing had taken hold of her rather short attention span.

"Woah!" She gasped taking a step back as a magic circle appeared in front of them. "Even the runes are different than mine!" She had only seen a few different types of magic, none of them consisting of magic circles like her own or Lekuna's. Where Venir's was pink and bubbly, Lekuna's seems to be darker and more refined like a machine. The spiders were strange to the blonde causing her to leap behind Lekuna curiously peaking around the woman at the mechanical creatures. Soon enough at Lekuna's command they scuttled off and with their departure the girl awkwardly stepped away from the raven haired woman.

Standing on her tip toes, Venir did her best to look at the same screen Lekuna was. Apparently the spiders had found something causing Venir to frown. Perhaps she ought to get prepared for battle as well? The thought alone made Venir wince and glance up the canyon walls warily. "Is everything gonna be okay?" She asked aloud, her voice echoing down the canyon.

"Explode?" Her head tilted to the side and suddenly there was an explosion causing the girl to cover her ears and her head, crouching down close to the ground. The explosion left a ringing in her ears. For a moment she seemed a bit dazed before finally snapping back to reality. She half expected an avalanche to occur but luckily no such thing happened. "At least we didn't get crushed by falling rocks..." The thought was almost comforting until a few screeching sounds reached her ears. "Oh no...."She grumbled before noticing Lekuna had already began walking away.

"Wait up!" The girl called out stumbling after the older girl. Her red eyes glanced up and down the walls of the canyon keeping a wary eye out for any more imps. She could hear the occasional screech of the imps echoing down the canyon but as to their exact location, she could not say for sure. "That was a big explosion." She remarked simply to fill the eerie silence between the screeching noises. The explosion had certainly awed her to say the least but it put a seed of doubt in her head. "Lekuna can do such cool things and I...."The girls head lowered in disappointment, "My magic is lame....."Insecurity was running rampant in her head and heart. "I mean Lekuna surely must be a powerful mage! Easily over my own rank!" Gauging others power levels wasn't exactly Venir's greatest skill, but it wasn't like Venir herself looked like a B-Rank mage. How could she possibly try and fight alongside Lekuna knowing that her own magic was so.....childish compared to the older woman's?

"Lekuna watch out!" The girl called out dashing forward to tackle the raven haired woman out of the way of a well aimed rock, thrown by a stray imp.

"Ah sorry! Are you okay?" She didn't mean to tackle the woman that hard. The young girl was unaware of her own strength especially after having been surrounded by those who were above her in strength or even equal to her which made things a slightly more difficult when interacting with those who were not necessarily on the same level. Before she could get a chance to inspect Lekuna for any injuries, something Venir honestly would have done, the young girl froze in place. "S-Show you my power?" She echoed the older woman, her expression dropping instantaneously. Venir wasn't even close to being prepared, especially after seeing the other woman's magic, it made her own seem inadequate and silly. Still, it wasn't as if the girl could get away with not using her magic....right?

"Those tiny imps look pretty scrawny....I bet I can take it on...." She sent a glance to Lekuna giving the woman a shaky thumbs up and a half hearted smile before returning her attention the chibi imp that had thrown the rock. Each step towards the creature was a shaky struggle, "Come here....That's a good imp." She muttered doing her best to coax the creature towards her until it was within hitting distance. "Please don't embarrass me in front of Lekuna." She whispered as she got closer and closer to the imp. Finally, the young girl went for the attack, "Ahhhhhhhhhh!" Her lame battle cry eachoed down the canyon, all the imps watching on as she charged at the chibi imp with her tiny fist raised in the air. "Take this! And this! And that!" she repeatedly brought her fist down upon the creature, her eyes unintentionally squeezed shut. With some effort the girl opened her eyes, tiny tears having formed in the corners of her red irises, to look at the still intact chibi imp. The creature had hardly blinked an eye at her, no damage of any sort upon its small body. "I have the hitting power of a stuffed animal!?" She didn't exactly work upon physical training but that wasn't her problem, Venir unintentionally held her punches, making the attacks nothing more than playful punched or even a light tap.

Still, the chibi imp seemed somewhat irritated but not nearly as much as the full grown imp behind it. "I-I'm sorry...."Venir apologized but it wasn't like the imps could understand her or even if they did they seemed like they could care less, "Ahhhhh Lekuna!" She cried out spinning on her heel to run back to the woman but it was to late. The regular imp grabbed at the back of her dress successfully yanking her back. The creature tossed her over its shoulder like a sack of potatoes and took off, surprisingly fast. "Save me!!!!!!" Venir frantically waved her arms about.

At the sight of the dark wolves that looked like they came from hell itself, Venir suddenly seemed more fond of her imp kidnapper. "Run faster!" She hit her fists upon the back of the imp but alas it could not run faster than the canines. One set of sharp teeth managed to lodge into the imp, dangerously close to where the girl was being held, and like that the imp was yanked back and with it Venir. The light girl went flying over the ferocious canine and landed on the ground with a thud and a wince. One glance at the other feral beasts however got the petite blonde into motion.

She ran with tears in her eyes, arms extended outwards towards Lekuna. "Lekuna!!!" She cried out as she dashed towards the woman and launched herself at the said woman. At least this time she didn't fly into her with enough force to knock the woman down. Instead she wrapped her arms about the woman's waist, burying her head into raven haired woman's stomach and sniffled. "I-I-I thought I was a goner for sure! I thought the imps were gonna kidnap me and then there was the scary dogs and-"She sniffled refusing to let go of Lekuna, her grip surprisingly tight. "Thank you!" She wailed once more looking like a blubbering idiot, a term that often fit her perfectly. Venir held onto Lekuna for a few more moments before releasing her almost death like grip. The young girl had no sense of personal space not to mention she was also incredibly affectionate even with strangers.

"They're your dogs?" She sniffled once more, having a sudden urge to pet the creatures, they weren't nearly as frightening to her now that she knew for a fact that they belonged to her guildmate. At Lekuna's request or rather command to Venir to regain composure, the blonde hastily rubbed away any remaining tears in her ruby like eyes. "S-Sorry!" One last sniffle and she looked almost back to normal with the exception of her reddened cheeks and a few scratches from her recent fall. "What about hugging-"The girl inquired as Lekuna cut short and Venir found herself cutting her sentence short as well. "T-Two Lekuna's!?" Venir gasped and just like that the second Lekuna was gone, leaving Venir with what she could only hope was the original.

"W-What?" Venir echoed in turn as she glanced at Lekuna before almost comically patting her down, "You look the same. There's only one way to find out!" With that the girl once again wrapped her arms about Lekuna's waist and buried her head into the woman's stomach, "Yup you're the same one!" Her voice was muffled by Lekuna's coat as she spoke. Finally, Venir released Lekuna from her deadly hug before turning back to the imps, "Ah your dogs!" Her voice was thick with worry. "Don't worry I won't mess up this time!" Giving the woman one last quick hug, the petite girl much to quick to avoid really, dashed off towards the imps and feral canines. "I won't mess up this time!"

"No matter how embarrassing this is....I can't mess up again! Or Lekuna won't want to be my friend!" With that thought in mind the young girl dashed towards the imps and remaining hell hounds. Her small hand grasped a peculiar gold bracelet dangling on her wrist, with an even more strange winged charm on the bracelet. "Now!" She yanked at the bracelet and a flash of pink light enveloped her. The light dissipated and in its place stood Venir, a golden staff with a star in the center and wings on either side was in her hands, and a pink frilly outfit adorned her instead of her previous clothing. Slipping a card out of the holster upon her thigh the girl placed it upon her staff, "Include!"

The card absorbed itself into the staff with another small flash of light that now had the imps attention. "Shoot!" Pointing the staff at a nearby imp, a bolt of lightning shot out and knocked the creature down. The remaining imps seemed rather startled but made a move to charge at the girl before they to got knocked down by the same attack. "Lekuna! I saved your dogs!" The girl called out cheerfully hoping that she had redeemed herself. "Let's go find the rest of the imps!"

The scream that echoed down the canyon walls was loud enough to cause Venir to wince and cover her ears. "That thing sure doesn't sound too happy." By the time she opened her eyes again the creature was within sight and just as she thought it was not very happy. "Lekuna!" Venir called out reaching a hand out as if it would help but by then the creature had tossed the woman. Before she could dash off and help Lekuna though something hit her from behind causing the girl to go stumbling forward. "Ow!" She glanced back to see a chibi imp smiling almost victoriously. Then something hit her from the front causing her to get knocked back towards the initial chibi imp. She managed to glance up just in time to see another imp coming at her this one seemed like it was on the brink of starvation, "I need to get out of here and help Lekuna or they'll keep knocking me around like a pinball!"

Just as the starving one went for an attack Venir placed a card upon her staff, "Include!" The imps attack was seemingly rebounded by an invisible shield protecting the girl as she placed another card upon her staff, "Install!" This time a magic circle appeared beneath her feet as the card was absorbed and the girls armor changed into a white flowing dress, a silver breastplate, gauntlets, and armor that extended up her legs. "Hang on Lekuna!" The girl thought with a frown as she placed another two cards on her staff, "Include!" The chibi imp attempted to strike her but the shield also managed to block it. Hopefully her shield would hold for just a little longer so she could properly strike at the imps.

Just as the starving imp broke her shield, Venir slashed at it, her staff having turned into a sword. That imp went down with the single slash done by her sleek long sword. Not letting the others have a chance to attack Venir dashed forward slashing at the chibi imp before spinning on her heel and slashing down the regular imp. "Whew~!" She sighed as the last imp fell before her blade. "Now onto the next part of my plan!" She still had to rescue her guild mate! "I haven't tried flying in this form yet....so here goes nothing!" Flying however had always been an easy task for Venir, as long as she could envision it while "The Fly" card was active then she could do it.

"Ahhhhhh!" The girl flew towards the large black imp, her sword pointed at it. She lodged the weapon into its side causing it to yell angrily turning its attention towards the young girl, swinging its fists at her. Being so small Venir was a rather difficult target to his especially when flying. Dodging the imp with ease, she flew towards Lekuna grasping the woman by one arm and yanking her up and off of the ground, flying her into the air. "My sword!" Venir noted glancing at how her weapon had been pushed right out of the imp, "It wasn't effective at all!" The girl frowned flying the two of them up to the top of the canyon so they could look down at their previous battlefield below. "I think we should be safe up here for now....."It was as if the gods were laughing at the two Eclipse Soul mages as a few sounds caught Venirs attention, "Oh no...."
