History:: Sheba was born into a middle-class family. She was one of the twins her mother gave birth to. When she was born her father left the family since he didn’t want to care for two children. When she was four, three men broke into her house, they first raped and then beat their mother but she died since the men went too far and was abducted along with her twin brother, Jitsu. The slave traders treated her and Jitsu cruelly. They took both in as their personal slaves. The slave traders beat them for no reason sometimes and despite their injuries forced them to do backbreaking labor. In one incident, the slave traders took out a sword on her. Having nothing but bare skin she took the force of it, the trader slashed down cutting her lower left arm and lower left leg. She nearly bled to death, but miraculously she managed to live, leaving her with a large scar.
For a year they talked about “doing it to her” but it was all talk. One day she was beaten up and tied to the table. They tried to rape her but then three mages, all women saved, her. They beat up the traders and saved her. Originally they just wanted to save Sheba but she refused to leave without Jitsu. The reluctantly searched and found him in a prison cell chained up against the wall, half-dead due to illness. Sheba was also infected by the illness but hers was in the early stage. The women brought them back to their family which was also all women and nursed them back to health. They introduced themselves as the Purotekutā family, an all women, mage family who protects the weak and helpless. They invited Sheba to join their guild and forced her brother to leave since the family disliked men because they were usually the problem causer. She refused to join without him, the Purotekutā family thought they would win at first but in the end they accepted.

The Purotekutā family offered their surname to the both of them, but they refused, saying that they rather keep the surnames they have now to honor their deceased parents. For the first year, Sheba and Jitsu were taught their principals and why they choose to protect helpless beings. They were homeschool for all the years they lived with the family. The second to fifth year they were just taught basic education. On her 10th birthday, Sheba was given a telescope and she this fueled her passion for astronomy. On her sixth to eighteenth year, they the Purotekutā her basic self-defense and continued to educate her and her brother. They constantly begged them to teach them magic, but they always responded with one phrase, “True magic comes from within, you will learn how to use magic once you find your inner magic.” Her self-defense instructor was her adoptive sister, Kiley. She had a relationship almost as tight as the relationship Sheba shared with her twin. But on the dawn of the nineteenth year she came to live at the Purotekutā family the same, male slave traders came back to reclaim their lost property and for revenge, now they had large numbers and the strongest used magic.

It was a hard fight. Even Sheba and Jitsu fought, despite the fact they were ordered to keep away from sight of the men. They wanted to fight so they hid in a secure location where they had a clear view of the fight outside and used their skill with a bow to secretly help them. But the original three traders found Sheba. They tied Sheba up, ready to rape her again. One was killed when Jitsu found his inner magic and unleased it on him. The slave trader, angered his comrades died took out a sword and ran it through Jitsu’s chest.  Mortified of what the man did to her brother Sheba also found her inner magic and unleased it on the other man. Fearful for his life, the final slave trader used the magic he learned to nullify the magic of Sheba and tried to rape her, but then Kiley showed up and they fought a long bloody battle. Finally Kiley manage to kill the trader but was dying from blood loss. She freed Sheba from her bonds and died peacefully in Sheba’s arms.

Kiley wasn’t the only loss in the Purotekutā family, two others died in the fight. They buried the body and moved away. Jitsu was still alive and there was little hope that he would live. But luck was upon them that day, Jitsu was stabilized and brought back to health using healing magic. Fearing the slave traders that were still alive would bring back friends they agreed to finally teach them on how to use their new magic. It was hard at first but then they soon mastered a couple of spells.

Two years later, when Sheba was going home one day they saw a women being abused by two males. She knock both men unconscious and saved the women who later thanked her. Sheba later learned that she enjoyed helping the people but didn’t really want to join the family business since she wants to go to new places and meet new people. Jessica, the head of the Purotekutā household and her adoptive mother suggest her to join a guild, but not a dark guild, of course. For a month she researched the possible guild she could join. She wanted to join an all-women guild at first but then she wanted to learn to cope with her dislike for men. Then she found Fairy Tail. She traveled to the guild where they happily accepted her as a member.

Sheba woke up. She was sleeping in a tree. She looked around, being careful of any danger nearby. She jumped down from the tree gracefully. Looking around again, she began to walk. She was only a few miles away from Magnolia town, to the guild she wanted to join. She had been adventuring for two days to get to this town. Sure it would be faster to ride a train, but she wanted to get the full experience by walking there. As she neared the exit of the forest three men jumped out in front of her.
"Well, well look who we have here."
"I believe it's a lost girl. Are you lost wittle girl."
Sheba didn't trust them for one minute. "I am not lost, I am just traveling by foot."
"Well than, I guess I can help you by doing this!" The third man lashed out with a whip. Sheba jumped out of the way and grabbed her bow she placed an arrow in the notch and let it fly, she purposely aimed it so that it would miss his head. They taunted her some more as one of the man kept lashing out with the whip, it grazed her skin couple times. But the feeling of the whip licking her skin brought back memories of the days she was a slave. She fired arrow after arrow. Pinning the two of the men to the tree by their shirt sleeves. The third man, the one with the whip furiously said, "You're going to regret that girly." He whipped the bow out of her hands

    "You're going to regret that."
She casted a spell at him, knocking him off his feet. Dazed he scrambled for his whip but then Sheba put her foot on his back. "Never underestimate the power of a women." She said firmly as she picked up his whip and whacked his head with the end of it. She smiled mockingly at the men who was still pinned up against the tree. She retrieved the arrows both men tried to attack her but she tripped them and knocked them out. "That was what you get for delaying me." She muttered as she continued her journey to Fairy Tail
