Personality: Dave is a rather jolly guy who likes to travel. A baker at heart, he enjoys to cook delicious pastries to whoever asks him for them. He enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and taking risks with things that seem really 'out of left field', which carries over to his style of fighting. Dave enjoys trying out all sorts of concoctions and schemes while he fights others, as something is bound to work and can always be improved upon. Although he loves to find new ways to do things, he is very secretive when he does, as he has a -thing- about privacy. The pastry master doesn't want anything of his to be taken, as he'd want to get the credit for his creations, so he keeps every one of his recipes in a cookbook nobody can find, in his head. It's not that he has an eidetic memory, but more like his secrets being -too- important to him to forget.
He doesn't care if he's being led or is in a position to lead, all he cares about is that he has the freedom to do what he wants. If he doesn't, then he won't quite follow the leader's orders exactly. On the other side of the coin, he's more than happy to allow any members in his group to have the same freedom he desires should he be the leader of the group. Dave doesn't respect anyone who thinks they are entitled to it, rather, he has fun disrespecting people who believe that. Now, if they think they should be respected but do not give off the feeling of entitlement, he will respect them until they give him a reason to do so otherwise. The same goes for trust. Whoever he meets will have his full trust until they give him a reason not to do so.
Dave doesn't believe in things that are too violent. Things get as violent as they need to be and that's that in his mind. He doesn't believe violence is terrible, Dave just believes that it's a necessary part of life and you shouldn't try to pretend like it's not there. Making an effort not to be violent can sometimes endanger your own life, and he would rather be as brutal as he can than lose to someone doing the same. That being said, he does believe that grace is the way to fight. All violence doesn't need to be brutal. It could be as eloquent as poetry if done properly, which is what he aims to do when he steps into a fight.
What he hates is hypocrisy. Sure, everyone is hypocritical here and there, but when someone's beliefs are one thing and they act in an opposite manner, he gets quite heated, much like an oven at four thousand degrees. If the offense is great enough, he sometimes loses out to passion and will simply get into a fight with whoever committed the act. The same goes for whoever he feels as disrespected him while he was undeserving of it. To him, those acts are unforgivable.

- Pastries: It's what he lives for and pours into all other aspects of his life. Pastries ARE his life.
- Other People: Much like the man he had met, he loves people. He's very social and enjoys serving them delicious food.
- Fillings: Custard, caramel, you name it, he loves it. It adds another layer of depth to pastries and he views it as the lifeblood of his creations.
- Experimentation: You can't be the best if you're copying what others do. What better way to create your own things than experimentation?
Dislikes - Fire: Passion burns within him like the heat within an oven. Heat is what hardens his creations and what causes everything to come together when he bakes. It is one of the most useful tools in his arsenal.
- Hypocrites: Not the ones who say they don't like lying and tell white lies, no, the ones who counter their core beliefs with their actions are the ones he can't stand.
- Entitlement: Dave believes anybody who feels like they deserve anything deserve nothing.
Fears - The Magic Council: Dave doesn't think that they help Fiore, he thinks that they have too much power and will one day abuse it in a large way, as they already have in small ways all across the nation.
- Death: Most people should fear death, and anyone who hasn't, hasn't been as close to it as him. He prays never to be so close to it again.
- Baking becoming illegal: It's a frivolous fear, sure, but it suits Dave. He fears that one day pastries will become illegal in an attempt to control the mages of Fiore.
Motivations
- Becoming the best pastry chef in all the land: He believes that it is possible, as he already has quite the reputation in his homeland of Pergrande. But that's not enough, he needs to be the most renown pastry chef!
- Opening his own pastry shop: He's always just made pastries here and there, but one of his ultimate goals is to one day own one and settle down, living a quiet life and serving everyone tasty treats.
- Travel: Until he settles down, he wants to travel, see new things, learn new methods of doing things he already knows how to do. Before settling he wants to see the world.
