    Completed Ray's Magic

    Post by kingray13 29th March 2015, 11:04 pm

    Primary Magic: Writer's Magic
    Secondary Magic: N/A
    Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: Writers Magic is a unique type of caster magic.  It grants the user the ability to write in thin air, via finger or instrument.  Whatever is written becomes a part of reality, altering how the world is made up.  It allows the user to create guide lines that effect those within its boundaries, as well project the text onto a person or object.  For example, if a boulder blocked a mages path, he could utilize his magic to write "crumble" then he would simply will it on to the rock and it would do admit was told, then words becoming reality.  Obviously a non living substance would be easier to effect than a living person.

Ray utilizes these abilities in two ways.  Firstly, being tactical as he is and liking to come prepared, he can use it to write in the air and create guidelines that are meant to be followed.  The way the guidelines work is, a barrier is placed around the area specified by the text written.  Then the circumstances must be written.  Once the circumstances are placed, a reward or punishment must also be added, creating an outcome for the scenario provided.  So if he were to say that who ever in the area blinked first would also sneeze twice and cough once, then reality would shift to accommodate.  Which ever person in the vicinity of the spell blinked first, would sneeze twice and cough once immediately after.

His second usage is more offensive and less trap based.  Ray can simply wrote words in the air ,primarily emotions , statuses, and such, and project them onto other beings.  Say he decided to play cupid, Ray could write "infatuated" in the air and project it on to a person, the person would then feel strong emotions of whatever was written.  Though he couldn't make them fall in love, he could use it to manipulate them into his end game ,I.e. causing them to fall in love. Moreover, if the situation were more dire, he could utilize the magic to cause such things as pain and agony.

    Strengths:
-Accurate:  Pretty self explanatory, these attacks aren't projectiles or physical, therefore , they don't require precise aim, rather they don't miss since they are more of a mental tactic.
-Mobility:  Due to not having to write on anything other than air, Ray can use the spells while running, hiding, or even dodging attacks.
-Speed:  The attacks are instant.  Once the command is written down and projected in to the world, it takes action instantly.
-Duration:  His spells can last a VERY long time, it can be specified in the rules he creates, or held directly by him.

    Weaknesses:
-Speed:  While the spells take effect instantly, Ray has to write the entire thing out before projecting it.
-Rules:   Any rule written must be obeyed by all who are in the spells vicinity, including Ray and allies.
-Reality: Ray still has to abide by reality.  He can't write "I have a million dollars" and suddenly have it he's an author, not a god.
-Mental: The effects of his spells are mental.  They effect targets on the level of over riding the brain.  If he were to project "Burn" on a target, then they would feel all the pain and reality of being burnt, but once the spell ended they wouldn't actually have been burned physically.
-No work left undone:  If Ray stops writing a command then he only has a couple of seconds to resume before the writing vanishes and he has to begin it again.
    Lineage: Knight of Honor
    Unique Abilities:
-Side Project:  Ray can write with both hands, this grants him the ability to also wrote two separate commands strings at a time.
-Personal Editor:  Ray has the ability to write commands to effect himself.  This only works with small self improvements and lasts for only a short burst.  He can momentarily increase his speed to avoid an attack or increase his durability to better stand the damage of an attack, but the effect wears off almost immediately after.
-Final Royalties:  When a written command that damages a person fades, Ray gains a boost in energy and regains a small amount of mp.  Only really effective when several commands vanish at once or one after the other.

        - Circumstantial: This spells effectiveness is tied to the current energy levels of the target. Meaning if the target had been fighting for some time the effect would be stronger, however if used at the beginning of a fight a target might suffer a lower effect.
        - No Guarantee:  Their is no guarantee that the target will be put to sleep, in fact the effect could be of little effect.
        - Unpredictable:  The ability has a wide range of potency, which isn't under Rays control at D rank.  It could range anywhere from putting them to sleep to hardly being noticeable.
