"Ancient Ruins... Funny, I guess this is my first time here... But Why?"
Walking and walking. Marik was lost, at the ancient ruins looking for something. Something was calling him. "What am I doing here... Why am I still standing? Alive" the dark mage was tired, hurt, about to fall in pain. Part of his body was broken, his arm and legs couldn't move, and blood never stopped moving around his mouth "I can't get it... How could this happen?... Why... Why am I still here?". Marik kept walking, trying to stand still. His legs were shacking and his body was full of pain, but then something appeared. A big shadow, moving towards him. A dark aura that didn't let Marik move, he couldn't do anything. What was happening? Why was he there?
12 Hours before the Shadow
"Why are you running? Don't you want to be free?" A man, a 40 or 50 years old man was running from Marik. The dark mage was laughing while holding his umbrella tight and walking through the forest behind the man. The stranger shouted and kept running, crying while holding his right arm with his left hand, his arm was bleeding. Marik gave a step close the the man and in a second, his hand was already holding the stranger's shoulder.
A tear fell from the man's face, a tear covered by red blood full of desperation. Marik smiled "Why do you run?" he said with a small smile. The stranger turned around quickly trying to land a fist at the man's face, but falling. The dark mage blocked the attack by just holding the guy's arm, pushing him and making the man fall. "Do you want to close your eyes? Or do you want to leave them open". The umbrella slashed the man's body, one time was more than enough to take that creature's life. "That was boring..." Marik said turning around and walking through the forest, his clothe was full of blood.
The sun disappeared. A big shadow replaced the light. Marik smiled. After walking out of the forest, the dark mage took a heavy breathing and heard something. Someone, not one person only... Two persons were there. Moving, like if they were fighting or something, maybe with each other, or maybe with someone else.
