Re: Escort Service!! [Job l Solo]
- Myra's dress:
- Josh:
Myra adjusted the black gown that she was wearing. The strapless dress stuck to her body and the front reached till a little above her knees and the back vividly slid down to the floor. The blue roses imprinted of to the dress increased its mesmerizing beauty. Myra lifted her hands and adjusted the bun that sat comfortably on her head. Her hand then moved to slightly swipe away the pink hair covering her forehead. She looked herself over in the mirror once again. “It doesn't look hat bad.” She muttered to herself. She then walked towards the door that was used to enter and exit this luscious room. Nearby she saw a pair of blue heels that was supposed to be worn with this outfit. She slipped those shoes on and exited through the door.
This morning Myra had taken up a job, which required her to assist a rich noble to a formal ball. She didn’t mind, maybe she’d be helping someone out. The pink haired woman walked down the aisle of stairs that led to the main hall of this large mansion. Her heels clicked as she took each step. She reached down to be greeted with the faces of beautiful maidens, but something seemed odd. Their heads were lowered and she could see a tear drop escape of the maiden’s eye. Myra was utterly confused as to what was happening. “So you’re the wizard who accepted the job request.” A deep voice echoed through the room. Myra turned around to see the source of the voice and was met with a pair of hazel eyes. Myra could feel her cheeks lightly heating up as she examined the man in front of her. He had chocolate brown hair and a tall figure. The piercings on his ears were clearly visible. His hands rested inside his pant pocket which marvelously matched his tuxedo.
Myra was mesmerized by the man’s looks but she composed herself. “Yes, I am. My name is Myra.” The words rolled of her tongue as her light British accent added that little feminine touch to it. She waited for him to introduce himself but he simply just looked her over. “Josh.” He said after he was done examining her. Myra wondered if she had made a good impression as he introduced himself. The young woman smiled at Josh to which he growled. “We’re getting late.” Myra was a little taken aback but maintained herself. He began walking towards the door. Myra followed him into the black Mercedes which was laid outside the grand entrance doors.
After a drive in awkward silence and Myra’s failed attempts to make a conversation, they reached their destination. Josh may have had quite some good looks but the woman was beginning to dislike his attitude. She got out of the car and moved beside him as they walked through the enormous doors that led to the ballroom. Myra’s eyes unwillingly roamed around as she gazed upon women dressed in beautiful gowns, men looking professionally dressed in tuxedos. The food neatly laid there on the table as light music was heard at the backdrop and couples swayed to the tune in the middle of the gigantic room.
Myra felt a tug on her hand. She looked down to see Josh’s hand wrapped neatly around hers. She slightly blushed but didn’t make it evident. He walked forward and dragged her to the dance floor. He placed his hands on her wait and began dancing. Myra obliged and put her hands around his neck and swayed along. Josh leaned down and whispered in her ear “If anyone asks who you’re with. Don’t take my name.” Myra was surprised at those words. He then just simply let go of her and abandoned her in the middle of the dance floor. Myra stood there unable to comprehend what just happened. After a few minutes she ran out to the balcony and stood there gazing at the sky. She was hurt. She didn’t want to be left alone at her first dance, even if it was just a job. She stood there for what felt like hours, waiting for the ball to be over. She was starting to feel uncomfortable so she opened her hair to to get rid of the pounding pain in her head. She felt a presence behind her.
Slowly she turned around and came face to face with the obnoxious man himself. She glared at him, but he didn’t seem to be affected by it so she just went back to gazing at the night sky. “What? Don’t tell me that you’re upset.” His tone seemed cold and heartless, so Myra responded with silence. He growled lightly. “Don’t ignore me.” When he didn’t get a response from her, she could feel the intensity of his glare at the back of her head. “Fine. Don’t talk. You’re just an obnoxious attention seeking woman.” This was Myra’s tipping point. Before she knew it, there was a red hand print on Josh’s face. He looked angry. ‘I am done with you treating me like this. You can’t just talk to me like this. I don’t know he reason for this horrible attitude of yours but whatever it is, does not give you the right to hurt others.” Myra let out all her anger at him. He snapped his head at her and grabbed her by the shoulders. “You know nothing about me. I’m like this because my mother died. There is no one who cared about me other than her. And there still is no one.” Myra’s eyes softened as she saw the hurt expression on his face. “You’re wrong. There are people who care about you. Your maids, they deeply care about you. And just because your mother died, you can’t be so cold towards others. I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t want that.” Her tone was soft.
He looked at her with an astonished expression before pulling her into a hug. This sudden act was not expected by Myra. “I’m sorry.” Myra smiled as the words left his mouth. She couldn’t stop her cheeks from heating up. And so, the rest of the night the two danced and enjoyed themselves at the ball.
