Winds of Change [Yugi - Private - Duel] Empty Winds of Change [Yugi - Private - Duel]

The winds had increased over the last few days. It was closing in towards winter, and the air was getting colder. The flat lands let the weather highs pass through without hindrance, allowing for especially unpleasant days in the vast plains. Today was a special day. Yugi had agreed to return to Tartarus. But before he actually showed them the castle and the surrounding city, Lyserg wanted to greet him in the borders of Fat Monsterland. The designated meeting place was the landline where the Lycan Woods start.

He was standing in front of a gigantic forest, a gigantic flatland expanding behind him. In full gear, he didn't exactly know what to expect from an impulsive youth like Yugi Sparrow. Sure, he had founded the guild he now lead, but Lyserg had a feeling that there was something undisclosed in the young man's voice. As if he wasn't sure of himself. And Lyserg didn't know if that was just a side-effect of his adolescence or if there was something more to it. Positive that he would find out however, Lyserg had a good feeling about this meeting. Perhaps he would turn out to be one of the first worthwhile members. Ever since some of his favorites had left, he felt that there were only a bunch of ragtag opportunists remaining that had no where else to go.

Fondling his blade's grip, Lyserg pulled out a piece of Taube and eyed it. Still as sharp as the day he made it. It was wonderful to see such a piece of art out of his own creation in his own hands. Perhaps that was the reason he was so put off of Tartarus recently? Of his own guild? Even though others had founded it, the current one was not able to be compared to the pile of chaos that it was around a year ago. Although... the members seemed more convicted in the turmult of ambition. Something he couldn't comprehend. Had he missed a generation? Was there something he didn't realize? Was he perhaps going about this wrong? Did he not understand part of the current world? These were fundamental questions that Lyserg felt needed to be answered. And perhaps, Yugi could bring them.

Yugi approached beams of sunlight through a forest that seemed to be much larger than others he'd been used too. 'Damn....I thought I'd be outta this 30 minutes ago.'

He complained to himself as he stepped through the edge of the forest at long last, into the sunlight that painted the scenery in front of him. What looked like endless fields; stretched out in all directions around him. Yugi smiled at the thought of meeting new Tartarus wizards that had joined the Guild since his imprisonment; his hand in ressurecting the Dragon King had been well known even outside of the Guild; but Yugi himself hadn't really met any of the new members. Although he was sure there were some older ones remaining, he had a strange feeling that the things he'd thought on while imprisoned wouldn't simply 'go away' after his release.

For some reason, his overflowing rage simply would not disappear; although he experienced a new emotion of true gratitude towards his brother, and those who had believed in him. These feelings and experiencing them truly had changed Yugi somewhat---he didn't know if it was for better, or for worse. His anger towards the Council was still insurmountable.

Spotting the glint of a blade up ahead; Yugi approached. Slowly, he reached the man as his magical senses indicated he was indeed another wizard.

"....." for a few moments, Yugi just stood opposite Lyserg and then eventually cracked a small smile. "...Yugi Sparrow, younger brother of the Ex-Chairman......" he confirmed who he was just off of pleasantries and respect alone. He didn't sense any residual spell effects in the air or wizards around for a ways; so he was aware that he was able to be candid about who he was. However----

"....Although it's truly a pleasure. I'd like to see if you really are who you say you are." smirking, Yugi was challenging the man immediately. "I don't mind spilling a little blood, let's try not to break anything though. Nothing personal; but I'd like to see the might of Tartarus for myself." the amount of magic power in this man was disturbing.

Only those two Dragon Slayers in Magnolia, Heero and Shuhei. His brother, and that Guildmaster from Eclipse Soul had felt stronger; and this guy definitely seemed like his magic power was on that level or near it. Yugi however, didn't care and was going to try and thoroughly embarrass him best he could.

"Either you make the first move or I will! You've got about fifteen seconds to make your choice!"

Two things on Yugi's to do list: Test the might of this man, find the Libraries of the new Tartarus.

Winds of Change [Yugi - Private - Duel] Empty Re: Winds of Change [Yugi - Private - Duel]

In the moment Lyserg had almost decided to leave, a figure stepped out of the thicket. A long robe marking his appearance. Hair as black as the night and an eyepatch on one side whilst the other flared with a golden-red glow. An impressive appearance, truly. 'No... impressive is the wrong word...' He thought to himself as he mustered the man who approached him in a manner that boasted the highest amounts of self-confidence and passion. 'Significant... that is it.' He told himself before re-sheathing Taube fully with a loud click. Woving his cloak over his blades Lyserg stood straight as the man who was supposed to be Yugi arrived. And indeed, it was him.

"...Yugi Sparrow, younger brother of the Ex-Chairman......" Lyserg raised an eyebrow. "As well as student of Lucifer and Warden, the two that you helped found Tartarus. Fire Make mage, son of one of the most gifted make mages in the country. You had a rough childhood." Lyserg added to his introduction non-chalantly. "You wouldn't believe all the things I was able to find in the old Tartarus archives. For a guild with such little organization, you three kept tabs on yourself and others quite a bit." Lyserg didn't intend to provoke the young man, but he wanted to let him know that he was not someone who was misinformed or didn't know who he was dealing with. Lyserg knew that although inexperienced in comparison to him, youths like Yugi Sparrow were a force to be reckoned with.

"And yes, the pleasure is all mine." Lyserg retorted in a snotty tone after he had received an indirect offer. The might of Tartarus... he meant he wanted to test him out? If he wanted to, then so be it. If he wanted to overexert himself, then Yugi could be his guest. On his part, he wasn't going to try and force anything out of him. He disliked putting members to a test. Loyalty came through choice, not force. "I'd rather leave it at-" "Either you make the first move or I will! You've got about fifteen seconds to make your choice!" He was interrupted and shouted at. At that, his face dropped and he immediately pulled his sword, Krähe. Preparing a defensive stance, holding Krähe upside-down, the tip of the blade pointing at the ground Lyserg prepared a defensive stance and measured the distance. Not even 6 meters. This would come easy.
