Day Off [Riley x Dederik

Fiora United Service for Health Activities, or FUSHA for short. The country’s own chain of fitness gyms that take root in any city with a large enough population to warrant one. Within the town of Magnolia its building was immense, indoor pools, courts for a variety of sports, and various others dedicated to weights and gym activities. For anyone who wanted a reliable place to swim, work out, or just keep in shape in general it was always a reliable choice.

“Now zen, vat to do first…”Dederik pondered to himself as he closed his locker for the evening, locking his casual clothes and other belongings in it before pulling on a plain grey T-shirt and slipping into a black swimsuit that reached down to his knees. Leaving the men’s walker room he idly made his way through the indoor pool area, his red gaze idly looking around as a young bird lazily relaxed in his short white hair.

Riley stood outside the huge building that had 'FUSHA' written on it in big bold letters. She made her way to the door and entered. Opening the door, she stood there quietly and took in her surroundings. The building was huge on the inside. It was marvelous, with different courts for every type of sport. There were also places where people could work out.

"What should I do first?" She asked herself as she looked around trying to figure out where to go. Then her eyes landed on the sign that read 'Indoor Swimming pool'. A smile crept on her face as she walked towards the gigantic door that led to the pool. She was kind of surprised to see no one there other than a man. She saw him looking around, with his back facing her.She slowly walked up to him and said. "Hi."

Turning around at the feminine voice from behind him both Dederik and the tiny bird on top of his head looked at the new comer. His red gaze briefly sweeping over the young woman before he turned to face her. Gilbird on top of his head simply closed its eyes and snuggled into Dederik’s short hair to relax more. “Guten Morgen.” He replied in a friendly tone as he leaned back to stretch, his back cracking in the process. “I didn’t expect anyone else to come zis morning. Zee repairs were normally scheduled to take all day.” The man continued on before glancing at the area behind him. “Zey finished early, vasn’t sure if I vould have anyone else here.”

"Oh! I didn't know. I just came here to work out a bit." She stood there staring. For some reason she couldn't seem to take her eyes off the tiny little bird that snuggling comfortably in the man's hair. It was cute but she forced herself to rip her eyes away and extended her hand. "By the way, I'm Riley."

Due to the woman’s smaller size her staring was easily mistaken for her just looking at his face, causing Dederik to tilt his head ever so slightly as he listened to her. Reaching out his hand firmly take her own, shaking it as he smiled brightly down at the young woman. “Dederik Vonkaiserblitz. Since vee have zee place to ourselves, vey don’t vee have some fun?” He asks as his smile turned into a playful grin. “Vat sort of vork outs do you do? Vee could have some friendly competition for zee day.”

Riley immediately smiled at that. "Well Dederik, I like to swim and since we're at the swimming pool" she points towards the pool "Not having a friendly match would be unfair." 

Following her small hand he turns his head to look at a nearby pool then glances back over towards her.“Vell I’m not zee best swimmer.” Dederik replied as he smiled down at her. His hands reaching down to grip the bottom of his shirt as he started to make his way towards the pool. “But zat just means if I vin it’s all zee better~” He called back as he lifted it above his head and tossed it onto a nearby chair. Lifting his arm up he began to stretch them out as he made his way towards the pool, the muscles on his back flexing every so slightly with the stretch as the large collection of war scars moved with his skin. “Loser buys lunch.”

She smiled at Dederik. "It's on. Just give me a second. I'll be right back." With that Riley raced to the women's locker room and striped her clothes. She quickly changed into her purple coloured one piece swimsuit which was sleeveless and extended to the middle of her thigh in the form of shorts. She then walked out of the locker room, and towards Dederik. While he was stretching, she noticed the scars on his back. Her smile was soon replaced by a frown. "Hey Dederik, Why do you have those scars?" Riley knew she shouldn't have asked that but curiosity had overwhelmed her.

Upon hearing the small woman’s voice from behind his head turned to glance over his shoulder as he continued to stretch. “Can’t remember.” Was his only reply before turning his attention to the pool and walking up to its edge. “So… how do people normally race in swimming?” He asked curiously before smiling back at her. “Do vee just swim laps, or are zere rules?”

A little taken a back by the answer, Riley tries not the previous topic further, so she decides to ignore it. She then realizes that he asked her a question. Tilting her head backwards to look at Dederik, she replies. "I don't know. I've done swimming before, but never in a race." She then rocks her mind to think of any rules, but when nothing comes up, she shrugs it off. "Why don't we just race from one end of the pool to the other? The loser buys lunch." Her lips curve upwards at the possibility of free lunch.

Upon seeing the smile Dederik’s lips turn into a smirk as he looks down at her. “Oh, looking forward to our date are vee.” He replies in a teasing tone as he reaches over to ruffle her hair. “Don’t vorry, vee can make a game out of zis all day. By the end of it, you shall be buying me food for a veek.”

Riley playfully glares at Dederik and fixes her hair. "Isn't someone a little cocky?" After fixing her hair, she looks up at him and smirks. "And I think you'll be the one buying me food for a week." She says in a challenging tone, while emphasizing on her words. Not breaking eye contact, she raises an eyebrow. "And it's not going to be a date." 

A mirthful chuckle escaped his lips at seeing her bite back at his comments. “Let’s see here. You plan on making a guy buy you food, emasculate him, fix your hair to look presentable when you are about to be soaked anyways und admired his vonderful scars.” Dederik replied with a raised eyebrow, putting as much empthasis on his words as he leans down so that their eyes were level with each other. “I may not remember much, but zat is certainly a date according to society.”

Riley's smirk is replaced by a hard glare towards Dederik. "The reason I want you to buy me food is because I want free food. Every one loves eating" She suddenly pauses "well, almost everyone." Unsure of what she just sputtered out, she continues. "And as far as fixing my hair is concerned, I do it for self-satisfaction. And for your kind information, I wasn't admiring your wonderful scars, I was just looking at them because I was curious." She slightly nods after proving her point but continues again after a very short pause. " One more thing, I don't care about what the society thinks." After replying to him she crosses her hands over her chest and childishly sticks her tongue out at him.

Hard glares never phased him anymore, he has grown up surrounded by them and egging such reactions out of people for as long as he can remember. There were only two people whose glare could truly send a shiver of fear down his spine, one was long dead and the other was beyond his current reach. So when he saw hers and how she quickly attempted to disprove his statements his smirk only grew. By the end of it with her sticking her tongue out at him her glare likely had the opposite effect than she was hoping for. “Zee very fact zat you are so intent on correcting me just proves zat it could be more zan free food.” He replied as he turned towards the pool and bent down, preparing to leap off when the race started. “After all, people only get defensive wis strangers ven zey almost speak zee truth.” He continued on in a teasing tone, mainly to get under her skin and distract her from the upcoming race. Besides, poking people’s buttons was always such an interesting hobby. Who knows what one might learn when the other person speaks without thinking in reply.

She just looks at him for a while with her arms still crossed, and the sighs. "We were talking about a swimming competition. How did it come to this?" Riley was trying to change the topic and desperately hoping that Dederik would go along with it because, even though she won't admit it, she was out of comebacks. But she was trying not to show it.

“Vell, vee flirted over competing. I took off my shirt und suggested loser buys lunch. You agreed, admired my fabulous body, zen vee flirted more just now over zee date classification.” Dederik replied casually before glancing over at her with a slight smirk. “Zee very fact in vich you asked, just proves zat you are in a daze since meeting me.”

"No, I'm dazed at how over your head you can be." She smirks at him then turns to look at the pool and starts stretching. "Well, I don't care about what you say. No one can separate me and my precious free food." She looks at him with a smile. "So, be prepared to lose cause, The race begins-" she figured out that he might have anticipated what she was going to do."Now!" At her last word, she jumps into the water.

"Glutton." He said teasingly when she spoke of her precious free food. His body was already prepared to launch into action, however a sly smirk spread on his face the moment she said race. When the woman said The Race begins he started to dive into the water even before she finished speaking. The cool liquid quickly wrapped around his body as he swam underwater for a few moments before surfacing, his arms diving into the surface as he started swimming the length of the pool. Every few thrusting motions he would tilt his head to the side to breath for air.

Riley dived in for a few seconds before coming up to the surface. She gave it her all as she struggled to keep up with tall man's pace but with her petite size, but it was difficult as he kept swimming forward. Not to forget the huge size of the pool. She couldn't lose after bragging so much, even if her opponent cheated, that reminded her to get back at him later. 'I'll have time to think about revenge later. Right now i have to win.' She thought to herself as she pushed herself even harder.

If Dederik had more experience with competitive swimming he would have known that as he approached the opposing wall he should have done a kick turn. A turn where he would have went under water and rolled briefly to kick off of the wall to maintain his momentum. However instead he continued to swim forward, his hand touching the wall to prevent himself from slamming into it before turning and kicking off with his feet to continue the swim towards the other side.

Noticing the slight opening given to her by her opponent, Riley smiled to herself as she quickly turned around and kicked the wall with an average amount of force, giving her a strong head start. Smiling, no smirking, she thought that she had a higher chance at winning. But this didn't stop her from pushing herself, she was already half way through the pool, not wanting to distract herself by looking behind to see if Dederik was catching up or not, she continued swimming.

The amount of time that Dederik lost in his inefficient turning costed him the lead as he glanced over, seeing the woman having caught up and gotten a slight lead from her superior experience with swimming. However that only made it even more fun for Dederik as he swam after her, his muscular arms tearing through the water as he clawed the lead out of her grasp. She may know more about swimming than him, but his body was far more trained and stronger than hers. As they began to reach the edge of the pool he had torn away the lead from her and swam ahead, slamming his hand down onto the cool surface as he stopped with a gasp of air. Turning his head he smirked at Riley while pulling himself out of the water, crouching down to look down at the woman still in the pool. "Good news und vonderful news." He began to say in a teasing tone. "Good news is zat you get to see me dripping wet, zee vonderful news is zat you get to go out vis me."

'Normal Dice' :

Riley pants heavily as she gets out of the water. She crouches down trying to catch her breath. "It's.....not fair....you.....cheated." she manages to say between pants before standing up straight and looks Dederik in the eyes.  "And it's not going to be a date." she grabs the the towel that was half hanging from her bag and uses it to dry her hair that had water dripping from it.  She looks at Dederik "I'm going to go change." She grabs her bag and walks to to the women's locker room and drys herself. She then changes into a pair of black jeans with a full sleeves turquoise button down with the shirt tucked into the jeans. While changing, she smiles as she has enjoyed herself. She then slips on her black combat boots and walks out.
