Kocho and Nikolai vs Venir and Daiki

Kocho, Nikolai, Daiki, and Venir had all agreed to fight that day. Venir and Daiki were a team, and Kocho and Nikolai were a team.. They both had been wanting a good fight for ages, and now they would finally get one. So there Kocho stood, in the arena, waiting for her partner to show up. to show up.

An obvious fear inhibited the Draco Mage as he trekked towards the main area of the arena. He hadn't even bothered to put Raika in its wrapping as he left his house. There were chants of both participants' names bellowing from within the audience. When he got to the main area, Nikolai greeted his opponent, saying "Whoever wins, no hard feelings, okay?"

Daiki made her way towards the arena after having decided to join in a fight that she had heard about. As she made her way towards the arena, a smirk would stay on her face, as she was wondering how her magic would do against other people in a real fight. As she had entered the arena, she would stop after getting around ten meters away from her opponents, and would stretch a little. She mainly had to wait for her teammate to arrive.

She would hear the man speak in which she would nod. "I didn't think there'd be any hard feelings here, since it's an arena..." She said, still smirking slightly.

The sound of heeled combat boots could be heard echoing down the corridor duelists used to enter the arena. The clicks and clacks of the running footsteps got closer and closer until finally Venir came into sight bursting out of the corridor and out into the arena. "Whew~! Sorry I'm late guys! I had outfit troubles!" The bikini clad mage laughed noting Nikolai and Kocho on the other side, she was only familiar with Nikolai who she had encountered on more than one occasion. Kocho on the other hand she had never meant, and had no idea what either of the two could do magic wise. The pink haired mage hadn't the faintest idea as to who or what her team mate was but being an amiable person she skipped over to the lone woman offering her a hand to shake, "I agree. No hard feeling and let's have fun! I'm Ven by the way!" As often Venir enjoyed introducing herself.

After that she turned to face their opponents, cracking her knuckles with a lope-sided grin. It had been quite some time since she had last been in a battle, though that was with Zellha who was more than a little terrifying to the female mage. This was also a two vs two something she had yet to experience but was thrilled all the same. She had no doubt her opponents were strong but she felt somewhat confident in her own abilities and her temporary teammate must have been fairly strong as well to have received an invitation to battle.

Kocho began to countdown. 5 4 3 2 1. BEGIN! Open! Gate of the Great Bear! Ursa Major! Open! Gate of the wind Maiden! Mikos!=" Koch instructed her spirits to go after one of her opponents. Mikos folded up her fn, and charged at Daiki. Ursa major took out her claws, and ran toward Venir.

The Wildheart blinked but once, watching as his partner summoned her Celestial Spirits. Without a moment's notice, he raised Raika from the ground and yelled an incantation:

"Raika! Magma-Make Fissure Wave."

He screamed the scream of a roaring lion, or a phoenix, or whatever animal. He slammed Raika into the ground, and immediately a crack appeared, flowing blue magma risen as if though it were a wave, rushing towards the opponents. Luckily for the both of them, he created the crack in such a place that it would not affect the celestial spirits. If it hit neither of the opponents, it would at least crash into the wall, creating a diversion. With Raika still in the ground, Nikolai thought of a plan to actually get some hits in.

"So, what can those spirits do anyway?"


This was way before the fight. When Nikolai woke up, he read again through a paper describing the arena. "Free for all! Fight in the arena today!" Was the paper's general message. Dynamic and subtle. But whatever. He decided that he'd take the arena promoters up on their offer and do some infighting. He took out a pair of jeans, and a white shirt. He hadn't even bothered to wear shoes, as he put white wrapping, much like that of Raika on his hands, so that they reached his elbows. After leaving the guild hall, the Wildheart did some careful looking. But how could he miss a giant coliseum? Anyways, he finally reached the arena, where a strike of fear punctured Nikolai's mind: What if I lose? Screw it. He continued walking, looking around at the battle scars and blood of previous contenders before he found people waiting for him.

Daiki had soon heard the sounds of boots approaching, and would look behind her to see a woman who was just clad in a bikini, an audible sigh could be heard coming from her as she had heard the woman state that she had outfit troubles. She would clear her throat slightly as she had noticed that the woman would extend her hand, offering her a handshake. She would listen to the woman speak as she had shook her hand, learning that the woman's name was Ven. "The name's Daiki. Nice to meet you, Ven." She said, as the two had finished the handshake and had turned to their opponents. She would smirk once more as their opponents had made their magic known by the woman summoning Celestial Spirits and the man having lifted his weapon and caused a fissure that would seemingly not tamper with the Celestial Spirits' charge towards both her and Ven. Within the Fissure the man had made, blue lava rising out from it, which she would quickly move away from the fissure as she turned her focus onto the spirit that had gotten closer and closer from charging her. As the fissure had crashed into the wall behind both her and Ven, she would know better than to allow herself to become distracted and give her opponents an opening.

She would start running towards the spirit that was gaining ground on her, before moving her right hand out in front of her. She would quickly gather her darkened light in her palm and quickly used her Light Gods' Shot, which was a simple sphere of dark light towards the spirit. "Light Gods' Shot!" She said. In which the distance between Daiki and the Celestial Spirit diminishing, the sphere would hit the spirit should it be unable to dodge in time, or have a chance of hitting the woman who had summoned the spirit. Had she hit the spirit, the woman, or just the ground, she would quickly grab her Kusarigama, in which she would attempt to hit the spirit with the swinging weight of the Kusarigama.

"Ooooh she's even counting down! I like that!"It was nice knowing ahead of time knowing when a battle was going to start, that way there was no second guessing as to when it was or was not okay to attack. As the woman said 'begin' Venir tossed out all eight of her marbles, the little green orbs floating in the air around her. "Celetial Spirits?" Those were certainly new to her, or at least she had heard of them but had yet to fight one before. If the celestial spirits caught her attention then the wave of magma certainly did. "What the-" Not wanting to get hit by the wave of burning liquid Venir did the next best thing and rushed towards the celestial bear spirit. There seemed to be a crack in the wave so the spirit wouldn't get hit, so there was no reason as to why Venir couldn't fit in that crack as well.

Murmuring the incantation quietly, Venir used two of her marbles to change their shape and form a spear of sorts. "Ahhhhh!" She let out her lame battle cry as her staff and the bears claws met, clanging off of each other. The wave of magma went over the two, crashing against the wall, Venir hardly blinking an eye as she was far to focused on the bear spirit in front of her. "Crap she's strong." Realizing that she could not compete with the spirit in terms of strength Venir jumped back and away from the bear, with gravity having a lesser effect on her Venir went flying back putting about a yard between her and the bear spirit. "Go!" She still held spear in hand but sent two of her little green marbles forward charging at the bear, each one of the fast green marbles flanking it from either side to hit it.

Spells used:

Kocho loked at Nikolai and said "Well, Mikos can manipulate wind freely with her fan. She can also close her fan be useful in close combat. Ursa Major is a stronger spirit. She uses brute force and claws at her enemies, tackles them, and bites them." Quickly after she responded to Nikolais question, she could see Daiki about to attack her spirit. Mikos was not fast enough to dodge the attack, ad was hit. She had flew off the ground and landed a few feet awat from Daiki on her back. Kocho would take out her chain whip, and wrap it around Daiki's Kusarigmi, in an attempt to stop her from her from hitting her spirit with it.

There was nothing Kocho could do to stop venirs attack, so she instructed Ursa Major to return to the Celestial Spirit world. And quickly after that, Kocho would say the following "Open! Gate of the Flying Light Mermaid! Korrigan!" Korrigan appeared before them. Kocho instructed Korrigan to mimic what Venir was doing with her magic. Korrigan began to forge 8 marbles out of light and made them all charge toward Venir.

Nikolai began to forge a strategy in his mind. If he wanted to win this, he couldn't pull a stunt like he just did earlier and waste his Magic Power. At the same time, he had to think of an offensive maneuver. Then he saw his partner summoning another Celestial Spirit. After taking a while to think about it, he decided on a plan and decided to go through with it, all the way. He then prepared his right arm for a specific incantation:

"Magma-Make Arm."

Immediately a blue magma manifested itself into the form of an arm, roughly the same shape as Nikolai's own right arm. The arm would copy every single movement that the Wildheart made with his right arm. While the Light God Slayer was preoccupied with the Celestial Spirit and the chain around her blade, Nikolai would run in, arm moving with him, and use said arm to create a hammering motion, as to slam his fist onto the God Slayer. He was cautious to not hit the celestial spirit, so he moved until he was behind the Slayer. Despite having a few feet to waste, he made sure that none of his allies would get hurt at all.

"If I take out the Slayer early, perhaps taking out the pink-haired girl will be easy. Damn. I really shouldn't be wasting Magic Power like this, but what else can I do? Anyways, I'll have to of course try to take out the Slayer," repeating himself, "and take down the pinkhead right after. Come to think of it, this is kind of exhilarating."

As the fighting had started, Daiki would hope that Ven would be able to handle herself, at least for a short while. She made sure to focus on her side of the fight. As she had hit the Celestial Spirit, she would smirk, but it had soon disappaeared just when the girl had used a chain whip to tangle her Kusarigama. She would sigh slightly to herself as the girl had soon summoned yet another Celestial Spirit and had the spirit target Ven. She would attempt to pull apart the two chains, but would soon stop when she had quickly learned that it was futile to try and continue. Almost the exact moment her weapon had become entagled with the female opponent's whip, the man would quickly take advantage of the situation and cast a spell that would cause a giant arm of blue magma to float near the man, in which he would take the time to move behind her and attempt to punch her. During the time it took him to move behind her, she would have released the tension of the Kusarigama's chain and the chain which, which would allow the two to become free from one another. With her weapon free and a giant magma arm moving towards her, attempting to punch her. She didn't have much time, and the only thing she could think of to dodge it in the short amount of time would be her next course of action. As the giant arm made of magma came towards her, she would fall to her knees and then fall backwards, so that it would miss her in general, though she still felt the brunt of the heat that had been made from it.

The man had soon spoken about if he had taken her down, that maybe taking Ven down would be easy. She would soon notice that the Celestial Spirit had launched marbles at Ven, though they were made of light. She would boost her speed so that she could gennerally do things a good bit faster. She would straighten out her legs and roll out from underneath the arm of magma, and quickly got up, moving closer to Ven, before exhaling deeply. She would soon face the marbles that were closing in on Ven, before she started to inhale a great amount of air, which would also include the light marbles that had been caught in her eating of light. Though, the light eating would also start to drag some of the light that was being perpetually made from the mans magma magic. She would continue to do so for a few more seconds before finishing. "Ven, you alright?" She said, looking at the man with the giant magma arm near him.

"Huh? Gone already?" Venir asked aloud as the bear spirit left back to where it came from. Luckily, Venir wasn't alone for too long a another spirit took its pace, this one copying Venir's marbles. The spear disappeared turning back into the two green marbles that formed it. While she was intrigued that the spirit copied her fighting style, she wasn't really worried. "There's no way you'll be able to out fight me at my own magic!" She called out to the spirit, her gaze flickering over to her teammate who was getting ganged up on. The bonus to having eight marbles to work with was that it made fighting numerous opponents easy, "Go!" Four of the green orbs flew over at high speed towards Nikolai, and Kocho, the woman not really paying attention to where they flew so long as it helped out her teammate, hopefully they were to focused on Daiki to notice Venir's surprise attack. If the marbles did or did not hit the two mages initially, they'd simply float about the two.

The other four remained by her side prepared to defend herself against the balls of light that the spirit had summoned. It was a bit risky defending herself with only four of her marbles against the spirits eight but Venir was often stupidly confident. Luckily, just as she sent her remaining four marbles rushing forward to meet the light one's, but then Daiki showed up. Venir watched in complete awe as the girl ate up the little orbs of light. "So you're a light slayer!" Venir grinned at the girl for a moment before turning to the spirit urging her own little green orbs to continue head on towards the summon.

Spells and Stats:

Kocho was in awe of her partners ability! It was extraordinary! Nothing like Kocho had ever seen before! She didn't think Daiki would be able to avoid it, but she managed to dodge it with a simple maneuver. Kocho would soon see Daiki eat Korrigan's marbles of light. This, however, did not make Kocho instruct her to return to the Celestial Spirit world. Kocho instructed Korrigan to break the apart the area of Kocho's chain whip that had been entangled with Daiki's Kusarigama. Kocho would think to herself. "Darn! I think I'll leave the slayer to my partner and go after the marble user!" after the brief moment she had to think, she would soon see Venir making four marbles charge toward her and Nikolai. Kocho was caught by surprise and had to do some quick thinking. She started to charge at Venir, instructing Korrigan to follow. While charging, Kocho would brace herself, as she was being hit by two of the four marbles. After taking the damage of the two marbles, Kocho instructed Korrigan to flash a bright light in front of Venir, and she did as instructed. If Venir were to be blinded by the light, Kocho would wrap her whip around Venir's wrist and throw her into the nearest wall. If Veir were to not be blinded by the light, Kocho would stop charging and guard herself with her chain whip.

"Keep your stance. Extend your consciousness. Do not let your guard down." A voice reverberates in Nikolai's mind. It was his mentor. The one who taught him to use Magma-Make Magic.

"I've been doing that since the fight started," Nikolai replied, as if though the mentor was actually there. Although it was just a figment of his imagination.

"If you've been doing that, then why are you losing?"

"Who the hell said I was losing? Don't screw with me."

"What I'm saying is, is that you need to quit wasting Magic Power and think of what the hell you're going to do next. See, there's bombs being thrown at you, and you don't even notice it. Extend your damn consciousness. Exert yourself in a way that is dynamic and subtle at the same time."

Just so you know, Nikolai was talking to himself.

As the marbles rushed towards Nikolai, he held up Raika as a defense against the detonations, all the while rushing towards the Light God Slayer.

"That's it. Rush in while you have the chance. Attack with all your might."

His Raika, being a Legendary Plus caliber weapon, had the ability to resist spells ranging up to B-Rank. He continued running, a resolve in his mind to absolutely win this fight, using the words that his mentor had told him, and is telling him now.

"Make sure they can't even get a move in. You have to be sure to not get yourself killed in the process. You can do this. Don't wuss out now." Words of encouragement filled Nikolai's mind as he charged.

"You've worked too damn hard to lose now, Dixon."

As the fight continued on, she would hear Ven speak. Daiki would nod in response before smirking slightly. She would wait a moment to see what the two opponents would do. As the man had started talking to himself and simply started to charge her, she would notice that the woman would start to have her light based spirit break apart the area of her whip that had been tangled up in her Kusarigama, and would put it away for a moment. She pulled her Kusarigama to her in which she would keep an eye out on the man who would continue to rush towards her, though she would look back at the woman and her Celestial Spirit that were facing Ven. As the woman's spirit had created a bright light, she would quickly start to eat it, though she would stay on guard for the man who had started charging towards her a few moments prior.

As she had finished eating the light, she would smirk once more before using Light Gods' Flare to cause the weapons of her opponents, as well as the marbles that Ven was using. "Ven, any ideas at the moment?" She had asked as she had moved closer to the woman. She would then pull out her Kusarigama once more, waiting for Ven to speak, while keeping an eye on their two opponents. She wondered what the twos next plan of action would be, even considering the man had done nothing but charge towards her. Who knew he was so far away from her?

Just as the beginnings of a bright flash of light filled the arena, the light was sucked up. Sending a more than grateful glance to her partner Venir couldn't help but grin at the girl who had decided to charge her. It seemed however that the girl was not willing to attack her and instead took a defensive position. Keeping an eye on her partner, opponent, and Nikolai, Venir was just thinking about what to do when her partner had asked the exact same thing. Noting her partners use of Lights gods flare, though she had no idea what exactly that meant, she could only hope it was something good. "So two marbles hit her, the other two were deflected by his sword, and the other four are here." Meaning her forms of attack were scattered but that could be worked as an advantage. "We do an all out attack!" The mage grinned her lope-sided grin. "I'll get them from behind you get them from the front." The four marbles that were initially sent to attack their opponents seemed as if they were forgotten. The man still blindly rushing towards them, and Kocho on the defensive after already getting struck by the tiny round objects.

The two little green orbs that were previously deflected by Nikolai came zooming back at him from behind as he charged forward. While the two that had initially hit Kocho did the exact same thing, zooming at high speeds towards the girl who may have been holding her chain whip up defensively, the chain whip still seemed to leave her back open for attack which meant hopefully she could knock the girl off balance to give her team mate a chance to attack. Another two of the eight marbles seemed to cling by Daiki's side, Venir's own personal way of making sure she had her team mate's back. The reaming two marble stayed by Venir's side. The pink haired mage having yet to lift a finger.

Spells and Stats:

Kocho was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Her partner could cleary hand himself, but Kocho was at a clear disadvantage. One of her strongest spirits was rendered useless because of Daiki's ability to eat light. Kocho could do nothing but watch as Daiki would eat Korrigan's light. at the moment, Kocho got an idea! She began to think to herself. "If I could go over this strategy with Nikolai, I'd be great. The next time Daiki tries to eat Korrigans light, Nikolai can quickly gain the upper-hand and attack her!" Just as Kocho had thought of her plan, she could hear the whirling sound of the two marbles that had recently hit her. Korrigan could see what was about to happen and quickly came to Kocho's aid. She blocked the attack of the two marbles with a shield made of light.

Kocho expected that Daiki would eat the the light, so she called out to Nikolai. "Nikolai! Attack! Now!" If Daiki were to eat the light, Kocho would start to charge at Venir, If she were not to eat it, Kocho would rush toward Nikolai to call off the attack and instruct Ursa Major to charge at Daiki in an attempt to tackle her.

The marbles which Nikolai had deflected earlier with Raika had a vengeance. The sizzle, accompanied with a shock of pain incorporated with Nikolai's senses. Although he had stumbled pack to feel the pain of such, he continued to charge forward until he heard the words:

"Nikolai! Attack! Now!"

The Wildheart took such as a cue to perform an attack: a downwards slash with Raika, as soon as he got within touching distance of someone, according to his senses.

Daiki listened to Ven as she had spoken about how they would do an all out attack, and that she would get them from behind if she would get them from the front. As she nodded, she would make sure to keep an eye on both of her opponents as the female opponent was up next to watch. As she continued to hold her weapon, having not forgotten that both of her opponents weapons were illuminated by her Light Gods' Flare, as well as Ven's marbles. As the woman had her Celestial Spirit create a shield to shield her from the marbles, though before she had even thought of doing so, she had yelled out to her teammate to attack now.

Before she really had any time to do any action before he attack, the man would slash downward at her, though as their tell is fairly obvious, she had made her way to quickly dodge it, though the speed of it had been faster than she had thought, she had gotten grazed by it, though it wasn't something that she couldn't handle. The moment it had grazed her though, she had started to cast a spell though the Illumination that was on the man's weapon. The spell, Light Gods' Proximity Mine, would almost sit on his weapon, seemingly glued to it. A few seconds after the orb of light had formed almost on the weapon, it would detonate, causing a decent sized explosion.

As for the woman's weapon, Daiki would quickly cast a spell that would shoot towards Kocho, through her weapon. She would hope that Light Gods' Shot would hit the woman. Though she didn't know the twos reaction times, so she would have to hope for the best outcome for her.

Venir took a step back as Kocho charged at her. Venir wasn't exactly a close-combat fighter especially since her shape change cool down prevented her from creating any weapons to defend herself and the marbles wouldn't do much good against the a chain whip. Still, she did have one trick up her sleeve. The pinkette took another step back as Kocho got closer and closer, her green eyes not once leaving the chain whip in the girls hands. The only things that didn't seem to move were the two small illuminated marbles, that floated a few feet in front of Venir almost defensively though Venir was more or less wide open if not for those two green orbs. Just as Kocho was within distance Venir shouted out her command, "Expand!" Which was exactly what the marbles did. Growing up to five meters diameter and weighing about fifty pounds each the two marbles were like illuminated green walls, that certainly hurt when one runs into them. Regardless of whether Kocho ran into the giant green orbs or not, Venir used her magic to move them forward at Kocho hoping to hit the girl with them.

"So that's what the illuminating thing does!" Green eyes widened in surprised at the explosion that Daiki had created. The girl was easily distracted and it was rather hard to miss an explosion. "That's so cool! More explosions!" She called out gleefully, to her partner, her own opponent almost forgotten for the moment. It wasn't that she wasn't afraid of Kocho, rather it was that Venir was insane enough to forget for a moment as to what she should be doing.

Spells and Stats:

Kocho was watching as Nikolai had slammed down his weapon in an attempt to harm Daiki. Though Kocho then turned to Daiki, expecting her to go after light shield instead of noticing Nikolai, but, She noticed Nikolai just in time to dodge it. Although she was grazed, she showed no sign of pain. Kocho then called out for Ursa Major to charge Daiki and try to tackle her. Jus as she did that, a shot of light came at her from her chain whip. She knew that she couldn't get rid of her weapon, so she put her left arm in front of the shot.

Kocho then saw Venir change the shape of two of her marbles. THey were now really large, and coming straight toward Kocho. "I am sorry Kocho, but I wll have to return to the Celestial Spirit world soon. So for now, I must take matters into my own hand." Korrigan said, as she put Kocho on her back and flew upwards dodging the large marbles that were coming toward them both. Kocho instructed Korrigan to launch her at Venir, and she did so. Upon reaching Venir, charging at her from the sky, she put out a fist in an attempt to punch Venir. If she were not to hit Venir, she would quickly retaliate and wrap her chain whip around Venir's ankle.

Daiki watched as Ven's marbles had grown to a size of five meters in diameter. It seemed she had hoped to hit the female opponent, though only time would tell if it hit. She would also state that the the explosion was cool and it had seemed she wanted more explosions. She would sigh slightly as she shook her head. As it would seem, the woman had dodged Venir's marbles by flying into the air. She seemed to launch herself at Venir after having been brought up into the air a fair distance, due to her Celestial Spirit. She would be attempting to hit Venir, though Daiki would take a quick second to check on the man, whom the explosion had hit.

As the man had taken the hit from the explosion, he was launched into the air and had landed before asking what had happened and struggling to get up. "I hit you in this spar is what had happened." She said, as she started to swing the chain of her Kusarigama, that she had been holding though not using due to being focused on using spells for a moment. She would swing it just enough to get it to have enough momentum to do just about anything she needed it to, in the coming moments.

"Huh?" Green eyes could only widen as a figure came crashing towards her, and a fist launching itself into her. The fist caught her right in the jaw making the woman wince and go flying back a few feet. She was a little surprised that Kocho had managed to dodge her attack and actually hit her. The pinkette rubbed at her sore jaw, little tears forming in her green eyes. "Come on don't cry! This is nothing compared to that one time Deniel hit me!" Using that thought as fuel Venir grit her teeth and glared at her opponent. Once again she commanded the two large marbles to come back towards Kocho, this time one flanking either side of the woman. Still rubbing her jaw the pinkette gave a quick glance over to her partner who seemed to be fine for the time being. Since Daiki seemed to be fine Venir commanded the two marbles by Daiki to return to her side.

The two small green marbles by Daiki returned to Venirs side, in but a few moments. Once again Venir had returned her attention to Kocho. If Kocho had managed to avoid getting hit by the large marbles then Venir would keep sending them back at her hoping to get the girl caught like a pinball between the two absurd objects. Still the pinkette did her best to keep her attention on Kocho and keep her guard up so as not get hit again, because Venir did not care for getting hit.

Spells and Stats:

As Kocho made impact, she could see that she had barely phased the girl. She wished that she had full control over her Celestial Spirit transformation. If she was in that form, she'd be more powerful, but she couldn't labor on the thought too long, as she was in the middle of a fight. She hadn't summoned anymore spirits yet, as she hadn't quite yet had the time. She was trying to find the time to summon one, but she couldn't take her eyes off of her opponents. She had to continue to watch them just in case one of them tried to attack. 

She then noticed two large marbles coming toward her again. She didn't expect to be able to avoid them, so she had to think quickly. "I only have a few options. I can either summon a spirit, try to move quick enough to avoid them, or get crushed." The answer was pretty clear after Kocho went over it in her mind. She would try to dodge them. as they began to move closer toward her, she jumped up into the air. She could jump just high enough to avoid them, but she was high enough to get around them. She fell on top of the marble that came from the right side. She saw that as an opportunity to summon a spirit. "Open! Gate of the Archer! Sagittarius!" After she said that, Sagittarius appeared. He saw Kocho lying on the marble, so he picked her up and jumped off of it. "I shall assist you Miss Kocho!"  He could see the situation at hand, so he shot 2 arrows at Venir, each moving at rock shattering speed.
