Personality: Lets cut to the chase, Barru is one hell of a guy. Not only does he have an arsenal of funny jokes, but he is also a warmhearted fella. He is nice to his guild members, animals, and even random people he may run into. Barru loves to be social, that way he has new people to test his new material on. Besides, his mother always told him there is no harm in making new friends. Aside from telling jokes, Barru loves to please the ladies. If you haven't guessed it already, you can bet he has the most cheesiest pickup lines to his disposal. But like any other 17 year old that has raging hormones, there are times when he can get carried away. If ya hate him don't blame him, because after all, being annoying is a boys job. Barru is literally that annoying mosquito that keeps coming back for more. Not only that, but he is a trickster. He will chew you up and spit you back out if he catches you with his claws.

After everything that has already been said, you wouldn't be able to believe that Barru can get to business. The only time this rascal is ever serious is when his guild is tied up with something or his daily meals have gone spoiled. With those kind of circumstances, Barru would raise hell upon everyone. But wait, there is more! Barru actually has a split personality. Burping happens to be the trigger of his split personality, and whenever his split personality comes out, it is completely opposite to the original.

Barru thinks of himself as a worthy opponent to any challenger. Despite the fact that he would use the easiest tricks in the books, or be cocky, and even tell lies, he still thinks he can put up a decent fight. He would never give up on a fight to protect the people he loves, because he is a proud member of Fairy Tail. The very name of his guild gives him the strength to carry on. Barru knows he may be troublesome at times, and never follows instructions he is given, but that doesn't stop him from fighting for what he believes in. Some may see it as being hardheaded, but Barru would rather be hardheaded than giving in to an opponent.

The devilish rascal couldn't imagine himself as a leader. Because of all the crazy shenanigans that he has done, Baru isn't a perfect example to follow. Besides, he wouldn't want to lead a group of disciples to their doom with his dull split personality. No one likes a party pooper, so why be one. Honestly, Barru may not even have the time to lead a group of disciples. He would rather spend his time working on new jokes, pleasing the ladies, or eating some good grub.
