Tatsu&MinhTheMage Tutorial Job

Ah, it was a fine day in Magnolia town it was! The birch were chirping and soaring across the wide and clear blue skies, the people were going about their daily routines of shopping, work and other things. Kids were playing out in the streets and the local wizards were...well being wizards. Among these gifted magical beings was Tatsu Hirasowa, a lightning wizard whose travels brought him from a far away land to the lush and vibrant city of Magnolia. He had been searching around window shopping for nothing in particular. He spent hours doing so, the town was quite large, almost a labyrinth to anyone who was new to such an environment, but luckily Tatsu was aided by the help of a town map he had purchased from one of the vendors at the city entrances. Walking along with one hand dug into his pocket and the other holding up the map, the young man couldn't help but think "Just what am i doing here? This place seems pretty nice and all, but there is not a guild to be seen...". His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of his stomach growling "rreeagghhrr" it sounded. The boy gave a slight frown as he walked along, feeling regretful at the fact he forgot to pack any extra snacks for his adventure, but fortunately the man was now without Jewel. Reaching down he felt the bag that was tied around his belt, it still felt heavy so he certainly had enough to get a bite to eat, his stomach growled again with impatience. "i think i saw a restaurant a few buildings back" he said, thinking out loud. Without another moments notice the boy did a complete 180, and turned right around, accidentally bumping right into a person who was walking not too far behind him.

The day so far had been grand for traveling, a young man who had just made his return to the town of Magnolia, took a look about at everything with a wide smile. Being a nomad of sorts for all of his life until now, he never stayed in one place for too long and took to exploring the world and beyond whenever he could, but this time around, he has came here for a more permanent purpose in life. This was the story of an Earth Mage by the name of Minh whom was accompanied by a pet sparrow, named appropriately Cheepie, that took to resting upon his head, cheeping happily to everyone who passed by. Before Minh knew it, he had a small line of children trailing him ever curious of the cheerful bird on his head.

It was then that he heard a loud stomach rumbling from the person in front of him and reached out to pat him on the shoulder to get his attention because Minh had brought along a small pack of food for himself which he could share. Though before he could, said person had done a very quick turn careening into him. With children at his back, he was unable to move back from being bumped but was glad that he hadn't dropped anything. "Hello there, Sir, sorry for getting in your way." Minh smiled brightly while Cheepie waved a wing and cheeped cutely at him. "I was just wondering if you were hungry because I heard the rumbling of a stomach. I hope you take a liking to smoked meats, sweet bread rolls, some greens and cheese I picked up from helping someone." While this would be a relief for the Lightning Mage, it was also noted that in a bustling place like this with noises and many distractions about, this rather nice, rugged looking individual was able to hear the rumble of a stomach clearly as if it was something of the norm.

Tatsu stumbled back a few steps after taking on that rather random, and quite cliche collision with the man on the street. After collecting himself the young wizard took the time to observe what was before him...a man with a bird on his head being trailed by a line of children, if he didn't know any better he would assume he was being followed by the pied piper himself, but of course that was just a fairy tail. Tatsu listened to the mean as he spoke and said this in return: "Oh no no, I'm the one who should be saying sorry, i should have looked where i was going" he said with a slight laughter of embarrassment. Tatsu looked as the man began to offer him some food, was his stomach really that loud? Tatsu began to think on the offer, it didn't seem to polite to take this travelers food...then again it wouldn't be polite to decline his offer now would it? Tatsu opened his mouth to voice his opinion but as the words were going to escape his lips, the young mans stomach interrupted, having something to say about the matter. "rrooooaarrrghh" , it interrupted. Tatsu placed a hand on his stomach and gave a bit of a sigh "Thank you that would be very appreciated...uh My name is Tatsu Hirasowa by the way, what is your name?" Tatsu asked trying to mask the embarrassment he had for himself and his very enthusiastic stomach. The wizard dug his hands into his pockets and began to think for a moment then spoke up again. "Uh say you wouldn't happen to know where there's a wizard guild around here would you? You see, ive been traveling for quite some time in search of one and ive gotten a few leads but im not all too sure"

Minh was rather off-putting due to how nice he was to Tatsu, and he wouldn't be surprised if the man before him declined his offer. Such niceness was rare to find in a person, much less one that looks like he can handle himself in a fight. Though his joyful, happy expression showed more of this warming side of Minh, he wasn't always like this but his more isolated self usually was reserved for his time on the road. For now, he was still his jolly self, and the man would answer Tatsu's questions. "I can direct you to the legal guilds about here, mainly because I've been here for a longer time and went about helping a lot of people here as well which also helps to get one familiar with their new surroundings. If you want, I can escort you right there rather than giving mere directions, and I also think it would be best to contend to that poor stomach of yours which has been growing up a lot." With that said, Minh then opened up his bag more so Tatsu could grab the food much easier to eat. For a small space, there was quite a number of food items in there as well as some  herbal material. Well, he was also an adept traveler so it would make sense why he would pick up on such things in the case that he would require herbs for healing or something else entirely. Whatever the case, Tatsu now had food and a friendly face to converse with for the day. "So, why are you looking to join a guild? Got a good reason to be doing so?"

Tatsu reached into the bag and began to eat, taking the Monk up on his offer. He bowed his head in thanks and continued to munch on whatever it was that he had first pulled out, which was quite tasty as a matter a fact. When he was finished gulping down his food he put his hands in his pockets.  "That would be really appreciated, you see im a starting Wizard and im looking for a place where i can take up any jobs possible that would help my further my skills in magic, plus ive been aching for a fight since i left my home a few months ago" he said sort of babbling to himself for a moment, almost recollecting what he was leaving for in the first place.  The boy then took the time to look at the monk before him, he seemed to be quite strong looking as well, then the lingering question began to enter his mind.  "Say, you wouldn't happen to be a fighter would you, or even a wizard?" he asked , his voice clearly starting to be a bit rushed. He hoped his intuition would prove true, it had been quite some time since the young man had the chance to test his skills in combat, especially against another wizard, the last time he got into a battle was with some mere petty thieves, who didn't prove to be much of a challenge at all, but it seemed evident that his Monk knew what he was doing, or at least Tatsu hoped he did. "If you wouldn't mind, would you be interested in a little spar, im only a D ranked Wizard but i can still put up a pretty good fight" Tatsu explained as he took his hands from his pockets and crossed his arms.

Minh looked upon Tatsu with a raised eye as if he was taken aback by the suggestion from from the mage, and it was quite obvious that Minh was not someone who was willing to trade blows with a fellow friend who was not even close to a foe. Even if it was just sparring, Minh always wan reluctant to actually go on the offensive in fear of accidentally harming the other person severely. This restrained behavior had its roots even way back then when he had spent his youth in the Monastery, always showing excellent prowess in combat yet not willing to test it against another unless he had a solid reason to. "Well, I am a what you would call a mage as well, and as for a spar..I would agree if we were to not use our magic and keep it at a sparring level. Truth be told, I am not a person keen on attacking another willingly even if it is more something like practice. Ever since I fought my first sparring matches as a teen, I found that I was a brutal fighter in combat. Even when those battered by me gave me encouragement and a warming smile, I did not wish to bring about so force ever again unless needed. My fears of accidentally injuring someone had always lingered since, so if you would respect my decisions to fight you defensively and with my own forms of limiters." Tatsu can now see clearly that his plain clothing had been strengthened to the toughness of leather but also weighted down greatly upon him like a bodily burden.

Tatsu frowned and crossed his arms looking at the man, it seems he had been offended in some way. "What do you take me for? Some fledgling? You dont have to worry about me, I can handle anything you throw at me, i may be a bit new with magic but i can definitely fight"  Tatsu said with a much more stern voice than before "I'm fine with not using any magic, you just make sure you let me know when you've had enough"  the boy said, setting his bag down to the side.  On lookers began to set there gaze upon the two, it wasn't uncommon for two wizards to begin combat, however it was strange to see them not actually using any magic. Not long after a few guards began to run up to the two wizards  "Hey there you two, just one moment! Before you start acting all crazy and destroying this place let us set the boundaries so nobody gets hurt! We'll be watching you!!" one of the guards ordered. The direction was simple enough, the last thing Tatsu wanted to happen was for some innocent person to get hurt, and he was sure the monk felt the same way, even if tatsu did think he was boasting a bit.

After the guards began sending people back to give them space tatsu took a look around. He didn't think there would be an audience, but it did not split his focus, if anything it made him more motivated. Truth be told he was a bit of a show off at times. Now that the two wizards had the whole central square to themselves, Tatsu walked away taking one side for himself, expecting Minh to take the other. "Im ready when you are Mr.Monk" the boy said, getting into a fighting stance.

Minh could only smile lightly at the man's reaction to his words because he was not meaning to cause insult at all, but the reaction itself was very amusing to say the least. Apparently this was something who claimed they can hold their own in a hand-to-hand brawl, and who was he to not believe this person's words, they seemed honest enough. Now seeing that this spar was inevitable much to his discomfort, Minh decided to go along with it taking it more of a challenge. "Prepare yourself then friend..." With that said, Minh immediately jumps into combat from his position opposite of Tatsu. His approach was steady and slow, knowing that reaction speed was better saved for a much closer starting point, and Tatsu can see from his eased posture and strong leg stance that he was on the defensive for this approach. His arms were also kept together as well to act quickly upon any attack coming for him. That was in combination with his lowered stature, providing even less openings or anything similar to be used against him.

The style of combat he was showing was not one specific one but more likely a myriad of different arts, each with a characteristic that was showing in Minh's combating form. Most likely, whatever his fighting was like, it was going be something very adaptive and troublesome to say the least. Though, with his build, it can also be very aggressive with the guise of defense or visa versa. In truth, only when blows are traded shall everything be seen for what it is, but until then, all that is clear that this was a fight between two adept fighters quite capable for their age and level.
