    Click, clack, click, clack....

The sound of high heels hitting the ground in the Endless Hallway was somewhat mesmerizing, addicting. One could stand there and listen it for hours, not even suspecting the peril approaching his way, for the Endless Hallway seemed a calm place with just a big enigma, when it was a place of terror, of horror, of hellish creatures unleashed, ready to attack their prey... Yet again, despite the given conditions and perils, the Endless Hallway had not been sealed, and was open for the mages of little knowledge to visit it, and attempt to reach its end, not even suspecting that what awaited them was not just a big walk, but hell unleashed...

However, there were those that, even despite knowing the secret perils of the endless hallway, ventured inside it, proving to be either incredibly brave or rather stupid. Those who ventured inside the Endless Hallway without the proper equipment and perfect medical conditions wounded up dead, their blood spilling on the floor, tainting it red, or dragging themselves towards the exit, at the very point of dying, leaving a trail of blood behind. The girl that was walking through it now, however, did not have any weapons, or not in her hands, at least. She was wearing skinny jeans, high boots on heels and a white boat neckline shirt. Hands in her pockets, she seemed rather careless while she traversed the Endless Hallway leaving the entrance not too far behind her. Perfect conditions, eh? A voice sounded in her head, causing the raven haired Pillar of Savage Skull to grin. Of course. Just the perfect conditions.

Leaving the Endless Hallway, the girl leaned against the entrance, eating a pocky while waiting for one person in particular. Do you think that your minion will come? Maybe he got scared and decided not to do so. You didn't specify much in the letter, except that you needed his assistance in a task. The voice souned yet again, causing Janna to rise her eyebrow. Sanguinis, the Sanguine Dragon who lived inside her head, was just like that; an arse. Always mean and doubtful, Sanguinis seemed like the less useful Dragon for one to share a body with, yet his rarity and abilities were incredible, making him unsurpassed in power by many other Dragons.

He'll come, San. I'm sure of it; for my pillarmembers are everything, but cowards.

The wind blew hard outside of the thick stone room, as it came howling in through the single cracked window inside of the room. Mathurin stood up off his make shift bed, Stretching lightly before scratching his scalp lightly. Compiling a thick blanket on top of a pile of leaves gathered from outside the warn building. He looked back down upon his bed,to see Aimi sleeping quietly wrapped in a ball."Heh..Lazy bum." Mathurin said in a soft whisper to himself as he smiled. He strolled over to the one piece of furniture in the room, a solid oak wooden desk and matching chair. On top of it were a few books scattered around as well as the recent issue of Sorcerer's Magazine. Not really an avid reader, he still found it vital to know the little on goings of the legal mages. He reached down to grab a black t-shirt from his desk and pulled it over his head. The dark mage pulled out on of his herbal cigarettes to smoke, as he simultaneously walked out side of the stone room. As he entered into the hall way, he stopped and began to light his cigarette. Peering down both empty hallways, he looked up before blowing out the smoke. Mathurin made his way outside of the humble stone home in the middle of the forest. He had been camping out here for the last week after receiving word about his upcoming exam. The stone building was located but moments from the Endless Hallway

"Aye.....I hope im not late for the exam." Mathurin said lazily as he started pacing down the the forest to meet up with his Pillar Head. He began to wonder about the Endless Hallway, as he only knew rumors about it from other guild mates. However even Mathurin knew to take what they said about it with a grain of salt. The forest was quiet and dead, not a sound other than the soft rustling of Mathurin's feet on to the leaves. He continued to billow smoke as if he was a train, making his way to his destination. Before long Mathurin was able to make out a distinct figure up ahead. Slightly nervous, although more excited, Mathurin ran his thumb around his gold ring with a bright emerald on the top before proceeding towards the figure."Hey...Janneline." Mathurin said coolly as he approached the dark haired woman, who seemed to have been awaiting him."Sorry I'm uhh...late, I was busy with..stuff" Mathurin admitted unto his Pillar head, still unsure if he was even remotely late or not. He figured it was best to just apologize in case he did happen to over sleep.

Post by Janneline Ariel 21st January 2015, 8:24 am

Hearing a new, cold voice coming from next to her, the raven-haired woman turned to her pillar member, running her eyes through his complexion quickly. She did not know much about him, except his name, for Janna had never really shown much interest in meeting her pillar members on non-official guild matters. She was not one of the very social guildmembers; quite the opposite, one could describe her as cold, aloof and unnaproachable, an asocial girl who showed no care for anyone else and only cared about her own well-being, which, to a certain extent, was true.

Good day. I'm glad to see you came. She replied about as coldly as Mathurin had adressed her. Turning her head to Mathurin, Janna inhaled deeply, preparing to speak yet again, searching for the accurate words in which to express the task she was about to give Mathurin. You must be wondering why I brought you here. Well, just as I stated in the letter I sent you, I will need your assistance in something, although, well, let's say it's more of a test than a task. Grinning, Janna got away from the wall, walking towards the entrance of the Endless Hallway, patting the wall with her hand. This, as you already must know, is the Endless Hallway. In it lay many ferocious beasts, although not many know this. Upon investigation, I discovered that an old... friend of mine, Andariel, the Arachnid queen, has escaped from Reyold's Monster Pit, seeking vengeance upon me because I defeated her once. I defeated her yet again, and threw her inside the Endless Hallway. Damn insane was that woman, yo. Arachnid queen... More like insane queen, in my oppinion... Sanguinis' voice resonated through Janneline's head, making her sigh and stop speaking for a second. I noticed that you have been attending jobs and becoming stronger and stronger, which led me to the decision to make you go thorough a test. You will have to prove your strength and that you belong to my pillar by entering the Endless Hallways and defeating Andariel. She is wounded, yet still perillous. As proof that you did indeed defeat her, I want her head. Understood? You, of course, can disobey me and deny this request; However, that will be a proof to me that you are not loyal to me, and... well. My pillar is the hunting pillar for a reason, Mathurin.

Stepping away from the entrance, Janna motioned with her head for him to enter. Now is the time for you to prove your loyalty and strength, Mathurin. Regardless if you enter or not, Good luck. You'll need it.

OC; Okay Math. Your exam begins here. I want one post with 1000 Words or Several posts, the word count of all of which is equal or supperior to 1000 when summed. Your task is to go and defeat Andariel, the Arachnid queen. For appearance description, you can write Andariel from Diablo II in Google. She is a C Ranked enemy, and requires 6 hits of D Ranked damage in order to be defeated. You may describe the Endless Hallway as you wish, you can even describe yourself finding Jewels, or fighting other enemies, I just want Andariel's head brought to Janna at the end of the post and 1000 Words as Word count.

Off you go, and Good luck!

Mathurin listens intently on the directions given to him by his pillar head Janneline, absorbing every word as she spoke them. As she made her way down the Endless Hallway, he shadowed behind her looking down the never ending hall. Slowly pacing forward, he began to rummage into his chest pocket, pulling out one of his last lingering herbal cigarettes left."An...dariel" Mathurin spoke softly to himself, as he repeated the spider queen's name to himself. Unsure if he heard the name before, Mathurin placed it inside his memory bank for when the time was right." Aye, I understand." Mathurin said towards Janneline, without looking towards her. She stood slightly to his right, and within his peripheral vision. However he was staring idly down the entrance to the Endless Hallway, engulfed in the darkness contained within. He removed the cigarette from his pocket and placed it in his mouth, before lighting it. He took a soft and smooth pull from the herbs contained within."Feel free to wait up....I wont be long." Mathurin said to her as he exhaled his smoke, and walked forward simultaneously. Leaving behind him a large cloud of smoke and an amazing aroma. Immediately upon walking into the Hallway, he could feel a distinct dark and evil aura that seemed to envelope the entire hall. No doubt this frightened others, perhaps even terrified them to no end. However this aura was all too familiar to Mathurin, and paled in comparison to the own evil that dwell within his soul. In fact, this aura only seemed to boost his moral if anything. The feeling was similar to that of a child wrapped in his mother's embrace. For Darkness seemed to be the only thing to nurture this young mage.

    *crack*...*crunch*....

The sounds of the scattered bones loitering the hall, echoed in the stillness under the weight of Mathurin's feet. He simply smiled and continued to walk, his visibility slightly hindered, from the very dim lighting. Continually pulling on his cigarette, he moved about the hall, truly unsure of where to even go. Before leaving the entrance room, he took a moment to turn backwards. He knew regardless of the strength of this spider queen, his biggest threat to his survival was the Hallway itself. Mathurin refused to come all this way, and fall short of his life's goals, and at such a weak state of existence still. Refusing to remain weak, Mathurin faced forward once again and proceeded to move into the next room, memorizing every step along the way.

The sounds of Mathurin's thick leather boots lightly pacing through out the hall was all one would hear. That, and the occasional scurrying of a rat or other form of rodent. Mathurin finished his cigarette and flicked the remaining remnants of it into the barely lit room, as he moved into yet another. Mathurin could feel a presence watching him, as if attempting to stalk their prey. His blood began to rise in temperature as the excitement began to course through his veins.
"No..no, calm down.....yea." Mathurin said with a sly smile, as he stood there for a moment, to patiently remain calm. Unbeknown to the stalker, this game of cat and mouse would soon change the roles between them. Calmly, and with a cool unchanged attitude, Mathurin continued to look about casually acting unaware of the presence following him in the distance. As he moved to the corner of the room, he looked around. Looking to his left he did not notice what was directly in front of him,as he bumped into a solid stone statue."Ow....what the hell.." Mathurin said out loud as he cursed the fool who would build such a thing. The stone was a statue of a great ape reaching only 6 inches lower than Mathurin in height. Slightly mesmerized by the weirdly placed statue and its meaning, Mathurin stared at it for a moment. His eyes wondered downward as he noticed an amulet wrapped around the monkey's neck. The amulet was beautifully crafted of magnificent gold, that shone even in this dark room. The amulet was encrusted with incredibly deep blood red rubies, that looked completely black inside the Hallway. Mathurin mezmerized, removed the necklace, and placed it inside his chest pocket.

    "A fool...and a thief"

The voice sweeps over Mathurin, like a cool, cold wave of the ocean's tide. Standing straight up, Mathurin turned around slowly, but briskly to face the one who dared call him a fool."My, my.. I assumed i had plenty of time left with you following me about before the final show down." Mathurin said as he smirked slyly towards the creature. His jaw slightly dropped at his surprise of the spider queen's appearance. She was not at all, how she appeared in his mind and he was left feeling slightly flabbergasted. Before him stood a being more woman, than spider. She had bright red hair, that could be seen vividly in the darkness, as if it were a large flame. She was beautiful, however he eyes were colder than the midnight wind, staring deep into Mathurin's eyes. He stared back into her's, not wavering during the initial stare down between the two. She wore no clothing, and he fought all attempts to stare downwards at her over bearing breasts with chains.

"Oooo.. Well Aren't we the brave little soldier... ke ke ke"

The spider queen laughed maniacally as she inched closer and closer towards Mathurin closing the distance between them. Mathurin noticed this, and simply laughed in chorus with her to her surprise. However the bigger surprise, was when he began to take a few steps towards he as well. He was either a fool indeed, or quiet confident in himself. The queen instantly bolted towards Mathurin slashing at him with spider like limbs from her back. Quickly Mathurin tucked and rolled, nearly being swiped by the quick leg. Although he was able to avoid the slash, the leg made contact with the stone wall behind him, leaving a small crater inside it. Her attacks were indeed powerful, and something he should not take lightly. The spider queen leaped several paces backwards while laughing at Mathurin all in one act.

"Your gonna have to do better than that!"

She began a barraging onslaught towards Mathurin, who began casting a spell onto his legs. Two medium sized magic circles, emanating green, formed under his feet before shooting out black flames. Both feet, as well as his entire legs were coated in blackness. Mathurin was able to avoid the oncoming physical attacks, however she was able to corner him into the room. She laughed slightly before she inhaled deeply and breathed out a thick cloud of poisonous smoke into the air. Realizing some kind of powerful magical attack was coming up during her inhaling of air, he quickly cast a spell where he began to sink into his shadow. Immediately upon her breathing out the cloud, Mathurin was inside of his shadow and unaffected by the effects of the spell.

"Get your ass out here Maggot!!"

Andariel screamed into the air as she went into a bewildered rage, unable to find or sense Mathurin. The cloaked mage swiftly sped himself and shadow to be three meters behind Andariel as she rampaged on a few statues nearby. Without her noticing him nearby he quickly seeped out of his shadow while still behind her. He cast another spell, placing both hands out as two green magic circles formed in front of them. As before with his legs, black flames burst out engulfing both of his entire arms. Andariel could hear the sound and quickly turned to see Mathurin shooting three shadow fists hurling towards he location before she could move. All three punches landed delivering debilitating damage as she stumbled backwards. The spider queen took a moment to gather her bearings as a bit of blood dripped down her lip.
"Hahaha.... I think YOUR gonna have to do better than that. You should know I plan to leave with that pretty little head of yours. Id suggest you take this a little more serious." Mathurin said as he walked slowly closer towards Andariel smiling all the same. He was without a doubt determined to overcome her and remove her head from her shoulders. Although he believed her head would look better mounted in his room, he planned to deliver it to his pillar head. Failure was simply not even remotely an option. Mathurin prepared himself, as he sinked into his usual battle stance.

"You dare threaten me....your entrails shall make a delicious treat for my children!!"

The queen roared filled with anger as she began to cause the hallway to shake and dust to fall from the ceiling. Mathurin stood unaffected by her threats of caving in the hallway. Andariel placed her hands 4 inches apart, palms facing each other. Her magical energy began to gather as a deep green poisonous light formed inside of it. She was planning something big, and Mathurin had about enough of dealing with her. If she continued to wreck havoc on the hallway, his chances for escape would dwindle severely. Mathurin Clenched his deadly fists as he looked onward unto her, timing his next move perfectly. She shot the blast forward to him at amazing speed, before he bolted to his left avoiding the blast. She was there however to greet him and slashed down with her powerful spider limb. Mathurin blocked the attack placing both hands above his head in an X formation. The blow was powerful enough to cause the ground to sink an inch under his feet. His knees felt a bit of damage, however his adrenaline was pumping too high for such a mundane issue. He maintained hold of the attacking limb, before pulling on it with all of his might. Andariel let out a blood wrenching yell that echoed throughout the entire Hall. Her blood began to gush out of her body as she looked forward at Mathurin, her eyes blazing with fury. He smiled back and waved, before darting towards the weakened spider queen.

He dodged the incoming strike from another limb, however took advantage of her now weaker side. Reaching back with both hands like a shinobi style ninja, he smashed forth with all the energy he could muster, caving both palms deep into her belly. Andariel spat blood forth every where, and made an attempt to counter the blow, however she was much slower. Her speed and strength only a fragment of what it was before, this battle was already decided. Mathurin slowly paced backwards to eye ball his opponent, searching for an opening, which he seized upon instantly. Leaping into the air, Mathurin came crashing downward with a powerful leg smash directly onto her skull. As soon as he landed on the ground he dashed under the queen and made a low spinning kick onto her knee. The spider queen was in deep trouble and she knew it. Her body was heavy and sore, her muscles simply unresponsive to her will. Mathurin ran towards her to punch her in the face slowly, she used all of her energy to counter the punch, which was unfortunately a feint attack. Upon her taking the bait, Mathurin dipped under her to grab the chains connecting her breast. He ripped the boob chains off before tossing them in the distance with partial boobs still attached. Immediately as she began to cry in pain, Mathurin cried just as hard with tears of joy and laughter. Andariel was near her death, and Mathurin nearing boredom with her. He walked tot he furthest point of the room before looking at her 10 meters away. Mathurin sped forward to her and let a barrage of punches ensue onto her. She with stood the first few, however her defenses were broken and her life ceased to exist any further.
"Tch...they never last long enough to have some real fun." Mathurin said to himself as he stood over the lifeless corpse, his fists dripping large droplets of spider blood onto the stone floor. Mathurin walked around the room till he found a old, dull, rusty sword from one of the would be adventurers from before. He began to spend the next ten minutes hacking away at the neck of the giant spider queen. Her head was massive and weighed about 80 lbs itself. Mathurin wrapped her hair into a pony tail, then heaved it over his back. Following the map inside his brain he made in attempt to escape, he began to make his way out of the hallway. After making seven different wrong turns, he finally found the entrance room he was looking for. Mathurin stepped outside as the lights shone unto him, momentarily blinding him as he was accustomed to the darkness. He looked to his sides in an attempt to find his pillar head. He had what she wanted. and it was about time Aimi should be up and wondering about him. Mathurin set the head down next to him as he reached inside his chest pocket for his last herbal cigarette. Hands were still soaked in blood as he pulled it out and placed it in his mouth. Mathurin lit the cigarette, happily done with his mission.
