Spooky Spooky [Raven|Akame]

Job Details:

Raven stared at the contents of the box for a long time. "What the heck is in this thing?" she asked herself as she read through the book and istened to the lacrima recorder. She could feel a headache growing when she turned to the last part of the whole thing. She just sat on her bed quietly for some time, replaying the message over and over again in her head. It was clear that someone needed her help. But why was this box sent to her? How did this Samuel guy know her? Well, it was a fact that she was known quite well in Fiore seeing as she still holds the position of a rising star. However, it seemed really odd to her as well. This mission was obviously very important and he sent it to someone he wasn't even sure whether she would help.

Raven being Raven, she got up from her seat, walked quietly over to her dresser and started throwing clothes on her. She wore a white shirt with a blue jacket and black jeans along with a pair of blue shoes. She wrapped a blue scarf around her neck before heading out with Kuroe following her. She wondered if she could take someone else on this mission with her. They had so many new members and that could use the experience and she wanted to be friendly for once. Thus, she began looking around for the potential choice till her eyes landed on a certain sword girl.

Akame woke from a short nap she was having whilst in her spacious dorm room. Everyday, she felt more comfortable sleeping here, the guild becoming more like a home to her. Sabertooth sure was something interesting. The people here were nicer than Akame could possibly imagine, and already, she was making great friends; Hikari being her best. She still had so much left to do in this guild, years to spend until it would finally be her time to retire. Akame wondered if she was using her time wisely, recalling these naps she was taking. She figured she could always be doing something better with her life than sleeping, and embrace the atmosphere surrounding her, which is why she figured she would prepare herself for a new adventure.

Akame did her usual routine, and undressed herself to take a shower. She took a while so the water could make her feel warm, and so she could look good afterwards before changing. Once it reached that point, after drying off and doing her hair, Akame threw on a red shirt, white fleece, black yoga pants, and white sandals. Akame wanted to make the most of her day today, and return to the guild exhausted by the end of the night, and so, after she dressed herself again, she headed to the guild hall to eat some lunch. Her sword was sheathed by her waist, of course, the sheath on a strap that ran around Akame's body. She needed this just in case she got into any trouble; so she could use her magic. While having this on her already may have put others in question, the guild seemed comfortable with it as Akame was their sword girl, afrer all.

When Akame was eventually finished with her routine, she walked towards the job board, hoping a new job would be available for her. However, while she approached the board, she spotted someone she had seen before, but never had a true interaction with any time in her life. According to what she knew about the guild, this girl's name was Raven, who was rumoured to have quite a good set of skills as a fellow member of Sabertooth. Akame took a quick peek at what she was holding until Raven looked over to her. "Hi!" Akame greeted, "Is that a mission?" Akame walked over to Raven after saying this, and pointed over to the top of the sheet. She smiled cutely, and looked up to her fellow guild member again. "May I join you?" Akame added, curious if the woman needed company.

“Just the person I was looking for,” Raven said to herself as she caught Akame from the corner of her eyes. But before she could go to her, she found Akame change directions towards her. She smiled at the girl who approached her, giving her a quick hello. She adjusted the paper in her hands so that Akame can read through the contents easily while her other hand made its way into her pocket to find the lacrima recorder. She held it out for Akame to take while getting ready to explain the whole situation.

“Someone has asked for my help. I don’t know who this someone is and I’m not sure how he knows me. But he is in trouble. Listen to the lacrima recorder and read the diary. It’s rather strange and quite incomplete. The last message was recorded when they were being chased by something. But what the real problem is….they have failed to give us any information on that. If it won’t bother you much, will you accompany me to the spooky forest? We will have to investigate the place a little,” She informed Akame.

Kuroe, who had been flying to the side of Raven came down to rest on her shoulder as she handed whatever she got from the box to Akame. After going through the contents once more, Raven would silently nod at Akame and let her wings out to fly towards their destination. “I think flying would be faster. You can ride on Kuroe,” Raven offered as Kuroe shifted to his original form.

Akame was surprised to see how needy Raven was of her attention- she was looking at her for a reason, after all. Raven seemed like a nice girl, allowing Akame to read the entirety of the page she was holding, despite how impolite Akame's staring may have been a while ago. It left Akame even more interested when Akame found herself in a new situation due to the page she now held. A recorder was given to her, and taken for granted by Raven's words, Akame assumed Raven indeed wished for her companionship. However, there were some costs by this new grouping. Akame was now involved with a new task; a quite troublesome one. Neither of them knew the person Raven explained once Akame heard a summary of this recorder's importance. Albeit, Akame did not want Raven to do this task alone- especially in the Spooky Forest- and so she nodded her head, and placed her hand on Raven's shoulder. "I sure will!" Akame responded.

There was also a box that came with this whole scenario, though Akame knew nothing of it. It seemed there was going to be someone else doing this job while Akame found something rest itself on her companion's other shoulder. It was amazing to see how a fellow guild member could fly, let alone have a pet to do so, as well. Akame did not know how the heck Raven could do it, though it reminded Akame of her past, for some reason. It was still vague, though Akame vowed to herself that she would unravel her past someday. At this point, however, the past did not matter; it was the present that was more important. Akame hopped onto Kuroe once Raven instructed her to do so, and the three were on their way to a dark place, though Akame was sure this whole journey would be successful, regardless.

Raven found Akame quite reliable. Sure, they never had sit down and had a proper talk before but Raven had definitely seen the girl around the guild. She appeared to be one of the sensible among the crazy ones and that was always something new; especially in a guild like Sabertooth. The rest of her team was out doing something anyway. She couldn’t think of another person beside Akame to do this job with.

The sky was rather cloudy that day, Raven noticed when she looked up. It looked like it was going to rain soon and the feeling increased as they neared the spooky forest. That forest was called the spooky forest for a reason and if it wasn’t for the the fact that Raven had came from a place rules by darkness, she would be one of the few that had their legs trembling in fear. On top of all that, they were investigating something they had no idea about. No physical description, no clues. All they got was that someone had messed something up badly and now they had to figure out what.

Her black wings slowly folded back into her as she landed on the ground next to the entrance of spooky forest. She adjusted her clothes and hair before slowly turning to look back and see Kuroe arrive, carrying Akame on his back. “The girl was heavy,” she heard Kuroe complain and chuckled when the bird immediately come back to her side. “Don’t mind him. Kuroe is always like that,” Raven told her companion thought she was clearly amused by the event. “Let’s go”.
