The Dark Escort [Gil]

"How amusing." Gil read over the letter once more a smirk passing across his features. He had acquired a carriage to take him to the clients home before he was to escort the clients daughter to a banquet. The letter was intercepted before it could reach a legal guild and was now given to a dark guild. "Take the brat to the banquet. Ruin the banquet. Simple." Though of course he'd have to pose as a legal guild member for a while, and of course act like a gentlemen. Gil however, was trained in proper etiquette that should put the brat to shame. The carriage stopped and the blonde haired man emerged from within. He had taken care to dress nicely and at least look the part of an escort. Black dress pants, a crimson dress shirt, dark tie, and a coat who's collar was just high enough to hide the crimson mark of Tartarus upon the back of his neck. Tucking the job description in his pocket Gil made his way to the front door of the mansion in which his client resided. "This home is complete garbage. To think this is the kind of place high class society lives in."

A moment later a butler of sorts opened the door for Gil and lead the blonde man inside. He waited impatiently at the steps of a grand marble staircase. He heard what sounded like a girl screaming and throwing a tantrum from upstairs causing Gil to roll his eyes. "I can already tell this brat is going to test my patience." He rolled his crimson eyes and ran a hand through his mane. Finally, after what seemed to be an eternity the girl and her father emerged. The man was rather short and chubby with a hideous mustache to match. The girl might have been considered pretty with her dark hair and green eyes but she was on the rather short side much like her father. The two descended the stairs both of them unable to take their eyes off the male mage.

"Are you-" The man began to speak his voice was just as hideous as his appearance so Gil was quick to cut the man off.

"I'm Gil Vessalius. I'm from the..." He smirked his crimson eyes glinting at the girl as a devious thought came to him. "I'm from the Rune Knights." He bent a knee and took the girls hand to place a kiss on it. "Consider me your knight in shining armor. My sweet lady, may I know your name?" The girl looked between her father and the 'knight' whom had kissed her hand obviously confused and flustered.

"You can call me Asha." She made a 'hmph' sound and quickly fled outside to the awaiting carriage, leaving her escort and father behind.

The girl was exactly as Gil had expected. She hit every single nerve of his and then some. "How dare she think herself above me." The dark thought was hidden behind a pleasant smile as the two sat in silence in the carriage. Despite his inner workings, Gil was at least able to appear kind and pleasant on the outside. It took a lot for Gil to 'be pleasant' and when his pleasantness was so rudely put off by someone such as Asha, well it made Gil unhappy to say the least. Most of his attempts at polite conversation were ignored on the carriage ride there. To be more specific it seemed like the girl did not wish to talk about herself but Gil on the other hand was fair game. "Rune Knights?" He had nearly forgotten what he claimed to be as the girl made some comment on him not looking like a typical Rune Knight. "So you mean I actually look charming, chivalrous, and fair?" His red eyes gleamed with amusement as the girl blushed and said something offensive. Luckily, before Gil could snap at the girl, the two had arrived at the banquet they were to attend.

The two emerged from the carriage, Gil running a hand through his hair, a habit at this point. Before Gil could even offer to take the girl's hand she had stormed off. Which forced Gil to enter the banquet alone, not that he really minded. He fit right in the elite society and easily blended in with them. His escort on the other hand, shunned everyone who approached her. "What is this banquet for exactly?" He was already on his second glass of wine and he had only been at the banquet for perhaps five minutes.

"For the young mistress Asha of course. It's a celebration to try and lift her spirits up but she seems to be....ignoring everyone?"

A dark look crossed his features, jealousy written plainly in his eyes. A celebration for this Asha girl? He would have none of that. With a growl Gil returned to his escorts side, picking up another glass of wine on the way over to her table. "Here drink this." Gil slid the glass of wine across the table to the dark haired girl. She gave him a skeptical look as if to say 'I'm to young to be drinking this'. For the first time that night, Gil showed his true nature to the girl. "Quit looking at me and hurry up and drink. I will not have you wasting something I took the time to get you." Gil took another sip of wine, a decent vintage. "Now tell me why your ignoring everyone here, and no that's not a request it's a command."

"Well my mother passed away not to long ago and just....I'm very upset you see....Me and my mother we didn't get to interact a lot. She was always so busy with work and I didn't want to bother her. Then she passed and I lost the chance to finally speak with her you see? Now I'd prefer if I don't-"The girl was abruptly cut off by Gil who was laughing. It was not a small laugh, it was a deep rumbling from the chest that went on for a great while. Then all at once the man stopped amusement still in his eyes.

"Would you like to know why your mother died dear?" The girl was wide eyed, and appeared somewhat hurt by Gil's sudden fit of laughter but she nodded. "She died because she had a pathetic whelp like you. How could she possibly continue to live on knowing that her daughter wasn't even capable of commanding her own mother's attention? I'm sure right now she's even more disappointed in you. Even after her passing you're still nothing but a pathetic whelp! Listen carefully child because I will not say this more than once," Gil was leaning over the table his crimson eyes glowering into the girls green orbs. "I am amazing and I am sure you know that. I have lived almost my entire life without parents but I know that they are proud of the man I am. They are proud because I am a man capable of commanding others, I am not one to be told what to do, I tell others what to do. That is the difference between you and me dear." Gil sat back in his seat watching the girls expression. "Now tell me....What will you do now? Simply lie down and die or will you command all those who are beneath you, and live to make your mother proud?" Hook, line, and sinker.

All it took was a little commanding push for the girl to show her true nature. Gil knew she had it in her, ever since he heard her yelling and screaming at her father from upstairs. She just needed a little push to show that side to others. "Let's see what you've got." Gil smirked at the girl from across the table. He dropped the wine glass on to the floor, wine and glass splattering onto the polished marble.

"YOU CALL THIS WINE!" The girl seethed as someone made their way to clean up Gil's mess. "THAT DRINK WAS ATROCIOUS AND THIS MAN HAD EVER RIGHT TO THROW IT ON THE GROUND! CAN'T YOU CLEAN THIS UP FASTER!? LEAVE IT THERE! GET OUT OF MY SIGHT YOUR RUINING MY APPETITE!" The girl screeched until the man quickly fled the scene and numerous eyes were on her. Gil was completely amused by Asha's sudden change in attitude. He moved seats to sit next to her the girl automatically stiffening. "Good let her command others but she should always respect and fear me."He leaned closer to the woman he was blushing at the handsome man's proximity. Deciding to play with her attraction to him he whispered into her ear, a husky command. "YOU! YES YOU MONGREL! ME AND MY COMPANION DESIRE SOME ENTERTAINMENT!" The girl soon went into a rampage, no guest was safe from her anger and her commands. Soon enough Gil had the party that was once for Mistress Asha so she may 'cheer up' be turned into a party befit Gil himself.

"Tonight was fun dear." Gil leaned down, half-drunk from the splendors and wine. "I'm sure your mother would be proud." Another husky whisper in Asha's ear had the girl blushing a color that matched the wine. Gil gave the girl a pat on the head before turning to leave the party, "Oh, and Asha?" He turned with a smirk, "I'm sure you'll make a splendid woman one day. Keep up the good work and I might just come back for you."
