Getting to know a team member (Daiko and Lance)

Lance was sitting next to Lea who was leaning back in her seat. She had grown from a 10 year old girl to a 15 year old in a matter of two months. Lance had no explanation for this but he felt even weirder when she called him dad. She smiled at him "Dad can we go get some Ice cream?~" she purred seductively as Lance nodded "Fine... its boring here anyway..." he muttered as he took Leas hand and led her out the door of the guild. Lance had been tired lately with Leas rapid growth and his fame.

Daiko was outside walking as he sometimes did. The black-haired boy was roaming around, and suddenly got an urge to eat something. It was smooth, melted at his touch, and dripped it's sweet juices in his mouth with each lick... Ice Cream.( You're a perv, Guest... I know what you were thinking... )

Daiko just happens to pass by a shop, and gets a stack of 12 ice-creams on top of each other. The top flavor was Vanilla, and it went chocolate, mint, strawberry, then repeated. The male sat down, and started to nibble on the ice-cream. He then spotted the man who was talking to himself back at the guild hall, along with the cat-entity that had larger breasts then when he last saw her. Damn soy beans...

Daiko stood up, carefully balancing his ice-cream. "Hey, Lance! It's Daiko!" He waves, nodding in his general direction. He eats 10 of the scoops in one large bite, his demon-like fangs not effected by the chill of the ice-cream. After a large swallow, he pats his stomach, then expiriences a feeling on the roof of his mouth. It felt like a thousand blizzards attacked his pallet, and he closed his eyes in pain. "C-Curses.. A brain-freeze..." This was the Slayer's only weakness.... The horrid freezing of his brain......

Lance walked by the ice cream shop and had ordered his and Leas Ice cream. They were about the walk back to the guild when a familiar voice called him he turned around and saw a familiar face to go with that voice. He had only seen this person once but apparently he was part of the team so he should get to know him. When Lance approached Daiko he waved and took a lick of his ice cream.

Lea was behind him hiding her red face "D- Dad he is so cute..." she muttered as she peeked over his shoulder then went back down Lance smiled and sat down next to Daiko and had Lea sit on the other side of Daiko so that he was in the middle. she licked her Ice cream silently and had a shy look on her face as she avoided eye contact with him.

Lance on the other hand was having a nice chat with Daiko. "So I heard you joined the team!" he said with a laugh as he patted Daiko on the back "Its nice to have you buddy!" he said with a warm smile as he leaned his head back. Lea dripped some ice cream on her chest and looked down and groaned she had nothing to clean it off with so she turned towards Daiko with a red face "D- Daiko can you ummm... help me with this?" she said shyly but cutely as Lance laughed.

Daiko's brain-freeze wore off, and he was happily eating his ice-cream. The flavors mixed together perfectly. Before he knew it, both Lea and Lance were sitting next to him. He glanced at Lea, noting her increased cuteness from the last time he'd met her. Lance seemed about the same. Daiko was happy to see his teammate, but wasn't exactly sure what to say now.

He attempted to strike conversation, but failed miserably. "S...Sooo.... How is everything?" He scratched the back of his head awkwardly, trying to find something to talk about. "Y-Yeah. Everyone on the team is really awesome." Daiko chuckles, memories of Heero and Rita fighting off Chapel and his thugs replaying in his head. He then glanced to the side, his attention being caught by someone else.

"Of course I can help." The teen chuckled, looking at Lea. He noted a bit of ice-cream on her chest, and swiftly brushed it off with his thumb, subconsciously putting the melted dessert into his mouth, as he did when he wiped ice-cream off himself. He then realized that this was off of Lea's breasts, and cheeks were slightly pink. "Y-Yeah.. There you go..."

The mage, coffee cup to her lips, trailed the sidewalks of Magnolia casually.  She was carrying out her normal morning routine: roll outta bed, freshen up, stop by the café to get some joe, then head over to the guild to see what was waiting there for her. Hopefully today would be a day for work rather than mayhem. Humming to herself quietly she walked by an array of markets and stores until something caught her eye. Almost loosing her drink, she blinked as if trying to refresh what she was seeing through the window of the ice cream parlor she had paused in front of. There she saw Daiko, along with Lance and a girl with animal ears who Rita failed to recognize. Either way the idea of both Daiko and Lance together only spelt trouble.


"E-Ehhh." Rita remand still, hesitating before  turning back and rushing away in the opposite direction, Her signature low tail of caramel hair trailing behind her, tied at the end as it usually was. H-Heh, actually I feel like staying home today she thought to herself shortly, praying she hadn't been taken note of as she power walked her way back to her apartment.

Lance laughed at Daiko wiping the cream off of Lea. He normally would have knocked Daiko out but seeing as Lea is 15 now he didn't see her as a daughter anymore. She giggled herself and smiled "Your so Cute Daiko..." she said as Lance got distracted by something. He smiled when he saw Rita power walking away and he laughed "Oh no you dont..." he muttered as he got up and stretched before sprouting wings One demon wing and one angle wing. He took a running started and jumped up, landing at about a few inches off the ground and flew at Rita. He caught up to her easily and once he reached her he grabbed her, flipped her so she was being carried bridal style and flew 10 feet into the air. He looked down and laughed "Hey princess." he said playfully as he hovered there and carried her like that. Her skirt was showing a bit of her panties but Lance didn't look at that. All he looked at was her face "You want to get some ice cream?" he asked calmly and ignored the fact they were still in the air.

Lea watched as he did this and shook her head "Honestly..." she said as she turned back towards
Daiko "You want to go get some more Ice Cream?" She said as she stood up and grabbed Daikos hand happily waiting for him to lead her to it.

Daiko stared as Lance took off, and stared absently. He had no idea why he just sprouted wings, or why he was flying. He then noticed that he picked up Rita, and that he was lifting her in the air. He stares at the two, noticing something... Rita's panties. They were simple, with a heart pattern on them. Instead of paying much attention, he finishes off his ice-cream, chuckling to himself. 'I'll see those again later...' He laughs to himself, knowing how unlikely that was to happen.

"Sure~ What flavors do you like?" He stands up and takes hold of her hand, slowly guiding her with a hand on her waist. When they make it to the counter, he orders a 3 scoop ice-cream, and lets Lea order whatever she wants as well. He then slides the jewels needed across the counter, smiling at the cat-child. "It's alright~ I can pay for your ice-cream no problem."he looks into her eyes, waiting for their orders to be given to them.

Rita heard the sound of the parlors door swing open after her, cursing to herself as she began walking quicker. It was then with a sudden rush of wind she was literally swept off of her feet and flown into the air, Losing her coffee to the sudden movement. “Ugh God Dammit, Lance.” She cursed glaring down to the drink she had lost to the sidewalk below them. 

She pressed her teeth together roughly at the nick name. A voice quickly came back to her It sounded just like his but she quickly reminded herself how far it was from being Lances as the words played back between her thoughts: "This is your last chance to leave princess."  She recalled, remembering the dark look the shadow had given her through Lance's face. Memories of the tower Her Axel and Lance had gone too flooded back in her head, the trial she faced, How she mistook her own friends for her foes, and failed to aid Lance and his Dad in time. Rita truly felt like a fuck up that day-- She blinked, quickly falling back into her senses. 

“Don’t call me that.” She stated simply, keeping a level headed expression. Well, all until color flushed to her face, feeling the air between her legs, her long skirt hanging off of her enough to expose her undergarments to on-lookers. Thankfully, the street was just about deserted. No one had seen her... or so she thought, forgetting about Daiko who had gotten a peek through the window of the Ice cream parlor.

She quickly phased out of his arms and into her shadow form, appearing to disburse completely, not waiting until he decided to put her down. Quickly, The mage reappeared from the shadow that the building cast. She blinked, waiting to see if he would fly back down to her “Who goes out to get ice cream, its the middle of winter after all?...” She wondered, gesturing to the clouded skies overhead. Rita inhaled a generous amount of icy air before releasing a sigh, her breath thanks to the low temperatures. She pulled her jacket together over her frame, zipping it up higher and shoving her hands into the pockets to keep her warm. Rita was really regretting wearing a skirt… But If she was to go on a job today like she planned she wanted as much flexibility as possible...

Legs and teeth chattering together she glanced into the ice cream parlor where Daiko stood at the counter with the cat-eared girl. "I bet this place at least has decent heating." She murmured. Staring to the door as if wanting to go go inside with him, gripping at the sleeves of her jacket, shakily.

When Rita faced through Lances hand he looked around and saw that she had appeared in the shadows of a building. Lance chuckled and shook his head before flying down to her were she looked like she was freezing. She was staring into the window so Lance sighed and put his arm around her "Listen there is no need to make yourself suffer... come inside with us..." he said as he walked inside and sat back down at the table. He stared at Rita for a second and yawned "Sorry about picking you up. It was either that or I tackle you..." Lance muttered as he shrugged. He still had that letter in his pocket but now was not the right time to give it to her.

Lea moved closer to Daiko when he placed his hand on her waist. She ordered her ice cream and was about to pay for it when Daiko told her he would pay for hers. She giggled cutely and nodded "Ok~" she said as she looked around and saw the parlor half empty "But I dont feel right using your money without giving something in return..." She said with her head tilted and a smile on her face. She chuckled and blushed once she thought of something "Uhm... this is embarrassing to ask but I dont have anything to give so... How about a kiss?" she asked with a hopeful gleam in her eye.

Daiko glanced over at Rita and Lance, whatever the hell they were doing together mystified him... He shrugged almost toward them, returning his attetention to the girl in front of him. He tilted his head at her reluctance to take his money, and asked "Pay me back? Oh.. You don't need to worry about it." He smiles, then ruffles her hair. He then heard the next part of what she had to say, and blinked, making sure he heard correctly. "S-Sure..." He leaned down and gave her a quick kiss on the lips, then moved back  to a standing position before ruffling her hair. "There... Happy?"

Rita rolled her eyes with a slight curve to her lips as he insisted she came inside with him, dragging her through the doors and down to a table. She looked to her newly acquired teammate by the counter with the cat-eared chick. “I didn’t think you knew Daiko yet, Lance.” She stated, wondering how the two had met. Never had Rita imagined that they would go from strangers on a job to teammates. The brunette blinked as she watched Daiko deliver a quick kiss to the girl. She tilted her head with curiosity, locks of her coffee colored hair readjusting with the shift. “Hmn, that his girlfriend?” she wondered honestly, releasing a yawn herself, folding her arms across the surface of the table.

Lea blushed as the quick peck and giggled girlishly. The cat girl seemed more giddy than ever now as she grabbed the Ice cream from the counter. She swiftly grabbed Daiko's hand and skipped over to the table were she sat by a window. Lance, sitting next to Rita smiled at Lea "You bought some more Ice cream?" he asked as he eyed the Ice cream that she now held. She nodded happily and licked her ice cream "Yup! And Daiko bought it for me." she said breathlessly as her face was red with blush. Lance chuckled and stared at the other dark haired boy who Lea had dragged to the table "Thanks for buying Lea Ice cream." he said as he got out a brown, cloth pouch of jewels "If you need payment I can-" He started but got cut off buy the now dark haired cat girl "Dad he already got his payment~" she said shyly as she quickly tried to hide her face in embarrassment and to hide the fact that she couldn't stop giggling.

Lance looked over to Rita and smiled "Yeah I know Daiko. I met him on his first day in the guild." he smiled as he glanced over at the cat girl still swooning over Daiko as she licked her Ice cream. "Oh and I saw you looking at Lea over there weirdly... she has changed a bit but she is the same Lea..." he said as he leaned over and whispered in Rita's ear were the other two couldn't hear him "Although her hormones have changed...." he whispered as he laughed.

The Shadow mage looked at Daiko and smiled "You may know my name but you know nothing about me." he said as he reached his hand across the table and shook the black haired boy's hand. "Allow me to formally introduce myself." he said with a cool grin "I'm Lance Knighthunter, Shadow of Fairy Tail, King of the Shadow realm." he said as he left out singer because it wasn't as important to him.

Daiko was grabbed by the hand, and the cat girl who he had just kissed sat down, and he sat next to her. She was giggling, and he felt his cheeks getting warm. As if on cue, Lance and Rita both walked in. Looking over at him, Daiko listened to what he had to say. He was talking about how Daiko knew nothing about him.. Only his name. Daiko didn't want to say it out loud, but he didn't know the guys name until fairly recently. Shrugging, Daiko extended his hand to shake with Lance.

"I'm Daiko Seidra, just a Demon Slayer.." He chuckles awkwardly, then moved closer to Lea, eating his ice-cream. He then glanced over at Rita, noticing that she almost always looked angry. He then poked her cheek, seeing if she actually was mad. "Heya Rita."

If she still had her coffee she likely would of spit-took at the news. Instead, Rita blinked widely. “W-What? Lea? Eh! No way--“ she whispered back with shock. Her eyes scanned over the girl, her face, her neko ears, and in general her body.  She knew that she had not seen these two around in a while but this was ridiculous. It hadn’t been this long she hoped.

Surprised by the sudden formality, Rita watched as the two quickly greeted, shaking hands. About to speak, she was interrupted by to a jab to her cheek. Surprise quickly replaced with vex.

 "Don’t do that” she said honestly, gazing back at him hostily. A long sigh escaped Rita's lips as she absent-mindedly rubbed her cheek, wondering again how she had ended up in an ice cream parlor with these people…
