Personality: Kaita’s life is dominated by her practical desires. Her clothing is plain and comfortable, her hair is easily managed, and her choice in guild was made by traveling expenses (the fact that she agrees with the Sabertooth’s statutes are an added bonus). Despite her inner belief in logic and reason, she cannot socialize and has trouble communicating without mumbling and stuttering. She is also extremely clumsy, and bumps into things and gets in the way of people quite often. Any time she feels embarrassed or like she is hindering anyone/thing, she will screech out as many apologies as she can while fleeing the scene. Also, she will avoid anyone who has seen her embarrassed, which leads her to avoid more people than she talks to. However, she is a hopeless romantic who yearns to be loved. She firmly believes that there is someone out there, and that she will find that someone eventually. However, she isn’t the most patient person and would prefer to meet her prince/princess charming as soon as possible. That desperation leads her to become infatuated with anyone she comes across. If she finds someone she doesn’t feel awkward around, she sticks to them like glue and tries her best to never be separated from them.
If she is given enough time to prepare herself, Kaita will be capable of making tough calls for the team, but she will wilt like a flower in a desert if put on the spot. Her teammates would describe her as distant and cold, considering she prefers to avoid them in order to revise and analyze her plans. She claims that her obsessive study habits help her make decisions, but in truth it is out of fear of embarrassment and rejection. Working under a leader wouldn’t be much different. If she has a friend in the group, they would be almost impossible to separate, but all other team members would be ignored. She would be something of an advisor to the leader, hovering over their shoulder and monitoring all decisions and making a suggestion or two if she disagrees. However, she would recognize his/her authority and would go along with the leader’s plan, so long as it had some sense to it. It is most likely that the reason she joined the team in the first place was out of romantic feelings towards the team leader or a friend (if there is one present). If not, she likely would fall in love with the person in charge, which could cause some problems as she has trouble practicing what she preaches by separating her emotions from her work. With her lack of coordination, she is not skilled at combat. To make up for this fact, she studies as many forms of magic and fighting styles as she possibly can. If she faces an opponent that wields what she has studied, she has a decent chance of using their techniques against them, provided that she wards off their attack long enough to gain the advantage.
Likes:
1. Travel- a change of scenery and the idea of a new culture with the prospect of adventure gives her a sense of optimism about her life, but her slim wallet limits her greatly.
2. Reading- there is nothing that gives her more joy than curling up with a book and escaping reality-and preferably learning new things in the process.
3. Experimenting- from cooking to ancient meditation techniques, sampling the world for the best ideas is one of her favorite pastimes.
Dislikes:
1. Irrational Emotions- mindless anger and unnecessary guilt disgust her. She will take responsibility for her actions but if she believes that was the proper course of action she will feel no regret.
2. Misinformation- spreading lies and rumors with no basis and purpose is not tolerated if she has any say in the matter.
3. Women's Fashion- impossibly short skirts and low-cut tops that are impractical for movement are far too prevalent for her tastes.
Motivations:
1. True Love- despite her desire for practicality and logic, she firmly believes that there is someone out there who will love her as she loves them, she just has to find them.
2. Practicality- she longs for a world in which function is more important than anything else.
3. Her own flaws- considering her lack of skill and failure at leading, she tries desperately to overcome her weaknesses in order to be better prepared for any scenario.
Fears:
1. The Unknown- since she desires the most logical, informed option, blind choices and unforeseen variables are her worst fear.
2. Rejection- Kaita is also terrified that she will find "the one" but they will not love her and that anyone she meets will hate her or consider her a nuisance.
3. Spiders- she isn't a fan of creepy-crawlies that hang out in the shadows, out of her sight.
