Strange Vulcans part one (Aly solo)

Job Discription:

Alyia was smirking as she left the guild with a mission poster in her hand. She was going on a job alone, for the first time since she had helped the guy with the letter. Being excited was an understatement. She was ecstatic. This mission was to go to the Spooky forest and beat up some vulcans, well, stopping them from stealing nearby villages. In other words, beating them up. Her smirk growing on her face Alyia took the stairs down from the guild two steps at a time. She didn’t have to worry about falling now so she went as fast as she could within reason. She reached the bottom of the stairs in no time at all and went on her way towards the Spooky Forest. The blonde had been there only once before and that was on her first job with Deniel, he now boyfriend/partner. She had been a little nervous on her first trip but that was because she wasn't used to enclosed spaces and feared them like no tomorrow. Now? Now she was less nervous due to the fact that she knew that she could overcome that fear. She was indeed still scared of enclosed spaces but not so much seeing how she knew that she would have to deal with them eventually and that if she or anyone else she had cared about were in trouble she would have to overcome her fear to protect herself and them. She reached the base of the mountain in no time at all and continued her way across Fiore without a single care in the world.

It had taken her several hours to finally get to the villages that surrounded the Spooky Forest. It would have taken her a lot less time if she had taken the train there, but she had come to develop the habit of walking everywhere she went no matter the conditions. By the time she had gotten to the villages her energy had not drained at all, but it was much more focused now. Walking into the village she was immediately surrounded by people. The blondes breathing quickened and she started to panic. Sure she could deal with crowds now but she was still immensely afraid of them. As soon as the crowd came it dissipated everyone backing away from Alyia.

Her breathing returned to normal as the people that had surrounded her backed away. Raising a single eyebrow she looked around trying to find the reason that they were backing away. With her eyes settling on an older looking woman She watched as she got closer and closer until she was standing right in front of her. The woman was a little bit taller than her and looked to be in her 60’s. She had a frown on as she looked Alyia up and down. “I asked for a mage, not a child.”

Alyia raised both eyebrows at the older woman. Had she just called her a child? With a low growl resonating in the back of her throat she looked up at the old woman and narrowed her eyes. “I’m not a child.” Alyia released a bit of her angelic magic so that the air around her crackled. She was proving a point. The old woman took a step back and looked at Alyia in awe. With her eyes narrowed Alyia turned her head so that she looked at the people around her. Shifting her gaze back to the old woman, looking at her out of the corner of her eyes. “Now that we have settled that. Shall we get down to business?” Alyia watched the old woman regain herself and nod. “Good.” The old woman turned and started to walk away motioning for Alyia to follow. With one last look at the people surrounding her the blonde followed the old woman. She followed her through the village and to a small house. Following her into the house she sat on the floor where the old woman motioned her to sit.

Alyia had sat there for a good twenty minutes listening to the old woman speak. The vulcans had been bothering them for years, but only in the last couple weeks had they been much more frequent and damaging to the farms. With her legs beginning to go numb Alyia nodded her head. She didn’t need to know anymore. Bringing one knee so that she was kneeling she placed a hand on it and used it to stand up. Stretching her arms above her head she looked down at the woman. A smirk growing on her face Alyia spoke one last time before leaving the small house; “This will be fun.”

Alyia stood outside of the Spooky Forest ready to go in when she suddenly felt a small piercing on her ankles. She knew exactly what and who it was. Without looking she reached down her hand extended. She felt small pads walking onto her hand and up her arm. The weight on her shoulder felt comfortable. “Hello Oya, what took you so long?” There was no response from the stoat sitting on her shoulder. With a roll of her eyes she walked into the forest ready to fight anything that came her way.

She had been walking for a couple minutes in the Spooky Forest seeing no sight of anything. The forest no longer bothered her and all of the noises around her did not reach her ears. The darkness of the forest moved around her, but it did not affect her one bit. Alyia gave off a soft glow due to her angel lineage allowing her to see everything near her. Walking deeper into the woods she honestly couldn’t wait until she ran into a vulcan, cause if she did, she was going to have a blast. With the comfortable weight on her shoulder Alyia moved her hand to pet the small stoat. It was a habit that she had developed over the time that she had had Oya as a pet. ALyia walked a few more minutes into the woods, she remembered her first job there with Deniel and all of the things that had tried to scare her. Nothing bothered her now. She took another step forward when she heard a noise from behind her. A smirk crossing her face Alyia turned around ready to finally fight.

'Monster Dice' :

There in all of it’s glory stood a green and blue vulcan. It didn’t look very strong to Alyia, so she assumed that it was a young one. A small frown graced her face. She wasn't too excited about it, it wouldn’t give her much fun, but at least it wasn’t nothing. Her frown growing into a smirk, she looked at the young vulcan. She moved one hand to her shoulder and soon enough the weight of Oya was felt on her hand. The blonde haired girl lowered her hand to the ground allowing for the copper coloured stoat to climb off. Standing up straight with a now cocky look on her face Alyia spoke the words of her dark enhancement spell; Depths of Hell. Sure enough as the last of her words were spoken Alyia was covered in dark magic. She bent low to the ground like a cat and with speed unimaginable Alyia burst forward and swung a fist into the vulcans face. With her knuckles making contact with the face of the vulcan it flew backwards and slammed into a tree. The smirk on her face still present Alyia walked up to the vulcan and brought her leg in an arch and smashed it’s head into the ground. She knew that her taking a vulcan by surprise was going to be very unlikely again so she was going to make sure that she took full advantage of it now. Seeing the animal below her Alyia stepped on it’s thick next and then pick her leg up and smashed down on it, killing it. Her smirk widened and Alyia removed her foot. There was not a drop of blood on the ground as Alyia finished her work. She looked behind her where she had put down Oya and saw that the small stoat was still there. motioning her with her hand Alyia beckoned the stoat to follow her.

Spells Used:

Continuing her way into the forest Alyia found no other signs of the vulcans that were supposedly raiding the villages surrounding the edges of the forest. She was about to go back to the town and claim her reward when suddenly Oya made a squeak as if too lazy to speak to Alyia’s mind and ran back into the woods leaving the blonde haired girl behind.

With her eyes widening Alyia took off in a sprint after her stoat. Running through the trees with her only source of sight being the glow her magic gave off Alyia raced after Oya. Jumping over roots and branches scraping her cheeks the blonde tried to follow where her pet went. She tried her best to use her sight of life sources but it was slightly tricky with Oya’s ability to not have a presence. When Alyia suddenly heard a roar in the distance Alyia widened her eyes and picked up her pace running fast through the trees getting scratches on her face for the lack of caring. Bursting into a clearing the last thing that she expected was for a small red stoat hissing and growling at a young vulcan. With a growl resonating through Alyia’s voice she started her sprint again. Jumping into the air as she reached the vulcan she came down on top of it’s head smashing it to the ground. With the head of the young vulcan hitting the ground Alyia hopped off and snatched Oya up from the ground and placed her on her shoulder. Turning and looking at the vulcan on the ground the blonde saw it start to move. Without a second thought Alyia brought her leg back and swung it forward having it make contact with the head of the vulcan. The vulcan with the force of the kick fell onto its back hitting it’s head once again on the ground. With another growl escaping the back of her throat Alyia walked over to the head of the vulcan. Getting down onto one knee she grabbed it’s head. Swiftly turning it one way and then another she broke it’s neck. “No one threatens Oya.”

Spells Used:

Walking away from the clearing Alyia heard another roar. Much louder than the one that she had heard before. Spinning on her heel Alyia looked back into the clearing only to see another vulcan appear from within the foliage. A small smirk unwillingly spread across Alyia’s face. She was just getting all of the action today. Slowly walking back into the clearing stepping over small roots and vines that crept along the ground the blonde made her way to the center of the clearing. She looked up at the vulcan that was towering down above her. Her smirk grew as the vulcan looked down at her. With it suddenly grinning Alyia did not expect it to reach out and grab her around the waist and lift her up into the air. With a shrilling squeak Alyia looked down at the ground below her. Sure she liked heights. But that was only when she or Deniel lifted her her up. Shifting her glare she looked up at the Vulcan and narrowed her eyes growling. With the dark magic surrounding her Alyia looked right at the vulcan and pictured the most pain that she could at the time. Opening her mouth Alyia started to speak but the monster clenched it’s hand harder causing for Alyia to take a gasp in pain stopping the calling of her spell. Clenching her teeth Alyia closed her mouth and tolerated the pain that she was feeling. Still glaring up at the vulcan she wondered how she was going to get out of this situation.

Only moments later Alyia was staggering on the ground panting. There was a point where the vulcan had loosened its grip just enough for her to rasp out her pain spell sending the pain that she was feeling to him. This had caused the vulcan to drop her and for her to land shakily on the ground.

Taking several breaths Alyia closed her eyes relaxing herself. Flashing her blue eyes open Alyia looked right at the vulcan and smirked evilly. This animal was going to feel her rage.

Spells Used:

Looking up at the vulcan who was glaring down at the small girl she snickered a little. The vulcan flinched slightly as the pain continued to flow through his body. Alyia no longer felt pain as she smirked. Walking up to the vulcan Alyia pulled a fist back that was covered in dark magic and swung it forward over her head making it connect with the stomach of the large animal. She could hear it let out a sound that sounded like a gasp of pain and she grinned wickedly. Pulling her fist back the blonde then shot out a leg sweeping across the ground knocking the vulcan over. Walking around so that she was at its head she looked down. “The pain doesn’t feel very good. Does it?” One of her hands went to her shoulder where she found Oya and ran her fingers along her soft fur before pulling her hand away. She looked down at the vulcan with cold eyes and her head started working on how she would kill this vulcan. Deciding on a simple almost painless way Alyia swung her leg at the head of the vulcan and knocked it out before getting down on one knee and placing her hands on either side of its head before swiftly snapping its neck.Standing back up Alyia sighed at herself, she was becoming slightly soft due to her new angel lineage. Lifting her hand back up to the copper haired stoat Alyia petted Oya. Taking one last look at the vulcan she snarled and turned away. Maybe the angel in her was affecting her greatly, but she was still her and she was not going to let anyone or anything push her around. Walking out of the clearing she walked back into the foliage to find another vulcan. She was going to have to get rid of a few more before the sign of leaving the villages alone would get into their heads.

Spells Used:

Walking through the woods Alyia turned her head left and right looking for any sign of another vulcan. She was starting to get bored and she needed something to entertain her. She let out another sigh. With nothing for her to really do until she ran into another vulcan the blonde started picking up other stones that were on the ground. Taking each stone between her pointer finger and her thumb she started to throw them at trees as she passed by them. Alyia paused mid step as a memory flashed through her head. It was of her first meeting of Yukine. She had wanted to play a prank of some people in a park, but she was not tall enough for her to be able to reach the lowest branch of the tree. So in the end instead of her playing the prank on the people in the park. Yukine had done it for her. He had taken the stone just as she just did and thrown it very softly at the back of peoples’ heads from his place up in the tree. Continuing in her memories the blonde didn’t seem to notice where she was going as she walked through the forest. So she didn’t notice the large animal that was following her through the forest and how it seemed to be keeping an eye on the blonde. As if wanting to take her somewhere to keep her.

Taking another step forwards the blonde girl hit her foot on a root that seemed to pop out of the ground causing for her foot to get caught and for her to stumble forwards. With an arm in front of her and the other protecting the stoat that was on her shoulder the blonde fell forwards. Only for her to never hit the ground, but be caught by a large green and blue hand.

With her eyes closed she was surprised to never feel the hard ground hit the palm of her hand and instead for her body to be caught on a large warm solid hand of that of an animal. So when she was picked up the blonde let out a small squeak. The fingers wrapped around the blonde’s body encasing it so that she wouldn’t escape. With her head turning sideways so that she would be able to see what was behind her she saw the large body of the vulcan. The blonde tried to squirm away from the large beast only for him to tighten his grip on her. She was done with this stupid beast. In fact she was done with all of them. They had always seemed to pick her up and they were stupid in ways that she would never understand. With a growl ripping from her throat the blonde started to glow and a sudden flash came from her body blinding the vulcan causing for it to drop her on the ground.

Alyia had landed on the ground softly as two wings sprouted from her back. They were white with black tips. They were about twice the size of the blonde. Feeling the ground beneath her, Alyia’s head shot up and she looked right at the purple and green vulcan. It was going to die, just like the other ones that had tried to fight her. A sudden rustle came from another bush not far from her. Was there another one? Could she fight two of the stupid animals at the same time?

'Monster Dice' :

The blonde looked at the bushes not worrying about the other vulcan, knowing that it would take a bit before the animal would recover from the blast of bright light. She watched a another younger vulcan came out into the open. This was just perfect. The blonde closed her wings and rushed at the younger vulcan, this one was going to be much easier to finish. Jumping into the air she spread her wings and flew into the air before diving back down feet first and nailing the vulcan in the head with her shoe. Feeling the pause of her foot against it’s face the blonde smirked and flapped her wings once putting more power into the attack propelling her forwards smashing the young vulcan into the ground. With the momentum she fell forwards into a forward roll. Landing back on her feet she turned her head around to see what she had down to the animal. Seeing it laying on the ground below her the blonde smiled. She walked over to it and picked it up. It was much easier now that she was an angel, her muscles were stronger allowing her to do much more.

She leaned back and threw it in the general direction of the other vulcan. With the other vulcan still out of it due to the earlier flash the younger vulcan slammed into it knocking both of them down. A smirk growing on her face the angel walked over two both of the vulcans and pointed both of her hands. Pulling them back she plunged them forwards into both of the animal’s chest. Feeling the warm liquid around her hands the blonde hummed in victory. Her hands grabbed onto the large vessel in their chest and pulled on them. Pulling back, two hearts exited the bodies of the dead animals in each of her hands. Feeling the pulsing body parts in her hands the blonde closed her hands with such force that the vessels in them squashed coating her hands in their blood. Dropping the hearts to the ground the blonde looked at Oya who had been watching her the entire time. Alyia could tell that the stoat didn’t know what to feel about her owner feeling victory in killing the beasts. Alyia tried to smile as she wiped her hands off on her black shirt. “All is good Oya, I would never hurt you. You are family to me. I would kill anyone who would harm you.” The blonde walked over to the stoat and offered her a hand, Alyia could see the processing going on in the stoats mind before it took a hesitant step into Alyia’s hand. the blonde smiled a gentle smile as she looked at the copped fur ball she called a friend.

Alyia continued to hold out her hand as the stoat climbed up it. Slowly at first until she had made up her mind. Feeling the comfortable weight on her shoulder the blonde turned around and continued to walk deeper into the forest. She would have to fight five more vulcans before she could return to the village and reap her reward. Stepping over roots and stones the angel continued to look for any signs of the idiot animals.

Not finding any after a short amount of time the blonde growled and shook her head, this was taking longer than she had hoped. Looking from tree to tree the blonde tried to spot one that she would climb. Only for her to pause a moment and smack her forehead. She had wings. Opening them once again the blonde took off into the air. She pushed ppat all of the branches and leaves until she broke free of the forest. Looking around the blonde narrowed her eyes and used her power as an angel to sense out the auras of the vulcans that laid hidden in the forests. Scanning the horizon the blonde finally settled her eyes upon a glowing from within the trees with a large grin spreading across her face the blonde dove down in that direction, but there was something wrong, she the blonde approached the glow seemed to get brighter and brighter. Like there was more than one vulcan in that spot. Did vulcans travel in packs? Alyia didn’t know and she really didn’t care as long as there were vulcans down there that she could get rid of she was going to be happy with what she got.

Breaking through the branches of the trees the blonde crossed her arms in front of her to limit the damage that the tree limbs had on her. Breaking through the last limb of the tree the blonde closed her wings and tumbled to the ground her hand flying to the small intelligent animal on her shoulder. Coming to a stop from her crash the blonde shakily stood up. Her hands was still covering the small ball of fur. Brushing her hair out of her eyes with her other hand the blonde looked around searching for the glow that she had seen before. Spinning in a full circle the blonde finally saw it. Seeing it caused a flow of adrenaline to rush through her veins. She took off running in the direction.

Her hand never left her shoulder as she ran in the direction of the glow. She didn’t want Oya to get hurt. She mattered more to her than anyone else. As the glow got closer the blonde started to grin. She was ready for a another fight even if she was the one who had to provoke it. Breaking into yet another clearing the blonde saw there sleeping three vulcans two older looking ones and younger looking one. A large grin grew on the blondes face as she approached the group of vulcans. But she froze as she got closer it seemed to be a young family. SHe didn’t know what she was going to do. Taking a deep breath the blonde finally removed the hand at her shoulder. She opened it allowing Oya to climb onto it. Feeling the weight transfer from her shoulder to her hand the blonde walked away from the vulcans and to a large rock that was on the edge of the clearing. She placed her hand on the ground and looked at Oya, “You are family, and I don’t want you to see this, okay?” The blonde looked at the stoat only to receive a sharp nod. With that the blonde turned around and headed back to where the vulcans were laying. She looked from one to the next trying to figure out what she would do. Sighing she walk to where the younger one was and sat on their neck choking off their vocal chord as she placed her hands on its head and gave it a sharp turn one way and then the other snapping it while the animal still slept. Alyia looked at the rest of the vulcan, neither of the other ones had stirred. That was when Alyia heard a large shriek of a monkey nearby. Spinning around the blonde looked at the forest and saw two more of the glows. Well shit. Two more vulcans that she had to deal with including the ones that had just woken up to see their child dead?

Knowing the ones next to her were still shaking off sleep the blonde hit both of their necks hard before calling upon her next spell, “I call upon the Fallen Blessed!” Light beams started to fall around Alyia hitting the two vulcans that stood near her feet still waking up from their sleep. With each beam being 3 feet in diameter. With each beam hitting the vulcans next her her she didn’t even look back as she knew that the animals would be dead.

As she walked towards the animals that were hidden in the bushes Alyia heard a screech. A voice entered Alyia’s head, ”Alyia!! Help!” Alyia’s eyes widened it was Oya and she seemed in pain. With a snarl ribbing through her gritted teeth the blonde took off faster than she knew she could towards the direction she knew that Oya was in. SHe grabbed the pendant on her neck lace and ripped it off. The scythe gre in her hand as she plunged into the trees. She could see them. The two vulcans that had her Oya, that had her best friend and closest family member. With her fingers tightening around the scythe the blonde jumped into the air and swung her scythe down in an arch. It hit the hands of the vulcan that was holding Oya cutting them off. The blonde landed on the ground and swiped the vulcan’s feet from under itself. With it falling to the ground the blonde stabbed it right where the heart should be. This had happened much too fast for the other vulcan to she. She looked right at the stoat that she falling from the sky she opened her hand and caught Oya. Who she placed back on her shoulder as she glared menacingly at the other vulcan. Moving to strike Alyia called upon the spell that would activate her weapon. Coeli Poenae the blonde thought with anger. She swung once detailing a blast of B-Rank damage to the vulcan’s arms that had tried to stopped her attack. Breaking through the defense of the animal Alyia took a swing up spinning her scythe in her hands. Cutting down the middle of the vulcan she could see the blood of the vulcan dripping down it’s front. Puling back the scythe she stabbed it forwards and through the next of the last vulcan that she would have to fight. With a sigh the blonde looked down at Oya and smiled sadly, “Sorry you had to see that.” She blonde pulled her scythe back and let the body fall to the ground. She stepped over the body of the vulcan and headed back in the direction that she had come from. Spreading her wings she took off into the air.

Alyia landed on the ground not ten minutes later and looked at all of the surrounding villagers, “Job completed.”
