Renji is a compassionate soul that is protective over his younger siblings and family. He finds the subject of magic to be rather fascinating despite how common it is for magic to be used. It’s practically a hobby of his to take notes in some written form when Renji witnesses a new spell or a new magic he hasn’t seen before. It comes in handy both in and out of combat as his knowledge seems to continually expand regarding magic. Renji’s second hobby is sketching whenever inspiration strikes him. Sometimes literally, so he often carries around a sketchbook and a pencil on him.

Renji is not exactly the social type as part of it is to do with mild social anxiety. However he can usually overcome this mental barrier when Renji has an objective in mind. The exceptions are of course, people that Renji is already familiar with. Animals are easier to approach than people for Renji. Even though he doesn't know why that is the case, Renji doesn't really complain either.

Once upon a time, Renji got into an accident while working the kitchen one evening. He was cooking while his parents were working late for his younger siblings and himself. However when he was chopping onions his eyes started to tear up from it, and before he knew it he nearly chopped his own right middle finger off as it stopped on bone. Hence the scar he now has on his right middle finger. It took a while before his siblings allowed him using knives or cooking for that matter again. To this day he’ll sometimes make jokes regarding onions when he’s near a kitchen.

• Animals ~ Who doesn’t appreciate a furry companion who can cheer you up no matter how bad it is?
  
• Art ~ Renji appreciates art of various types, especially art that has meaning behind it.
  
• Martial Arts ~ Surprisingly despite his compassionate nature, Renji appreciates and likes various types of martial arts. Whether it is with a weapon, fists, magic, or altogether.
  

Dislikes:

• Onions ~ They’re Renji’s arch nemesis in a comical way. He also hates it when onions are freshly cut because his eyes start tearing up.
  
• Crime ~ It hurts more people when it benefits the selfish people. Thus he views the act of crime with disdain and feels obligated to put a stop to it.
  
• Dark Guilds ~ Dark Guilds, in Renji’s opinion, is the heart of crime and as such Renji views them as the main cause for the suffering legal guilds and citizens deal with.

• Sibling Protector ~ His siblings and his family are the main reason Renji became a wizard in the first place. He wants to protect them and become their shield.
  
• Hero ~ Being a hero is Renji’s dream, and he is hungry for that dream. Not so much as he will actively seek out trouble, but when it does come he’ll prove with his actions that Renji has what it takes to be one.
  
• Artisan ~ Strange as it might sound, Renji is motivated to become a better sketch artist, and the only way to get better is through lots of practice.

• Blood ~ Renji, due to his unfortunate accident, instinctively starts having panic attacks when he’s losing blood. The more blood of his is spilled, the stronger his panic raises.

• Dolls ~ Renji doesn’t know what it is with dolls, but they just never agreed with him. He always feels like the doll is gonna get up and start a horror story.

Renji will often wear a short sleeved dark shirt with a leather belt that holds up his jeans. Protecting his feet is a pair of leather boots, and when it becomes cold Renji will often wear a red jacket that has wool on the inside.

Renji has an intellectual interest in magic, but his interest also lies in the martial arts itself. To combine both magic and martial arts is actually an interesting concept to Renji. A concept he aims to become a reality by forging an effective way to do so. As such, Renji practices self discipline and conviction as he believes that is the essence for any dream to be made. Which has led Renji to develop a mutual respect for the Rune Knights.
