History: A thousand years or two ago, a small little village was struck with a horrible curse by a power-hungry demon, each inhabitant losing half of their soul to the demon. No one saved them. The Magic Council, the freelance mages, the guilds and even the dark guilds did not dare to go near them, for with their half of their souls gone, the forbidden Container of magic power known as the Second Origin within each of them was left wide open like a black hole and whenever they got close to magic, magic was drawn towards them, absorbed by the empty half of their soul. As a result, ostracized by the magic-dominated world, they were cordoned off from the world like a disease, left in their shell of a village to rot. However, they strove to live despite this predicament and they did. Eventually, history forgot their 'crimes' and the descendants of these villagers were let out into the world, still holding the diluted version of the curse within them. -The story of the feeling empty lineage.
This story is fairly known by the mages across the lands of Fiore. But nobody knows the real story behinde this tragedy. Enter Jian Alexander Stardust. A young mage around his teen years and the last son of the rich and powerful Stardust family. The Stardust family was one of the most influentail bunch of people at the time. The family head and father of Jian just replaced his own father in the magic council as the head of that council. His wife was one of the first wizard saints and guildmaster of the powerful and well-known guild; Dragon's heart. So Jian and his other brother, Rionaris and twin-sister, Lianne, had a lot to live up to. And they all tried their best. Rionaris was a skilled swordsmen and requip knight, Lianne was more of a soul and spirit mage and Jian trained under his father in the arts of the Aura Force. The aura force was a powerful type of magic that was developed by Jian's grandfather and only used by mages with a strong connection to their own Aura and the ones around them. The days were peaceful for all the mages in Fiore, until one day. That faithfull day that changed everything.
Jian was fighting with his older brother once again. They did this for training purpose. Rionaris won all their last fights, but this time it looked like Jian had the upper-hand. His aura magic was only grown stronger over the last few months. After a fierce battle, he did it. The 14 year old boy beat his 2 year older brother in a duel. Jian was proud. Maybe a little too proud. He thought that his magic was so improved that he could do anything with it. So on that day, Jian looked for a book on aura magic in the library of his father. He had read all those books twice, exept for one. One book was still unread and today was the day that Jian changed that fact. He grapped and opened that book. It was an untiteled book written by his grandfather. It held all the forbitten things you could do with very powerful aura magic. Jian read about draining others from their power and spells that could destroy whole islands. But he stopped by one page. The page number 666. On this page was written about creating life by slicing off a sample of your own aura to create life. It was very complicated and hard to pull off but Jian, who was having a bit of a god-complex, thought that it was fun to try that out.
The next day, Jian had all the things ready to create his life. And so he did. He succesfully sliced off a part of his aura and created life. A person stood before him. A person who looked just like him. But this person was sad. Jian tried to make him happy and for a year, he and his aura person named Naij succesfully lived together without anyone seeing that there were two Jians.
But Naij slowly grew jealous of Jian. Naij wanted to be his own person and not just the same as this Jian. So Naij went to a nearby town and cursing it. All the people there were drained and lost half their soul to Naij, but they called him a power-hungry Demon. Nobody dared to go near, only the 15 year old Jian, since he knew what was going on. And there he saw Naij, who now called himself Zephier. Naij only grinned and blasted Jian away with his boosted power by all those souls. Then, with his grand power, he created a whole parallel dimension, with all the same people as in this dimension but still different. Zephier called it Edolas and then entered this dimension. He was gone, gone from this world.
A few hours later, the rune knights arrived to looked for the one who did this horrible curse to the village. But they only found Jian. Jian was send to the Council and he took the blame. His punishment? For every life lost in that village, Jian would be send one year into the future. So he can see what for horrible thing he did to the world. Jian took this punishment and was send off. By this time-traveling he lost all his magic power.
Jian was send 1000 years into the future. He awoke into a forest and without any magical power.
