Jumping out of the horse pulled carriage lightly, straightening to her full height as she reclaimed her calmness - but of course, that wouldn’t last for long. It was her first job and she was quite determined not to fail it. She lifted a pale hand towards her neck, only to met with smooth skin instead of the cold metal of her favorite pair of headphones. “Okay.. Calm down Kukki..” Moving the large braid that hung from her neck from her shoulder to her back, before Kukki smoothed down the dress she was wearing.

Light blue silk hung from her body lightly, the color fading greener and greener towards the hem that flared out around her knees. The straps bit into her skin lightly and the gloves she decided to wear made her fingers itch irritably. But what made her want to turn back now and return to her soft bed, was the crystal blue high heels that her feet snugly fit into - of course, they felt comfortable, but it was the fact that she could barely stand in them.

Taking one step forward towards the building where the ball was going to be held, her crystal blue eyes scanning the area for the noble man she was to be accompanying. “Are you Kukki Yamamoto?” A rough voice sounded from behind her, making her let out a small ‘Kyaa!’ before stumbling forward. Feeling a rough grip on her forearm, Kukki glanced towards the man who steadied her.

“Yes! I am! And you are Tuskami Yeto?” Instantly, her normal hyper-active personality slipped through as she jumped to her feet, her eyes bright. But noticing this, Kukki instantly calmed herself, fumbling the loose fabric of her dress.

The man released his grip with a nod, before holding out his arm for the blue haired girl to take. Kukki gently hooked her arm through his, making sure that she barely touched him due to the fact that she felt so uncomfortable this close to a man that she didn’t know and that she was in an area where she was supposed to act noble and not childish. But that was a task easier said than done.

“Well then Kukki, lets get this over with quickly,” Tuskami walked through the open doors, only to reveal a gorgeously built and designed interior - it only seemed to make Kukki self-conscious, a feeling she rarely felt.

Kukki walked silently beside the man whom she was accompanying, and when the reached the dance floor where several other pairings of people dressed in gorgeous dresses and formal suits - the entire scene made her want to cringe! “Do you not like places like this?” Kukki looked up, obviously surprised. Though instead of denying, she nodded roughly, her hair swaying slightly against her bare back at the sudden movements.

“Yeah, I hate having to dress up like this. I hate dancing, sense I obviously can’t! I hate stuck up people, I really don’t like nob-“ Kukki clamped her hand over her mouth, taking deep breaths - but she was caught off guard at the sound of a rough sounding chuckle.

Tuskami rest his hand on Kukki’s slender waist, while the other gripped one of her hands lightly on his shoulder, when that was done, he grabbed Kukki’s free hand in his and slowly started to move - “Just follow my lead and you should be fine.” Kukki was slightly confused, not caring of their close proximity. Shouldn’t he be rude? Mean? Stuff like that?

But she quickly realized that the jobs information was spot on. His look wasn’t depressed or anything of the sort, but instead, it was cold, harsh and dark almost. Catching Kukki’s curiously glare, he grunted harshly before glaring in her general direction.

“I know about your mother,” Feeling him stiffening harshly and the harsh, frightening glare sent her way had Kukki hanging her head down slightly, “and I know it’s none of my b-“ She was harshly cut off by Tuskami’s grip tightening painfully on her waist. “You’re right. You have no darn right to speak about her. You are only here to be my date or whatever - not to go prying!”

Kukki wasn’t surprised at all, instead she continued to listen to his harsh words, head hung. When he had finally stopped, only then did Kukki continue speaking. “She must’ve been really beautiful, kind and understanding. I wish my mum was like that. So I may not understand what it feels like to loose your precious mother, but I still know how it feels on some level!” Kukki lifted her head up, meeting the mans glare equally, her voice raising only an octave higher - though not high enough to drag any attention their way.

Her partner only glared at Kukki before sharply turning away from her with a harsh tug, walking away from her.

The blue haired girl quickly followed after, determined to get to the root of this. Annnd here it is. Kukki has a strange habit of quickly becoming detective like almost and spitting out information about her she probably shouldn’t. Finally finding were Tuskami had gone, instantly knowing that he was in no mood to speak about the topic that Kukki was quickly prying into.

"Mum’s are an important factor in life because they are your friend, someone who will listen to you with out interrupting and someone who will blow the tiniest things out of proportion only to get you to laugh!” Kukki stood a foot or so behind Tuskami, heels laying against each other on the ground beside Kukki as she placed her hands on her hips, leaning forward slightly as she spoke.

Surprised, Tuskami turned around, only to see that Kukki has shut the glass doors to the balcony so no one could hear the conversation and how she stood prepared for anything the male was to say in return. But instead, he only stayed silent as he waited for her to continue.

Kukki brought a hand up to her neck, before tapping the skin harshly and instantly, her light blue tattoo came back to its vibrant life. “But, they leave behind memories that you will always want to cherish, ones that you’ll never forget. Ones that are carved into your heart and mind like this tattoo on skin." She smiled softly as she tore the gloves she was wearing off of her hands with two jerky motions.

Wiggling her fingers, happy to be finally free of the tight fabric. “With that. There are rules about when they leave behind these memories,” Kukki lifted up a single pale finger, bringing to the nonchalant face of Tuskami Yeto. “One! Charish these memories with your entire soul. Remember them for the rest of your days, keep her smile in your heart, her laugh and her words of encouragement always in your mind for you to remember easily!”

Kukki brought up another finger, making the peace sign slightly as she continued to speak. “Rule Two! Do not bring shame upon her memory, the image she left behind and the warmth that she had spread!” Kukki’s hyper personality had returned, but the soft, determined smile upon her pale face never disappeared.

Her eyes began to water slightly, her body shaking harshly as she lifted a third finger - “A-And to never change after they leave. To stay yourself for the rest of time. To her baby for the rest of.. of your life!” At this point, Kukki was on the edge of collapsing, her eyes still wide and glistening with unshed tears.

Tuskami kept his nonchalant facade, pushing off of the railing and stalking towards the girl before him. “Rule 4. Mourn. Mourn to show the fact that you loved her with your heart and soul, to show that they were one of the most important people in your life,” The man cracked a small smile, gripping her hand that was in his face and lowering it to her side.

“And that is what I am doing, though you just explained to me a valid point,” Kukki grinned lazily, wobbling still as she listened happily to the man before her, “and I will be fixing that right now. Thanks Kukki.”

Kukki laughed tiredly, shaking her head - “Please, call me Ki and thank you.” The blue haired girl gave Tuskami a lop sided grin as she nodded her head back towards the ball room. “Do ya care if I head back home to my oh so comfortable bed?” Tuskami only laughed heartily, gripping his stomach. “Y-Ya! Just get outa here already!”

The male lifted his head, sending the female mage a jokingly grin before straightening and holding out his arm. “Ah! Why thank you dear sir!” Kukki picked up her shoes and shredded gloves before hooking her free arm through his own and stalking back through the doors and past the dance floor, heading towards the entrance.

Kukki let go of his arm, before quickly racing towards the awaiting carriage, but before she jumped inside - the blue haired girl turned back around, jumping on the balls of her feet as she waved wildly in goodbye. Tuskami only laughed and sent a small wave in return, watching as Kukki climbed into the carriage.

The blue haired girl pumped her fist into the air, first job, finished and completed correctly so she hoped as the carriage rode away from the large building.
