    Spoiler:

Aayla sat at one of the tables within the guild hall, job request in one hand and book laid out under another. She had actually gathered up a neat little stack of books that lay sprawled around her. She definitely wanted to do this job, to hunt down the wizard saints hidden treasure. Maybe there was something there they could use to help Sabertooth, or to even help her in her own quest against the dark mages… Regardless of what was there, it would be beneficial to them one way or another, she just needed to know what they were up against first.

When she was confident of the things they would find and face in the ancient ruins, she closed up her book and stood up to go and find her guild mates scattered about the guild. The first she was able to find was Raven, and so she walked up to the girl and gently tapped her on the shoulder before sitting down next to her.

“Hey Raven. I know it’s been a long time since the last time we talked but, I was wondering if you would be interested in taking on a mission with me? I’d like to get the whole team in on this.”
She said gently, handing her over the job request once she was sure she wouldn't startle the girl like she normally did to her other guild mates.

“We’d be going to the ancient ruins, after one of the old ten wizards saints treasure. The magic council itself is the one who put up the request and if we succeed there is a huge reward for us.”
She stated, attempting to sweeten up the idea of this job. She hadn't taken Raven on a job yet, and didn’t know what exactly would interest the girl.

Post by Mary Mahoney 6th October 2014, 7:38 pm

It was a bright and beautiful day walking around the roads of Fiore, nothing but the Maker blessed Sun in the sky. Everything was rainbow, peaches and ice cream for the newly reborn in purpose Mary Mahoney. Despite her appearance in a nuns outfit with pamphlets in hand, she was actually a Dark Queen of the Dark Celestial Spirits. A race of powerful rulers that kidnapped children in their sleep and transformed them into monsters for her army. Mary could be dong that, but after 2 tries on using Dark Keys... She decided to take a break on that experiment. Aayla was proven too uncontrollable and yet Kiersa was practically docile. Why was this caused? Was each person react differently through darkness stimuli? Mary decided to hold off on her experiments until she could verify findings. There was no hurry though, for she had forever to live and the subjects... No friends. They were not objects to be tossed aside, they were friends with sins that they could not unbury. A lot of them a darkness that consumed their lives. A darkness that caused them fear, anger, regret and repression. She was doing this to help them, not make it worse. And to Aayla, what she did was unforgiveable.

Mary sighed, there was time to apologize later. For now she would simply pass pamphlets to spread the word of the Maker. She would then smile and go home happily knowing she did her work. So coincidentally she approached a group of men and asked, "Excuse me good sirs, but could you spare a couple minutes. Have you heard about how the Maker can save your soul?" Of course she chose the wrong group of people as they were crystal make bandits with intent to mug her, rob her and kill her. Maker was having a sense of humor today.

OOGC: Don't worry about saving her. This is just a funny irony posting. Reason why its 2 groups of 3 is so that we can face them later at our leisure.

Cirven had just come from out of his room where he was reading the book on dragons that he managed to get from his father's things after he died. He was never the type to be big on reading books but this book was different. Not only was it was a memento from his father but it was also something that he was interested in. Anything he could learn on dragons would benefit him later for his desire to learn about the other Kukan form abilities possibly. Even though he had given up on the use of the dragon scales with the Kukan for some time he hadn't given up finding the scales his father couldn't find.

He made his way into the the center of the guildhall where everyone usually sat at and relaxed among friends. It wasn't as loud as usual though which somewhat bothered Cirven. He felt as though something bad was going to happen like some time of omen was trying to reach out to him before it happened. He thought that he was just thinking too much into things and continued to look around the room. It looked like a lot of the regulars were missing. He thought they had probably gotten jobs or just that he was usually gone when things got so quiet in the guildhall.

He found his sister and his teammate, Raven sitting at a table together. He thought about how Raven had joined their team but he still had had limited time around her. It was weird for him to think of because he had been around the others a lot more than her. He then walked over and yawned out of boredom. "Am I missing anything?" He spoke out and took a seat with them. He hadn't heard his sister speak about the job yet so he was just thinking it would be a relaxing day for them.

Raven was sitting at one of the corners of the guild, away from the usual crowd that made the most unusual mess. It was like any other day for her…Kuroe sleeping beside her, her guild in chaos and a book in her hand. Resting her head on the palm of her right hand that was on the table, Raven’s eyes never left the fresh pages of the book even as her fingers ran across the hard black bind of it. People may have caught the “Do Not Disturb” aura around her for none of the troublemakers came near her, let alone glance at her. However, Raven enjoyed it…well she should enjoy it while it lasts….right?

Well solitude time came to an end when she felt someone trying to get her attention. Closing the book with a gentle thud, she looked back to find Aayla smiling at her with a piece of paper in her hands. She recognized that odd prints in the paper as soon as she saw it. She had already passed through that request in the board many times and had even considered taking it but turned the thought down when she figured she couldn’t do it alone. So when Aayla gave her the job request, Raven nodded with a smile. “I would love to go. I was hoping for someone to ask me about this haha,” she laughed, giving her a thumbs up sign.

Her attention soon drifted off to a certain dog demon when she felt him slip down to a seat between her and Aayla. She hadn’t forgotten the last time she met him and that ended up with almost all the members of the guild throwing pies at them…all because one dog demon couldn’t keep his mouth shut. The memory still brought a playful smile on her face though. As horrifying as that experience was, it was still funny. “We were gonna go on a mission. You must have seen it in the request board….the hunter one,” she explained, handing him the job information. “ I think you should tag along with us”.

The blonde nun lay on her bed staring at the ceiling for a while, her mind going over the… strange event that had happened recently. She put a hand to her heart, clutching her chest slightly as she recalled the sensations that had pumped throughout her being. Her other hand went to her throat as she remembered the weight of the collar that had formed around her neck, the tight press of its iron shell wrapping around her flesh… And she recalled the words she had said to Mary… words Kiersa knew she had wanted to say… but couldn’t find herself able to say some times…

The darkness inside of her soul… that was what Mary had described it as for what had come forth when she’d twisted that key into herself… She had felt such… confidence. Self-assurance… and she had felt… stronger… “But at what cost?” the nun asked of the empty room, shaking her head before getting up and got dressed. Once she was dressed she looked at the Celestial Keys in her care, before putting them into her belt pouch and then looking to the ring on her finger.

It was still hard for the blonde nun mage to fully comprehend all that had happened to her since that terrible night… here she was, a Guild Mage, wielding the Holy Stigmata Magic, an ancient set of holy relic armour from the ancient Dragon Wars, as well as one of the Twelve Golden Zodiac Celestial Spirit Keys… and her team-mates… a pair of siblings, one a Water Dragon Slayer girl, whom had been the first person she’d ever properly met in Sabertooth, the other a Flame Demon Slayer boy… her sister in the convent Mary who was apparently a Dark Spirit herself… and a rising star in the singing world named Raven.

"Great! I want to take the whole team on this job... the more of us the better I think..."
She stated as the paper was taken from her and then handed off to Cirven, she smiled though as she stood up once Cirven sat down. She placed a hand on his shoulder to indicate she wasn't trying to get away from him or anything.

"I'm going to go and try to find Kiersa... I'm sure she's around here somewhere... I can smell her... do you two think you can track down Mary?"
She asked the pair, not really wanting to be the one to go and fetch the girl... she hadn't really faced her properly since she had her darkness torn out of her and stuffed into a Celestial Spirit... in truth she really hadn't forgiven her for it. She felt so guilty over her actions though that she hadn't voiced her displeasure.

"Why don't we meet up in town in about an hour or so, so that we can get going? I think Zinnath should be able to fly us to this place... At least as long as a few of us fly alongside her."
She thought out loudly, smiling at the pair before taking off to find Kiersa, following her nose.

The nun's scent led her straight to her room, which confused Aayla slightly. She hadn't been thrown off from a scent in a long time... of course this room smelled like her this is where she spent all her time. She rubbed the bridge of her nose as if to clear her senses, but when nothing seemed to change she just sighed and knocked on her door. Sh waited a few seconds before gently pushing it open and peering inside.

"Knock knock!... Kiersa are you in here...?"
She called into the room, popping her head in to have a quick look around.

Mary was just doing her duty as a nun of the Maker when she handed a pamphlet to the group of confused thugs. This was a happy simple life that she missed at the convent, the small bit of peace that she had on a daily basis. It went against every bit of her Dark Celestial nature and she could feel her inner darkness protesting. It wanted to show these people the love of the Maker and make things all better. Yeap they would feel much better after they pumped 10 bullets into her body and she still could stand. They would then proceed to stab her to death with crystal swords until Mary's vision went to total darkness. This happened again, soon she would once again ressurect and everything would be fine and dandy. That was what she thought as her soul reformed and she was back on her feet. She started collecting the pamphlets, rosary's and her tools of the trade with a lot of patience. She was getting used to dying, but not getting used to the fact that her collection of 100,000 jewels towards rebuilding the convent was robbed. Mary watched in darkness that loomed over her head and started to walk every quietly to the guild.

Almost like fate Mary would arrive with her nun outfit looing like she went through a blender, cut, torn, bullet holes and blood stains all over. She quietly got in her room and took a shower to clean the blood off and followed it by putting her casual outfit on. She was quiet with darkness simply oozing off her. Kiersa would know what this facial expression meant, she was mad. And Mary did not talk when she was angry, she just did it. So she simply got out of room and managed to pick up the paper on way out. Looking at it she scoffed, this was ironic. Another reason to beat the crap out of them. So grabbing her keys and wrapping it around her wrist as a bracelet, she got into the teleporter again silently.

She looked ready for utter war.

"Find Mary? That might be harder than it sounds especially with how she has been going off to promote the maker lately." He yawned after speaking, covering his mouth with his hand and stretching the other arm up. "Guess we will have to find her though for this job. We can't just leave her out of this as her teammates." He stood up from the table and started for the door. "Try and keep up, Raven." He turned his head to look at her as he spoke.

When he turned his view back though he was brought only inches away from bumping into a battered and bloodied Mary coming through the door. "Whoa!" He spun to the side just dodged her. She kept on walking though as if on some sort of mission. "Mary? Hey are you OK? What happened?" She didn't look to be listening to him at all and kept walking. "Mary?" He attempted to follow her to her room but was stopped by her door being slammed in his face. "The hell is going on with her?!"

He left her alone and made his way back to the table they had sat at earlier. "Guess we can just wait here for the others." He spoke to the silver haired girl with him. As they waited Mary had come back out and took the paper on the table from him. "Mary! What is wrong with you? We are a team so whatever issues you have are basically our issues too now. We are here to help." He got up to follow her to the teleporter. "Raven tell Aalya and Kiersa whats going on. I'll stay with Mary."

"Mary, are you going to speak or are you going to stay silent? You took the job sheet like you are motivated by it somehow. Do you have a grudge against those men or something? And what happened to you earlier?" He kept on questioning her as he stayed close to her. He wasn't used to her being this way but could tell something had her heated.

Raven nodded, looking at Cirven from the corner of her eyes. Lately, things were sort of weird around them. For some reason which she was not aware of, Kiersa had locked herself up in her room most of the time and Mary had started promoting The Maker much more than before. She simply didn’t want to pok her nose into other’s business and kept quiet about her little questions.

When Cirven stood up, she followed, pushing the chair back before returning it to its previous place and then doing the same to the chair Cirven sat on not too long ago. By the time he got to the doors, Raven had turned to follow him, stopping shortly when she found Mary in front of Cirven. One look at Mary’s appearance had Raven frowning in concern.

Raven caught Cirven moments before he managed to crash into her who was behind him and helped him gain his balance back. Looking back at the girl who walked as if she saw nothing, the question was definitely carved into her eyes but Mary seemed to dodge that too. When Cirven followed her, Raven stood behind, her right hand holding her chin. When she saw her that morning, and she saw her really early too, Mary was holding on to a huge bundle of pamphlets. She hadn’t paid much attention to it however since that sight was pretty common for the last few days.

When Mary walked out followed by Cirven who asked her to go get Aayla and Kiersa, Raven was still at the same spot they left her, her hands folded in front of her chest. Kuroe who chose to wake upa t around that time had already took his place on Raven’s right shoulder. “Weird…” she muttered, turning on her heels to go find her other two teammates.

When she got to Kiersa’s room, she found Aayla in front of the door. Stopping just a few feet away from Aayla, Raven gazed at the closed door before informing Aayla of what happened. “Aayla, I see that you are busy in here but Mary just walked in as if a storm went right through her. She didn’t speak or even look at me and Cirven….and…she also left for the teleporter after reading our job information….I think something’s wrong with her,” with that, she closed the gap between her and the door before banging on it twice. “Kiersa, I don’t know what happened to you but you need to come out of this room and help Mary”.

The nun heard the knocks on the door as she got dressed, not replying yet as she was concentrating on getting everything in the right place. Her habit in particular was sometimes a bit fidgety to put on straight. Then there were the boot cords...

Kiersa was glad she had gotten dressed before Aayla poked her head into the room. Not that the nun would have minded that much... she'd already seen her undressed when she had had to borrow the Water Dragon Slayer's swimsuit for that job in the Haunted Sea. "Sorry... I was just... reflecting on some things, and recent events..." apologised the young nun, squeaking slightly as the songstress Raven suddenly joined in the conversation and banged on her door. Kiersa frowned when she described Mary's attitude. "Oh dear... something's made her angry... And I don't mean "Cirven stole the last doughnut" kind of angry... I mean... well... properly angry." said the blonde nun, biting her lower lip as she recalled the last time she had ever seen her friend truly angry before, shuddering at the memory.

"What was the job?" she asked as she began to exit the room, closing the door behind her as she looked at the two girls. The blonde nun looked over the job sheet if and when the Water Dragon Slayer offered it to her, reading it over. "Crystal make mages... ancient wizard treasure... council..." she muttered to herself as she read the piece of paper a few times. The Celestial Nun looked at the ring on her finger, rubbing the jewel in its set for a moment, before she slowly nodded to herself. "Let's go. If anything, we need to catch up to Mary before she does something... well, stupid by our standards." said the nun, once again sighing as she tried to figure out how in the heck she kept winding up being the one giving the orders... was it because she was the most (relatively speaking) normal one of their team?

“That’s okay. Don’t rush, the other’s are gone to find M-“
She stopped mid sentence as Raven came over to them, slamming on the door and peering inside as well. She listened to her explain what had happened to Mary and she bit her lower lip gently, almost chewing on it in thought. Thankfully though, Kiersa didn’t seem to fazed by the announcement and proceeded to taking the offered job and reading it over while leading the girls out of the room. It seemed Mary didn’t give them the choice to really prepare for this mission… it looked like they would be diving head first into danger again. She couldn’t help but smile though… the danger and the risks that they were taking… they had become so exciting to her…

“Right… and with Cirven chasing her he might join in too.”
She teased, leaning over to Kiersa and looking her arm around the blonds before leading them outside. There, Zinnath was already looped around one of the large poles, looking confused at Aayla and the girls, wondering what was going on with Cirven suddenly chasing after Mary.

“Why don’t you two take Zinnath there? I can fly myself now… and it makes me a lot less sick when they are my wings.”
She stated. As if to emphasize her point, a bright yellow light shone over her back as two large, metallic wings formed and spread out widely behind her. As if taking that as a cue, Zinnath carefully slid down the pole and slid over to Kiersa, bringing her nose up to nudge into the nun’s hand before moving forward to let her get on, eyeing Raven cautiously. Something about that girl seemed… strangely appetizing.

It was almost like Aayla could understand the serpent without even speaking to her, because Aayla glared towards Zinnath as she raised a finger and silently mouthed “No” to the Serpent before beating her powerful wings and taking to the sky.

Post by Mary Mahoney 18th October 2014, 6:33 pm

Mary finally got off the teleporter and to the city underneath. Mary took a few steps forward and fell to the ground face first, forgetting for the briefest of seconds forgot that the teleporter gave Mary motion sickness. She struggled to get up again from her fall and leaned up against the wall to brace herself. This made the feared Dark Queen stop her potential rampage from a simple teleporter that Zenshin set up. Cirven was there worrying about her and asking questions to a pissed off Dark Celestial, but as is it would be easy to stop her now. Especially with a nun that was struggling to even stand and move ahead.

As Mary groaned in utter pain she said, "I was killed for the 18th time today for distributing fliers and trying to spread the word of the Maker. The thing isn't that I am mad... is that something of value was stolen from me. Something I wanted to give to Kiersa to thank her. I was in a dark place and she pulled me out of it." Mary put her hat over her face in depression and to also hide some of her anger. This was more than herself, it was others that were involved. This what the real world felt like now, the convent enclosed and protected Kiersa and Mary from many of the horrors that she saw. Rune Knights drowning their own men and boiling them alive to simply kill off 2 Dark Guild members in the name of justice. Nakiya telling Mary there was basically only darkness in her soul and no redemption. Kiersa proving her wrong... What was really right or wrong anymore? How could people commit such atrocities and call themselves good. Why was there so much anger, resentment and fear in Mary nowadays? Even her own team seemed to have problems... In the end did anything matter anymore?

    "I am not even human..."

Cirven had followed Mary into the teleporter and tried to help her up from the ground as she fell over onto her face. A smile crept over his face at first as he saw it but he held in the urge to laugh at her. He felt like it wasn't the best time to burst out in laughter at her with how she was acting. "Are you OK, Mary?" He started to approach her to let her up but was too late as she pushed herself up and against a wall. "Why are you acti-" He stopped speaking as he heard her finally talk back to him after following her around with his questioning.

"Wait, wait!" All of the last chunk of her speech was practically a bunch of rambling after her first sentence to him. "You died eighteen times today? What are you talking about? That is a pretty bad exaggeration for having bad day." He smirked at her, taking it all in as she was just saying how bad of a day she had been having. "Let me guess. The guys who did all this to you are the same guys that that job has us going after off of some ironic justice or something?" He had a feeling he was right but still felt that the odds of it all being right were pretty low. It still made sense if they were the same people with how Mary had stormed out of the guildhall earlier.

"What we do is we do this job and find those guys who took everything from you. I won't let some idiots hurt a teammate and just get away from it all like they would never see karma knocking at their door. So no worries because we will get every last bit of what they took from you back, OK?" He spoke as he tried to make sure she understood that he was there to help her.

Raven watched silently as Kiersa and Aayla started getting ready to depart. Scratching the back of her head with a sigh, Raven looked back at Kuroe who seemed to be glaring intently at something near Aayla. Raising an eyebrow at the turn in Kuroe's behavior, she couldn’t remember the last time Kuroe glared at something this intensely and he never did without a good reason. Following his line of sight, Raven found the cause of it as a serpent or rather Aayla’s pet who was looking at her like its personal chew toy. Okaay...she should never go near that thing without some precautions.

“Uhh yeah...I’ll ride with Kuroe, You can go with Zinnath, Kiersa
” she stated in a flat tone before turning around and getting on her trusted friend who had immediately tucked her under one of his wings protectively. Smiling at the gesture, she remembered why she kept Kuroe closer than anyone. “It’s ok, Kuroe. Let’s go,” She assured him as they took off to find their angry teammate and Cirven.

It took her a few minutes of flying around but she spotted them like tiny dots on the ground near the ancient ruins together having a conversation. Mary’s face was still stoic with no expressions crossing it. Cirven still looked worried and surprised at something. Pursing her lips together in deep thought, Raven jumped down when Kuroe flew near them. “Okay. What’s actually going on here?”. She looked at Cirven and Mary as the others would arrive soon. As attentive as she acted in front of them, Raven was actually questioning Mary's weird behavior and the sudden visit to the ancient ruins. Mary even used the teleportation device even though she hated it as much as Raven did. What was she in a hurry for? Why did she look like she was going to murder someone or even bury them alive? She was not a mind reader and she didn't want to pressure Mary into tell her.

(OOC: Sorry for the not so good post. I am having a bad headache.)

Kiersa blinked when she felt the massive reptile nuzzling her hand before nodding at Aayla and climbing onto the great sea serpents back. The nun looked on as Aayla's wings took form, recalling her own wing spell... admittedly, the Water Dragon Slayer's wings probably wouldn't accidentally kill her if she kept them active for too long, unlike her own Stigmata Wings. With the trio of femme mages all mounted and ready to take to the air, she gave a nod before saying, "Let's go..." She patted Zinnath who immediately took flight.

She directed the winged sea serpent to the exit point of the teleporter below the Guild Hall, and looked over at Mary, Cirven and Raven. The nun hopped off the sea serpent, patting its scales reassuringly. “Just a moment.” Kiersa said to the behemoth before she went over to Mary, and immediately went to embrace the older girl, followed by trying to kiss her forehead. “What’s wrong?” she asked softly. “You know my door is always open to you right?” Kiersa asked of the girl before looking at the others then back to Mary. “How about you tell me all about it on the way to the Ancient Ruins hmm?” she asked before giggling slightly. “You always did like to poke around the convent, trying to find secret passages… mainly to get to the kitchens easier to steal the dohnuts. You’d think a treasure hunt like this would make you happy…” she said in a stage whisper type of voice before she tried to guide Mary over towards Zinnath, and try to get the older pink-haired girl onto the Sea Serpents back.

The nun looked over towards Cirven and Raven, looking at Kuroe for a moment. “Think your friend can manage to carry Cirven’s big butt?” she asked Raven. “I think all those heretical munchies of his are starting to make him a bit big.” said Kiersa, trying to lift Mary's mood a little.

With a light shudder of her wings Aayla closed her eyes and leaped off the edge of the building, letting the large wings catch the air and stop her from falling. Even though she could fly, she would never ever get used to being so high up in the air... when she was able to think about it, it made her almost as sick as when she rode around on a vehicle. However, when she finally shook that sick feeling, she flew down after Zinnath and Kiersa, landing safely on the ground with a light sigh.

Her yes darted over to Mary who seemed to be having a hard time, her clothes still all tattered and bloody. She bit on her lower lip as she couldn’t help but glare at the girl, but yet at the same time sh couldn’t help feeling sorry for her. As much as the nun had done her wrong, she felt like the emotional pain the girl must be going through was revenge enough for her… even though her heart told her she deserved more.

“Zinnath will carry you if you just want to take a break and clear your head. But you know you don’t have to come along if you’re hurt”
She knew the girl wasn’t hurt… how could she be? She just died and came back to life right? She had to shake the thoughts from her mind before they stated to make her feel angry. She couldn’t let herself feel like that anymore… she couldn’t become Hydras again. With another powerful beat of her wings she took to the air to put some distance between herself and the source of her frustration.

Hovering above the others, the young girl waited for them to decide what they were doing and take to the sky again before Aayla took off in the direction of their newest job. This job was supposed to be something fun for her team to do… instead it was starting out with quite a bit of frustration.

Mary was met with kindness of Kiersa and Cirven's batch of humor, she laughed emptily. Anyone that knew her enough knew there was no joy in it. This was barely suppressed anger that even a kiss on the forehead would not fix. There was things she wanted to say, but did not have the courage to do so. Mary simply said, "I died and something was taken from me is all. Also you know the Maker has funny ways to deal with Blasphemous gluttons, it's called cholesterol." Mary got on the creature known as Zinnath and decided to remain silent of her problems for most part. And then she saw their leader.

Mary turned her head away from Aayla in shame however, there was some things that she did that were unforgivable. Aayla was one of them, why did she think making the girl face her past was a good idea? Why did she do such things that were dark? Mary put her hands in the pocket that contained the letter that she carried, sealing her fate to not be part of their light. It would always be the darkness for her, but why would such things happen to her. She did the right thing helping the Rune Knights apprehend criminals, but got rewarded with what? A pair of pistols that she hid under her coat and getting drafted to join the army. She was not rea..dy to tell them about her turn in luck for the worse.

Mary quietly stated as they flew on Zinnath, "Sometimes bad things happen to good people. That is always the way the world works and there is really nothing we can do with that." Mary pulled down her hat over her eyes and kept to herself. She was not ready to talk about things yet, but it would be inevitable to do so.

Everyone had shown up before Mary could speak herself to what he had said. He felt that it went ignored by everyone showing up and quickly trying to comfort her but decided to just forget about it so that it didn't bother him. The last few words that the blonde nun had said would affect him though.

"Hey! I'm not getting bigger! You might want to check those pictures in that magazine again for the pudge you had in that!" He stuck his tongue out at Kiersa and then turned around from the group. He grabbed at his stomach to see if it was true about him getting bigger and frowned as he was able to pinch his stomach fat into his hands. "She wasn't lying!?"

He turned around and played everything off as if he wasn't just doing that and jumped up on Zinnath. "Hey Zin, remind me to cut down on the sandwiches when we get back to the guildhall.." He whispered to the snake who seemed to give him a nod after.

The group flew off towards the ancient ruins where their job required them to go. They had to beat some other men to finding some past magic items so that they didn't gain any sort of powers from them. The Magic Council seemed like they feared a Harper Goldenshine in the description of the job.

Once there, they flew around the area to see if there was any signs of other mages before descending down. Cirven pointed out a small group of them that had just walked into one of the old buildings and gave Zinnath a tap so that she knew where to land.

"I saw them go in here." Cirven said as they came to the ground in front of the building. He hopped off Zinnath and made sure to look around their surroundings. "No one out here it looks like. Guess we should just follow them in, right?" Without waiting for the others to agree he started to move in slowly. He stopped as he came to a corner and peered around it to see a group of mages walking ahead.

Attacked? Died? What the heck? Raven thought as she kept staring at mary and everyone else without speaking a word. Some things just didn’t make sense to her. Deciding to ignore it, she shook her head as if shaking the complete situation out of her head before getting on Raven again. When Kiersa asked her if she could accommodate Cirven, she was going to say yes when she saw him get on the snake instead. He must feel better with his sister’s pet, she shrugged as she took off after Zinnath.

They flew around for a while, Kuroe keeping an eye for their enemies as she nibbled on a piece of bread she saved before going after Mary. When she thought about it, her life so far was way too quiet. She stood on stages as an idol, had fun with her guildmates and kicked behinds with her teammates. Somehow, she just couldn’t shrug this heavy feeling away from the pit of her stomach. Something just wasn’t right.

Pushing the unpleasant feelings aside, Cirven’s voice was what brought her back to the task at hand. By the time she regained conscious of where she was, Kuroe had already landed and was waiting for her to get off him. She didn’t miss the look he gave her and smiled instead. She didn’t want him to worry about nothing after all.

She followed Cirven silently as she guessed the others would be following them as well. Her thoughts drifted back to Mary who was still not smiling as she usually does. She was glad her friend was okay but she was also angry at the men for doing that to her. She must have pretended to not notice it but there was something going on with her, their team leader and the nun.

“Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s go!” She exclaimed, letting the topic slide off her mind for then.

    Spoiler:

Kiersa caught sight of Cirven checking himself and gave him an innocent look. “I am a nun after all.” She said as if that would explain everything to the Flame Demon Slayer mage. As she travelled with Mary, she remained silent. Whenever the girl started to get philosophical, the blonde knew it was best to leave her be, and not poke at the subject some more. When they arrived at their destination and both Cirven and Raven went in first without even thinking about it, the nun gave a short sigh before following behind them.

As she peered around the corner with them, she saw four people. Three of them looked kind of scawney, yet well-built men. The fourth however looked much more stronger… and far more experienced than the first three. The nun mage pursed her lips as she thought about what to do, before looking at the rest of her team-mates. “Alright,” she whispered so as to not attract the enemies attention, “I’ll try and trap the leader so they can’t get in the way… Aayla and Cirven, could you two use a double Roar to clear out the corridor? Mary and Raven, finish off what’s left. We can then ask their leader where the rest of them are, and where the treasure chamber is.” Plotted Kiersa, nodding to each person in turn as she made her suggestions. “Ready?” she asked, waiting for them all to give their approval.

With the orders given, Kiersa stepped out from their hiding place into full view of the four enemies. They stopped their digging and looked over at the blonde nun, blinking for a moment at her presence. “Stigmata of the Penitent!” she quickly intoned, assuming the position as she guided the chains of holy light towards their boss… who promptly deflected the divine restraints towards one of the grunts using rapidly formed crystals. Kiersa blinked her bloody eyes as she felt the chains connect with someone… but it wasn’t her intended target. She just hoped the rest of her plan survived contact with the enemy.

Aayla followed along with the group silently, having left the overly large Zinnath at the entrance to wait for their return. She never liked being separated from her friend, and as soon as she could afford a bigger room, she would take it just so that Zinnath could come indoors with her more often. She nodded in silent understanding of herself before coming to an abrupt stop, almost crashing into  Cirven  but catching her footing before she did. She looked around confused, but sniffed at the air and quickly got the scent of a few strangers nearby. IT wasn’t until Kiersa spoke, that a plan had finally been made.

She looked over to the blond girl with a careful nod of understanding. It was a simple enough task… she just hoped that their combined roas would create enough power to bring the whole place crashing down on their heads. She took a deep breath as she glanced at her brother, and then took off behind Kiersa into the open. She released her breath with her hands before her mouth, reciting the spell.

    “Water Dragon’s Roar!”
She cried out as a large jet of water shot form from her mouth, over Kiersa’s head and towards the group of treasure hunters. It wasn’t until too late that she noticed that their leader had deflected Kiersa’s chains. What was this guy’s magic exactly?

Just as the thought occurred to her, her roar took a sudden curve in front of the man, suddenly blasting into the side of the wall as if he had hit it hard enough to change its direction.

    “What the heck..?”
She asked before a shriek escaped her lips. Two large diamond halves erupted from the ground in front and behind her, closing together suddenly and trapping the water dragon slayer inside.

“H… Hey let me out of here!”
She protested, hitting the side of the crystal in immediate panic.

Holy Tempest tracks down the hunter Empty Re: Holy Tempest tracks down the hunter

Post by Mary Mahoney 29th October 2014, 7:36 pm

Mary stepped off Zinnath and into the view of the cave. Mary sighed as they were there and walked away for a bit to the side and took to a knee to one body that they picked up and threw aside like some kind of ragdoll after everything of value was stolen. How could Mary show the Maker's mercy when such evil exist in this world? Those willing to hurt the innocent and laugh about it should not know the Maker's love. Far from it, they should know her wrath. Mary closed the eyes and bid farewell to the body... her own body. Mary returned to the group in time to hear Kiersa's speech, the girl had gotten so much stronger now. No more stuttering and now taking charge of the group. The strategy would have been fine, but there was one problem with the plan. Mary said, "Kiersa there is only one problem with that plan!" It was then that Aayla already cast her spell and it simply curved away before the water mage was trapped in a crystal prison. Mary finished what she wanted to say, "They are Crystal mages meaning that fire and water are not really going to do much against their magic. They are also supported by gun mages in there, so we need to be careful for support. You actually need to improvise and get them stuck in melee combat to tie them up." Mary looked at the tunnel that would get them all killed if they ran down it. Mary also looked at Aayla and sighed, nobody really had magic to remove her from that except by defeating the mage. No cover, not place to make a defensive position except...

Maker groaned, "Okay Aayla and Cirven you can kick my butt later and even kill me if needed after this. Not that it matters anymore..."" Mary placed her keys on her wrists and wore the keychain like a bracelet and walked ahead. She then unleashed the darkness of her soul, oozing off her body in wisps like a small mist. She was ready, but no twinkle of mischief in her eyes associated with it. Nor did the smile, but she needed to know what to do. There was always a weak point to gems that enough pounds of pressure to break the gem. 1.5 tons of a small girl kicking at one such point of a gem would cause it to crack and practically shatter. This caused her to smirk slightly, but saw what the boss had at hand. He had a crystal bow aimed at Aayla. Everything seemed to be in slow motion as it was let loose. The way it was spinning in the air towards her friend. It was getting closer and closer, but it would not hit Aayla. Mary shoulder bumped Aayla into the wall for cover, but took the arrow instead in the right eye. The arrow pushing back Mary a little bit, but despite the immense pain that coursed through her face she could not stop the momentum. The tunnel was a giant kill zone, there was no cover... So what could make one? Mary was on her knees as she flipped through her keys, gasping in pain as she did so. There was one key to make cover and that was her Golden Key. "Aries give us cover-" Mary then received another arrow in the chest for her troubles that knocked her flat on her back. The Ram freaked and put up a wool wall halfway down the corridor to block the more volley of arrows. Mary hoped they would understand to ignore her for a bit and use the opportunity and new cover. However whoever was close to her could here her try to gasp out, "Drop the wall on them... Make it top heavy..."

Cirven agreed with the nun's plan and followed just behind his sister but he waited to fire off his own blast until his sister's had collided with the enemy. He took in a deep breath and readied his attack but stopped for a brief time once he saw one of the enemy in front of them slap away his sister's blast of water. He figured it was a lucky strike of some kind and decided to attack anyways. His cheeks puffed up as some holy flames pushed out a bit from in between his lips and then he let out a ball of flames at the enemy.

"Flame Demon's Rage!" He yelled out as the ball was sent flying at the mage who slapped away the blast earlier. Cirven smiled thinking that his blast would succeed where his sister's failed but was proven wrong. The man simply swatted the mass of flames the opposite direction the water blast was sent.

"Kiersa! Your plans suck!" He yelled out at the nun who was held down by her own spell. Just after he spoke he was surprised when his sister was enclosed in a crystal of some sort next to him. "Hey! Let her ou-Whoa!" He started to yell but was cut off by the sudden crystal arrow flying at him. He just barely dodged it from piercing into him but it managed to cut through his sleeve and slice his upper arm.

He was about to yell at the man again but noticed the crystal bow was now aimed at his helpless sister. Without thinking he jumped in front of her to either block or take the shot but Mary had cut in front of him and took it herself directly into her face.

"Mary!? You idiot! Why would you get in the way like that!?" He scolded the girl but knew it wasn't the time to keep that up. He was close enough to hear her speak as the volley of arrows was stopped by Aries. "How are we supposed to do that?" He grunted out.

"Doing my own plan. Back me up guys!" He yelled out and then used his propulsion spell to shoot himself around and towards the enemies at the other side at high speeds. He came out of his boost of speed holding the Kukan now in its Agneya form. The blade then quickly was consumed by flames that formed around it and extended its range. "Slayer form, Ageneya. Absolution." Cirven spoke out in a low tone and then slashed his blade out hitting the nearest mage to him with the blade and the flames while hitting all of the rest but the mage who was subdued by Kiersa with the flames. The man who took the brunt of the attack fell to the ground with a burning cut across his chest while the others yelled out in pain from the attack.

The crystal mage only took a short time with dealing with the pain and formed a crystal blade which he used to slash at Cirven who parried the attempts but was forced into a deadlock with his back against the wall from the last attack. The other enemy started to charge him while he was vulnerable.
