Aly and Kat(Private) A Change of Luck

Alyia had been walking for a while now in no direction in particular. She didn’t know where she was going, she had just decided that she was going to go somewhere today. An adventure to somewhere that she had never been. But, he walking had led her no where was she ended up back up at the Phoenix Mountains. With a small sigh of disappointment that her travels had gotten her no where, she walking into the tree’s of the mountains. Walking through the trees she had decided that she was going to explore the mountain’s as her fix to not finding something new. Taking another step forward onto a rock that was in front of her, the rock slipped from under her foot causing her to fall down. With a curse escaping her lips she fell back onto her butt. Her luck was not working for her today, then again it never worked for her. Sighing she placed her hand onto the dirty ground and stood up. Looking up at the sky above her she took another breath and walked forward, continuing her exploration in the mountains. After walking for a while up the mountainside Alyia looked up at the sky the sun was now right above her. She was hungry and being her forgot to bring lunch. Letting out a breath she moved to the closest tree and climbed it. She had offered Oya to come with her on her adventure’s but instead she had wanted to stay with Deniel, it seemed like Oya like him more than she liked her own owner. Moving her hand to her shoulder to where Oya would usually sit a small thing of loneliness surged through her. Why was she blessed with such bad luck?

Katherine was enjoying the most peaceful of days up in the Phoenix mountains. Sun was shining, the view of Fiore was splendid and Katherine baking some delicious brownies to enjoy by herself was nothing but heaven. Katherine was quickly near the top of the mountainside with little to no incident and did one thing that she missed so much doing... Singing. She sang near top of her lungs in the Celestial language and it echoed throught the mountain as if there was an entire choir backing her up. She missed her few moments of singing in unison with an angelic choir, but this would be as close as it was going to get. She had to do this in secret however or people could find out what she is.

Hopefully nobody heard her singing or this would get quickly awkward.

From her place in the tree Alyia could see and hear every noise that surrounded her. So hearing the voice of someone singing surprised her. Why had someone come so far out into the woods? ‘You’re out in the woods,’ her mind thought at her. Right. She was out in the woods. With a roll of her eyes she listened to the person singing, it was definitely a girl. Listening more Alyia recognized the voice. It was Katherine. What was she going out in the woods? ‘What are you doing in the woods,’ the voice in her head thought back at her. “Ugh.” Jumping from her tree she landed on the ground silently, like she had for the years that she had been alone. Walking through the woods silently she made her way to Katherine. Spotting the pink haired person in a small clearing Alyia took a step forward to make her presence known. Entering the clearing she watched the older girl sing. It was beautiful.

Katherine sang her hear out for those in heaven, but it was growing late. Katherine's enchanting opera voice only worked in the Celestial language, otherwise it would not be the same. It would be an off key voice that would have cats jumping off buildings. She sighed and turned around to spot Alyia, where did she come from? She stood there for a few brief seconds in silent before resume smiling, but by now Aly would know that the smile she had on was always fake. She had little to no emotions in actuality, smiling and happiness was just learned reflex. Katherine replied, "Oh nothing. Just enjoying this nice mountaintop and the pleasant view. It is a very fortunate day for me. How about you?~" She hoped that Aly would keep quiet about her singing, it was beautifully unnatural. It was obvious that there were some magic involved.

A frown grew upon Alyia's face as she saw Katherine's face. She knew that it was fake, but what could she do. Listening to Katherine explain what she was doing it was obvious that she didn't want anyone else to know that she had been singing up here. "Just walking," Alyia said as she remembered her original plan of the day only for it to be spoiled. "And having bad luck, but that is nothing new. It follow me like the plague." Alyia shrugged her shoulders and closed her eyes as if she didn't care about her luck being bad. Opening her eyes and looking at Katherine, Alyia felt like something was going to happen to her today that would change her luck. "Hey Katherine how about we do something. You're here in the woods and so am I. I wouldn't really ask someone this, but I need to do something. So, would you?" Alyia looked up at the pink haired girl expectantly. Would she say yes? Or would she deny her and leave Alyia alone?

Katherine looked at Aly and wondered what kind of mischief she was intom but seemed to be having a bad day. Bad luck followed her everywhere? What kind of cursed existance did she have? Katherine simply raised an eyebrow, but decided to play along, It was fun to have others perform mischief after all. So Katherine nodded to Aly and asked, "What is it I can do for you dear? Of course I will help~" Katherine was calculating after all, she did not want to isolate a team member. Despite lacking emotions, she had reasons to keep them happy and well. So Katherine was ready for anything Aly could throw at her.

Smirking at Katherine's agreement Alyia was a little glad that she agreed to do something with her. The question was, what should they do? Looking at Katherine and then at the surrounding forest. Thought popped into her head. There was a cave around here that she had seen from her tree. She was going to adventure into it alone with the change of possibly dying without anyone knowing. Though now she had Katherine, the older girl somewhat made her more confident on entering the cave. "There is a cave near by tbat I would like to check out, I saw it from the tree that was up in earlier. I think that it would be fun to explore the cave. Who knows what we will find in there." Alyia looked up at the pink haired girl with hope in her eyes. Could Katherine say yes? Besides even if no other adult agreed to go with Alyia she was going to go on her own. "So are you coming?" With that Alyia started in the diection of thd cave

Alyia had walked for at least five minutes before thw cave came into sight. She would usually would not venture into a cave, but she was so bored that it didn't matter what the location was that supplied her with the entertainment that she wanted and needs.

Katherine laughed at Alyia's idea, it did sound like fun. It mattered not that it seemed trivial, but it was with what she hoped was a friend. Was it what it felt like though? It was still something that piqued her curiosity as she handed Aly the last brownie while saying, "Sounds fun dear.~" Katherine was following the young girl into the cave, but was very cautious of it. These places tend to be very dangerous or housed some kind of animal that required protection. Katherine stayed quiet however and decided to just watch over Alyia in order to protect her.

How she would badly fail...

Taking step by step into the cave Alyia looked at the walls. They were slightly we from the water dripping down them and they gave off a shine. Reaching her hand out Alyia ran her hand along the wall feeling the moist stone. Taking her eyes off of the wall Alyia looked up at the ceiling, Until a couple steps ago the ceiling was pretty much smooth, but now stalactites were ejecting from the roof of the cave. Alyia kept looking up at the ceiling when her foot hit something causing her to fall forward and the floor wit her hands scraping them all up. Looking back behind her Alyia saw the reason for her trip. Right in the middle of the cave was a stalagmite sticking up out of the floor. Wow out of everything in the entire cave she just had to trip on the only thing sticking out of the floor. Pushing her self off of the floor and brushing herself off Alyia continued forward. What could happen worse than that?

She wasn't prepared for what was planned for her in the future.

Katherine walked down the cave and watched the formation of stalagtites and stalagmites. Years of water and condensation formed them. The cave felt familiar though, like if Kat had been here long ago. What was it? The Dark Angel walked down the cave where the walls and ground were wet. It was going to be slippery in here and thus light her palm og her hand with a ball of lightning to dimly light the area. Katherine asked, "So you like pranks, chocolate and spelunking? Interesting combination there dear~"

Why was this place eeling familiar?

Alyia nodded at Katherine's question. She knew that it was quite odd, but it matched her. Taking a couple more steps forwards Alyia looked around some more. This place started to seem lurking like there was something bad going to happen. Alyia would usually keep going, if it was just herself that is, but she had someone with her and her bad luck could wear off on Katherine. She didn't want to burden anyone else. Turning around ready to tell Katherine to start heading back Alyia slipped on the wet rock that covered the floor and went tumbling back hitting a stalagmite. Rubbing the back of her head Alyia didn't notice the cave shaking. Suddenly a crack was hear from above her. Looking up Alyia saw that, there, in one of the stalactite s crack was growing. Alyia crossed her fingers and could only hope that it did not fall seeing how she was not in the shape to be able to avoid it.

A minute went by and Alyia let out a sigh. She rubbed the back of her head again and attempted to get to her feet only to slip again. Another cracking noise was heard and Alyia only had a minute to look up to see the stalactite falling down and heading towards her. Alyia knew that she wasn't going to be able to move so she closed her eyes and though of the one person that had brought light into her life, Deniel. She knew that this was going to hurt him. He would have yelled at her to move, but with a throbbing skull and luck like hers, there was no way that she was going to get out of this. 'Deniel, I love y-' Alyia's thought process was stopped as soon as the large rock pierced through her. Right below her heart.

Katherine continued to move forward, even when Alyia fell down and looked at the cave wall with the light. There were small paintings on the wall as she opened her eyes wide as she remembered what this place was. This was the cave where she played with her friends as she was a mortal, the simple drawings surviving the passage of time. There was silent rememberance at a time when she had emotions and was in constant agony because of them. There was famine, poverty and misery in her old life, but painting was the way she set herselg free. The Dark Angel silently stared for a couple of seconds until she heard a crack and a stalactite pierced her friends chest.

Katherine approached closer to the injured girl and held her hands. She had no emotion, but knew the value of not dying alone. There was no worse fate than that... Katherine would know for herself. She watched as the light slowly faded from Alyia's eyes and watched as the girls soul emerged from her body. Katherine knew that she passed on, but gave most innapropriate smile and stated, "Sorry dear, but I am afraid that you have died. Is there any messages that you would like me to pass on? The Angel of Death should pass by shortly, please do not fear her. That Dark Angel is quite understanding, but got landed with grimest of jobs." Katherine saw the irony of this, for the angel had died in this very cave as well. Starvation and cold would do that to a late teen girl.

In fact Alyia died mere 5 feet from where she herself passed on.

Alyia's soul looked down at Katherine who wassitting besides her human body. He soul looked much differeng from her body with it's long pink hair and wings that faded from white to black. She was dressed in a white gown that reached her ankles. "I have no messages to pass on, but I ask of you one thing. I want you to keep an eye on Deniel. He was... important to me and I wish to see him safe. You might not know him, or ever know him, but if by chance that you do meet him, make sure he doesn't do anything that he will regret later." With that Alyia's soul took one last look at her body and smiled softly. Though despite her luck, she had had a pretty fitting life. That was much more enjoyable at the very end of it.

Katherine looked at Alyia and nearly looked in shock for briefest of seconds as she saw the wings. Really, she was angelic material? Those wings do not normally sprout when an individual died and meant that she was going to be sent in heaven, trained for a couple centuries and returned. However Kat had a much better idea in mind, but only because she was overworked and needed help that heaven was not going to give. So she took matters in her own hands and sent a message that she was going to take the new arrival. Shed give the girl field training if she had to.

atherine ppulled out the stalactite out of her chest and had a look at wounds. It looked okay enough to be recycled as she hummed. Katherine said, "Well today apparently is your lucky day-" Katherine was most likely to be interrupted, but Alyia could begin to see that that there was a pair of soul like black wings out of Kats back. Kat was not human at all.

Alyia raised a single eyebrow at Katherine what did she mean? Alyia never had any luck. But, upon seeing the black wings that were forming on tbe pink haired female's back Alyia knew that the luck that she was talking about was going to be blessed upon her. Tilting her head to the left Alyia's soul looked down at Katherine. "What are you talking about? I don't have any good luck only bad. What would ever make you think that today was my lucky day. Look at the body at your feet, that is me. I died. I died from a stupid rock falling from the ceiling. The only rock falling from the ceiling. It is as if all of my bad luck was gathered up and thrust down, just to end my life. Explain to me this, how is it my lucky day." Alyia had stayed calm through her entire speech. He face though way another story. Tears were leaking from her eyes and running down her face. "The only good thing, the only luck that I have ever had was Deniel. Now I have lost him too." Alyia's soul's eyes never left Katherine. The teal eyes holding the innocence of the girl.

Katherine was interrupted by the young girl, she hated that very much. However given the state of her mind there could hardly be any blame for her. It was not everyday that one dies and was talking to the Dark Angel of Chaos. It mattered not however as she walked over a skeletal remains that lied in a corner, pieces were missing but the skull was intact. Katherine stated, "And this is where I died 50,000 years from now from starvation and cold. Alone in the world and apparently nobody bothered to bury me." Katherine sighed and look up to the girl and asked her a very important decision, "Dear if you have not seen my black wings then your sight needs work. Anyways I am known as the Angel of Chaos, tasked with putting stop to chaos, Dark Gods, Fallen Angels and Godchilds... Let's just say I am beggining to get a bit overworked in my job and Heaven is not sending another Dark Angel to help me. So unlike me, you get a choice to spend a couple centuries training in heaven or I field train you on Earthland right now. And judging by the black tips of your wings that your first time around was not the happiest in Earthland.~"

On the contrary, black winged anything meant she had an utter miserable life. Maybe one or 2 good things enough to keep her sane, but not happy... Almost reminded her of herself.

Alyia was speechless. Katherine had died in the very same cave that she had just died in. She had seen Katherines wings how could she have missed them. "I see your wings Katherine, I would indeed have to be blind to miss them." Alyia listened to the rest of what she had to say. So she too was not human. A Dark Angel. But what was this about her going to Heaven and then being brought back much later or staying with her and having field training. Most confusingly what was this about her having wings hat had black tips? Alyia's soul shifted so that she could look behind her and indeed true to Katherine's word, there was a pair of wings that started off white and faded to black. She was in awe. Shifting her gaze back the pink haired person in front of her Alyia opened her mouth, "What am I?"

Katherine chuckled, "Well dear, you possesed a strong soul and when you died, it sparked. All that bottled up emotion made your soul stronger than others. However the color of your wings determine whether you are Light or Dark Angel. Katherine finally prepared Alyia's dead body and propped her against the wall. The poor girl's features would have to be fixed, but that was what magic was for. She fixed her hair slightly and decided to continue, "We are Dark aligned Angels, not to be mistaken for Fallen ones. Think of us like the Gods personal hitmen of sorts, we are supposed to fight Fallen Angels, Dark Gods, Demons and corrupt Nephalem while attempting to remain a secret... And they send just one to Fiore and expect me to keep that... With the look of Katherines eyes she may have been mildly annoyed. This job was beggining to get on her by having to maintain responsibilities of ES, heaven and Chaos control. She needed some help...

"Think of it like this, I could hand you to heaven or allow you to train you here in Fiore and be home in time to kiss your boyfriend every night. I really am not a stickler for rules..."

Alyia nodded at Katherine's explanation. It did make sense, but Alyia was confused on one thing. She didn't have only one colour of wings. She had two. White and black, what did it mean? "I'll come with you Katherine. One thing though Deniel isn't my boyfriend he is just someone important to me." Alyia didn't exactly want to lie about her and Deniel's relationship, but he had asked her to keep it a secret and tell no one, not a soul. "Katherine, I have but one question, my wings are not just one colour. What does that mean?" Alyia looked at her body that was sitting up against a rock. Katherine had fixed it. All that was left of any sign that Alyia was killed was a scar where the stalactite had pierced through her. Alyia's soul moved so thay she was staning right next to her body. It was weird seeing it. But, then again if someone had seen thier dead body in front of them wouldn'f they think it was weird.

Katherine looked Aly and laughed at her stubborness despite the fact she confessed a few seconds that she loved him. Katherine looked at the body, it was almost completely fixed now, but the scar would forever be there. The one imperfect thing to a beautiful body. Katherine sat down next to the empty husk and sighed, this was hard as Katherine exhaled and slipped to a coma. However a spectral image came out and it almost mirrored what Aly looked. Pink hair, slim figure and raven feathered wings. She stepped forward and looked at her in the innocent eyes and stated, "Dear your dying breath was Deniel I love you. I believe it does not get much clearer than that." She then started grapping Aly by the wings and started tickling her there. They were always so sensitive to touch, but so much fun to tease. Especially when the elder one was lied to! She also did it to feel the luster of the wings which were of fine quality, soft as a doves even the black ones.

"Because each wing is unique, white means purity and innocence. Black means sadness and pain. It marks what you were in life and how you lived... I should be getting sentimental but I don't remember my emotions."

Alyia jumped away from Katherine as she tickled her wings. It was a new sensation that she had never felt before. Turning to look at Katherkng she wondered how she knew her dying words, she hadn't said them out loud. Then again Kathering was talking to a dead person's soul. Taking another step away from the pink haired person so that she wouldn't touch the sensitive part of her wings. She heard why her wings were the way that they were and nodded. That too made sense to her now. "Katherine, you tell no one, not a soul alive or dead of my final words," Alyia spoke to the pink haired angel, "Please, Katherine." With her final words before death she had broken the only promise that she had made with Deniel. Guilt flooded through her. Looking at Katherine with large innocent eyes Alyia begged her silently.

Katherine chuckled, "You take me for someone that meddles in other peoples affairs. I should feel insulted dear!~" Katherine continued to attempt to tickle the wings, but Alyia started to play keep away. She was just cute in a way, but Katherine had to show her the ropes. Taking the recently born Angels hand she let her step into her body and settle her in. It would feel different, but she wouldn't be able to move. Katherine stepped into her body and woke with a gasp. Body reacting to having a soul again and a mind to think. Katherine gave one look at Aly's body and said, "Oh right you died, lets give that heart a jump start. This may hurt a little.~" Katherine opened Aly's mouth and blew some pure air in her lungs in the form of CPR. Katherine then rubbed her hands together and shocked the hear back to life. Aly would be out of the world of death and back to mortal coil.

"You personal affairs dear are of not my concern and not my priority. Juat remember to take it easy for a bit. Theres a little bit more soul than the body is used to, so you may get some sporadic headaches."

Alyia woke with a sudden pain echoing through her. It lasted only a moment, but the pain the pounded through her head did not cease. She could not think she could not do much of anything. Bringing her hands up to her head she massaged her temples. It took a minute before the pain eben started to fade and when it had, the entire series that had just occured passed by like a movie in Alyia's mind. Right, she wasn't human now. She was somewhere in between. Something like Kat. Hearing Kat talk about head aches she rolled her eyes. Should of said that before shoving her back into her body. Looking up at Katherine, Alyia attempted to stand once again. Her legs under her were unstable. Placing her hand against the wall of the cave the steadied herself and looked around. It was like she saw everything in a new light. Taking a step forwards Alyia slipped. Great, just great, even now that she was dead her bad luck followed her. But, suddenly it was as if the world's luck was staring to work for her, her feet steadied under her and she was able to get her balance back. Looking up at Katherine with wide eyes the blonde wanted to know what had just happened, why was the worlds luck actually working for her.

Katherine helped Alyia up on her feet and held her hand and walked her out of the cave and into the light. Katherine let her see the whole new world in an angels eyes, in all its ugly and yet beautiful design. Katherine said, "It's been a while since an Angel of Omens been born. You are an Angel that manipulates luck and whether it works on peoples favors or not. So you have potential to do great and terrible things. You balance Holy and Unholy energies, for luck does not choose sides. Let's say when they pray for Lady Luck, they are reffering to you dear.~" Katherine chuckled as Katherine grabbed her temple, the head throbbed madly but would recede in time. She gave Aly a crystal and placed it in her hands to examine, it was going to be hers for a long time.

"That's your Angel's Grace. A crystallized piece of your soul, the leftover human remnants of it anyways.~"

Alyia looked at the outside world. It was so bland? Ugly? Injured? But despite all of the ugliness, Alyia spotted light after light. A soft glowing from every tree. Their life source. So tbough the world was dark it held a beauty that only the dead could see. Step after step she followed Katherine into the light. Listening to her talk about what Alyia was, the blonde smirked a little. Luck was now not working against her, but now was working for her. She could also change the luck of other people? He life had just gotten just all that much better. Pranks just got all that much easier. Seeing Katherine hand her something she opened her palm and examined the stone that was placed there. It had a base of a translucent blue purple and to add to its beauty as if it wasn't pretty enough a golden opegue colour was mixed in, in small swirls. Alyia lifted the small stone out of her palm and held it up to the sunlight. The colours that passed through it were so amazing as they reflected down on her. If one was to look closely at the scene they would see a short girl being shined in a light blue colour, yes, but if they looked closer they would be able to see the wings of an angel on her back slightly spread.

Snappkng out of her wonder and awe at fhe stone Alyia looked at Katherine. A smile scetched across her face and tears started to well up. As if a strange person took over the blonde, Alyia took a couple steps in the pink haired girls direction before giving her a hug. Such a small interaction felt so weord for the new angel, but in this moment in time it felt so right. At this moment, Alyia was not a new angel, she had not faced a terrible past, she had not just died. She was a normal sixteen year old. "Thank you Katherine, thank you."
