Description:
Assassination magic is one of the most cruel magics a person can attain. It is magic designed with the single purpose of snuffing the life out of a target, no matter who they might be. It is magic designed to turn the opponents magic power against them, either draining them of all power they have, or allowing said power to explode from the inside.

As a trained assassin, Xana passively has higher agility and speed, allowing her to make quick movements and turns without the use of magic. Additionally, this allows Xana to use both hands equally - As an ambidextrous.
Aki no Ansatsu.
When striking something, be it with magic or with fists, Xana leaves behind a dark butterfly mark on its surface. On itself, this mark allows the girl to track her target, knowing where it is over a distance of two-hundred meters. The mark has no other effects, but comboes well with her spells. Marks can only be placed on one target and one object at a time. If the girl strikes another object, the mark on the first object will disappear. Same goes for striking multiple individuals/creatures. The mark is invisible to most, and cannot be removed through most natural means. The marks will naturally fade over the duration of an hour.
Ansatsu no Izanami
This ability allows Xana to see clearly during even the darkest nights. In addition, this sharp eyesight assists her in discerning illusions from reality. It allows her to pierce through illusions one rank higher than her own, although any higher skilled illusionists will still take effect.

Description: Once a target has been marked with Aki no Ansatsu, Xana becomes capable of invoking the power within the mark, to destroy the target. The damage done to the target is proportional to the amount of marks that have been placed on the target. Currently, Xana is only capable of placing and triggering a single mark on a target at a time. This mark deals D-rank damage, and can be triggered inside fifteen meters of her opponent.

Name: Shadowstep
Rank: D
Type: Lost Magic, Movement
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: Two turns
Description: Once a target has been marked with Aki no Ansatsu, Xana becomes capable of stepping through the shadows, arriving at where the marker is placed. The transfer is almost instant, and will appear to an onlooker as if shadows envelop Xana, before shadows appear at the mark.

Name: Ansatsu no Mahi

Type: Lost Magic, Offensive
Duration: Two turns.
Cooldown: Five turns.
Description: Once a target has been marked with Aki no Ansatsu, Xana becomes capable of triggering a secondary spell. Ansatsu no Mahi is designed to slow down a victim. Triggering the marks, it briefly paralyses the limb onto which the mark was placed. (If the mark was placed onto the right arm, the right arm will feel numb for the duration.) If placed on the head, causes dizzyness and blurry vision. Mages who are significantly stronger (Two ranks) than her are unaffected.

- Agility and speed:
Assassination magic allows the user to quickly engage or disengage in combat, allowing for hit and run tactics. - Damage potential:
The damage potential of assassination magic versus a single target is phenomenal. Due to the additive way the damage works, it starts out slow but quickly builds to lethal strikes. - Stealth:
Assassination magic additionally allows the caster certain means of hiding or masking their pressence and intentions.
Weaknesses:
- Strenght:
The assassin needs to be small, quick and nimble. It means that anything directly related to strenght is impossible for the assassin to perform. - Multiple targets:
The assassination magic can only ever affect one target at a time. Due to the ramping-up of damage, an assassin is at a severe disadavantage against groups. - Initiative:
If the Assassin does not have the initiative for combat, the assassin is at a severe disadvantage. The first couple of surprising strikes is usually required for scales to tip in the assassins favor. - Endurance:
Quite akin to strenght, the assassins magic is built for quick bursts of combat. Drawn out battles relying on endurance will exhaust the assassin, allowing the opponent to outlast them quite easily.

Since this spell is triggered with markers already placed on the body of an opponent, it cannot be dodged. - Additive damage:
Since this spell requires other attacks to have landed first, the combinations can quickly get out of hand. - Timing damage.
As this spell allows Xana to trigger it at any point she pleases while within range, she can inflict damage onto an opponent who is trying to focus, allowing her to occasionally stop spellcasting or break an opponents concentration.

- Limited Use:
This spell cannot be used against an opponent until they have been tagged with a mark. In short, if the other attacks are dodged, this spell is completely unusable. - Repetition:
This spell burns all the marks of Aki no Ansatsu on the target, meaning that additional attacks have to land, before this spell can be used again. - Predictable
Opponents that know they have been marked, knows what the spell is capable of doing, and can thusly prepare with damage reduction or spell shields. - Timing Window and range
Having to be in range, and having to use this spell before the time runs out, the window of opportunity is often very small.

Duration: Instant
Cooldown: Two turns
Description: Once a target has been marked with Aki no Ansatsu, Xana becomes capable of stepping through the shadows, arriving at where the marker is placed. The transfer is almost instant, and will appear to an onlooker as if shadows envelop Xana, before shadows appear at the mark.
Strengths:
- Speed:
The movement is near instantaneous, and since she is covered in a thick shroud of shadows she is intangible during the effect, meaning she won't get hit by spells if she shadowsteps through them. - Distance:
The distance through which Xana can use shadowstep is vastly larger than most regular people can teleport at this level of magic. (Twenty meters) - Low Cooldown
The Shadowstep has a relatively low cooldown, and does not make the character feel dizzy or bewildered upon usage.
Weaknesses:
- Setup:
To use this spell properly, requires forethought and setup. If placed poorly, the teleport destination will be poor. In addition, after having been used, there will be no available marks to teleport to again. - Predictable:
Once an individual has figured out how this magic functions, it is very easy to predict where the shadowstep is going, and thus counter it immediately. - Overlapping
Since this spell consumes the marks on the victim, it limits the damage potential that Xana can unleash offensively. - Draining
Continued usage of the shadowstep drains Xana's mana rather quickly. The technique is meant for quick and short fights, not prolonged ones.

Cooldown: Five turns.
Description: Once a target has been marked with Aki no Ansatsu, Xana becomes capable of triggering a secondary spell. Ansatsu no Mahi is designed to slow down a victim. Triggering the marks, it briefly paralyses the limb onto which the mark was placed. (If the mark was placed onto the right arm, the right arm will feel numb for the duration.) If placed on the head, causes dizzyness and blurry vision. Mages who are significantly stronger (Two ranks) than her are unaffected.

Once again, this spell is triggered instantly, and thus cannot be dodged. - Timing:
Just like Invoke, this spell can be used when it pleases Xana. The numbing of a limb at the perfect timing can make a world of difference. - Incapacitating:
When struck to the head, side-effects can be severe. It allows the girl to capture a target rather than outright kill it.
Weaknesses:
- Limited Use:
This spell is completely useless if marks have not been placed on the victim beforehand. - Constricted:
This spell inflicts no lasting effects, and as such can be rendered completely pointless in several situations. - Predictabilty:
Those who are familliar with her spells will know they have been marked, and can thus take the effects of the spell into account, preparing for it before it happens. - Draining:
Unlike the Invoke, Mahi requires a lot more mana to seal away the movements of a limb. The stronger an opponent is, the more mana this skill takes.

Strengths:
- Precise:
This attack is extremely precise, meaning that th girl could hit an unmoving fly at max range with no problem. - Speed and size:
Because the dart is so small, it moves rather fast and is hard to spot. It flies about as fast as she could throw a similar sized object. (10m/s) - First strike:
The projectile is completely silent, and will not cast a shadow. This makes it perfect for surprise attacks, and virtually undectable when used against someones back.
Weaknesses:
- Limited Use:
The dart can only sustain a single shot before dispersing. - Obvious intentions:
Creating a dart out of shadow makes the intent of the technique rather obvious. - Low damage:
The Dart doesn't inflict the full damage of a regular D-rank. - Limited Range:
The dart loses its magical potency rather quickly, making it incapable of travelling further than fifteen meters before dispersing.
