    Job Description:

Deniel opened his eyes slowly, very slowly, to a familiar yet unfamiliar world. There was a fluid all around him that he knew he had tasted before. He felt crammed, stuffed, but he could still move his limbs. He was in a position that was curled up inside of his strange fluid. This strange world. What didn't make sense to him was the fact that he was still alive inside water. He should be dead. As his eyes opened up and looked at the world around him, he saw that he was in a confined area. Why am I still alive? He thought to himself. He looked down to see that his body was much smaller, and he had no clothes on. Then, a he could hear a familiar voice speaking beyond the walls. It was a female, and her voice was soft and sweet, almost angelic. He couldn't hear what she was saying except for one word: "Diabolos..." he heard her say. Diabolos... Deniel repeated in his head, Why is that name familiar? That's when Deniel suddenly became separated from this world, and sprung back into reality.

His real eyes opened up in surprise. He was in his room in Eclipse Soul's headquarters. All that happened was he fell asleep and had a weird dream. Deniel was breathing heavily, and he sighed in relief to know that it was just a dream. He looked down at his hand, which was shaking in fear. He didn't realize that something so little could scare him so much. "What happened, Deniel?" Deniel clenched his shaking hand and stood up from his bed. Nidhogg was leaning against the wall that was next to his door. He grabbed the katana and secured it in his belt slot where he usually kept it. "A bad dream, Nidhogg." Deniel told him and rubbed his forehead. Not only in the dream, but he also heard that name before. And that same voice...the woman. Who was she? And who was Diabolos? "Should we go on a job, Deniel?" That was something Deniel hadn't done in a while, and it was the one thing that could distract him no matter what. He nodded at his blade and looked under his bed for his hidden stash of jobs.

He had updated it recently, to jobs that were much more difficult and more of his rank. It hadn't been too long since he passed his A rank exam, but he secretly obtained a new weapon: a new secret weapon that was about to make all of his jobs a whole lot easier. Deniel didn't bother searching through them, since he knew that all of them were dangerous and intriguing to him. The very first one he picked up, he looked at the title and read the description. He looked up with a very serious look on his face and nodded. He walked over to his door where his coat was hanging and his boots were leaning against each other. He grabbed his coat first and flung it right on himself. He shoved the request form in his pocket and then quickly put both of his boots on. "Let's rock, Nidhogg!"

Deniel kicked open the door to his room and looked left and right down the hallway. No one was there, just like he wanted. "Good." He nodded and then started down the hallway that lead to the nearest exit after closing his door. He moved swiftly and silently down the hallway, just to make sure that no one would ever see him or find him. He had been in the guild for a long time now, and not a single member new him. Now that he was one of its aces and a higher rank, he planned to keep it that way. "No one should know about me..." he whispered to himself, although he didn't sound too happy about it. "Ever." Deniel reached the exit and walked out into the cold climates of the Phoenix Mountains. Eclipse Soul was perched high up on the mountains, but luckily for him, the Haunted Village was just at the base of the other side of the mountains. It sounded like he was going to have to travel a long way, but it was the complete opposite for him. He had traveled all the way across Fiore, whether it was north, south, east, or west, he visited every corner of the country for his jobs.

Phoenix Mountains had very steep cliffs, cliffs that he never really bothered to tread before. However, right now, he decided to try something new. "Hmmmm..." Deniel looked at one of the steep snow covered cliffs and a smirk appeared on his face. He studied the distance between him and the bottom of the mountains. Deniel took several steps back from where he was and then turned around. He suddenly went into a full-on sprint and jumped right off the cliff in a leap of faith. Once he landed on the steep snowy cliff, his boots started to slide against it and send him straight to the bottom at a lightning-fast speed. Not literally, but he was going pretty damn fast. Deniel crouched himself down to help with his balancing. "Yee-Haw! Yeah!" Deniel was enjoying the thrill of the chilly wind in his face, which he somehow seemed to be used to. Just like he was in the Silent Glaciers...and how Iceberg rang a bell. He, however, wasn't thinking about this. He was more concerned about the landing he was going to have. At the speed he was going, it wasn't going to be long until he reached the bottom.

In addition, he also started to slow down from so much friction going against him. Deniel frowned and looked down at the base of the mountains, readying his jump. He pushed his feet forward as hard as he could, leaping into the air and off the mountain. He performed a single flip, and then met the ground with a hard crash. This crash was nothing he couldn't take, though, as he merely brushed it off and smiled. "Woo! Woo-hoo! That was fun!" He looked back at the large trail that he left going from the mountain all the way down near the base. "Eh. It'll cover itself." He shrugged and started to head right: the way that would lead him around the Phoenix Mountains and towards the Haunted Village. "I hope this place turns out to be scarier than the Spooky Forest..."

"When I can feel my skin crawl! ~ When I'm about to crack! ~ The hunger for revenge gives me strength to stand! ~ I will be your deadman! ~ With nothing but this blood on my hands! ~ Stuck in your "wonderland"! ~ I just want to make you bleed like me! Deniel was singing a song to himself as he walked along the edges of the Phoenix Mountains. "Deniel, what are you singing? And why can't you just fly there?" Deniel was just about to go into the next lyric before Nidhogg had interrupted him. "Dunno', it just sounds cool. And I want to save as much strength as I can." Nidhogg was a tad bit confused about what he just said, "Strength? How much strength is there in a Partial Take Over?" Deniel smirked as he walked in only one direction towards his destination. "Oh you'll find out, Nidhogg...heheheh."

While Deniel was walking, he began to let his thoughts run free just like he always did. Since he seemed to think about moments when he's in combat, he decided to take this as an opportunity to actually think. He let in a deep breath through his nose and started to think, an image popping into his head. This image was a frozen wasteland with a massive tower in the distance. A tower that was trapped by a blizzard, and Deniel was standing miles away from it atop a cliff. He opened his eyes right away once the image popped into his head, completely startled by what he saw. "Iceberg..." he quietly whispered to himself after seeing the image. He had never been to the country, but something in his gut told him that what he just saw was Iceberg. The bigger question he had was why? Why remember a place he had never been to? And what was with the massive tower? Why the blizzard? So many questions sparked into his head, mainly because he didn't imagine this, it was like he remembered it.

He shook his head away from the memory, and tried to think of something else. Instead of getting something better, he got something as bad. The dream that he had earlier, of being trapped inside a wall with nothing but fluid, but still being alive. What was that? Where was that? And most of all, who was Diabolos? Nidhogg was able to hear Deniel's thoughts because of how connected the two were, and the sword was dreading that he started to recall things he shouldn't yet be ready for. Quickly, the sword changed the matter at hand. "So umm...Deniel...what's this job all about? You've never told me?" Nidhogg's plan worked perfectly, as Deniel shook away his chain of thought out memories and remembered the job description. "Well, basically there's a village that all turn into lycans every fifty years, and that time is now upon them. It's up to me to make sure they don't do something stupid." It seemed like a simple enough task, but there was one feature Deniel didn't mention that Nidhogg found out. "That means..." "I can't kill them."

Nidhogg was silent for several moments upon hearing this from Deniel. It truly was a surprise to him, seeing how Deniel did nothing but kill his enemies. After silence came laughter. "Hahahahahah! Amusing! I'd say you should turn back right now, partner! I know that you will never be able to resist the urge to-" "Watch me." Deniel interrupted Nidhogg very bluntly. He knew that the sword was right, in a way, that it was going to be HARD to resist the urge to kill these lycans. Hard never meant impossible, though. And he was going to do everything in his power to make sure that he was going to get this done. He didn't speak to Nidhogg in a cold way to prevent any arguing between the two, but his bluntness did show his seriousness in the matter. Nidhogg laughed no more. "Very well. I'll trust your words, Deniel. Let's pray that both you and these villagers get through this night alive." Speaking of the night, the sunset was starting to go over the horizon as Deniel turned the Phoenix Mountains to start heading towards the village. He clenched his fist and tensed up his body.

"Angels don't pray," he said to himself mostly  instead of Nidhogg, and very coldly, "But I will give myself and this village a miracle." Nidhogg heard him loud and clear, but didn't say anything. He just thought about Deniel's statement and let out a quiet, "Hmm." Deniel could begin to see the village in the distance as nightfall began to come upon the land of Fiore. The mighty sun no longer shone in the sky, and darkness enveloped the land. "I will soon shed light upon this darkness." Nidhogg didn't know exactly what Deniel was talking about. He seemed to be more on his angel side at the moment. He talked about granting miracles, shedding light, and even said himself that angels don't pray. Nidhogg, knowing Deniel, figured he was up to something. Something inside of his little tiny self said so. And judging by Deniel, it was going to be big.

As the sun went over the horizon, darkness enveloped the land, and the moon slowly rose up into the sky to take its part of the world, howling echoed. All the way from the village, Deniel could hear snarling and howling. The time had come for him to purge these savage creatures. He was in the middle of an old, dead forest. Dead trees surrounded him, and mist clouded the area. A perfect place for an ambush. Deniel's red eyes glowed in the darkness that surrounded him, and his ears picked up the sounds of rustling bushes and crackling leaves. Living beings were moving swiftly around him, and he knew they were there. He stopped in his tracks, a smirk appearing on his face. "Come out, you beasts..." he said as his eyes slowly turned into a sky-blue color, "And face justice." Nidhogg took his eyes as a sign that he was about to use Eyes of the White Angel. This wasn't a good thing, though. It was a C rank spell, no match for lycans. What was Deniel planning? The rustling around him continued further and further, as whatever was there began to circle around him. "COME ON!"

OOC: Holy sh*t two boss monsters? Bring it on!

Twenty lycans. Twenty werewolves. Twenty unholy creatures. Twenty unlucky villagers...That is what faced Deniel right now. They had him all surrounded, hunting their first prey for the night. Every single one of them were down on all fours, and there wasn't much to distinguish them. Dark black fur, and humanoid appearances. Despite being on all fours, they looked like they could easily stand up on two legs. Their fangs were white, sharp, and ready. No blood had stained them, but they were all hoping to change that. Nidhogg was panicking at this moment. Eyes of the White Angel was no match for all of these werewolves. If Deniel didn't do something fast, he was going to die. "Deniel!" The blade shouted out as all of the monsters pounced on to his owner in an attempt to rip him to pieces. While they were in all in mid-air, the Nephalem began to glow with pure Holy Energy.

The blue energy was too much for the lycans to withstand, and each and every one of them dropped to the ground and jumped back away from the blinding light. "Deniel...you..." Before Nidhogg could truly ask Deniel what was going on, the Holy Energy started to arc off of him onto separate parts of his body. First his hands, then his legs, then his chest, his back, and finally his head. What was left standing was a creature of the utmost purifying aura: The White Angel. His entire body was covered up in pure white, golden trimmed layered armor with many curves and edges to it. They covered him from his chest to his toes, leaving only gaps from his shoulders to his elbows and his upper thighs. His shoulders had a golden armor on them instead of white, and his chest was a grey color. There were jewels covering parts of his body as well: diamond shaped sapphires on his knees, amber on his chest, and amethysts on his wings. Speaking of his wings, they were just as glorious as he was. He was complete with giant golden and white wings, which were each as big as himself. Powerful, but not even close to heavy for him. Part of his wings were his armor. The parts that come out of his shoulders and extend outwards are the ones that are made of metal. The metal parts are only to hold the wings together and create them as a whole, and there are two other sections that form the actual wings. The first part of his wings have two golden, thick crescent shapes that are separated to his white feathers by a long strip of metal that separates the two. Across the strip of metal and on the very top of where his wings first descent out of his back are large, powerful white feathered wings. The golden crescent shapes appear to be covered with feathers on the back side of it, and it's only on the front side that they have the appearance than they do.

The only human and incomplete part was Deniel's head: it was grey like the rest of his skin, but there was no armor there. His eyes were purely sky-blue and glowing, and his hair was as white as winter's snow."The White Angel!? Deniel, how did you-" Nidhogg knew he didn't have time to ask about this. He would have to do it later, but for now, he just needed to let Deniel focus on the battle around him. The Werewolves around him could barely take the blinding like Deniel's armor resonated, even in the darkness. That was too bad for them, because even though Deniel couldn't kill them, he was still going to beat the ever-loving-Hell out of them. "Prepare to feel the power of an angel!"

OOC: Current speed: 300%. Time to kick ass.

Deniel's trusted sword, Nidhogg, was now El'Druin, the bow of the high heavens. He didn't have the need for the weapon right now, though. He slung El'Druin on his shoulder and spread his giant wings wide. The werewolves were faced with a mighty holy creature, the bane of their existence. However, they were fearless and would take him on without hesitation. Just like last time, they all ran to his target and pounced on him all at once. When they seemed like they were about to pounce right on him, Deniel was completely gone. Using his Angel Blink spell, he vanished from the spot completely and appeared behind one of them. Using his wings to levitate himself, Deniel sent his foot swiftly into the back of the werewolf. The kick was so swift, they had no idea what hit them until they were sent clashing into the group. About half of them flew along with him several feet before sliding on the ground and getting up. They looked at the location of the kick, but nothing was there. Another kick was sent behind the back of the same exact one from earlier, as Deniel was so fast that he beat them to the spot that they were going for without using his Angel Blink.

Deniel moved on to hit the other werewolves while they were still confused about where he exactly he was at. He hit ten of the twenty werewolves before one of them finally got enough senses to stop him. He opened his jaw and held out his teeth, and then clashed them down. Suddenly, inside of its mouth, was part of Deniel's leg that he was attempting to kick it in the face. Deniel looked down at the lycan holding his foot in its mouth. Without any sort of hesitation, Deniel clenched both of his fists together and used another one of his spells: Hammer of Judgment. A gigantic hammer made of his holy Energy suddenly formed and smashed down on the head of the lycan to temporarily crush it and let go of Deniel's foot. Deniel looked behind himself to see another werewolf to try and get him while he was distracted. With his upgraded reflexes and speed, Deniel was able to elude it with ease. He ran out of the way, so fast that the werewolf didn't know he wasn't there until his jaws snapped down on absolutely nothing.

The wound wasn't too severe on Deniel at the moment, but he wasn't too happy about getting himself bitten into. "You...you will all pay dearly for this! Face the justice of an angel!" Deniel dashed from his location and crashed down on one of the lycans. He grabbed the beast by the ears and pulled them back to force the beast to howl and stand up on its two feet. The other ones looked at their fellow werewolf with Deniel behind it. "Come and get me!" The closest werewolf scratched at Deniel, and all he did was effortlessly lift up the werewolf and block it from the jaws of the beast that just snapped down on it. The werewolf let out a howl before Deniel kicked it away and then turned around to nail another one in the face. One by one, the werewolves started to come for him. The White Angel was the perfect form to counteract them: he had the reflexes and speed to keep up with all twenty.

All while this was happening, Nidhogg was absolutely amazed and astonished. After Deniel struggling so much in fights because he only had his partials to give him minor strength, here he was: a glorious angel smiting the unholy. It was an amazing sight, and Nidhogg was glad that he was witnessing it. He always wondered when Deniel was going to get a Full Body Take Over. Even though this one seemed incomplete, it was good enough for him. Five werewolves were about to pounce on Deniel and slash them with their mighty claws. Deniel had picked up a few improvised tricks right off the bat from this. His body was much more flexible than it was before, and he could feel it in his muscles and joints. As they pounced on him, he dropped down on his hands and used his upper body strength to raise up his lower body. He split both of his legs apart and then spun on his head. In addition, he also used yet another new spell to boost the effectiveness of the attack: Angel Burst.

His legs were coated in his blue Holy Energy to make sure that the attack would deal double the damage to these horrific werewolves. In addition, because it was his Holy Energy, they would be taking even more damage from it. And it sure as hell showed. When his spinning legs hit all of them, they each let out howls of pain and agony, and the fur on their faces seared from the Holy Energy.

OOC: My strength doubled, doubled again, plus 30%. That is one hard f*cking hit.

The five werewolves were knocked back from the sheer force and speed Deniel hit them with the attack. After spinning, Deniel pushed his hands on the ground so he could leap up and flip himself over back on his feet. He looked to his right to see another lycan slashing at him with his claws. Although he had enhanced reflexes, Deniel's body was too used to blocking instead of dodging. As a result, he held up his arm in defense to the attack. The werewolf cut straight through the armor of his Angel form, and piercing his skin. Right after that attack sunk into his skin, he felt another werewolf leap onto his back and bite down on his shoulder. "Errrgghhh!" Another werewolf came down to bite Deniel's leg, the one thing that kept him moving so fast. Soon all of them were closing in, and they were each going to take their bite out of him. He had to think fast.

Angel Blink. It's gotten him out of tight situations before, and it was never going to fail him. He didn't wait another moment to use it so that he wouldn't get bitten once again. The jaws that were clenched around Deniel's flesh bit against each other, and the werewolf that was about to leap at Deniel found himself only knocking itself into hits fellow lycans. The wolves looked around in confusion, trying to find their prey. One of them looked up, and let out a howl to the other werewolves to get their attention. Every one of them stared up at the sky to see Deniel flying high and mightily in the sky. He was emitting a strong blue glow in response to the amount of power he was gathering up right now. His large wings were wrapped around his body to make it easier for him to spiral high in the sky, until he reached a certain point that they couldn't get to him. He stopped to see all of the werewolves barking and and jumping at him. They smelled the blood leaking out of his shoulder and and leg, which was running down his body and dripping to the ground.

Deniel grabbed his bow El'Druin, which he had yet to use in the fight at all. The white and blue bow began to glow along with Deniel's entire body. Deniel grabbed the string to El'Druin and charged up the most powerful shot he could muster. "Haaaaagh! FIRE!" Deniel released the string to the bow, which gave off a recoil so powerful that his arm was sent back from the force of the arrow being launched. The arrow was even bigger than the area that Deniel and the werewolves were fighting each other. Upon sight of it, the lycans howled in fear and all tried to disperse away from it. However, seeing it was all they could. None of them even got ten feet away from it before it hit the ground and exploded. It was like watching a nuke go off. The werewolves were lifted off of the ground and launched away from each other, either colliding with trees harshly or skidding on the ground. When the explosion faded, there was nothing but darkness. Deniel could sense the werewolves were still alive, though. It was time for him to hunt.

"Oh my God...Deniel, what was that!?" Deniel descended to the ground with El'Druin slung on his shoulders once again. "That was the true power of an angel." Deniel cracked his neck and started to go in a random direction. There were twenty werewolves, now that they were separated and wounded, he was going to take the measures to hunt them down one by one. "Let the hunt begin."

Every werewolf was separated from the larger group. What was once an advantage in numbers was now lost. The blast radius was half a mile long, and the force was extraordinary. A huge distance now separated the large pack, a distance Deniel was going to take advantage of. There was one particular werewolf that was closest to Deniel, one that was all by himself. The beast panted with its tongue out as half of its body was completely burned from Deniel's devastating attack. In addition, this was one of the werewolves Deniel nailed in the face with his powerful kick spin earlier. One of its teeth were knocked out from his attack, and most of his fur was burnt badly from Deniel's earlier arrow. The werewolf stood on all fours while it panted from both exhaustion and pain. The werewolf then started to growl fiercely and ready itself for combat. It could still smell Deniel's blood, and it was close. Deniel wasn't looking for any method of stealth that the current moment. He was simply walking through the woods filled with dead trees towards his first target. It was the closest werewolf, and with his speed, it didn't take him long to get there.

"Hello my furry friend." Deniel spoke to the werewolf as he laid his sky blue eyes upon it. The werewolf only barked in response. It ran to Deniel to show its still lasting hostility towards him. Deniel seemed to be ready to counter attack it, until the werewolf let out a new attack Deniel hadn't seen before. It let out a howl, just like the werewolves had before, but there was something much different about this one. He could feel the strong vibrations along his armor and skin, and it also caused his eyes to shake so much, he couldn't see the werewolf coming for him. The beast pounced on Deniel, knocking him to the ground and then began to maul at him. Deniel's senses were still in somewhat disarray, but he mustered the strength to grab the werewolf by its side and fling it aside. The werewolf landed against a tree with a hard "Crack!". Deniel took this opportunity to stand up and shake his bloody face. The werewolf looked back at the tree it collided with, giving itself an idea. When Deniel looked up again, he saw the werewolf running at him standing upright. What was in its hand was one of the dead trees, ripped straight from the ground.

If it weren't for Deniel's amazing reflexes, he would have never dodged the werewolf swinging the tree at him. The lycan swung it in a horizontal motion, and made Deniel leap into the air. He landed on the tree branch the lycan was holding, and the beast looked up at him. Next thing it new, Deniel's foot was sent colliding into his chin with an amazing amount of strength. The lycan stepped backwards, dropping the tree from its hands and grabbing on to its chin. Deniel had chipped another tooth from it, but he wasn't done. The werewolf looked up to see Deniel already spiraling in a horizontal flight to him. Deniel's head smashed straight into the stomach of the werewolf, knocking it back. With Deniel's amazing speed, he stopped his flight and grabbed the werewolf by its leg before it could fly away. Like the beast was a rag doll, Deniel began to swing it around himself to make it crash on the ground multiple times over and over again. After above five swings, Deniel sprung himself from the ground into another flight, where he spiraled in the air again. He was still holding on to the werewolf by the leg, and by this time, the beast had become too wounded to react. Once Deniel was high enough, he threw the werewolf on the ground and flew after it. The moment the beast landed on the ground, so did Deniel: on its stomach.

The beast's eyes widened in pain and surprise as Deniel came crashing down on its stomach, a very weak spot when it came to the bodies of things, and giving it pain it had never felt before. This pain was only half a second, thankfully enough for it, as the force was so powerful that it knocked the wind out of the beast, and knocked it out. Deniel could see that the Lycan's eyes were closed, so it was either knocked out or dead. The job said that he had to leave all of the villagers alive, so he would have to bet his money on knocked out. To make sure, Deniel got off of the werewolf's stomach and got down on a single knee. He placed his fingers against its neck to check for a pulse. It was still there. Deniel sighed in relief and stood up on his two feet again. "One down," he said, although he didn't sound too excited about it, "Nineteen to go." It was a minor victory over a larger battle that needed to be one. Right now there were nineteen more werewolves out there, and if it took this much effort to just take down one, he was about to have his work cut out for him. "Better not keep them waiting." Deniel's slow walking turned into a blur in nearly an instant, leaving the knocked out werewolf where he was.

In just a few moments, Deniel found yet another werewolf caught out all on his own. In fact, he wasn't alone. Deniel saw that there were two werewolves waiting for him when he arrived. He looked at both of the canines one after another. Unlike the last one that he faced, both of them stood upright right off the bat instead of waiting on it. Each of them snarled and barked at Deniel, who merely stood there without fear. He slowly held his armored hand out to both of them and moved his four fingers back and fourth. "Come on!" The wolves let out the same kind of howl the one he faced before had done: the noise vibrated all over his armor and made his eyes shake and loose a clear vision of what was happening. Out of pure instinct and without relying on his senses, Deniel jerked his waist to the side and bent himself backwards to dodge one of the wolves from pouncing on him. The jumping werewolf landed on the ground harmlessly, but the other one was about to get a bite off of his leg. Deniel grunted in pain and used his other foot to kick down at the face from the werewolf biting at him. The beast didn't let up, but instead sunk its teeth inside of Deniel's leg deeper.

Deniel's eyes widened as he felt the other werewolf jump on his back. The werewolf on his foot let go of him and jumped away. The one that was on Deniel's back, with amazing features of strength, lifted Deniel off of the ground and effortlessly flung him forward. Deniel was about to land on the ground, before the werewolf that jumped back gave him a hard smack in the face with its claws. It tore through his skin and left horrible deep cuts inside of his face, knocking him aside. Deniel groaned out in pain as he hit the ground and the werewolf jumped on top of him again. Deniel looked up the beast with rage in his sky blue eyes. The werewolf held up his sharp claw again to scratch his face. Deniel merely waited, waited, and waited until the very last moment. The werewolf's claw came clashing down, and right before it hit his face, Deniel sent his fist colliding towards the werewolf's face with as much strength as he could muster. It was plenty enough, as the werewolf was sent flying back off of Deniel and landing flat on its back. Deniel didn't waste any time jumping up from the ground. He was about to have another fight on his hands.

The werewolf that was holding the tree from earlier came up behind Deniel with the tree raised over its head. Deniel frowned and turned around to the werewolf. The tree was coming crashing down on him, but Deniel was still much too fast and aware for them to hit him so easily. Both of his hands grasped the sides of the tree as he fought back against the werewolf's strength. He had to admit, the beast was very strong, but no where close to a match for him. Deniel still knew that there was another werewolf, and based on the knowledge he had of these things so far, it was probably going to bit him from behind. He mustered up all the strength he could to instead fling the tree with the werewolf on the other end right behind himself. The tree hit the werewolf sneaking up on him, and Deniel let go of it as well. With the force and strength behind it, both werewolves were picked up off their feet and sent crashing to the ground along with the tree. The wolves suffered a heavy amount of damage, but both of them were far from done. At the same time, Deniel was, too. He panted a couple of heavy breaths before he shook his head and looked back up at the wolves. They were getting back on all four of their limbs again, and they were ready to fight. The blow that Deniel gave them earlier with the tree caused their mouths to bleed, and one of them even looked like it had a broken rib or two.

Nonetheless, if they were still standing, Deniel had to sit them down again. "Come on! Face justice!" It was both Deniel and his angel speaking at the same time. He always edged on his opponents, but only in his angel form did he ever talk about "justice", and only in his angel form what justice beating the Hell out of things. One of the werewolves howled and came running straight for Deniel. Deniel was preparing himself for another pounce or perhaps a bite on the leg, but just as soon as the gap was being closed between him and the werewolf, the beast suddenly stood on two feet and began to slash at him with its claws. Deniel's instincts and reflexes guided him to the point where he dodged every single one. He jerked his head left and right, ducked up, or even bent his spine so far back, he was surprised it didn't break. The lycan snarled at Deniel and tried slashing at him faster. Faster or no, Deniel still outclassed the beast in speed. The ability to purge unholy creatures, and his speed and reflexes: the White Angel was the perfect choice to battle these beasts.

Not a single slash, maul, or bite hit Deniel. And just when things seemed like they couldn't get any better, they did. The werewolf from earlier did the same thing that it tried to do: sneak up behind him while he was distracted. Deniel waited until the last moment where it was about to attack him from behind. Then, he jerked his body to the side and jumped in the air stationary. With his flexibility and speed, Deniel split both of his legs apart to kick both werewolves in the face at the same time. The kick was hard enough to knock them both away and on their backs. When Deniel landed on the ground again, he made sure it was in a very stylish pose. His hand was rested on the ground, one knee was bent, and one foot was split out to the side. He was staring at the ground, until he looked up again and stood on his two feet. "Down and out!" He looked to his right and his left to see the two werewolves. Neither of them moved, which must have meant that he hit them pretty hard. He took out two of them at once. Seventeen more to go.

Seventeen. That was quite a big number. He knew that this was going to be a long night, but that was the point. If he ever wanted these guys to turn back to normal and not cause any sort of trouble, he was going to have to knock them all out until the sun rose again. "The Angel will fight until dawn," he said to himself and looked down at his hand. He clenched his fist tightly and smirked. "How fitting. Very well, I accept this challenge!" He raised his fist up to the sky, which held a full, yellow moon. The source from the curse on these poor villagers. Deniel closed his eyes tight and activated his sixth sense, trying to see if he could find any of the werewolves nearby. Like they were playing perfectly into his armored hands, Deniel could sense another werewolf moving straight on his position. It must have picked up his smell of blood, or even the blood from its fallen villagers. Deniel opened up both of his eyes and looked back at the two werewolves he had just beat. Both of them were still unconscious, so that meant he didn't need to worry about them anymore. Deniel looked back ahead of himself and smirked. "That's right, wolf, come to me. Lambs to the slaughter? Hah. Ironic for this situation."

The werewolf approached the scent that it had picked up several moments ago on all-fours. It approached with caution, as the angel it had seen from earlier could appear anytime. The werewolf sniffed around for the scent that entered its nose earlier. And sure enough, there were two of his fellow werewolves lying on the ground, unconscious. The beast walked over to one of the bodies, giving them a quick sniff. And then, a foot suddenly stomped down in front of one of them. The werewolf growled and looked up to see the angel it had seen from earlier standing right there. Deniel looked down at the beast with a smirk and a look on his face that said, "Sucks to be you". The werewolf only growled at him and then started to slash at him. Deniel had seen this before, and knew that it wasn't going to be a problem at all. Left, right, up down, left, left, left, up, up, down. Deniel was able to dodge every single attack from the werewolf. "Woo! Close one! Hahah! Nice try! Oops! Almost! Sooo close!" Deniel was taunting the werewolf between each and every one of its hits to try and edge it on more.

The werewolf only grunted and gave up the pursuit on hitting him in the face. Instead, it quickly crouched down on all fours and rammed its head straight into Deniel like a bull would. This was something Deniel hadn't thought of, and caught him off guard. Nonetheless, he still outclassed the werewolf in every way possible. He pressed his heels into the ground, grinding against the grass and dirt floor before coming to a stop. The werewolf struggled to try and push him any farther. Deniel grabbed it by the neck, and flung it with all of his strength behind him. "Hah!" As the wolf was still airborne, Deniel pushed himself against the ground and took flight. He ran straight into the werewolf, and rested his arm against its chest. When they came to a landing, he was on top and the werewolf took the full blow from his weight and the impact.

Shine Like the Moon! (Deniel!) Empty Re: Shine Like the Moon! (Deniel!)

Post by Decayuss 27th July 2014, 12:00 am

The werewolf landed on the ground flat on its back, with Deniel's arm almost impaling its chest. They slid for several feet before Deniel did a stylish back-flip off of the beast. Deniel was on his guard, because he knew that it wasn't knocked out just yet. These things had plenty of fight in them, which is why they gave him a bit of a challenge. They weren't going to beat him, but he at least needed to try to beat them. Just as he suspected, the werewolf was still ticking. The Lycan got off its back and shook its head. It snarled right at Deniel let out a terrifying howl. Just like the ones from earlier, it shook up Deniel's vision. Ergghhh! That howl is really starting to piss me off! Deniel told himself in his head. Deniel scowled as he saw the werewolf trying to hit them while he was down. Deniel had seen and experienced this attack before, so it wasn't going to do much to him again. "I hate coward's tactics!" Deniel yelled as he sent his fist to the face of his charging opponent. He managed to knock the werewolf back, far back actually. Deniel put a lot of strength into this punch to make sure that the beast wasn't going to take advantage of him while he got his senses back.

Deniel shook his head rapidly while his eyes were closed. When he opened them, he was surprised to see the werewolf already in front of him again. The best impaled its claw inside of Deniel's stomach, making sure to shove it in deep. Deniel's blue eyes widened and looked down at the beast's claw inside of him. The werewolf was looking him straight in the eye, as if mocking him. All Deniel did was look back in surprise, but his expression suddenly changed. It went from surprise and pain, to complete anger. He grabbed the werewolf's arm by the wrist and stared to fight against its strength. Deniel tried to push its claw out, while the werewolf tried to push it back in. Both of their eyes were locked together, and the test of strength began. No matter how strong the werewolf was, though, Deniel was much stronger. He eventually outmatched the werewolf when it reached the limit to its strength, and he shoved its hand right out of him. He couldn't help but give a huge groan in response to the pain of having something ripped out of a wound.

He wasn't even happier to the Lycan right now. He looked at the beast's eyes and then used his other hand to shove it away with all of his force. He let go of the beast's arm at the same time to make sure that it was going to be knocked away. Deniel ran after the beast, and then jumped while pulling his body to the side. Both of Deniel's feet collided with the face of the werewolf, and he pushed even harder when the impact came so he could knock it away farther and knock himself off so he could do another stylish flip and get back on his feet. The werewolf staggered back far enough into a tree, where the beast hit its head hard, and was knocked out. "Four down! Sixteen to go!"

Post by Decayuss 27th July 2014, 4:39 pm

Deniel suddenly dropped to his knees after knocking out yet another werewolf. He panted heavily as his felt his muscles in his body beginning to grow tired. Sure, he had plenty of strength and speed in him, but he was using it all too fast that his non-existent heart couldn't keep up with. He was pushing himself too far, and the night was only beginning. "Damn it!" Deniel grunted to himself as he tried to get his respiratory system back in check so the muscles in his body would get enough oxygen to move again. Nidhogg, who had stayed mostly silent this whole time, took this as an opportunity to speak. "Deniel, since when could you do this?" Deniel started to slowly crawl up to one of the dead trees so he could get some rest. Deniel leaned his head against the tree as he explained his story and situation to Nidhogg. "Ever since the exam, Nidhogg. Don't you remember? For a second I became the White Angel, and ever since I got back, I've had this huge surge of power in me. I've felt stronger, faster, and the world seems to be moving in slow motion sometimes. It's as if I've awakened the true power of a Nephalem. And I've had the feeling of this Take Over in me for a while...It's like I was holding something and I was ready to explode. So, I went out here and let it all out." Deniel grunted and stopped resting his head against the tree so he could look down at his hand. "And this is the result, I suppose."

Deniel chuckled to himself and slowly started to stand up on his feet again. While he was struggling to get to his feet, he groaned and grunted before he was finally standing upright again. "Alright...I still need to take down sixteen of these assholes. Better get going." Get going was something Deniel didn't need to do. Instead of him trying to find another werewolf, another werewolf came to find him. After Deniel took a few steps, something hit him from the side. A werewolf had clawed its way into his ribcage, knocking him back a few paces to the side. Deniel let out a groan of pain and grabbed on to his side with one of his hands. "Erggghhh!" Another harsh scowl came on his face as he looked at the beast who dared to inflict harm on him. The werewolf was standing upright, and the claw that mauled Deniel had blood stained on it. The werewolf held it up to its mouth, and began to lick its claws clean. It was both a taunting gesture, and a way to taste Deniel's blood to see if he was worth eating. Surely enough, the werewolf loved the taste. It's eyes lit up in complete bloodlust, and let out a howl in response to tasting Deniel's blood. It craved for more.

Deniel could tell that it wanted more of its blood, and he was going to use that for his advantage. He took his hand away from his ribcage, and it too was stained with his blood. "You want it? Come and get it!" The werewolf howled again and dropped on all-fours. It ran straight for Deniel and then jumped for his hand with its jaws wide open. Deniel waited, waited, waited, and then struck. When the werewolf was close to him, he used the exact same hand it was aiming for to smack it aside and then follow up with grabbing it by the neck. Deniel held the beast in front and away from him so it wouldn't get any funny ideas. "So...you think it's cute to lick my blood? You want some? Huh!? Taste your own!" Deniel smashed his fist against the werewolf's face to cause its mouth to bleed. The werewolf growled and snarled at Deniel, but not before Deniel flung him to the side and was getting ready to finish it off. "You're done for!"

"Aaaaand GO!' Deniel dashed from where he was currently standing to where the werewolf was flung to. He knocked the beast down to the ground with his elbow and straddled on top of it. That's when he started to relentlessly punch its face for taunting him in such a way and attempting to taste his blood. This would have gone on for a while, were it not for Deniel stopping himself at after the fifth punch. His fist was only a few centimeters away from the face of the werewolf, and that's when he remembered he couldn't kill anything. Not only that, but it was knocked out. If he punched it one more time, it might wake up. Deniel lowered his fist and stood up from the werewolf. "Five down. Fifteen more to go..." Deniel started to walk away from the scene of three knocked out werewolves, until he turned around and looked at them all one last time. They were still severely wounded, so even if they woke up, they wouldn't be doing much. With his angel's instincts, he made a cross shape on his body from his head to his waist, and then from shoulder to shoulder. He kissed his hand that made the cross shape and moved on. "This is going to be a long night," he said to himself, sounding very disappointed, and even glum about it, "I think I'm the one who needs to pray he makes it out alive."

While he was walking to the next area that might contain werewolves, it was Deniel who was on his guard for a sneak attack. He had only taken down five werewolves, and he already had a lot of wounds on him. If this kept up, he wouldn't be alive to take down the rest of them. Strangely enough, Deniel could feel his body reacting to his pain, as if the pain only made him stronger. No, not stronger, faster. Deniel's breath was still heavy from before, as his body still didn't get too much time to rest. To make matters worse, the wolf had bit his ribcage: where his lungs were located. The pain he was feeling in his lung area suddenly skyrocketed, and he was forced to gag and drop to his knees again. "No! Not now..." Deniel grabbed his rib area tightly with his left hand. Blood started to come in tiny drops out of his mouth. His condition was getting worse and worse. "Erggghhhh!" And his bad luck didn't stop there. He heard footsteps surrounding him. It didn't sound like it was in a group, but another werewolf had found him.

"No...not now..." Deniel didn't have much of a choice, though. He was going to have to fight this werewolf while standing completely still, on his knees, and with one hand. Normally he would take this challenge with a cocky smirk, but this is one thing that didn't seem like it was going to end in his favor.

The werewolf could see that Deniel was in an injured state, and it decided it was going to have some...fun with Deniel. The beast approached him on all fours, and then stood up on two of its feet again. The werewolf started to circle around the injured angel. Deniel scowled at he beast as his hand clenched on tightly to the wound one of his fellow werewolves made earlier. The beast dropped on all fours and moved its face closer to Deniels, giving him a sniff. "You have foiled with us a lot today, you know that? Angel?" That was the last thing Deniel expected. One of the werewolves from earlier...had spoken? After he beat the Hell out of five of them already, and they all surrounded him, and all they seemed to do was howl, ONE OF THEM SPOKE!? "You...you speak? You can talk!?" The werewolf moved its face away from Deniel and snarled. "Of course we can. You think of us to be so primitive?" The werewolf circling him almost laughed, "But there is something...peculiar about your scent. You are an angel, and yet I smell something else in you." The werewolf came close to Deniel again, and gave his blood another good sniff. "I sense so much angel, but there is something else there." The werewolf gave another sniff again and then frowned.

"Something that I cannot distinguish. Tell me what it is!" Deniel was also trying to figure out what in the world the beast was talking about. He was in his angel form right now, what else could it sense? Unless...unless his blood wasn't completely angel. No matter what, he still had some devil in him! Instead of answering him, Deniel only smirked at the werewolf. "Make me!" Deniel then defiantly spat straight into the face of the werewolf who was standing too close to him. The beast snarled and shook its face clear of his holy saliva. "Nagghhh! Alright, fine. You want to play that way...then I will. Heheheh." The wolf held its razor sharp claw straight at Deniel's chin, where he gave it a light scratch. Deniel only scowled back at him, thinking as fast as he could of his next plan. The werewolf held its mighty paw in the air and bent its fingers to give its claws a much more painful look to them. Three...two...one! Deniel had been counting in his head the approximate time it was going to take for the claw to reach him. And at the very last second, he needed to act fast.

Once the werewolf's claw started to head to his face, Deniel jerked his neck to the side to narrowly dodge the incoming claw. Then, using the hand that he had free, he grabbed the werewolf's arm and pulled it forward. He smashed his head against the head of the werewolf, and because his body was much more durable, it hurt the werewolf a lot more than it hurt him. "NAAAGHHH! YOU WRECHE-" Deniel jumped up on his feet with all of his strength and tackled the wolf to the ground, with his free arm pressed against its neck. "Oh...clever. Very clever. However, it's unlike an angel to do such a thing. What are you?" Deniel pressed his arm against the neck of the beast harder so that way it would run out of breath and pass out. "If you must know: I'm a Nephalem!" The werewolf tried to let out laughter, but it only choked and gagged. "Another one? Just like that one...hundreds of years...ago..."

He had six werewolves down, and now there were fourteen to go. Deniel slowly took his arm away from the knocked out werewolf. He stood up on his feet, with his hand still clenching the wound from his ribcage earlier. "Another Nephalem!?" This factor changed everything he thought about the situation he was in, and his very own existence. He wasn't the first Nephalem!? There was another one out there? "No...he said hundreds of years ago. There's no way that Nephalem could be alive now. Still, who was it?" Deniel frowned at the thought of a question. Who could have done this exact same thing he did over a hundred years ago? "Maybe one of the other werewolves...I mean villagers know." By this point, it seemed the pain from the wound at his ribcage had disappeared. Deniel was able to stand upright on both of his feet without any problem at all. He let go of his ribcage and looked down at his blood-soaked hand. "This will definitely attract more of them. The next one: I need to talk!" Deniel looked to his right, left, and then started walking forward again. It was time for him to find yet another werewolf, so that he would have seven down and thirteen to go.

Just like the other ones, it didn't take Deniel long to find another werewolf to take down. However, when Deniel laid his eyes upon the beast down on all fours, he didn't attack it just yet. "I know you guys can talk! So speak! Who was the Nephalem that took you out over a hundred years ago!?" The werewolf only sniffed the air and then tilted its head to the side at Deniel. Instead of looking like it was on the hunt, it now looked confused. Deniel clenched his fist and looked even angrier at it. "Tell me who it was!" All the werewolf did was howl at Deniel in response and snarl at him. Deniel's anger showed signs of hostility, so that triggered the werewolf's fighting instinct. It growled at Deniel and looked ready to fight. Could it be that only a select few of them are able to speak? If that's the case, then I had better finish this one off quickly. Deniel's scowl lessened, but it was still there; It just wasn't out of anger but more out of his preparation to fight.

Deniel started to move to the side, and so did the werewolf on all fours. Him and his beastly opponent were moving in circles around each other. Both of them were very tense, but Deniel was the one who knew how this was going to end. Sure, these werewolves were strong and would easily tear a B rank or even an A rank mage asunder. However, he was much more than just an A rank mage: he was a Nephalem. And right now, he was an angel. There was literally only one way that this battle was going to end: a knocked out and severely beat up werewolf, and Deniel walking away to find yet another werewolf to knock out. However, he was going to increase the pace in which he did this. Ever since he knocked out the one that spoke to him, he gained a new goal other than making sure these guys didn't cause trouble: he wanted to know who that Nephalem was.

Shine Like the Moon! (Deniel!) Empty Re: Shine Like the Moon! (Deniel!)

Post by Decayuss 28th July 2014, 8:10 pm

This was his seventh fight out of his twentieth. His ordeal and endless night wasn't going to be coming to an end anytime soon. However, at least he was making progress. He didn't even know how long ago he managed to knock out the first werewolf, or how much longer he was going to have to keep this up. All he knew is that until the light of dawn rose over the horizon, he was going to be fighting. And right now, what he was fighting was just yet another werewolf. It was nothing more, and certainly nothing less. He had to admit, fighting these things was actually kind of fun. They were cunning, brutal, and strong. The only reason he was was because he was more cunning, more brutal, stronger, and certainly much faster. Deniel and the werewolf had been circling around each other for about five minutes now, and neither one of them had made a move. Deniel knew he could just end this fight in several punches, but he wanted to see what the werewolf would do. The werewolf, in the meantime, was trying to think about what it would do. This particular one had witnessed Deniel take out its fellow Lycans, and it was wondering just how this angel could be beaten. In truth, as long as Deniel was in his angel form against unholy creatures, he couldn't. They lacked the power and the advantage Deniel had. The only way they could beat him was if they all ganged up on him, and he made sure to separate them all.

Eventually, Deniel got tired of waiting for the werewolf to make a move. So, he decided to just do it himself. He rolled his eyes and dashed from where he was standing, closing the gap between him and the beast in less than a second. He sent his fist to the jaw of the werewolf, which knocked its head upward. Deniel then held both of his hands together and smashed down at the werewolf's head to pummel it beneath his feet. Just in case that wasn't enough, Deniel lifted his foot and started to hit the back of the werewolf's head with his armored foot. In just three hits, Deniel stomped on the ground instead of hitting its head. There was no way it was going to be NOT knocked out from something like that. And, if he hit in the head one last time, he was most likely going to kill it. Kill...it...a tempting thought. Deniel lifted his foot off the ground again and angled it directly over the back of the werewolf's head. Kill...kill...KILL! Deniel's foot started to descend down on the back of the werewolf's head before it was interrupted by Nidhogg. "Deniel!" The bow said to him just before his foot was about to hit the back of the werewolf's head. Deniel's eyes widened as he stopped.

"Remember what your objective is. Don't kill a single one of them." Deniel slowly stepped his foot down on the ground once again and nodded. "I...I understand. Thank you, Nidhogg." Deniel nodded and turned away from the knocked out werewolf. That was seven werewolves down out of twenty. Thirteen more to go. "Anytime, partner. Hahahah!" Deniel couldn't help but smirk. It was nice to know that he could at least speak and count on one person--or thing--to have his back and never betray him. Who needs friends when you have a talking sword, anyway?

"Hey, Nidhogg," Deniel started to talk with his bow in the little time that he most likely had before he had to fight yet another werewolf. "You think it'd be badass if I had a song playing while I was doing this?" If the sword had shoulders, it would have shrugged. "Perhaps. Depends on the lyrics and the genre, though." Deniel thought about the best kind of genre that would fit a single person taking on an army of werewolves. "Rock! Definitely!" "For an angel?" Nidhogg didn't think the idea of an angel associated with rock was too fitting. "Hey, it's not that kind of rock..." "Alright, then what are the lyrics?" Deniel merely shrugged. "I don't know. I just came up with the thought just now...Maybe something like...Lightbringer?" All Nidhogg did was laugh at the thought and the title Deniel gave it. It wasn't necessarily stupid, just such a sudden thing. "Rock talking about light? That would be something interesting, Deniel. I look forward to see your progress on it." Deniel grunted and was about to smack the hilt of Nidhogg, until he remembered that currently it was in its bow form and on its back right now. So, he just smacked the tip of the bow instead.

"You know that doesn't hurt me, right?" Deniel simply shrugged and smacked it again to show that he didn't really care all too much. "Of course I do." Both of them shared laughs together. It was going to be a short-lived happiness, as Deniel would soon see himself in another fight. But before Deniel was going to get himself into another easy fight with a werewolf, he began to think about what kind of rock song he would have to himself. "Huh...hope and peace. I wonder if the lyrics could have that in it. Hm...what about reckoning? Yeah! A reckoning! That sounds holy! And badass, too! I mean just listen to it! Reckoning! RECKONING! Rrrrrreckoning! Hahahah!" Deniel's current happiness and enjoyment when he was suddenly tackled down to the ground. Something had come out of no where and knocked him off of his feet. "Ergh!" A werewolf had sneaked up on him while he was thinking aloud and managed to get one good attack off. The beast was holding on to Deniel, with its jaw inside of his side. Luckily for him, it wasn't the same side that was hit before so his wounded lung would be safe. Deniel landed on the ground with the wolf on top of him. The beast roared right in his face and lifted its claw up.

Deniel caught on to its arm before the claw managed to maul his face, and then pushed up against the werewolf with his feet. He managed to launch the beast off of him and slam it into a tree. While the beast was flying, Deniel jumped up to his feet and clenched both of his fists. "I'm not a fan of sneak attacks! You just got on my bad side!"

Shine Like the Moon! (Deniel!) Empty Re: Shine Like the Moon! (Deniel!)

Post by Decayuss 30th July 2014, 8:57 pm

Fight number eight begin! Deniel was nearly halfway there. Eight of twenty was still as small number. He didn't know how far in the night was, but it didn't seem too far. And already, he suffered from plenty of wounds and barely made any progress with defeating all of the werewolves. He wasn't even halfway there, and he could somehow feel the magic of his White Angel form dwindling. Dwindling like a candle in the wind. Normally, this would have spelled trouble and meant he didn't have much time. However, because of Deniel's...unique ability with his Take Over, this meant nothing. Nonetheless, his problem right now was with the werewolf that he hit against the tree just now, the one who gave him a good sneak attack. The beast he sent flying collided straight against the tree with a hard thud. It dropped down on all fours and shook its head. The werewolf looked up at Deniel and snarled at him. Deniel merely challenged the werewolf by holding his hand out and gesturing for it to come right at him. "Come on!" The werewolf let out a howl and did exactly as Deniel wanted it to do. It came running straight at Deniel with its top speed. Even with its top speed, Deniel's speed and reflexes were far too outmatched for it.

The thing looked like it was moving in slow motion for Deniel. It also gave him plenty of time to think what would be the best move for this. He didn't want to just dodge it, he wanted to dodge it stylishly and attack it at the same time. Jump to the side? No? Jump over it? Maybe. Or perhaps he could simply stop it with one hand. No, not one hand. One finger. Deniel held out his right hand with his index finger pointed out. And as soon as the wolf came charging head first into it, the beast found itself to be at a complete stop. With just one finger, Deniel made sure that the werewolf was only clawing at the ground and wasn't taking a single step further. He could almost laugh at how amazing it was and how strong he felt. Instead, Deniel just kept a calm look on his face and stood absolutely still. The werewolf tried with all of its might to just take one step closer to Deniel, just one step would do. However, the strength of him was too unbearable. The werewolf had eventually tired itself out, and stumped itself down on the ground. It held its tongue out in exhaustion and looked at Deniel. Its eyes almost begged him for mercy.

Mercy is what Deniel was going to give it. Not his typical mercy of death, but the mercy of knocking it out so it wouldn't have to suffer anymore. Deniel raised his armored foot just above the head of the werewolf. The beast looked up and shut it eyes tight. It was hoping that it was going to be at least quick and painless. And that's exactly what it was. Deniel slammed its foot down against the back of the werewolf's head, knocking it out just as the captain of the guard did to him so many years ago. It wasn't enough to kill the beast, but enough to knock it out. "Eight down. Twelve to go. Ahhh...nearly halfway there. You can do it, Deniel. You can do it..."

"You can do it...you can do it...you can do it...you can do it...you can do it...you...can...do...it..." Deniel walked away from the knocked out corpse of the werewolf, but it felt like every limb in his body was exhausted. No matter how hard he tried, his fatigue was going to catch up with him. His magic power felt as good as new almost, but his body's physical condition had been exhausted. He had been through this routine before, not too long ago he felt completely exhausted. He felt like resting, but there were still twelve more werewolves out there. Either they were all still on the hunt for them, or they all got out into Fiore. The second option couldn't happen no matter what. "I won't..." he spoke as he took very slow, tiresome steps, "Endanger...innocent...lives!" Deniel's slow and almost painful walking pace started to quicken and speed up. He panted heavy breathes out of the agony burning inside of his body. His lungs felt like something on the inside was eating them, the muscles in his bodies ached, and his non-existent heart felt like it was going to explode. And it would have, were it not for Vergil's operation all of those years ago. The Artificial Heartbeat; what keeps Deniel alive today even without a heart. However, whether he had one or not, it wouldn't change the fact that he was pushing his Angel body beyond the limits it could do.

"Come on, Deniel! Show these beasts the true power of an angel! The true power OF A NEPHALEM!" With his own personal speech, Deniel gained a burst of motivation and confidence. His body's fatigue suddenly resets himself, and Deniel felt like a new man. And with his body feeling as good as new, so did his speed. Deniel didn't waste any time, one moment he was there, and the next he wasn't. And then the third moment, he leaped and hit another werewolf right in the back of its head. It wasn't enough to knock it out, but it was enough to get its attention and harm it. The werewolf staggered forward, as it was standing upright, and Deniel flipped himself backwards to land perfectly on his feet right behind it. The werewolf shook its head and looked back at Deniel. The angel only smirked and held his hand out to him. "Come on!" The werewolf gave him an angry look and let out a terrifying howl and snarl. This howl was designed to disorient Deniel's senses like the last ones were. However, Deniel had grown too accustomed to the attack to let it do that now.

He jumped right over the howl, therefore dodging the waves that would paralyze his senses. The sound waves are what hit him, but not the waves that could harm him. Without giving the beast any other chance to fight back, Deniel smirked and then dove straight down to it from where he was staying in mid-air. He tackled the werewolf into the ground and gave it a good whack on the head to make sure it was knocked out. Deniel stayed on top of it for a few moments, waiting it see if it would move. After it didn't and only remained there breathing with its eyes closed, Deniel nodded and got off of it. "Whew...that means that that's the...ninth one! Eleven more to go! I'm nearly halfway there! I! Can! Do! This!"

"These werewolves are starting to make my skin crawl." Deniel frowned down at the unconscious body of the werewolf he had just recently defeated. He still had to defeat eleven more of them, and he doubted they would end there. There was no way only twenty people inhabited the village. Which meant that even after he knocked out the twenty werewolves, he would still have several more to go. And what was stopping them from waking up? They may have been knocked out, but there was no way they could stay like that forever. "All I'm doing right now...is a wild goose chase. I'll never get this done unless I take out the source!" Deniel looked towards the south part of Fiore, the place that he was looking at upon his arrival before the werewolves came: The Haunted Village. He narrowed his blue eyes at it and nodded to himself. "That's where I need to go. Now let's go!" Deniel was talking of course about himself, but also his partner, Nidhogg. The bow was still on his back, and Deniel knew he would need it again. Some big battle was approaching him, and he could sense it. In fact, he could sense a lot of thing since entering his angel form. He was given sights beyond sights, and could hear anything from miles away. It was extraordinary how much of the world a normal person could miss.

Enough about his senses, though. He needed to think about his target: the head honcho of this all. These werewolves had to have had someone behind the scenes calling the shots.

Those partaking in the current Shine of the moon job, it has come to our attention that the job had no word count. So from now on out we have added a 400 word count to the job. All previous post don't have to meet this requirement however all future post have to be 400 words or more.

"Deniel, can I make a recommendation?" Nidhogg asked Deniel as he walked towards the village. Deniel nodded at his bow so he could say what he wanted. “Perhaps you might want to take care of the werewolves faster. Grab El’Druin, and split it in half.” Deniel stopped in his tracks at the crazy idea. Split his bow in half? Deniel was going to question Nidhogg, but it seemed every time he did, he was wrong. So without asking anything, Deniel grabbed El’Druin from his back, and then did as Nidhogg told him to do. With all of his strength, which really didn’t take a whole lot it seemed, he split his bow in half. And the instant that he did, it glowed a blue Holy Energy, and shaped itself into two separate forms. When the energy faded away, Deniel was holding two sheathed white katanas in his hands. “Woah...sweet!” Deniel took these katanas and put them at his sides. His armor enveloped the scabbards so they would stay in place, creating a sort of hole for them to stay in. Deniel then crossed his arms and grabbed each katana’s hilt. He drew both white blades from their scabbards, causing the metal to reflect the moonlight, and shine in the darkness. “Hmmmm.” Deniel circled his swords in his hands, so that the back of the blades were facing the front. And then, he slashed out in front of him.

At blinding speed, Deniel hit a certain spot over and over again with the back of his blades, so it wouldn’t cut, but simply whack. After about ten hits, which was an overkill, Deniel appeared right in front of the location, facing away from it. He was crouched down low with his hands spread out and behind him, like a ninja, and his katanas in them. Just behind him, a werewolf fell unconscious. Ten more to go. Deniel got out of his stance and looked down at both of his blades. They were really fantastic. Using two of them gave him much more speed than just one, which suited the style of his angel form. These things would probably be much more efficient than his bow. These things would probably be much more efficient than his bow. Deniel let out a small laughter and then looked back at his destination; the haunted village. There were ten werewolves left, and probably eleven considering there was a leader to them all. Deniel suspected he would run in to at least two more werewolves while on his way to the village, but that didn’t bother him all. The more the merrier. And he couldn’t get enough of this.
