Alone... This is how it must be.
Janna pulled the cloak tighter over her eyes, so that her red orbs were completely hidden. Angrily, she held a job paper in her hand, while Isao was trying to calm her down slightly. She was so angry. Angry with Savage Skull. Angry with her guildmates. Lately, she had been noticing that ever since she got B Rank none less, she had been walking around on jobs alone. All alone. Not because she wanted to, but because possibly not a lot of people wanted her. Whatever. It was what they wanted, and Janna herself was sure that she alone could manage to beat everything in her way. As if she needed someone with her. She was perfectly fine all by herself. Not like she actually cared. She had managed to go through life alone, so this was no different.
Shaking off every thought of her head, she looked at the job sheet she held tightly in her hand. In fact, she held it so tightly that she had quite indeed broke it with her nails, making small holes in the old crumpled paper. She sighed and put it in one of the multiple pockets of her cloak, separating from the wall she was leaning against. The cold air in the train station pushed slightly her cloak, revealing strands of her blonde hair, which didn't bother her at all, but she would rather keep her appearance out of sight. Her entire appearance. And so, she placed her hand on the cold metal wall of the train and climbed into it, trying not to lose her balance and fall on the crimson velvet carpet, hoping her metal boots wouldn't make any noise. Gladly, they didn't. She walked to the last cabin, a cold, gloomy dark cabin and sat in it, alone, with Isao on her shoulder. She wanted to be away from people for a while. She needed to be away.

The train cabin resulted utterly disturbing to the ReEquip mage. Janna was used to the dark, but the complete, creeping silence was entirely too much.
Janna trained her eyes on the door of the cabin and kept them there, following closelt every occassional movement in front of her cabin. It was quite obvious that her focus and concentration had increased drastically. Isao was quite worried of how his master was doing, although he kept his cool and stood leaning against the cold and dusty old window, his yellow fur slightly shifting, pushed by the freezing air that entered throught one of the holes in the window. Isao's grip on Janna's hand tightened several times as he felt that he was being pulled towards the holes of the windows. Janna could hardly believe that there was such an abandoned cabin. It's as if a foot hadn't been set there for ages, if not for decades, not even the foot of a passanger, or a guy from the train's manteinance.
The blond dark mage reached her hand out and took Isao in her hands, petting softly his fur while trying to stand the cold air that was coming through one of the broken holes in the windows. Fortunately, the black cloak that covered Janna gave her some warmth, making it easier to stand the cold. Suddenly, though, the cabin door opened, making a wave of warm air coming from possibly a radiator that had warmed the hallways up, invade her cabin, making her lose her breath for the sudden and short temperature change that she experienced in the room for a second. Janna looked up, blaming herself for distracting herself and not looking at the cabin entrance. A woman, apparently around 40 years old, and quite out of shape, to be honest, came in with a tormented expression.
'' Good Day...'' She spoke up. Obviously, the creepy cabin with the cloaked person was terrifying her. '' May I see your ticket?''
Janna shover a hand into one of her pockets, tacking out a ticket, then quickly handing it to the lady. The fat lady caught it with trembling fingers, as if Janna could throw her out of the window and kill her at any time. Well, Janna could do it, actually, but she didn't want to.
Upon the ticket revision question being solved, and the woman quickly making her way away from the malefic cabin, Janna sat down, glad that this was over with. Now she just hoped this ride would end before she got awfully annoyed or someone decided to disturb her calm journey.

Finally, after what appeared to be an eternity, the train stopped for a break just at the place where Janna's job was. She hopped off the train, passing just next to the fat woman from before, seeing the terrified expression on her face as the cloaked girl from before that reminded her of a shadow passed by, her cloak slightly waveing backwards because of the speed at which she was walking. She jumped off of the train, landing perfectly, her cloak falling around her body in a smooth sea of black. Isao jumped on the floor next to his master, looking around the scene with curiosity. He pulled his master's cloak softly three times, just to catch her attention, and when she looked down at him, he spoke up. '' Ne, Janna, what are we supposed to do on this job?'' He asked, looking around worriedly. Janna snatched he job paper out of one of her multiple pockets and opened it, her eyes running the lines again.
'' Well, we're going on a quest to find a treasure in the Ancient Ruins that was supposedly burried by the ten Original Wizard Saints, Isao.'' Janna explained. They would have to cross the entire place and find this treasure, on the meanwhile fighting off some lousy thieves, or whatever they were. Were they, or were they not thieves, Janna would have to fight them either ways. Upon finding this treasure, though, Janna supposedly would have to take it to Count Sparrow, to the Magical Council, but this was definetly not happening. There was no actual way in hell Janna out of all people would approach the Magical Council. Isao, who seemed to have noticed that his master had got lost in her own thoughts again, decided to shut up and avoid commenting on that, letting Janna prepare herself mentally for the fight that awaited her, as well as phisically.
Janna was perfectly conscious that it was going to be hard, mostly knowing that now she was alone. Had it been or not her will to be alone was a secret, but still. This time, there was no Aedre, no Rekka, no Shizuma with her. It was just herself, like in the old days. Reluctantly, she shook her head to clean it from all thoughts about the past and the present, and focus as much as she could on what she had to do. After all, if she was not focused, how would she win a fight?

Broken, abandoned before centuries, lonely, covered in thick vegetation, the Ancient Ruins were not a place where one would spend his day. Sun shining bright above the heads of the travelers that dared to near this location, burning the tall, lonely buildings that remained from another era, from a time that remained a mystery. Janna made her way through the flora cauteously, watching her feet just incase there is some snake or predator that she doesn't notice and steps on. Actions like this one might lead to a stupid, utterly ridiculous and very shameful injury for the ReEquipper, something she would not allow to happen. As it seemed for now, everything went smoothly, which was reassuring, though not very. The supposed thieves could jump out at any moment, which was practically the worst part, but thanks to Janna's enhaced senses, she could hear even the smallest noise and, gladly, thanks to her quick exquipping speed, she would be able to react quickly and defend herself from any possible attack, and later on, counterattack the person that made the first assault.
Gladly, for the moment, the only sound that could be heard was the one of Janna's metallic boots colliding against an occasional rock or something solid in the way. Both Isao and Janna kept silence, wondering when the first assault would arrive, nervous of how it would turn out. Despite Janna's nervousness, there was a certain note of enthusiasm and expectation in her eyes, as she was willing to prove everyone that she was worthy enough to deal with this scum all by herself. She had had the feeling that on her first day in Savage Skull, she had given a lot of people the impression that she was a weakling, the shame of Savage Skull. And this was her objective today, to prove that she was no shame, that she was one of the worthy members, the true members. Not a simple lamb in the wolf's den. She was a wolf, like everyone else, and she was ready to prove it.
A small crack of a branch or something similar to that called her attention. Quickly, Janna turned her head to the origin of the sound, and prepared to fight, as a man lunged at the Savage Skull mage.

With a swift, quick backflip, Janna managed to escape what could have been a good blow in the head. Three big, muscular man came out from behind one of the ruins, making the cloaked figure that was Janna make a backflip and land perfectly on a nearby rock. Her cloak hadn't moved an inch, and was still covering her face. It was pretty clear that she didn't plan on taking it off, at least not for the moment. Once the time came, when she had to exquip an actual armor, maybe she would take it off... Maybe. There was no guarantee of what she or what she wouldn't do.
With a swift movement of her left hand, she pulled the hood tighter over her eyes, watching the enemies below her with hatred. Three. Armed with nothing, but swords. This was going to be easy. Taking her right hand out of her claok, Janna placed her hand facing the enemies, her palm open. In a matter of seconds, a golden magic circle appeared, a silver perfect sword appearing out of it. Janna winced as a wound opened on her forearm, and blood began spilling out of it. Of course, the same effect as every time that she summoned Themis' Blade. Despite the blade's usal damage done upon Janna, she quite loved it, because with its long, polished structure with sharp blade, it looked so menacing that most people would back away in fear. And the same happened this time too. Upon contemplating the majestic sword in the cloaked person's hand, the enemies slightly backwed away, and Janna could notice the grip on their swords tighten. Holding her blade tight, she rose her head, still hidden by the cloak, and smiled.
'' Come and beat me, if you can,of course.''

Surprisingly enough, all three of the of the enemies decided to attack Janna at the same time, although one could clearly see the hestiation in their eyes, as they suspected that the cloaked girl with the shiny sword could hide more and more perillous weapons under her cloak. Which was true, as Janna hid a large arsenal of weapons in none less than her pocket dimension, being a Requip mage. She could take them out in any time, out of anywhere, was it out of a rock, out of a pool, our of thw ground or out of thin air. It would be interesting for her to try to take out a weapon out of an enemy's body, but she had no idea how that would turn out, as it fell more into the cathegory of Bodymerge requip, and her requip was standart requip, not that.
Gladly, thanks to the sword's size, she managed to block two of the incoming sword attacks, and in the meantime kick the third enemy in the place where it hurts the most, making him fall to the ground in pain. The other two though reacted quick enough and decided to divide to attack Janna from different angles. She focused on attacking the one that was in front of her, her sword blocking his attack, while she had to dodge attacks from behind as well. Finally, unable to keep u anymore against two attackers, she rolled on the ground, away from the attackers and down the ruin, landing in a crouching position on the ground. She rose her sword, just in time to block an attack coming from the enemy she had kicked earlier, quickly managing to take the weapon out of his hands and slash through his waist twice, provoking two generous wound on his waist. He backed away, trying to catch his breath, while his friends joined in, but it was too late for him. Crouching quickly and slashing twice through the enemy she wounded before, she managed to make him fall to the ground, bleeding, at the verge of death. His partners looked at the cloaked girl and at his friend, trying to believe what just had happened.
'' Do you two want some too, or are you going to run away, like all cowards do?'' Janna asked, pulling her hood tighter over her eyes, so that 75% of her face had remained hidden. The only thing that remained seen, was the grin on her lips.

Returning back to the battle from the shock quick enough, Janna had caught herself fighting thw two of these pricks at the same time, which was certainly a problem. Right now she was holding up, but she wouldn't be able to dodge a lot of the attacks after some time. And it was quite clear, as soon enough, a blow arrived at her left. One of the enemies had inflicted a small, not so serious, though still, a wound. He had cut her cloak, too, which was worse. Janna loved that cloak. And now she was pissed. Quickly dodging a blow, she crouched, stretched out a leg and caused one of the enemies to fall,slashing through his stomach, making him fall to the ground in pain. The other one had just reincorporated and had prepared to land another blow on Janna, but she blocked it with her sword, damaging the silvery material. Damn. I need to exquip something else before my sword breaks. Climbindg the ruins quickly and successfully, Janna made a golden glow appear around the sword, and as fast as it came, it dissapeared into the pocket dimension. What should she use now? Maybe a more of a long-range weapon, could it be? Should she summon Artemis' Arsenal, that pretty pack of a ruby bow with precious arrows? No. She shouldn't use her stronger blades/armors either. Seeing how hard those guys went down, and considering they appeared weak, Janna would rather keep her better armor and weapons for later, and, hopefully, stack some of her magic and health so that she could actually activate the armor's special abilities, or the weapon's. The bad side of her magic was that most of it required a generous sacrifice of magic, meaning that the use of the ability of each armor could weaken the user drastically.
What should she do? Janna wasn't confused, rather she was torn between what to do and what to chose. If she chose one of her stronger pieces, nothing could guarantee her that a massive dude wouldn't jump out and attack her when she doesn't have them and needs them against them. But using a weaker armor/weapon would provide less damage dealt to the enemies, thus more hits needed to weaken them, which was not nice. Her mind raging with thoughts, she decided that she should risk it and summon one of her stronger ones, although earlier she had vowed to keep them on for later. The typical golden magic seal appeared above her feet, a golden aura surrounding the Savage Skull mage, giving her a godly appearance and air, making her seem no less than a god, a divinity. Quickly, the cloak dissapeared and Janna changed into a quite revealing armor, that had parts which resembled a dragon's body parts somewhere, but that did not matter. What mattered realy was the fiery aura that had suddenly arisen around her, as she prepared to attack the two thugs that still seemed quite stunned. Janna was not sure why exactly were they stunned; was her armor that scary or were they amazzed that a 16 years old, petite, slim, whimpy-looking girl could offer such blows and had such strength and speed.
Janna though didn't wait for them to recover: she threw herself at them, her reddish blade risen as she landed it just against the neck of one of the thieves, killing him in an instant, and quickly blocked a blow coming from another one of the thieves, who had tried to attack her while she dealt with his friend, although what he did not expect was that Janna herself would succeed in defeating his buddy so quickly, and that now that she was no longer with the cloak, no longer hiding herself, Janna had became so fierce and so good in combat, which was his grand mistake, as it made his focus on the battle dissapear, allowing Janna to stab him through the chest, killing him immediately. A smile on her face, she placed her left hand up, as she held her reddish blade with her claws, waiting for the next pair of enemies to come. Calmly, she slowly moved her fingers in a motion that only meant one thing;
Come at me.

Janna though didn't wait for them to recover: she threw herself at them, her reddish blade risen as she landed it just against the neck of one of the thieves, killing him in an instant, and quickly blocked a blow coming from another one of the thieves, who had tried to attack her while she dealt with his friend, although what he did not expect was that Janna herself would succeed in defeating his buddy so quickly, and that now that she was no longer with the cloak, no longer hiding herself, Janna had became so fierce and so good in combat, which was his grand mistake, as it made his focus on the battle dissapear, allowing Janna to stab him through the chest, killing him immediately. A smile on her face, she placed her left hand up, as she held her reddish blade with her claws, waiting for the next pair of enemies to come. Calmly, she slowly moved her fingers in a motion that only meant one thing;
Come at me.
