Personality: (What is their personality like)
Generally a quite fellow when first meeting him, Grotto is a man of few words amongst strangers and new acquaintances. He prefers to observe both his surroundings and the people around him before opening up. He is very cautious and carries himself with good humor and is generally polite (lots of “please” and “thank you” s). Amongst friends however is a different story; grotto remains a good humored individual but all polite niceties go out the window, replaced with a comfortable mischievousness and (often) actions that are normally considered improper or perverse in polite society. Grotto is always open with his opinions and straight forward with both his intentions and his feelings on any matter. He is fond of expressing himself with slang and phrases that seem to come out of nowhere. He likes quoting people that exist nowhere except his odd imagination. Grotto is very friendly to all but those that rub him in the wrong way. Curiosity is often times what drives him into random situations; he is always looking for new knowledge, stories and ways of doing things. He generally does not gamble but is fond of games of any kind. Grotto is an infamous flirt and is always trying to gain favors from those girls he finds attractive (which is almost all of them). Due to Grotto not being human, he often does things or says things that are normally considered rude or insensitive, he simply doesn’t always understand how humans think or react to things. He is an extremely loyal individual to any one that earns his friendship and will do almost anything to ensure their happiness and wellbeing. On the other hand, he is very unforgiving to anyone who earns his ire and will stop at almost nothing to seek vengeance or retribution. This above all other traits shows that he does have a bit of a dark side, his sense of humor and “fair play” are the other traits that show this part of his personality.
To grotto, combat is not simply a necessary part of life, it is an art form. His behavior in combat varies depending on the situation and his opponent or enemy. Combat to grotto is an enjoyable way to test once self and will gladly except any challenge whether it be for a friendly sparing session or single combat from a powerful enemy. Grotto tends to go a little easier on girls than he does on guys, however, he has a tendency to take advantage of the physical contact combat provides when fighting female opponents. When fighting opponents he considers weaker than himself, grotto has a tendency to play or toy with the opposing combatant or combatants. He will make jokes and point out the flaws in his enemy’s attacks, often giving them pointers on how to improve their battle abilities. When fighting opponents who he believes to be equally matched to himself he will still joke and toy with his opponent, but will look for an opening in the process and will gladly take advantage of any such opportunity. Against opponents more powerful than himself he fights defensively, studding his opponent’s moves to try and find their weakness. In dire situations, such as when he is trying to protect someone or when someone he cares about is in danger, Grotto will take the fight seriously and will dispatch his enemy in the quickest, most efficient way possible. Grotto is a hunter/predator by nature and thus is proficient at stealth. He will use his stealth to take out strong holds and for such jobs that require a certain level of professionalism. In such situations he will always attempt to take out the enemy before they even suspect his presence. His combat training offers grotto a wide range of martial arts and weapon proficiencies to bring to the table. In addition, his “fair play” mind set allows him to “fight dirty” and ensures he is never unarmed. Grotto has even been known to use a smaller opponent as a weapon, wielding said opponent as a “soft” club kind of weapon.
Grotto has not had any experience being in charge, as much as he is looking forward to his turn to shine, he does not look forward to the responsibility. Grotto does however know how to follow orders, he is a great team player that can support his team members or simply follow his end of the plan. He has no problem doing what he is told so long as whoever is in charge has not proven themselves incompetent. If the leader becomes uncaring to the team members (or underlings) wellbeing, grotto will be the first to turn on the leader, however, because he considers such behavior as a betrayal and thus “fair play”. Grottos origin makes him intolerant of abusive or incompetent leaders.

Likes:(What does your character like and why? )
- food: he loves food, specially trying new food. The more unusual the more he wants to try it. He keeps a list of all the types of animals he has eaten. Loves home cooked meals, sweets and pastry’s most of all.
- girls: he is a romantic perv. Likes women, tries to be romantic about it, gets “crushes” really easily
-weapons/combat: loves weapons, weapon specs, combat techniques (both armed and unarmed).
-jokes/pranks: good natured pranks amongst friends and sharing of jokes always bring a smile to his face, even if he is the butt of the joke or the victim of the prank.
- cooking/baking: Grotto enjoys cooking and baking food for friends and showing off his recopies

Dislikes: (What does your character dislike and why?)
- Arrogance: he hates when any one treats others as lesser beings, or when any one acts as if they are better than everyone else
-abusiveness: due to his past experiences, grotto cannot stand when any one mistreats others, weather people or animals
-high pitched sounds: “high pitch sounds just hurt and gimme headaches” says it all
- Unnecessary suffering: sometimes suffering is a necessary part of life; however, grotto cannot witness any kind of unnecessary suffering without feeling like he has to do something about it

- Self-improvement: grotto wants to be the best grotto he can be. The best combatant, most powerful wizard, the greatest hunter.
- maintaining the balance: strives to maintain peace in the world, where forces of light and darkness exist in tandem and harmony.
- to experience: strives to experience everything life has to offer, in all of its glory, good and bad.

Fears: (What does your character fear in life? Can be phobia or anything else. )
- becoming corrupt: due to his dark nature, grotto fears becoming evil and power hungry.
- loss of loved ones/friends: fears losing those close to him and the possibility of not being able to prevent it.
- being forced into servitude: he fears returning to the life of slavery and having to do things against his will.

General Appearance
Height: 6’5” tall
Weight: 340 lbs.
Hair: black with blood red and dark blue highlights, shaved on the sides and back, top is held in two braids down his back that reach his waist in length.
Eyes: dark red irises (easily confused for brown in poor lighting)

Appearance:
Grotto is a large imposing individual, he appears to be human but upon closer inspection it is obvious he is something other than. His arms are long for his size and as thick as his legs, both of which are thick with muscle built upon muscle over unusually thick bones. He is barrel chested and his shoulders look to be as wide as an average man is tall (really about 4 feet wide, but look bigger). His hands are large enough to encompass a grown man’s head. Although very muscular, grotto has a bit of softness to his slightly roundish belly because of his fondness of food and specially sweets. Grotto has a somewhat square-ish head, a chiseled, well-formed jaw and chin. His expressive face can deliver the friendliest of smiles as well as the most fearful of glares. His deep, intelligent eyes can convey his every emotion without question.
Grotto’s style is basic; he likes simple, functional clothing. At home and while training he wears a monks outfit of loose pants, a simple loose shirt, a simple vest and wrappings on hands and feet. Grotto does not like wearing shoes, so he avoids them whenever possible, preferring his wrappings or simple sandals made of woven straw and soft leather soles. Grotto always wears a head wrapping (due rag) type head dress, often underneath a wide brimmed straw hat. His head gear makes it so that his hair cannot be seen when he faces you. When traveling or out in town he also wears heavy steel toed boots, reflective sunglasses and a long black coat (trench coat style). In addition, Grotto enjoys wearing various uniforms and does so gladly whenever the situation calls for it.
