Personality:
Grey is portrayed as self-serving, self-absorbed and selfish because he does whatever he likes whenever he likes and as long as it pleases him he doesn't care who he destroys in his wake. He is hell bent on finding and fighting strong fighters, his insatiable love for spilling the blood of powerful fighters in combat serves to fuel his sadistic desires.  With his manipulative and self-centered nature, Grey is essentially a sociopath. He does not care for what has happened in the past as he is only interested in what could be amusing to him in the future or present.

While Grey's nature tends to be malevolent, he isn't an indiscriminate killer. While he has no problems killing anyone regardless of age or sex, he only kills people who are in his way or people he deems worthy. As such his character is more simply amoral than flat out evil. He will even assist legal mages if there is fun in doing so or if it will make them stronger for a more entertaining fight in the future. Above all else, Grey cares only about having fun and a good challenge which may or may not, but mostly may involve killing people.

Grey is a whimsical liar. It is very difficult to tell if his words and actions are deceptive or not. Sometimes he can have shocking actions during battles but they in fact are careful and devilish calculations to fool his opponents. He is entirely self-interested and loves destroying what he has meticulously built up. It is also strongly implied that he receives sexual satisfaction from doing so. What he lusts for the most is the thrill of killing powerful fighters in combat. Thus, he never seriously fights those who are still developing, only so that he can enjoy killing them when they have reached their full potential.

Grey prefers to live and work alone, except when his interests are put on the line, in which case he often cooperates with other people, to protect them. He, for the most part, displays very little expression. In contrast to his expressionless demeanor, Grey often speaks in a somewhat joyful and absent-minded tone. He is generally a stony, ruthless person with an extremely cold way of thinking, reflects only his interest. He often exhibits androgynous aspects of his personality which manifested in his wearing of women's shoes and using an alluring speech style typically reserved for females.

In battles Grey prefers fighting solo, he has this lone wolf complexion about him and rarely asks anyone from his guild for assistance. He is a one man team so to speak, so when a mission requiring him to join up with others arrives , conflict are bound to arise due to him not following orders or acting the role he was suppose to do. His love for blood also makes it hard for him to work in groups for as soon as blood lust takes over, it almost impossible to distinguish friend from foe.
Likes:
*Battles - Grey is always in search of worthy opponents to battle, its the one thing that drives him.
*Blood - whether its from him or his enemy, but preferably from his enemy, Grey likes the sight of blood.
*Hot springs - Everyone loves hots springs, they soothe the tired body not to mention good for the skin.
Dislikes:
*Weak enemies - He gets turned off by people who are weaker than him, though at present he himself is not that strong yet.
*Long lectures - Doesnt every one hate that? Specially the long mission briefing before a mission.
*Kids - Grey despises children, they are whiny, filthy and they always cling on to him for no apparent reason.
Motivations:
*To be a harbinger one day - Well it is the pinnacle of being a dark mage right?
*To find strong opponents - Fighting them is what he lives for, not to mention that experience gained helps a man grow.
*To one day own his own island resort preferably one with hot springs i it - its always nice to have a fall back plan, one cant be a mage forever.
Fears:
*To never grow - His greatest fear is he will be stuck on the current level he is now. He still has a lot to go before he can be a harbinger.
*To die a loser - Fights are what he lives for. He even tallies his winnings and loses, currently his wins and loses are at break even.
*To grow old ugly - He may not seem like it but grey actually is vain, thus the regular visit to the hot springs to keep his skin beautiful.

Appearance:
Grey face usually appears expressionless like an emotionless mask, and though in battle it changes to a more sinister looking expressionless mask which is quite weird given his whimsical nature. He has very long jet black hair, usually combed behind his head that reaches past beyond his shoulders. He also has very dark piercing eyes which would seem like swirling orbs of nothingness.
At most he wears long sleeves with a shirt underneath, as well as grey pants. Though in certain occasions his attire changes to to suit the mood.
