The Story
I.
"I don't need your damn help, and I never did," replied the maiden who Nikolai was supposed to be working for.
"Whether you need it or not, you're getting it," replied the Tartarus Mage, keeping his identification a complete secret. "I came here for cash."
"Goddamn it. Why do they have to send the complete schmucks to do this kind of stuff?"
"Hey kid, watch your mouth. I don't appreciate being talked to that way."
II.
"You are to bring the girl to a banquet at this specific location....." followed by a set of numbers and letters as Nikolai read the instructions. Well, this'll be fun. A short-tempered Tartarus Mage sending some bratty kid to her vantage point. He had intercepted this letter one day, and for no reason, it seems. He had an idea that popped into his head: get the girl to the location then destroy everything in sight. Now it was time to carry out said plan.
"Okay, whatever. Follow me. This 'banquet' you're supposed to be going to is just south of where we're standing."
"Why do I have to go to this, anyway?"
"Because your daddy said so," replied Nikolai.
"Those people are a bunch of damned idiots, anyway."
"Hm," Nikolai said. What he really meant was "I couldn't agree more."
III.
"So kid, I heard that your mother died. What happened?"
The girl stopped, and really told Nikolai what he could do(Go to hell). "It's none of your damn business anyway."
"Well, I'll be damned. Who knew a preppie like you knew such words?"
"Mom used to swear a lot."
"Well, I'll be damned once more. The people who are supposed to be the 'higher ups' of society are the ones who reduce themselves to our 'barbaric language'. Well."
"You have no idea how it is to be rich?"
"Hell no."
IV.
"I got thrown out of school for saying 'goddamn' once. Dad did get me back in, but the teachers became extra bitchy around me," said the maiden, escaping from her metaphoric shell.
"I got expelled for beating a bully with a tire iron," replied Nikolai. "They tried to send me to another school saying that they're equipped to handle 'my type'. You could imagine how pissed I was. How dare they place a label upon me! They should be the ones who are labeled. The ones who promote peace are the most judgmental. I've learned that during my travels, I'll tell you what. But whatever. I'm a forgiving person."
"It's pretty damn funny, really," replied the maiden. "I grew up expected to act with the utmost elegance." She began laughing. "I grew up to be the exact opposite."
"Well, I have to say, kid.
Nikolai and the Maiden slowly careered towards the banquet hall, where they saw a security guard.
"I'm here at the request of this person," said Nikolai as he handed the paper over.
"Alright, come in," replied the guard as he opened the door. The place looked like what Nikolai figured. There were drapes of velvet on the windows, a golden water fountain, people playing fine music in the corner, and waiters bringing fine food to their clients.
"God, I hate this place," said the Maiden.
Nikolai grinned, and thought of a plan.
"I could do something with this girl," Nikolai thought. "How cunningly did I hide my identity from her! But whatever. I could use her in my plan....."
"Nikolai, what the hell are you staring off into space about?" added the maiden. She must have known the Tartarus Mage's name from the conversation he had on a phone with the client.
"Your client told me something. He told me to help you find out who it was that murdered your mother."
"Murdered? Quit messing with me," replied the Maiden.
"Your father must have lied to you to save waterworks. Apparently she was slain by a person in this banquet hall." Nikolai tried to hide the feeling of accomplishment.
The Maiden thought for a second, and took Nikolai's words to heart. She became filled with unbelievable anger, the kind you would only see when someone close to you has been killed. Immediately, a green spark enveloped the silver-clad lanyard she wore. The lanyard then took the form of a double-bladed staff. Unbeknownst to Nikolai, she was a Fullbringer.
Nikolai's bracelet then took the same blue-green hue. He took was a Fullbringer. The giant silver fist appeared as he fired a blast powered by Spiritual Energy at the musicians. The alter they were standing on exploded, and collapsed onto them. It's unknown if they survived or not. The Maiden then threw the staff at the chandelier which hung above the main table, and felled it, colliding with the table, and throwing glass pieces everywhere.
At one time, Nikolai and the Maiden performed a combo move, destroying the entire hall, but not before everyone could escape. Nikolai had completely exhausted Titan's Fist, and the Maiden her Fullbring, which was named "Psycho Staff".
"Well, I'll be damned. Who knew a little lady like you was so powerful," said Nikolai.
The maiden smiled. "You should really quit underestimating people."
One man came out of the wreckage and called the two barbarians, before Nikolai aimed Titan's Fist at him. It's not like it was going to do anything. Nikolai exhausted all of his power in that destruction of property, and disregard for human life.
"Just between you and me, I'm not a legal mage."
