Strengths:
- Flexibility - Kata`s magic is very versatile, as it uses the elements of Fire, Wind, Water, and Light. It is of use in multiple situations.
- Darkness - Kata`s magic has multiple buffs against darkness. One of her motivations in life is to combat the darkness, and her magic burns it away more easily.
- Light - Just as you cannot fight a shark with seawater, you cannot fight light with light. Kata has no motivation to fight a true light user, but a light user is weak against Kata because she is of their own element. Kata is strong against celestial wizards, or people that use other parts of their magic based on things from the spirit world.
- Has Area of Effect - This one is fairly self explanatory. All of Kata`s songs have area of effect, but it might change depending upon which song she is playing.
Weaknesses:
- Earth/Land - This is the only of the four elements that Kata does not have a song for. This is because Earth and Land are natural weaknesses to Kata`s magic, because it has the celestial aka angelic type, which is combated by earth magic, in the opposite half of the world.
- Poison - Kata`s magic is weak to poison, because much of it comes from minerals and such that are found inside the earth. She is also weak to it if it comes from things that are living... this includes poison magic, but she has a low poison tolerance as well. The only exception to this is Kassia`s Song, which can blow poison away depending on what kind it is.
- Living Magic - Similar to Earth Magic, Kata does not fare well against magic that comes from living things. Celestial Spirits are an exception, because they come from the spirit world.
- Limited in Use - Although Kata has different types of songs for different situations, she can only play one song at a time.
- Instrument-Based - If Kata loses her violin, she`s basically cannot use any of her spells, besides her Angelic Armour. Her violin therefore presents a distinct weakness in her magic, as well as causing serious issues if something malfunctions (aka a string breaking, losing the bow, etc.)
- Can Hit Allies - Because Kata`s magic is songs, it is AoE, and she does not always have the ability to choose the target(s). This can be an issue if her allies are in range, and are caught in the spell as well.

Abilities/Powers:
- Telepathy:
- - Telepathy : This ability developed before Kata`s magic manifested. Kata has the ability of telepathy, and she can speak to people directly from her mind. However, this is only one way, and since Kata is not a scout, spy, or an assassin, it`s not meant for information gathering purposes. This ability`s maximum range increases per Kata`s rank. There is an exception to the one-way rule, and that is when it concerns Kata`s sister, Irina. Kata can receive telepathic messages from Irina if she is within range. Also, the range is increased by 15m if Kata is communicating with Irina.
- Range Chart Per Rank:
- D Rank - 25m (I = 40m)
C Rank - 45m (I = 60m)
B Rank - 70m (I = 85m)
A Rank - 95m (I = 110m)
- F Sharp:
- - F Sharp (Active Ability) : Kata can use this ability a maximum of 6 times per thread. Using this ability causes any of Kata`s spells to do an extra 80% of Kata`s rank in damage during the duration of this spell (per post). This ability has a duration of 3 posts, and a cooldown of 5 posts. This ability can be cancelled by status clearing effects 1 rank above Kata or above. Status clearing effects equal to Kata`s rank will decrease the duration by 1 post, and status cleansing effects under Kata`s rank will not effect this ability. However, please note that this ability is cast on Kata, not her enemy. So, if the enemy casts a debuff cleansing spell on his or herself, it will not effect this ability whatsoever.
- Illumination:
- - Passive Ability - Illumination Part A : Kata has an 80% resistance of damage to spells affiliated with darkness that are under her rank, 50% resistance to spells equal to her rank, and 20% resistance to spells that are one rank above her. Spells more than 1 rank above her do normal damage, and resistance means the amount of damage that is not inflicted upon Kata. However, spells that are more than 1 rank under Kata are voided, (Kata receives a 0% loss of her HP as a result of damaging spells of more than 1 rank under Kata & are affiliated with darkness) If Kata is wearing her Angelic Armour, however, Kata has a 100% resistance to spells underneath her rank that are affiliated with darkness, a 70% resistance to spells equal to her rank, and a 50% resistance to spells that are 1 rank over her. This passive is activated by a spell affiliated with darkness being cast upon Kata, and lasts for 3 posts. It has a cooldown of 7 posts. If the passive was triggered while Kata was wearing her Angelic Armour, the cooldown decreases to 5 posts.
Passive Ability - Illumination Part B : Kata does 60% more damage to people that are under her rank and are affiliated with darkness / use darkness magic, 40% more damage to people that are equal to her rank, and 20% more damage to people that are 1 rank above her. Opponents that are more than 1 rank above Kata are not affected by Illumination Part B. If Kata is wearing her Angelic Armour, she does 80% more damage to people 1 rank under her, 100% more damage to people more than 1 rank under hers, 60% damage to people equal to her rank, and 30% more damage to people 1 rank above her. This passive lasts for 4 posts, as soon as Kata attacks someone that uses magic affiliated with darkness. It has a cooldown of 7 posts. If the passive was triggered while Kata was wearing her Angelic Armour, the cooldown decreases to 5 posts.
Passive Ability - Illumination Part C : Spells that are under or equal to Kata`s rank and are affiliated with darkness have a 1/6 chance to fail in casting (the spell). This chance is increased if Kata is wearing her Angelic Armour, for a 1/3 chance of fail. Kata rolls a 6 sided dice to see whether the attack succeeds or fails, a 2 indicates that the spell failed. If Kata is wearing her Angelic Armour, a 2, or 3 indicates that the spell failed to cast. This passive will effect any spells affiliated with darkness that are cast from within 8m of Kata. It will also effect any spells that are targeting Kata regardless of range, even if the spell is AoE. This spell does not have a cooldown or duration, and applies to any spells meeting the requirements above.
- Dream Song:
- Passive Ability - Dream Song Part A : Kata and her allies` attacks have a 50% chance of stunning opponents, as well of doing +50% damage of whatever their rank is. Kata rolls a normal dice to see if the stun chance applies at the beginning of when she activates this ability. Even numbers indicate that the 50% extra damage + stun applies, odd numbers indicate that this passive is not in effect. Stunned opponents cannot move for 1 post, they may only cast spell underneath their rank (Spells that are equal to their rank cannot be cast). Stunning can apply to opponents of Kata`s rank and one rank above. The duration of the stun is doubled for opponents that are under Kata`s rank.
Passive Ability - Dream Song Part B : Opponents that are equal to Kata`s rank have their spell`s channeling times increased by 50%. Increased channeling times are rounded down if the channeling time is an odd number. i.e. If the channeling time is 3 seconds, the channeling time is now 4 seconds, not 5 seconds. Opponents that are 1 rank higher than this summon`s rank have a reduced movement speed of 50%. Opponents 2 ranks higher than Kata and above are not affected by this passive.
This ability is active when Kata plays Marina`s Song, and it lasts for the amount of time as the spell. It cannot be cleared by status clearing spells, because it is connected to the song. It can be cleared by spell-channeling stopping spells or abilities.
- Seal of Angels:
- Active Ability - Seal of Angels Part A : Kata has angel blood in her, as one of her ancestors was an angel, and not one from a hundred million years ago. The Seal of Angels heals any dark damage dealt by a spell equal to Kata`s rank that is affiliated with darkness. It can be used a maximum of 3 times in a thread. It has a duration of 1 post, and removes any or all status effects caused by that spell. It has a cooldown of 4 posts.
Active Ability - Seal of Angels Part B : This seal also draws energy from Kata. Using this seal, Kata can breathe golden dust that activates some parts of her magic journal, as well as being simply good for decorating. This gold dust also serves one more purpose ; it grants Kata the ability to fly for a maximum of 20m, for 1 post. The maximum speed is 10m/s, and if one looks moderately closely, the golden dust takes the form of the outline of golden wings. This ability has a cooldown of 4 posts and can be used a maximum of 5 times per thread.
- Glissando:
- Passive Ability - Glissando Part A : Glissando raises the damage dealt per hit to any enemy within a certain period of time. This period of time is the duration of Kassia`s Song, which is usually two posts. In the first post, damage is raised by 50% of the person`s rank, and in the second post, damage is raised by 100% of the person`s rank. This spell can only effect a maximum of 4 people.
- Glissando Part B : Glissando also disrupts channeling of spells. It can disrupt spells that are equal to Kata`s rank or lower, and can disrupt spells that are within the range of Kassia`s Song. The notes cut off the flow of magic that is being transferred. Glissando can disrupt a single spell equal to Kata`s rank or lower per post, and that spell cannot be attempted to be cast for the rest of that post.
- Punishment:
- Passive Ability - Punishment Part A : Kata`s version of The Angel`s Elements is not meant to be offencive. Therefore, whenever she uses an F-Sharp or plays Firaa`s Song, this passive activates. Punishment deals 200% of Kata`s rank in damage whenever she uses this ability, and disables F-Sharp or Firaa`s Song for 2 posts, depending on which one she used. It activates at the end of the spell`s duration and cooldown, and is not counted as part of the cooldown.

- Name: Marina`s Song
Rank: D
Type: Water/Wave, Light
Description: In this song, Kata plays a soothing aria that washes over any allies within 12m of Kata. The spell heals them for 150% D Rank damage, and per post heals them for 50% D Rank damage. It also clears status debuffs of D Rank. During this song, Kata cannot play any other songs. If status debuffs are affiliated with darkness or fire, status effects can be cleared if they are of C Rank or lower. If the debuff is affiliated with ice, snow, or lightning magic, its duration is lowered by half rounding up, and only D Rank debuffs can be effected.
Strengths:
- Good against fire magic & darkness
- Heals others besides Kata
- Has area of effect
Weaknesses:
- Weak against ice & snow magic, as well as lightning
- Doesn`t deal any damage
- Kata can only play one song at a time
- Duration of 3 posts, cooldown of 5
Name: Kassia`s Song
Rank: D
Type: Air/Wind, Light
Description: In this spell, Kata plays a light, but harsh tune, that causes the air around her to whirl around at a rate of 12m/s. It has a range of 8m around Kata in radius, and deals 100% D Rank damage per post to anyone that is within the range of the spell. The spell also extends upwards (the walls) and the top of the song whirl is 10m above the ground. People that are within 3m of Kata are dealt 150% D Rank damage per post. This spell prevents anyone from going in or out during the duration of this spell, unless Kata is knocked unconscious or is unable to use MP. Anything that attempts to go in or out suffers 100% D Rank damage. People that use magic affiliated with water, darkness, earth, or poison take an extra 50% D Rank damage. People that use magics that are affiliated with stone, lightning, or metal take 50% D Rank damage less.
Strengths:
- Has area of effect and can affect up to 10 targets
- Also keeps people from going out or in
- Extends upwards, so people cannot fly out
- Is good against water, darkness, and some kinds of poison
Weaknesses:
- Is weak against stone, lighting, and metal
- Allies can be caught inside the song area of effect
- Kata can only play one song at a time
- Kata cannot move around while she is playing this song
- Has a duration of 2 posts and a cooldown of 4
Name: Firaa`s Song
Rank: D
Type: Fire/Flame, Light
Description: When Kata plays Firaa`s Song, the notes literally streak out and strike 6 chosen targets within 12m of Kata. The notes are covered in flames, and move at a speed of 14m/s. Each note deals 100% D Rank damage, and applies a debuff that drains 5% HP per post. However, for the debuff to be applied, two notes or more have to successfully hit the target; if one hits the target, Burning will not be applied. If the caster uses ice, snow, or darkness magic (or something similar to these) the music notes each deal 150% D Rank damage and apply Burning despite the number of music notes that hit the target. Any rank water spell will put out the flames on the music notes, not affecting the damage but removing any chance of the debuff Burning from those notes.
Strengths:
- Good against ice, & snow magic, as well as darkness
- Applies a debuff; 'Burning'
- Can also be used to sent flares into the sky for half the MP cost (the flames & light, without the ability to do any damage)
- Has area of effect
Weaknesses:
- Weak against water magic
- Only 4 notes maximum can be targetted at a single person
- Kata can only play one song at a time
- Actives the passive debuff 'Punishment'
- Has a duration of 3 posts, and a cooldown of 5
Name: Angelic Armour
Rank: D
Type: Light, Defencive, Support, Movement Type
Description: In this spell, a glowing golden light appears around Kata and hardens into golden armour. This armour can withstand 200% D Rank damage at first, and recovers 50% resistance per post. This regeneration can be stacked; so, even if the armour takes no damage, it will still regenerate and 'save' the resistance. The armour also gives Kata some abilties. Firstly, it increases the fail chance of Illumination Part C, and also increases Parts A & B. The specifics are explained above. It also gives Kata a boost to her movement speed, as well as granting protection.
Strengths:
- Is able to regenerate
- Gives Kata a 20% move speed boost
- Protects well against darkness
Weaknesses:
- If her Angelic Armour is summoned, Kata cannot play a song until 2 posts after she summons it
- Has a duration of 6 posts and a cooldown of 8
- If Kata desummons the armour early, she loses the ability to use the Seal of Angels for 4 posts
- Causes a glow around Kata, making her an easy target to see and attack
